아동기 외상경험이 초기 성인기 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향에서 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effect of Internalized Shame in The Relationship between Childhood Trauma and Early Adulthood Interpersonal Problem

The study examined the relations among childhood trauma, internalized shame and interpersonal problem. We also explored the mediating effect of internalized shame on the relation between childhood trauma and interpersonal problem. The participants included 379 college students. The results showed that childhood trauma accounted for significant variance in internalized shame and interpersonal problem. The results also suggested that relation between childhood trauma and interpersonal problem were partially mediated by internalized shame. These results showed that internalized shame should be deal with solving the interpersonal problem. The implications and limitations are discussed along with some suggestions for the future studies and counseling practice.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 아동기 외상경험이 초기 성인기 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향에서 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과를 검증해 봄으로써, 대인관계문제를 겪고 있는 대학생들에게 도움을 줄 수 있는 방법을 모색하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 먼저 아동기 외상경험척도와 내면화된 수치심 척도, 대인관계 문제척도가 적합한지 알아보기 위한 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였다. 연구대상은 대학생 379명으로 아동기 외상경험이 대인관계 문제에 미치는 영향에서 내면화된 수치심의 매개효과를 구조방적식 모형을 통해 검증하였다. 그 결과, 아동기 외상경험이 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향에서 내면화된 수치심이 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 매개효과에 있어 내면화된 수치심이 완전 매개하는 경쟁모형과 비교했을 때 부분매개 모형이 더 적합한 모형으로 나타났다. 또한 아동기 외상경험이 내면화된 수치심과 대인관계문제에 미치는 영향을 구체적으로 살펴보기 위해 단계선택 중다회귀분석을 실시한 결과 내면화된 수치심에 있어서 신체학대, 정서학대, 신체방임, 정서방임이 동시에 투입이 되었을 경우에 설명력이 컸으며, 대인관계문제에 있어서 정서학대와 신체방임이 가장 큰 설명력을 가졌음을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 시사점은 아동기 외상을 경험한 대학생들의 외상경험과 내면화된 수치심을 다뤄줌으로써 대인관계문제 상담 개입의 기초자료를 제공할 수 있다는데 의의가 있다.
