The purpose of this research is to analyze the relations between on high-school teacher's participation in leisure activities and job attitude, and its conclusion is like as follows. First, high-school teachers' job satisfaction difference based on environment variables showed statistically no significant difference on the level of 5% in terms of sex and age. And as for devotion to the organization, it showed statistically significant difference on the level of 5% in terms of age, but no significant difference in terms of sex. Secondly, with the regard to high-school teachers' types of leisure activities, it showed statistically no important difference on the level of 5% in terms of both job satisfaction and devotion to the organization. Thirdly, for high-school teachers' job satisfaction depending on their participation time for leisure activities, it saw statistically significant difference on the level of 5%, and as for devotion to the organization, it saw no significant difference. Fourthly, for high-school teachers' job satisfaction depending on the frequency of leisure activities, it showed statistically significant difference on the level of 5%, but as for devotion to the organization, it showed no significant difference. Fifthly, the correlation(γ) among the variables ranged from -.128 to .542. And with 1.7% of explainable, βof job satisfaction is like these: participation time for leisure activities(.108); types of leisure activities(.057); and frequency of leisure activities(.055). As for βof devotion to the organization, with 2.2% of explainable, is like these: participation time for leisure activities(.118); frequency of leisure activities(.091); and types of leisure activities(-.062).

Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) is an age-related disease characterized by prostatic enlargement and is the most common urologic symptoms in elderly men 60 years of age and older. Previously, we documented that 70% ethanol (EtOH) seed extract of Quisqualis indica (QI) attenuates pathological condition of testosterone propionate (TP)-induced BPH rat model via modulation of proliferation and apoptosis of prostate cells. Based on this potential of QI, we produced standardized seed extract of QI (HU-033) in order to prove further mechanisms. In this study, we aimed to suggest further mechanisms underlying the relationship between BPH and HU-033. Through not only cellular and nuclear receptor functional assays, but TP-mediated BPH rat model treated with HU-033, we demonstrated that HU-033 exerted antagonist effect on 1A- and 1D-adrenergic receptors in vitro and inhibitory effect on protein expression of androgen receptor and estrogen receptor alpha in vivo. Taken together, these results suggest that HU-033 is a novel candidate for the management of BPH.

The Samia cynthia ricini (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) is a commercial silk-producing insect belonging to an insect family Saturniidae in Bombycoidea. The species that has presumably been originated in India, is distributed in India, China, and Japan. Unlikely domestic silkworm the prime host plant for the species is a castor-oil plant (Ricinus communis in Euphorbiaceae). Recently, the eri-silkworm also is reared in Korea and is expected to be utilized for a diverse purpose. In this report, we present the complete mitochondrial genome of the species with the emphasis of a few major characteristics. The 15,384-bp long S. cynthia ricini (Lepidoptera: Saturniidae) mitochondrial genome was amplified into three long overlapping fragments (from COI ~ ND4, ND5 ~ lrRNA, and lrRNA ~ COI) and subsequent several short fragments using the long fragments as temperate. The primers for both long and short fragments were designed solely for lepidopteran genomes, without any species-specific primers. As a usual the genome is composed of 37 genes: 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), two rRNA genes, and 22 tRNA genes, and one large non-coding region termed the A+T-rich region. Arrangement of the genome is identical to those of other lepidopteran mitochondrial genome, but this differs from the common arrangement found in a diverse insect order, by the movement of tRNAMet to a position 5’- up stream of tRNAIle. Unlikely previous report on the start codon for COI gene in Lepidoptera S. cynthia ricini COI gene starts with typical ATT codon located between tRNATyr and the beginning region of COI gene. The 22 tRNAs that are interspersed throughout the mitogenome ranged in length from 62 to 71 bp. All tRNAs but tRNASer(AGN) were shown to be folded into the expected cloverleaf secondary structures. More detailed structural and phylogenetic analyses among Bombycidae and Saturniidae in connection with other families in the Bombycoidea will be performed soon
Phase Field Model for the Dynamics of Steps and Islands on Crystal Surfaces

Surface stress and lattice strain are the essential factors on the self-organization of a surface, because they affect remarkably adatom diffusion on surfaces and at step edges and induce the elastic interaction between the surface steps. In spite of the importance, their kinetic role on the growth dynamics of the step and the islands in thin film deposition is not yet fully understood. Therefore, in this work, a continuum model is presented, which considers both elastic and entropic interactions between the steps or the islands on the crystal surface and growth dynamics of the steps or the islands. The present model is based on the Ginzburg-Landau approach on phase transition and reduces to the Gibbs-Thompson equation at the step edges. In addition, the elastic field, which is generated by the surface force, is calculated using elastic surface Green function under the assumption that the atomic displacement field decays exponentially from the surface. Using the resulting atomic displacement, the elastic interaction between the surface steps is incorporated into the model. Through numerical simulations, it is shown that the elastic interaction between the steps in our model is in good agreement with previous theories and that the phase field model has the ability to solve the various phenomena of the step dynamics.
