유아를 위한 비폭력 의사소통 프로그램이또래유능성과 공감능력에 미치는 효과 = The effects of nonviolent communication program for young children on children`s peer competence and empathy

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purposes of this study were to develop nonviolent communication program and to examine its effects on children`s peer competence and empathy. The nonviolent communication program for young children was developed according to the literature review of national and international nonviolent communication program and children`s social skill training programs. The nonviolent communication program for young children was applied to thirty five 5-year-olds for 9 weeks at a private kindergarten in Gyeonggi-do. Teacher and peer rated peer interaction scale and HIFTO scale, and children`s empathy test were conducted to examine the program effects on children`s peer competence and empathy. The results of this study were as follows. First, the nonviolent communication program for young children showed significant effects on children`s peer interaction. Second, this program showed significant effects on children`s empathy. With these results, it is expected that teaching children nonviolent communication skills can help children`s peer competence and empathy.
