This paper investigates the electromagnetic interference (EMI) emission in three-level active neutralpoint-clamped (3L-ANPC) silicon carbide (SiC) inverter. Four typical modulation schemes of 3L-ANPC inverter are considered. An EMI model is established by including all the system parasitics and noise sources. Based on this model, a comparison of different modulation schemes on EMI emission is carried out. Simulations are performed in a case study to confirm the theoretical expectations.
Precise Inductor Current Ripple Distribution of Three-Level Active Neutral-Point-Clamped Inverter
Donghua Pan,Mengxing Chen,Xiongfei Wang,Huai Wang,Frede Blaabjerg,Wei Wang 전력전자학회 2019 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2019 No.5
In power electronic converters, the inductor current ripple affects the system power loss and should be minimized. This paper studies in detail the output filter inductor current ripple distribution of a three-level active neutral-point-clamped (3L-ANPC) inverter. The peak-topeak current ripple per line cycle is precisely derived according to the modulation index. Then, the maximum current ripple is identified, and the concept of average current ripple is proposed to quantify the overall ripple level. An optimal operating point with minimum ripple level is found, and it is chosen as the nominal operation condition of the 3L-ANPC inverter. Simulations are performed in a case study to confirm the theoretical expectations.
Active Fault-Tolerant Control for a Class of Nonlinear Systems with Sensor Faults
Youqing Wang,Donghua Zhou,S. Joe Qin,Hong Wang 대한전기학회 2008 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.6 No.3
A general active fault-tolerant control framework is proposed for nonlinear systems with sensor faults. According to their identifiability, all sensor faults are divided into two classes: identifiable faults and non-identifiable faults. In the healthy case, the control objective is such that all outputs converge to their given set-points. A fault detection and isolation module is firstly built, which can produce an alarm when there is a fault in the system and also tell us which sensor has a fault. If the fault is identifiable, the control objective remains the same as in the healthy case; while if the fault is non-identifiable, the control objective degenerates to be such that only the healthy outputs converge to the set-points. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed method and encouraging results have been obtained.

The switching characterization of power devices is critical for improving the efficiency and reliability of power electronic converters. In this paper, the switching characteristics of silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFETs in a three-level active neutral-point-clamped (3L-ANPC) inverter are investigated. A parasitic model of the 3L-ANPC phase-leg is proposed first based on a design case and its ANSYS/Q3D simulation. Then, two typical commutation modes for ANPC inverters, namely the outer mode and the inner mode, are studied, and the separate switching loops and parasitic inductances are identified according to the parasitic model. Knowing this, double-pulse tests (DPTs) for each type of commutation are conducted. The differences in terms of switching characteristics and switching dissipations are fully revealed. The conclusion drawn can be utilized for developing the next-generation highly efficient and reliable SiC MOSFET based 3L-ANPC inverters.

The bread wheat gene TaCRK41 encodes acysteine-rich receptor kinase. It is down-regulated by variousabiotic stresses and by exposure to abscisic acid. A transientexpression experiment in Arabidopsis thaliana protoplastsinvolving a fusion between the sequence encoding greenfluorescence protein and the TaCRK41 allele from either thesalinity tolerant bread wheat cultivar Shanrong No. 3 (SR3)or its salinity sensitive progenitor cultivar Jinan 177 (JN177)showed that the TaCRK41 product is deposited in thecytoplasm. Recombinant TaCRK41 originating from bothSR3 and JN177 displayed no kinase activity in vitro. Theconstitutive expression of TaCRK41 in A. thaliana resultedin a marked reduction in the plants' sensitivity to bothexogenous abscisic acid and to salinity during germination. The level of ABA-induced transcription of ABI3, ABI5 andthe ABI5-controlled genes EM1 and EM6 was significantlyreduced in plants subjected to stress. The data support theidea that TaCRK41 is involved in the regulation of ABAdependentgermination under conditions of osmotic stress.
Highly Selective Amination of o- and p-Alkyl Phenols over Pd/Al2O3-BaO
Ma, Jianchao,Wang, Huabang,Sun, Meng,Yang, Fan,Wu, Zhiwei,Wang, Donghua,Chen, Ligong Korean Chemical Society 2012 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.33 No.2
A series of Pd-based catalysts were prepared and examined for the amination of 2,6-dimethylphenol in a fixedbed reactor. The best results were obtained for Pd/$Al_2O_3$-BaO with a conversion of 99.89% and a selectivity of 91.16%. These catalysts were characterized using BET, XRD, XPS, TEM and $NH_3$-TPD. Doped BaO not only improved the dispersion of the Pd particles but also decreased the acidity of the catalyst, which remarkably enhanced the selectivity and stability of the catalyst. The generality of Pd/$Al_2O_3$-BaO for this kind of reaction was demonstrated by catalytic aminations of o- and p-alkyl phenols.
The Phylotype of Thermus from the Rehai Geothermal Area, Tengchong, China
Guo, Chunlei,Wang, Tao,Zhu, Wei,Zhang, Donghua,Cui, Xiaolong,Xu, Lihua,Peng, Qian The Microbiological Society of Korea 2003 The journal of microbiology Vol.41 No.2
Through enrichment on two nutrient agars, 57 Thermus isolates were recovered from 15 hot spring samples taken from the Rehai geothermal area, Tengchong, China. Unique growth characteristics were observed when the strains were transferred from YIM14 medium to Thermus medium. Phylogenetic analysis showed that the 16S rDNA sequences of the isolates and clones from the Rehai geothermal area farmed a monophyletic group on the phylogenetic tree. A secondary structure comparison showed that their 16S rRNAs have unique secondary structure characteristics.
Exterior egg quality as affected by enrichment resources layout in furnished laying-hen cages
Li, Xiang,Chen, Donghua,Meng, Fanyu,Su, Yingying,Wang, Lisha,Zhang, Runxiang,Li, Jianhong,Bao, Jun Asian Australasian Association of Animal Productio 2017 Animal Bioscience Vol.30 No.10
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the effects of enrichment resources (a perch, dustbath, and nest) layout in furnished laying-hen cages (FC) on exterior quality of eggs. Methods: One hundred and sixty-eight (168) Hy-Line Brown laying hens at 16 weeks of age were randomly distributed to four treatments: small furnished cages (SFC), medium furnished cages type I (MFC-I), medium furnished cages type II (MFC-II), and medium furnished cages type III (MFC-III). Each treatment had 4 replicates or cages with 6 hens for SFC (24 birds for each SFC) and 12 hen/cage for MFC-I, -II, and -III (48 birds for each MFC-I, -II and -III). Following a 2-week acclimation, data collection started at 18 weeks of age and continued till 52 weeks of age. Dirtiness of egg surface or cracked shell as indicators of the exterior egg quality were recorded each week. Results: The results showed that the proportion of cracked or dirty eggs was significantly affected by the FC type (p<0.01) in that the highest proportion of cracked or dirty eggs was found in MFC-I and the lowest proportion of dirty eggs in SFC. The results of this showed that furnished cage types affected both dirty eggs and cracked eggs (p<0.01). The results also indicated that not nest but dustbath lead to more dirty eggs. Only MFC-I had higher dirty eggs at nest than other FC (p<0.01). The results of dirty eggs in MFC-I and MFC-II compared with SFC and MFC-III seemed suggest that a low position of dustbath led to more dirty eggs. Conclusion: SFC design affected exterior egg quality and the low position of dustbath in FC resulted in higher proportion of dirty eggs.
