Effects of different hydrolytic conditions on functional ingredient contents and antioxidant activities of aqueous enzymatic extracts from rice bran (AEERB) were evaluated and correlations were determined. After trypsin hydrolysis under weak alkalescent conditions, the soluble protein, total phenolic, α-tocopherol, and γ-oryzanol contents of AEERB were increased. Excessively high temperatures (>60℃) and long hydrolysis times (>2.0 h) were not suitable for enzymatic hydrolysis. The free radical scavenging activity, ferric reducing/antioxidant power, lipid peroxidation inhibition activity, and total antioxidant activity were used for evaluation of the antioxidant activity. AEERB displayed an antioxidant activity and correlations of concentration levels of functional ingredients with antioxidant activity were significantly (p<0.05) positive.

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) in soil have caused widespread concern, which is necessary to developefficientand greentechnologies.Electrokinetic (EK)remediationtechnology,theirenhancementtechniquesand composite techniques with other processes have shown broad application prospects in thefield of soilPOPs remediation. In this paper, the progressof EK remediation technology in the remediation of POPs in soilin recent years is reviewed. It can be seen that some technologies need to be further studied and evaluated,and it is inappropriate to simplycompare them.The effectoffield remediation is boundto be affected byfieldconditions,andthefinal datawill be differentfromthelaboratory data. Some emerging technologies,such asadvanced oxidation technology and nanotechnology, demonstrated high POPs removal rates when coupledwith EK remediation technology. This paper provides some insights into the future development of thetechnology and provides reference for the selection of technology in practical application.

In recent years, a series of studies concerning the oscillation of interconnected systems has shown that frequency coupling has important effects on the stability of the system. In this paper, a more accurate theoretical model considering the frequency coupling effects is adopted to derive the transmission process in vector control, phase lock loop, and proportional–resonant controller of the harmonic perturbation in the frequency domain. This model is used to further deepen the application of harmonic linearization modeling to impedance modeling. An integrated three-phase modular multilevel converter simulation model based on the PSCAD platform is built to verify the accuracy of the theoretical modeling through the frequency sweep method. The influence of related system parameters on sequence and coupling impedance is analyzed in detail. The generalized Nyquist criterion is used to study the importance of coupling impedance to the stability analysis of the system.

Upregulation of Sirtuin Type 1 (SIRT1), a nicotinamide adeninedinucleotide (NAD+)-dependentdeacetylase, has been proved to protect against ample ocular diseases, while its effect onretinitis pigmentosa (RP) has not been illustrated. The study was aimed to explore the impactsof resveratrol (RSV), a SIRT1 activator, on the photoreceptor degeneration in a rat model of RPinduced by N-methyl-N-nitrosourea (MNU), an alkylation. The rats were induced RP phenotypesvia the intraperitoneal injection of MNU. The electroretinogram was conducted and revealedthat RSV could not prevent the decline of retinal function in the RP rats. The optical coherencetomography (OCT) and the retinal histological examination were performed and showed thatthe reduced thickness of the outer nuclear layer (ONL) was not preserved by RSV intervention. The immunostaining technique was applied. Afther the MNU administration, the number of theapoptotic photoreceptors in the ONL throughout the retinasand the number of microglia cellspresent among the outer part throughout the retinas were not significantly reduced by RSV. Western blotting was also performed. The data showed that the level of SIRT1 protein wasdecreased after MNU administration, while RSV was not able to obviously alleviate thedownregulation. Our data together indicated that RSV was not able to rescue thephotoreceptor degeneration in the MNU-induced RP rats, which might be due to the MNUinducedconsumption of the NAD+.
