        경영진의 공식 또는 비공식 네트워크가 기업 국제화에 미치는 영향: 기업 유형과 지리적 거리의 조절효과를 중심으로

        Purpose - This study explores the crucial role that formal and informal networks within the top management team (TMT) play in driving international firm expansion. It also examines how state ownership and geographic distance influence the effectiveness of these networks. Additionally, the research contrasts the impact of formal and informal networks on the internationalization strategies of service and manufacturing industries. Design/methodology/approach - The study analyzes data from the CSMAR database, comprising 30,362 observations from 3,043 Chinese listed companies over the period of 2010 to 2022. Findings - The results reveal that political connections and concurrent positions held by TMT members significantly enhance a firm's internationalization efforts. However, these positive effects are moderated by factors such as geographic distance and state ownership. Moreover, the study highlights that the influence of political connections varies between the service and manufacturing sectors. Research implications – This research deepens the academic understanding of how Chinese firms approach internationalization by providing a detailed analysis of the relationship between political ties and global strategies. The insights gained are also relevant to firms in other emerging markets, offering strategic guidance on how TMT networks can be leveraged to succeed globally. Furthermore, the study emphasizes the importance of considering geographic location and ownership structure when developing internationalization strategies, particularly in tailoring approaches for service versus manufacturing sectors, an aspect often overlooked in prior research.

        정약용의 중용

        공자가 ‘중용’을 언급하고 자사가 중용 을 저술한 이래로, 특히 주희가 소대예기의 한 편목이었던 중용 을 사서 중의 하나로 편집하고 재해석한 이래로 중용은 도덕의 극치로 인정되었을 뿐만 아니라 유학사상의 중요한 범주로 간주되었다. 이 논문의 목적은 ‘장악’과 ‘도덕적 행위’, 그리고 ‘습관’이라는 세 개념을 중심으로 정약용이 어떻게 주희의 중용해석을 비판했는지를 검토하고, 더 나아가 정약용의 중용해석과 그것의 특징을 밝히는 데 있다. 주희는 중용의 중을 양단의 중간과 미발의 본연지성으로 해석하고, 용을 평상지리로 해석하여 중용을 지나치거나 미치지 못함이 없는 절대적 이치로 보았다. 따라서 주희의 중용은 사람이 구체적으로 당면한 도덕적 문제 상황에 대한 장악과 노력이 들어있지 않는 절대적 중용이라고 할 수 있다. 반면 정약용은 중을 신독하는 군자가 각고의 노력을 통해 유지하는 집중의 공부 상태와 상황에 대한 장악으로 이해하고, 용을 사람의 도덕적 행위를 꾸준히 하려는 의미가 들어있는 ‘항상’ 혹은 ‘경상’으로 이해하여 중용을 장악을 통한 도덕적 행위의 습관화로 이해한다. Since Confucius presentied ‘zhong-yong’ and Zi Si wrote Zhong-Yong (The Doctring of the Mean), specially since Zhu Xi edited Zhong-Yong as one of Si-Shu (The Four Books) and interpreted it, zhong-yong was not only recognized as the extreme of morality but also as a significant category of Confucianism. The purpose of this paper is to clarify how Jeong Yak-Yong criticized Zhu Xi s interpretation of zhong-yong, and furthermore, to search how Jung Yak-yong explain the zhong-yong by tree concepts of ‘grasp’, ‘moral behavior’, and ‘habit’. Zhu Xi interpreted zong as a measured absolute middle of two-side and a non-launched original nature. Interpreted yong as a common truth. Therefore he interpreted zhong-yong as a common truth of neither excessive nor enough. Accordingly, Zhu Xi s zhong-yong can be understood as absolute zhong-yong without human’s reflection and moral behavior. But Jeong Yak-Yong interpreted zhong as the state of a man’s very hard-concentrate and grasp of situation, and interpreted yong as the state of a man’s very hard-effort moral behavior and it’s habit. Therefore he explained zhong-yong as a habit of moral behavior through grasp.

      • Decitabine in the Treatment of Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Myelodysplastic Syndromes, Which Combined with Complex Karyotype Respectively

