In2O3 and metal-doped (Ni or Ce) In2O3 mesoporous three-dimensional (3D) nanospheres arrays were synthesized via nanocasting using mesoporous silica as hard templates. Effects of Ni or Ce doping on the structure, optical and gas-sensing properties of the In2O3 nanospheres were investigated. Both the undoped and the doped In2O3 nanospheres showed single-phase structure without any impurity. The nanospheres were about 20 nm in size and they stacked closely to formrigid 3D mesoporous structure. Achange in the value of optical band gap was observed upon metal doping. The room temperature photo luminescence behavior also showed some differences between pure and doped In2O3. Compared with pure In2O3 nanospheres, the metal-doped In2O3 exhibited superior response, fast recovery and good selectivity to ethanol. The enhanced gas-sensing properties might be related to the doping of metal ion and its effective contribution towards the oxygen vacancies, conductivity and crystallite size of the grains.

Single-atom Pd clusters anchored on t-BaTiO3 material was synthesized using hydrothermal and ultrasonic methods for the effective piezoelectric catalytic degradation of pollutants using vibration energy. XRD patterns of BaTiO3 loaded with monoatomic Pd were obtained before and after calcining, and showed typical cubic-phase BTO. TEM and HAADF-STEM images indicated single-atom Pd clusters were successfully introduced into the BaTiO3. The piezoelectric current density of the prepared Pd-BaTiO3 binary composite was significantly higher than that of the pristine BaTiO3. Under mechanical vibration, the nanomaterial exhibited a tetracycline decomposition rate of ~95 % within 7 h, which is much higher than the degradation rate of 56.7 % observed with pure BaTiO3. Many of the piezo-induced electrons escaped to the Pd-doped BaTiO3 interface because of Pd’s excellent conductivity. Single-atom Pd clusters help promote the separation of the piezo-induced electrons, thereby achieving synergistic catalysis. This work demonstrates the feasibility of combining ultrasonic technology with the piezoelectric effect and provides a promising strategy for the development of ultrasonic and piezoelectric materials.

In this paper, we investigate the existence and controllability results for a class of abstract stochastic evolution differential inclusions with nonlocal conditions where the linear part is nondensely defined and satisfies the Hille-Yosida condition. The results are obtained by using integrated semigroup theory and a fixed point theorem for condensing map due to Martelli.

Onggi is one of the vessels the people used that is deeply related with their everyday life. It is kind of pottery widely used for storage and transport containers until the modern age with ceramics for tableware but it was very far from pottery studies and there are not enough researches for its origin, types, uses and a process of spread. This study was promoted by Ulju-gun and Onggi from the Joseon Dynasty was investigated about its characteristics and time era through 12 remains in Ulju. In Ulju-gun, Onggi operation was mainly in the middle and late Joseon Dynasty including Dongcheon-ri Onggi klin in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. The work is still in operation around Oegosan village in Onyang-eup. The earliest grazed Onggi in Korea is from the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries equivalent to Sunji-ri in Cheongdo and Usan-ri in Naju. Therefore we could know the origin of Onggi is from the early days of the Joseon Dynasty and there are about 20 relics in this period all over the country. As a result of the Ulju-gun research, 1 is for the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, 1 is for the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and 10 are for the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries among the 12 sites. The findings ascertain that Onggi operation was conducted continuously during the entire Joseon Dynasty. Ulju Onggi production history after the middle of the Joseon Dynasty has been verified through results already studied about Duckhyun-ri in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, Cheonjeon-ri and Banri historical sites in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Futhermore we do know the substance from literature of 'Guyoungjeom' and 'Naegijeom' in ??Ulsaneupji?? and it is helpful for the study of Onggi production after the nineteenth century. This time the research was limited to remains' indexes confirming their status of distribution but more archaeological studies are expected to find out about production and supply of Ulju Onggi by comparions with an adjacent region, Gyeongsang-do's Onggi.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Radiolabeled nanoprobes for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging has received special attention over the past decade, allowing for sensitive, non-invasive, and quantitative detection of different diseases. The rapidly renal clearable nanomaterials normally suffer from a low accumulation in the tumor through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect due to the rapidly reduced concentration in the blood circulation after renal clearance. It is highly important to design radiolabeled nanomaterials which can meet the balance between the rapid renal clearance and strong EPR effect within a suitable timescale. Herein, renal clearable polyoxometalate (POM) clusters of ultra-small size (∼1 nm in diameter) were readily radiolabeled with the oxophilic 89Zr to obtain 89Zr-POM clusters, which may allow for efficient staging of kidney dysfunction in a murine model of unilateral ureteral obstruction (UUO). Furthermore, the as-synthesized clusters can accumulate in the tumor through EPR effect and self-assemble into larger nanostructures in the acidic tumor microenvironment for enhanced tumor accumulation, offering an excellent balance between renal clearance and EPR effect.</P> <P><B>Graphical abstract</B></P> <P>Herein, renal clearable polyoxometalate clusters (POM) were readily radiolabeled with the oxophilic 89Zr to allow for efficient staging of kidney dysfunction in a murine model. Ye, Ni,Wang, Bin,Quan, Zi-Fang,Cao, San-Jie,Wen, Xin-Tian,Huang, Yong,Huang, Xiao-Bo,Wu, Rui,Ma, Xiao-Ping,Yan, Qi-Gui Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.15
The discovery of long noncoding RNA (LncRNA) changes our view of transcriptional and posttranscriptional regulation of gene expression. With application of new research techniques such as high-throughput sequencing, the biological functions of LncRNAs are gradually becoming to be understood. Multiple studies have shown that LncRNAs serve as carcinogenic factors or tumor suppressors in breast cancer with abnormal expression, prompts the question of whether they have potential value in predicting the stages and survival rate of breast cancer patients, and also as therapeutic targets. Focusing on the latest research data, this review mainly summarizes the tumorigenic mechanisms of certain LncRNAs in breast cancer, in order to provide a theoretical basis for finding safer, more effective treatment of breast cancer at the LncRNA molecular level.

Background: According to guidelines of lymphoma, gastric diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) patients are supposed to perform CT and/or PET CT regularly for response assessment after treatment such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy. However, endoscopic examinations and biopsies are not indicated for follow up guidelines. The aim of this study was to investigate the necessity and effi cacy of endoscopic examinations when following up during and after treatment of tumor. Methods: This was a retrospective study of 44 consecutive patients who were diagnosed with gastric diffuse large B cell lymphoma, treated and underwent serial follow up endoscopies and biopsies from July 2009 to April 2014 in Seoul St. Mary`s hospital. Endoscopic examinations and biopsies were performed at the time of diagnosis and after treatment. Disappearance of mucosal lesion except atrophy, discoloration, and neovascularization was defi ned as endoscopic remission. We followed the terms of NCCN guidelines (complete remission, partial response, stable disease, progressive disease) to determine clinical response with CT and/or PET CT. Results: A total of 161 endoscopic examinations were performed (median 3.7; range 2-7). Within a median follow up period of 27 months (range 4-57), 39 (89%) patients achieved complete remission in clinical response, while endoscopic remission was found in 34 (77%) patients. Only 32 (73%) patients achieved both forms of remission. 2 of 5 patients who achieved complete remission in clinical response but had remnant lesion at endoscopic examinations have recurred after several months. Conclusions: In gastric DLBCL patients, endoscopic response not always correlates with clinical response, and it also predicts the recurrence of disease as well. Therefore, we suggest that follow up endoscopic examinations and biopsies should be performed in addition to radiologic examinations such as CT and PET CT.
