A morphological study on autumnal morphs of Aphis glycines (Hemiptera: Aphididae)

The soybean aphid, Aphis glycines Matsumura (Hemiptera: Aphididae), is one of the most important pests of soybean. The complex life cycle of A. glycines is characterized as heteroecious and holocyclic, and has seasonal polymorphisms occurring during its life cycle. In the autumn, A. glycines occur as winged and wingless virginoparae in soybeans, as gynoparae and males that migrate from soybeans to Rhamnus spp. and as gynoparae, males and oviparae on Rhamnus spp. In this study, wingless virginoparae, gynoparae, males and oviparae of A. glycines were successfully induced in the laboratory and morphological parameters of these morphs were selected for quantitation. To aid in identification of these A. glycines autumnal morphs, these aphids were imaged by microscope and significant differences in morphological characteristics were found: distal parts of hind leg femurs of gynoparae were grayish black, which were darker than those of winged virginoparae; the 4th instars of gynoparae, males and winged virginoparae differ greatly in dorsal abdomen coloration and covering. Our results provide an important guide for distinguishing adults of gynoparae and winged virginoparae, and for identifying nymphs of gynoparae, males and winged virginoparae.
The ways for ginsenoside Rh2 to fight against cancer: the molecular evidences in vitro and in vivo.

Cancer is a global public health issue that becomes the second primary cause of death globally. Considering the side effects of radio- or chemo-therapy, natural phytochemicals are promising alternatives for therapeutic interventions to alleviate the side effects and complications. Ginsenoside Rh2 (GRh2) is the main phytochemical extracted from Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer with anticancer activity. GRh2 could induce apoptosis and autophagy of cancer cells and inhibit proliferation, metastasis, invasion, and angiogenesis in vitro and in vivo. In addition, GRh2 could be used as an adjuvant to chemotherapeutics to enhance the anticancer effect and reverse the adverse effects. Here we summarized the understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the anticancer effects of GRh2 and proposed future directions to promote the development and application of GRh2.

Piliated Lactobacillus rhamnosus (pLR) strains possess higher adherent capacity than non-piliated strains. The objective of this study was to isolate and characterize probiotic pLR strains in human fecal samples. To this end, mouse polyclonal antiserum (anti-SpaA) against the recombinant pilus protein (SpaA) of L. rhamnosus strain GG (LGG) was prepared and tested for its reactivity and specificity. With the anti-SpaA, a method combining the de Man, Rogosa, and Sharpe (MRS) agar plating separation and colony immunoblotting (CIB) was developed to isolate pLR from 124 human fecal samples. The genetic and phenotypic characteristics of the resultant pLR isolates were compared by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) fingerprinting, and examination of adhesion to Caco-2 cells, hydrophobicity, autoaggregation, and in vitro gastrointestinal tolerance. Anti-SpaA specifically reacted with three pLR strains of 25 test strains, as assessed by western blotting, immunofluorescence flow cytometry, and immunoelectron microscopy (IEM) assays. The optimized MRS agar separation plus anti- SpaA-based CIB procedure could quantitatively detect 2.5 × 10<sup>3</sup> CFU/ml of pLR colonies spiked in 10<sup>6</sup> CFU/ml of background bacteria. Eight pLR strains were identified in 124 human fecal samples, and were confirmed by 16S RNA gene sequencing and IEM identification. RAPD fingerprinting of the pLR strains revealed seven different patterns, of which only two isolates from infants showed the same RAPD profiles with LGG. Strain PLR06 was obtained with high adhesion and autoaggregation activities, hydrophobicity, and gastrointestinal tolerance. Anti-SpaA-based CIB is a rapid and inexpensive method for the preliminary screening of novel adherent L. rhamnosus strains for commercial purposes.

In the age of knowledge economy, human society is undergoing a great revolution from industry economy to knowledge economy, and human resources management has becomean important part of operational strategy of enterprises. Human resources possessing knowledge are the first important resources. The paper has put forward that human resources now available are the major force and the practical choice of sustainable development of enterprises. Based on the analysis of the current talents resources in enterprises and the characteristic of talents in enterprises under the conditions of knowledge economy, the paper has also come up with countermeasures that enterprises keeps and make good use of talents, namely, to develop pay-for-performance policies, to intensify efforts to inspire talents, to create conditions to keep talents by causes and to set up cause platform for talents, to accelerate the renewal of knowledge of the existing talents, strengthen talents` exercise and cultivation in practices, to retain talents by emotion, and to adopt open policies of talents, set up the new mechanism of talents management. The study is conducive to guide enterprises to retain, foster, make good use of talents resources, and also is favorable to realize sustainable development of enterprises.

본 논문은 한·중 의성의태어의 특징을 대조 분석하는 데 목적을 둔다. 중국에서도 한국어 교육이 활발하게 이루어지고 있음에도, 한국어 의성의태어에 관한 교육은 많이 부족한 편이다. 한국어 학습자가 한국말을 잘 구사할 수 있어도 한국인처럼 의성의태어를 자유자재로 구사하기는 쉽지 않다. 게다가 한·중 의성의태어는 여러 면에서 차이가 있기 때문에 중국어권 학습자에게 더욱 어렵다. 본 논문은 한·중 의성의태어를 음운, 형태, 의미의 세 가지 측면에서 대조하여 한·중 의성의태어의 특징을 고찰한다. 이 연구가 한국어와 중국어의 의성의태어의 공통점과 차이점을 명확히 제시함으로써, 중국어권 한국어 학습자들의 한국어 의성의태어의 학습에 기여할 수 있기를 바란다. The purpose of this thesis is to find the difference and similarities of onomatopoeia in Korean and Chinese language for Chinese learners. Even one who can be quite fluent in Korean can hardly speak onomatopoeia and mimetic words. Besides, there are many differences in onomatopoeia and mimetic word between China and Korea that make it more difficult for Chinese to learn Korean. This thesis explains commonality and differences of onomatopoeia and mimetic words of both Korea and China by classifying characters of onomatopoeia and mimetic words into phonemes, forms and meanings. With all they have been written above, the aim of writhing this thesis is to help the Korean language learners to find the most suitable way to learn Korean onomatopoeia well.

Aim: To study any correlation of LKB1 expression with prognosis in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases. Methods: A total of 70 HCC patients and 20 primary intrahepatic stone patients in the first affiliated hospital of Wenzhou Medical College were enrolled in this study. LKB1 expression was detected by immunohistochemistry. Patients were followed-up and prognostic factors were evaluated. Result: LKB1 expression was decreased in the HCC samples. Loss of LKB1 expression in HCC was significantly related to histologic grade (P=0.010), vascular invasion (P=0.025) and TMN stage (P=0.011). Patients showing negative LKB1 expression had a significantly shorter disease-free and overall survival than those with positive expression (P = 0.001, P=0.000, respectively). Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that LKB1 expression level was an independent factor of survival (P = 0.033). Conclusion: HCC patients with decreased expression LKB1 have a poor prognosis. The loss of LKB1 expression is correlated with a lower survival rate.
