Piezoelectric flexible sensors have been used to detect biomolecules such as sweat and glucose because oftheir passive, simple structure and high sensitivity. This paper proposes a novel flexible piezoelectric Au-BaTiO3-FeGa & PDMS biosensor in which magnetostrictive deformation amplifies the surface stress generatedby biomolecules combining on the thin film. The modification process of bovine serum albumin(BSA) binding with the sensor was initially determined by the first principles approach. Then, the sensingmechanism was verified by finite-element simulation. Based on the simulation results, flexible Au-BaTiO3-FeGa & PDMS biosensors were prepared, modified, and measured. The structure, modification, and detection of the sensors were analyzed by digital microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry(FTIR), atomic force microscopy (AFM), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The responses ofthe biosensors detecting different BSA solution concentrations under magnetic fields were then investigated. Experimental results indicate that the biosensor has the highest sensitivity under a magnetic fieldof 30 mT.

Sequence data plays an important role in the field of intelligence, especially for industrial control, traffic control and other aspects. Finding abnormal parts in sequence data has long been an application field of AI technology. In this paper, we propose an anomaly detection method for sequence data using a diffusion model. The diffusion model has two major advantages: interpretability derived from rigorous mathematical derivation and unrestricted selection of backbone models. This method uses the diffusion model to predict and reconstruct the sequence data, and then detects the abnormal part by comparing with the real data. This paper successfully verifies the feasibility of the diffusion model in the field of anomaly detection. We use the combination of MLP and diffusion model to generate data and compare the generated data with real data to detect anomalous points.

Cystatin, a cysteine protease inhibitor found in many parasites, plays important roles in immune evasion. This study analyzed the molecular characteristics of a cystatin from Fasciola hepatica (FhCystatin) and expressed recombinant FhCystatin (rFhcystatin) to investigate the immune modulatory effects on lipopolysaccharide-induced proliferation, migration, cytokine secretion, nitric oxide (NO) production, and apoptosis in mouse macrophages. The FhCystatin gene encoded 116 amino acids and contained a conserved cystatin-like domain. rFhCystatin significantly inhibited the activity of cathepsin B. rFhCystatin bound to the surface of mouse RAW264.7 cells, significantly inhibited cell proliferation and promoted apoptosis. Moreover, rFhCystatin inhibited the expression of cellular nitric oxide, interleukin-6, and tumor necrosis factor-α, and promoted the expression of transforming growth factor-β and interleukin-10. These results showed that FhCystatin played an important role in regulating the activity of mouse macrophages. Our findings provide new insights into mechanisms underlying the immune evasion and contribute to the exploration of potential targets for the development of new drug to control F. hepatica infection.

Concrete cracking due to brittle tension strength significantly prevents fully utilization of the materials for "flexural-shear failure" type shear walls. Theoretical and experimental studies applying fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) have achieved fruitful results in improving the seismic performance of "flexural-shear failure" reinforced concrete shear walls. To come to an understanding of an optimal design strategy and find common performance prediction method for design methodology in terms to FRC shear walls, seismic performance on shear walls with PVA and steel FRC at edge columns and plastic region are compared in this study. The seismic behavior including damage mode, lateral bearing capacity, deformation capacity, and energy dissipation capacity are analyzed on different fiber reinforcing strategies. The experimental comparison realized that the lateral strength and deformation capacity are significantly improved for the shear walls with PVA and steel FRC in the plastic region and PVA FRC in the edge columns; PVA FRC improves both in tensile crack prevention and shear tolerance while steel FRC shows enhancement mainly in shear resistance. Moreover, the tensile strength of the FRC are suggested to be considered, and the steel bars in the tension edge reaches the ultimate strength for the confinement of the FRC in the yield and maximum lateral bearing capacity prediction comparing with the model specified in provisions.

This paper takes into account the influence of the different impedances of distribution lines on power distribution among inverters when the inverters are paralleled with the droop control method. The impact of distribution lines on the power distribution of inverters can be divided into two aspects. Firstly, since the distributed generators are in low voltage grids, there is resistive impedance in the distribution lines, which will cause control coupling and reduce system stability. The virtual negative resistive impedance of inverters is adopted in this paper to neutralize the resistive element of distribution lines and thus make the distribution line impedance purely inductive. Secondly, after solving the resistive impedance problem, the difference in the inductive impedance value of distribution lines due to the low density of distributed generators will cause an unequal share of reactive power. With regards to this problem, modification is put forward for the droop control strategy to share the reactive power equally. The feasibility of the design is validated by simulation and experimental results.

This study provides empirical evidences on the differentiation of the academic community amid the latest classified reform of faculty evaluation, highlighted by up-or-out policy in the non-research university context in China. The systematic data analysis sketches out faculty’s segmentation and four characterizations including academic bureaucrats, academic elites, academic weight-bearers, and academic realists were taxonomized accordingly. By distinguishing the “powerful minority” and the “powerless majority” in the academic community, the paper indicated that there exist heterogeneous interpretations of faculty evaluation policies departure from faculty’s perception toward their academic identity and trajectory. The findings of this research contribute to extant studies and provide insights that social interactions take place not only between faculty policies and the academic community but also among heterogeneous academic professional groups, which can be profoundly utilized to enhance faculty’s sense making of evaluation policies and adopt more rational strategies. It also suggests that under the dual managerial structure of Chinese universities, the segmentation of the academic community may continue to be intensified along with the changing faculty evaluation policies.

Numerous researches have already revealed the existence of sheepskin effects and proved the signaling value of education based on empirical materials from developing or developed countries; however, only a few empirical studies have explored the mechanism lying behind the proved educational signaling value. With this regard, based on recent 6-year cross-section data from China General Social Survey, the authors discussed the interactive effects between the educational signaling value and parents’ educational level. After correcting the selective bias and endogenous issues by multiple methods—Heckman two-stage, IV, and comprehensive models combined HTS and IV—it finds that there exist obvious sheepskin effects in the returns to education in China and robust complementary effects between parents’ educational level and the signaling function of individual’s education on their personal income.
