Numerical Simulation and Experimental Research of Flow Force in Deflector Jet Valve

        Jing Li,Hao Yan,Cunkun Cai,Lei Li,Yukai Ren 한국유체기계학회 2020 International journal of fluid machinery and syste Vol.13 No.3

In most servo valve control systems, the flow force is a critical factor influencing the control precision of the servo valve, especially in the pilot stage. In this paper, the generating mechanism of the flow force in the pilot stage is analyzed, showing that it is mainly generated by the impacting jet. Then, a three-dimensional numerical model of the deflector servo valve is built, and the pressure distribution on the deflector is simulated under different offsets. Due to the complicated structure of the deflector jet valve, it is impossible to measure the flow force directly. Thus, an indirect method is proposed for the flow force measurement. Compared with the theoretical analysis and the simulation results, it is found that the indirect method can be an effective way to get a reliable relationship between the flow force and the deflector offsets. The experiment shows the flow force increases linearly with the deflector offsets and the growth rate is 7.32 × 10-4 N/㎛. Meanwhile, the maximum flow force can reach 0.036 6N in working condition.

State Feedback Control Promotes Transition Efficiency of Bag Filters

        Kun Li,Yukai Li,Rui Cong,Zheng Xu,Lei Zhang,Libing Liu,Song Zhang 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2024 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.22 No.1

How to improve the efficiency of bag filters has attracted a considerable amount of attention. However, effective control of the transition stage, which plays an important role in reducing the time to reach a new steady state, still lacks research. Here, we utilize a nominal linear system with a time delay to characterize the transition stage. We introduce two state feedback mechanisms, namely linear matrix inequality based state-feedback robust controller and parameter-tuning controller based on nonlinear matrix inequality, into control process. Results of both genetic algorithms simulations and closed-loop control experiments show that these controllers dramatically shorten the transition stage compared to open-loop control. Furthermore, we find that parameter-tuning controller outperforms linear matrix inequality based state-feedback robust controller in terms of both stable time and steady error. These results are robust to different experimental settings. From industrial economic perspective, this technology could help to conserve energy and protect environment.

Hepatitis B Virus Core Protein Mediates the Upregulation of C5α Receptor 1 via NF-κB Pathway to Facilitate the Growth and Migration of Hepatoma Cells

        Fanyun Kong,Yukai Tao,Dongchen Yuan,Ning Zhang,Qi Li,Tong Yu,Xiaoying Yang,Delong Kong,Xiaohui Ding,Xiangye Liu,Hongjuan You,Kuiyang Zheng,Renxian Tang 대한암학회 2021 Cancer Research and Treatment Vol.53 No.2

Purpose C5α receptor 1 (C5ΑR1) is associated with the development of various human cancers. However, whether it is involved in the development of hepatitis B virus (HBV)–related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is poorly understood. We explored the expression, biological role, and associated mechanisms of C5AR1 in HBV-related hepatoma cells. Materials and Methods The expression of C5ΑR1 mediated by HBV and HBV core protein (HBc) was detected in hepatoma cells. The function of nuclear factor кB (NF-κB) pathway in HBc-induced C5AR1 expression was assessed. The roles of C5ΑR1 in the activation of intracellular signal pathways, the upregulation of inflammatory cytokines, and the growth and migration of hepatoma cells mediated by HBc, were investigated. The effect of C5α in the development of HCC mediated by C5AR1 was also measured. Results C5ΑR1 expression was increased in HBV-positive hepatoma cells. Dependent on HBc, HBV enhanced the expression of C5ΑR1 at the mRNA and protein levels. Besides, HBc could promote C5ΑR1 expression via the NF-κB pathway. Based on the C5ΑR1, HBc facilitated the activation of JNK and ERK pathways and the expression and secretion of interleukin-6 in hepatoma cells. Furthermore, C5ΑR1 was responsible for enhancing the growth and migration of hepatoma cells mediated by HBc. Except these, C5α could promote the malignant development of HBc-positive HCC via C5AR1. Conclusion We provide new insight into the mechanisms of hepatocarcinogenesis mediated by HBc. C5ΑR1 has a significant role in the functional abnormality of hepatoma cells mediated by HBc, and might be utilized as a potential therapeutic target for HBV-related HCC.

Effect of Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus Immunotherapy on Upper and Lower Airway Eosinophilic Inflammatory Response to Nasal Allergen Challenge

        Renbin Huang,Rundong Qin,Qiurong Hu,Zheng Zhu,YuKai Liu,Tian Luo,Jing Li 대한천식알레르기학회 2020 Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Research Vol.12 No.5

Purpose: It remains unknown whether allergen-specific immunotherapy (AIT) could attenuate airway inflammatory response triggered by allergen exposure. Methods: We performed Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Der-p) nasal provocation tests (NPTs) in allergic rhinitis (AR) and/or asthma patients without AIT (non-AIT), or at 16, 52, 104, or 156 weeks after Der-p AIT. Rhinitis and asthma visual analog scale (VAS; VAS of nasal symptoms [VAS-NS], VAS of asthma symptoms), the rhinoconjunctivitis quality of life questionnaire (RQLQ), nasal lavage, sputum induction, fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO), nasal airway resistance, pulmonary function, and airway hyperresponsiveness were performed before and after NPT. Results: Non-AIT subjects demonstrated significantly higher VAS-NS before and after NPT compared to AIT subjects (P < 0.05). NPT response was positive in 14 (100%) non-AIT, 7 (70%) 16 weeks-AIT, 6 (60%) 52 weeks-AIT, 6 (60%) 104 weeks-AIT, and 2 (20%) 156 weeks-AIT subjects. The NPT grade significantly correlated with AIT duration and baseline RQLQ score (r = −0.561, P < 0.001 and r = 0.525, P < 0.001, respectively). Sputum and nasal lavage eosinophil count, and FeNO in non-AIT subjects were significantly increased 6 hours after NPT (P < 0.05). AIT subjects did not change their sputum or nasal lavage eosinophil count before and after NPT. Subjects with 156 weeks-AIT demonstrated significantly lower levels of sputum and nasal lavage eosinophil count before and after NPT when compared with non-AIT patients (P < 0.05). Sputum eosinophil counts positively correlated with nasal lavage eosinophil counts at baseline and 6 hours after NPT (r = 0.719, P = 0.006 and r = 0.823, P < 0.001, respectively) in non-AIT patients. Conclusion: Our results show that AIT can attenuate both upper and lower airway immune response to nasal allergen exposure in patients with AR and/or asthma.
