        Dendrite-like carbon nanotube-confined polymeric sulfur as cathode materials for lithium–sulfur battery

        We reported the synthesis of dendrite-like carbon nanotube-confned polymeric sulfur composite by modifying the surface of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) with trithiocyanuric acid (TTCA) and then copolymerizing with sulfur. DSC results show the successfully formation of robust chemical bonds between sulfur and TTCA modifed CNTs, which efectively avoid the dis-solution of polysulfde when used as cathodes for lithium–sulfur batteries. The composite with a high sulfur content of 78 wt% exhibits an initial charge capacity of 698 mAh g−1 and the residual capacity of 553 mAh g−1 after 1000 cycles at a rate of 1 C.

        Preparation of catalytic particle electrodes from steel slag and its performance in a three-dimensional electrochemical oxidation system

        Catalytic particle electrodes (CPEs) were developed from steel slag waste, and were used to degrade Rhodamine B (RhB). To improve degradation efficiency, Mn-loaded CPEs with good reproductive performance were constructed through ultrasound impregnation–calcination strategy. The resulting samples were characterized by XRF, SEM, EDS, XPS and XRD. Degradation efficiency of the systems with Mn-loaded CPEs were 93.22% without air supply in 80 min. And degradation efficiency for Mn-loaded CPEs reached 100% with air supply in 50 min. Furthermore, the enhanced mechanism was proposed. The high degradation efficiency could be ascribed to the increase of hydroxyl radicals originated from electro-Fenton.

        Optimization Model of EV Charging and Discharging Price Considering Vehicle Owner Response and Power Grid Cost

        The problem of load fuctuation in the distribution network and increasing power grid cost input caused by the unpredictable behavior of electric vehicle (EV) users in response to electricity price is investigated in this paper. An optimization model method for the charging and discharging price of electric vehicles is proposed, considering the vehicle owner response and power grid cost. The rule of EV user travel is frst analyzed, and the travel and battery state constraints are defned. Under the constraints of user charging and discharging behavior and battery characteristics, a user transfer rate and unit energy cost function is designed to construct a multi-objective model of charging and discharging price that minimizes electricity expenditure and avoids an increase in power grid investment. Finally, an improved multi-target fsh swarm algorithm is presented to solve the model optimization problem. The example analysis shows that the proposed method can reduce the peak-valley load diference of the system and cost input of the power grid, as well as provide users with regulation ability to access the power grid at diferent time periods

        Probability Prediction Method of Short‑Term Electricity Price Based on Quantile Neural Network Model

        Aiming at the inaccuracy of short-term electricity price forecasting in competitive power markets, a probabilistic short-term electricity price forecasting method based on the quantile neural network model is proposed. First, a method for selecting electricity price similarity based on comprehensive infuencing factors is designed to select the forecast data set with similar characteristics to the forecast date. The similar daily quantile regression algorithm is then combined with the generalized dynamic fuzzy neural network to construct a quantile neural network electricity price model for obtaining the predicted daily electricity price condition quantile. Finally, the kernel density function is used to convert the predicted daily electricity price condition quantile into the predicted probability density curve to realize short-term electricity price probability prediction. The data of the electricity market of the city of Dayton, Ohio in the United States is used as an example. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method can efectively improve the accuracy of short-term electricity price forecasting

        Preparation of magnetic steel-slag particle electrode and its performance in a novel electrochemical reactor for oilfield wastewater advanced treatment

        A novel continuous-flow electrochemical reactor was designed for oilfield wastewater advancedtreatment. Magnetic steel slag particles were prepared as particle electrodes in the reactor. The bestpreparation condition of steel slag particle electrodes is obtained via orthogonal and single factorexperiments. The resulting samples were characterized by scanning electron microscope and vibratingsample magnetometer. It was demonstrated that saturation magnetic intensity of the particle was1.6389 emu/g. The process parameters and the total organic carbon (TOC) removal kinetics wereinvestigated. Result showed that the reactor could remove over 85% TOC in 2 h, which was considered tobe effective.

        71% Common‑mode voltage suppression modulation strategy for indirect matrix converters

        Common-mode voltage (CMV) with a high amplitude and frequency is generated when an indirect matrix converter (IMC) is operating, which damages the motor winding insulation and accelerates motor aging. Existing IMC modulation methods can only suppress the CMV by 42.3%. However, this paper proposes a modulation strategy with a 71% reduction in the peak CMV. The proposed method selects active vectors based on the characteristics of the CMV amplitude under each of the active vectors. The rectifier stage selects two active vectors within each modulation sector. According to the sector where the input reference current vector is located, the inverter stage chooses active-voltage vectors whose corresponding peak CMV is 1/3 the minimum peak line voltage for modulation. Moreover, the CMV spikes caused by the dead zone effect are eliminated by reasonably arranging the switching sequence of the voltage vectors in the inverter stage. The proposed approach considerably lowers the peak CMV and has a good suppression effect on the amplitude of high-frequency CMV. Finally, experimental results illustrate the CMV reduction efficiency of the modulation strategy.