        Background: We conducted a study exploring the clinical safety and efficacy of decitabine in patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), combined with a complex karyotype. Materials and Methods: From April 2009 to September 2013, a total of 35 patients with AML/MDS combined with a complex karyotype diagnosed in the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University were included for retrospective analysis. All patients were treated with decitabine alone ($20mg/m^2$ daily for 5 days) or combination AAG chemotherapy (Acla 20mg qod*4d, Ara-C $10mg/m^2$ q12h*7d, G-CSF $300{\mu}g$ qd, the dose of G-CSF adjusted to the amount in blood routinely). Results: In 35 patients, 15 exhibited a complete response (CR), and 6 a partial response (PR), the overall response rate (CR+PR) being 60% (21 of 35). Median disease-free survival was 18 months and overall survival was 14 months. In the 15 MDS patients with a complex karyotype, the CR rate was 53.3% (8 of 15); in 20 AML patients with complex karyotype, the overall response rate was 65% (13 of 20). The response rate of decitabine alone (22 cases) was 56.5% (13 of 22), while in the combination chemotherapy group (13 cases), the effective rate was 61.5% (8 of 13)(P>0.05). There are 15 patients with chromosome 7 aberration, after treatment with decitabine, 7 CR, 3 PR, overall response rate was 66.7% (10 of 15). Of 18 patients with 3 to 5 kinds of chromosomal abnormalities, 66.7% demonstrated a response; of 17 with more than 5 chromosomal abnormalities, 52.9% had a response. In the total of 35 patients, with one course (23 patients) and ${\geq}$two courses (12 patients), the overall response rate was 40.9% and 92.3% (P<0.05). Grade III to IV hematological toxicity was observed in 27 cases (75%). Grade III to IV infections were clinically documented in 7 (20%). Grades I to II non-hematological toxicity were infections (18 patients), haematuria (2 patients), and bleeding (3 patients). With follow-up until September 2013, 7 patients were surviving, 18 had died and 10 were lost to follow-up. In the 6 cases who underwent allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) all were still relapse-free survivors. Conclusions: Decitabine alone or combination with AAG can improve outcome of AML/MDS with a complex karyotype, there being no significant difference decitabine in inducing remission rates in patients with different karyotype. Increasing the number of courses can improve efficiency. This approach with fewer treatment side effects in patients with a better tolerance should be employed in order to create an improved subsequent chance for HSCT.

      • Towards Unified Business Process Modeling and Verification for Role-based Resource-oriented Service Composition

        With the prevalence of ubiquitous computing, big data, and Internet of things in cloud computing environment, it’s important to consider both of collaboration, heterogeneity, isolation of multi-tenant applications and information security and privacy in service composition. Current methods need to be readdressed to cope with cross-organizational, multi-roles participated and knowledge-intensive service composition in an integrated way. Based on the modeling and verification theories of hierarchical colored petri-net, a resource-oriented collaborative workflow model, its resource control model and the joint modeling and verification method are proposed which present a unified solution bridging the gap between traditional structure-oriented workflow execution model and resource-oriented workflow domain model taking into account the underlying roles, tasks, resources and their association and coordination in design-time and runtime as well. In our approach, a business process is divided into three layers: the backbone top-level process, the task fulfillment sub-process and the task execution sub-process in order to reduce the complexity of model verification. In addition this paper gives in-depth discussions on the fine control of implicit parallel and multi-threaded process executions. Finally, the case studies show that the proposed methods are not only applicable to modeling and verification of traditional task-oriented workflows, but also suited for knowledge or data-intensive workflows which involve

        Transarterial Embolization with Berenstein Liquid Coils and N-butyl Cyanoacrylate in a Vein of Galen Aneurysmal Malformation: a Case Report

        A 12-week-old baby with a vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation (VGAM) was successfully treated with performing transarterial microcatheter-directed embolization with Berenstein Liquid Coils and n-butyl cyanoacrylate in the feeding arteries. Post-procedure angiography showed a marked decrease of the blood flow into the dilated vein of Galen. Three months later, follow-up angiography showed that the vein of Galen aneurysmal malformation had totally disappeared, and the baby recovered very well without any sequelae. We report here on this interesting case along with a review of the relevant literature, and we aim to enhance physicians' awareness of the treatment for VGAMs.

      • Protective Effect of Astragalus polysaccharides on Liver Injury Induced by Several Different Chemotherapeutics in Mice

        Side effects are an unavoidable consequence of chemotherapy drugs, during which liver injury often takes place. The current study was designed to investigate the protective effect of Astragalus polysaccharides (APS) against the hepatotoxicity induced by frequently-used chemical therapy agents, cyclophosphamide (CTX), docetaxel (DTX) and epirubicin (EPI)) in mice. Mice were divided into five groups, controls, low or high dose groups ($DTX_L$, $CTX_L$, $EPI_L$ or $DTX_H$, $CTX_H$, $EPI_H$), and low or high dose chemotherapeutics+APS groups ($DTX_L$+APS, $CTX_L$+APS, $EPI_L$+APS or $DTX_H$+APS, $CTX_H$+APS, $EPI_H$+APS). Controls were treated with equivalent normal saline for 28 days every other day; low or high dose group were intraperitoneal (i.p) injected with low or high doses of CTX, DTX and EPI for 28 days every other day; low or high dose chemotherapeutics+APS group were separately intraperitoneal (i.p) injected with chemotherapeutics for 28 days every other day and i.p with APS (100 mg/kg) for 7 days continually from the 22th to the 28th days. The body weight, serum levels of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST), histopathological features, and ultrastructure morphological change of liver tissues, protein expression level of caspase-3 were estimated at different time points. With high dose treatment of DTX, CTX and EPI, weight gain was inhibited and serum levels of ALT and AST were significantly increased. Sections of liver tissue showed massive hepatotoxicity in $CTX_H$ group compared to the control group, including hepatic lobule disorder, granular and vacuolar degeneration and necrosis in hepatic cells. These changes were confirmed at ultrastructural level, including obvious pyknosis, heterochromatin aggregation, nuclear membrane resolution, and chondrosome crystal decrease. Western blotting revealed that the protein levels of caspase-3 increased in $CTX_H$ group. The low dose groups exhibited trivial hepatotoxicity. More interestingly, after 100 mg/kg APS, liver injury was redecued not only regarding serum transaminase activities (low or high dose chemotherapeutics+APS group), but also from pathological and ultrastructural changes and the protein levels of caspase-3 ($CTX_H$+APS group). In conclusion, DTX, CTX and EPI induce liver damage in a dose dependent manner, whereas APS exerted protective effects.

      • GOLPH3, a Good Prognostic Indicator in Early-stage NSCLC Related to Tumor Angiogenesis

        Background: Golgi phosphoprotein-3 (GOLPH3) is implicated in cancer development and progression. The aim of this study was to evaluate the prognostic significance of GOLPH3 protein and its association with tumor angiogenesis in patients with early-stage NSCLC. Materials and Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed to determine GOLPH3 protein expression and allow assessment of intratumoral microvessel density (MVD) by counting CD-34 positive immunostained endothelial cells. Correlations of expression with MVD, clinicopathologic features and clinical prognosis were analyzed. Results: A notably higher level of GOLPH3 expression was found in early-stage NSCC tissues at the protein level. However, we do not find any correlation between GOLPH3 expression and clinicopathologic features (p>0.05), although higher MVD was positively associated with GOLPH3 overexpression (p<0.001). Expression of GOLPH3 was found to be an independent prognostic factor in early-stage NSCLC patients, those expressing high levels of GOLPH3 exhibiting a substantially lower 5-year overall survival than GOLPH3-negative patients (adjusted HR =1.899, 95% CI: 1.021-3.532, p=0.043). Conclusions: High expression of the GOLPH3 protein is common in early-stage NSCC, and is closely associated with tumor progression, increased tumor angiogenesis, and poor survival. We conclude a possibility of its use as a diagnostic and prognostic marker in early-stage NSCC patients.

        Triterpenoids from Schisandra henryi with Cytotoxic Effect on Leukemia and Hela Cells In Vitro

        Four known lanostane triterpenoids, schiprolactone A (1), schisanlactone B (2), nigranoic acid (3) and schisandronic acid (4) Were isolated from the stems of Schisandra henryi for the first time. Their structures were characterized by IR, MS and NMR techniques. Compounds 1, 2 and 4 showed moderate cytotoxic activity against Leukemia cells in vitro. Cytotoxic activity of compounds 1-4 showed $IC_{50}$ of 0.0097, 0.01, 0.097 and 0.0099 $\mu$ mol/mL respectively toward Leukemia cells and $IC_{50}$ of 0.097, 0.1, 0.097 and 0.099 $\mu$mol/mL toward Hela cells respectively. It is the first report that these compounds possess cytotoxic activity on Leukemia and Hela cells.

      • Induction of Apoptosis in Glioma Cells and Upregulation of Fas Expression Using the Human Interferon-β Gene

        We investigated whether IFN-${\beta}$ inhibits the growth of human malignant glioma and induces glioma cell apoptosis using the human IFN-${\beta}$ gene transfected into glioma cells. A eukaryonic expression vector ($pSV2IFN{\beta}$) for IFN-${\beta}$ was transfected into the glioma cell line SHG44 using liposome transfection. Stable transfection and IFN-${\beta}$ expression were confirmed using an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cell apoptosis was also assessed by Hoechst staining and electron microscopy. In vivo experiments were used to establish a SHG44 glioma model in nude mice. Liposomes containing the human IFN-${\beta}$ gene were injected into the SHG44 glioma of nude mice to observe glioma growth and calculate tumor size. Fas expression was evaluated using immunohistochemistry. The IFN-${\beta}$ gene was successfully transfected and expressed in the SHG44 glioma cells in vitro. A significant difference in the number of apoptotic cells was observed between transfected and non-transfected cells. Glioma growth in nude mice was inhibited in vivo, with significant induction of apoptosis. Fas expression was also elevated. The IFN-${\beta}$ gene induces apoptosis in glioma cells, possibly through upregulation of Fas. The IFN-${\beta}$ gene modulation in the Fas pathway and apoptosis in glioma cells may be important for the treatment of gliomas.

        Contributed Mini Review : New paradigms on siRNA local application

        Small interfering RNA (siRNA) functions through pairing with specific mRNA sequences and results in the mRNA`s degradation. It is a potential therapeutic approach for many diseases caused by altered gene expression. The delivery of siRNA is still a major problem due to its rapid degradation in the circulation. Various strategies have been proposed to help with the cellular uptake of siRNA and short or small hairpin RNA (shRNA). Here, we reviewed recently published data regarding local applications of siRNA. Compared with systemic delivery methods, local delivery of siRNA/shRNA has many advantages, such as targeting the specific tissues or organs, mimicking a gene knockout effect, or developing certain diseases models. The eye, brain, and tumor tissues are ‘hot’ target tissues/ organs for local siRNA delivery. The siRNA can be delivered locally, in naked form, with chemical modifications, or in formulations with viral or non-viral vectors, such as liposomes and nanoparticles.