        Preparation and Characterization of a pH-responsive Polymer that Interacts with Microbial Transglutaminase during Affinity Precipitation

        Microbial transglutaminase (MTG) has been widely used in the food and pharmaceuticals industries. In this study, MTG was purified using affinity precipitation with an affinity polymer (PMMDN-T), which was synthesized using a pH-responsive polymer (PMMDN) coupled with L-thyroxin as an affinity ligand. Interactions between MTG and PMMDN-T were investigated using turbidimetric titration, zeta potential measurements, and low-field nuclear magnetic resonance (LF-NMR). We found different behaviors, architectures, and phase states of pH-dependent interactions between MTG and PMMDN-T interactions. Binding energetics between MTG and PMMDN-T were determined by isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC). The isoelectric point (pI) of the affinity polymer was 4.65 and was recovered with 96.7% efficiency after recycling the polymer three times. The optimal adsorption condition was 0.02 mol/L phosphate buffer (pH 6.0) with 1.0 mol/L NaCl at 30.0°C and a ligand density of 50.0 μmol/g. The maximum elution recoveries of total MTG were 98.44% (protein) with 92.19% (activity) using 0.02 mol/L pH 10.0 Gly-NaOH as the eluent.

        DPW-RRM: Random Routing Mutation Defense Method Based on Dynamic Path Weight

        Eavesdropping attacks have seriously threatened network security. Attackers could eavesdrop on target nodes and link to steal confidential data. In the traditional network architecture, the static routing path and the important nodes determined by the nature of network topology provide a great convenience for eavesdropping attacks. To resist monitoring attacks, this paper proposes a random routing mutation defense method based on dynamic path weight (DPW-RRM). It utilizes network centrality indicators to determine important nodes in the network topology and reduces the probability of important nodes in path selection, thereby distributing traffic to multiple communication paths, achieving the purpose of increasing the difficulty and cost of eavesdropping attacks. In addition, it dynamically adjusts the weight of the routing path through network state constraints to avoid link congestion and improve the availability of routing mutation. Experimental data shows that DPW-RRM could not only guarantee the normal algorithmic overhead, communication delay, and CPU load of the network, but also effectively resist eavesdropping attacks.

        The Combined Effect of Sodium Butyrate and Low Culture Temperature on the Production, Sialylation, and Biological Activity of an Antibody Produced in CHO Cells

        Cell cultures containing 0 ~ 5 mM sodium butyrate (NaBu) and grown at 30 and 37°C were conducted to investigate the combined effect of NaBu and low temperature on the quantity and quality of an antibody production in CHO cells. Although NaBu addition decreased cell viability by apoptosis in a dose-dependent manner at both 30 and 37°C, the onset of significant apoptosis induced by NaBu was delayed by lowering culture temperature. The highest specific antibody productivity (q_p) of 23.26 pg/cell/day was obtained in the culture containing 2 mM NaBu at 30°C; however, the highest antibody concentration of 167.84 mg/L was achieved in the culture containing 1 mM NaBu at 30°C, as the detrimental effect of further NaBu addition on cell growth compromised its beneficial effect on q_p. Moreover, protein quality with respect to the total sialic acid content and Nglycolylneuraminic acid (Neu5Gc) level was evaluated. There were no apparent changes regarding the total sialic acid content of the antibody, but manipulation of cultures with NaBu treatment or (and) low culture temperature did decrease Neu5Gc levels by 5 ~ 10%. Biological activity of the antibody was also assessed, and no obvious changes were observed. Collectively, the simultaneous application of NaBu and low culture temperature was an effective way to extend culture period and enhance final antibody concentration,without compromising the sialic acid content or biological activity.

        중국 문화산업정책 분석을 위한 시론적 조망

        본 논문은 1978년 이후 급속하게 발전하는 중국 문화시장에 대한 중국 공산당의 대응 담론과 정책을 시론적으로 분석한 것이다. 확대되는 문화시장에서 나타날 수 있는 대항담론에 대처하기 위해 중국 공산당은 “금지”와 “발전”이라는 상반된 전략을 통하여 문화산업화를 추진하였다. 문화산업을 경제발전의 일부분으로 보는 관점을 통하여 중국 공산당은 문화시장의 발전전략을 적극적으로 수립하게 되나 문화산업이 공산당의 지배이데올로기에 상반되는 담론형성에 기여할 것에 대비하여 핵심분야에 대한 공산당의 직접적 통제를 유지하게 된다. 이 연구는 이러한 상반된 전략을 개괄적으로 소개하는 동시에 이에 내재된 중국공산당의 딜레마에 대한 시론적인 논의이다. This study is a preliminary analysis of the Chinese Communist Party(CCP)’s discursive and policy reactions to the fast emerging Chinese cultural market since 1978. CCP has developed cultural industries while deploying seemingly contradictory strategies, “prohibition” and “development,” to circumvent any possibility of counter-hegemonic discourses from vibrant cultural market in China. While CCP adopted a developmental strategy for cultural market, it also maintained direct control of core areas of the cultural industry. This study is to introduce these contradictory policies while highlighting the dilemma of CCP in its cultural policies.
