      • Using Support Vector Machine Method to Improve Company Performance Management

        Purpose: To explore the application prospect of support vector machine (SVM) in supply chain management and its practical application in supply chain performance evaluation practice. Research design, data and methodology: This paper establishes the performance evaluation index system of supply chain management according to the balanced scorecard (BSC) theory, and establishes the SVM model of supply chain management performance evaluation based on the SVM principle. Results: The performance evaluation results of the supply chain of an electric power equipment Co., Ltd. in Harbin established by using the model are consistent with the actual situation, which indicates the nature and accuracy of the possible reflection of the established supply chain performance evaluation model. Conclusions: The results show that SVM model can be used to evaluate enterprise supply chain management performance indicators, and can improve enterprise supply chain management performance, thus demonstrating the effectiveness of the model.

        Plasma Targeted Metabolomics Analysis for Amino Acids and Acylcarnitines in Patients with Prediabetes, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, and Diabetic Vascular Complications

        Background: We hypothesized that specific amino acids or acylcarnitines would have benefits for the differential diagnosis of diabetes. Thus, a targeted metabolomics for amino acids and acylcarnitines in patients with diabetes and its complications was carried out. Methods: A cohort of 54 normal individuals and 156 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and/or diabetic complications enrolled from the First Affiliated Hospital of Jinzhou Medical University was studied. The subjects were divided into five main groups: normal individuals, impaired fasting glucose, overt diabetes, diabetic microvascular complications, and diabetic peripheral vascular disease. The technique of tandem mass spectrometry was applied to obtain the plasma metabolite profiles. Metabolomics multivariate statistics were applied for the metabolic data analysis and the differential metabolites determination. Results: A total of 10 cross-comparisons within diabetes and its complications were designed to explore the differential metabolites. The results demonstrated that eight comparisons existed and yielded significant metabolic differences. A total number of 24 differential metabolites were determined from six selected comparisons, including up-regulated amino acids, down-regulated medium-chain and long-chain acylcarnitines. Altered differential metabolites provided six panels of biomarkers, which were helpful in distinguishing diabetic patients. Conclusion: Our results demonstrated that the biomarker panels consisted of specific amino acids and acylcarnitines which could reflect the metabolic variations among the different stages of diabetes and might be useful for the differential diagnosis of prediabetes, overt diabetes and diabetic complications.

        An investigation of DNA-like structured dye-sensitized solar cells

        This paper reports a 3D DNA-like structured dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC) with all-Ti substrates. A selforganized TiO2 nanotubular arrays layer was directly grown on the photoanode surface by electrochemical anodization. Compared with the traditional flat-type DSSC, the DNA-like DSSC showed superiority of light utilization due to its symmetrical double-helix structure. Different thickness of the nanotubular arrays layers were investigated to find their influence on the cell’s photovoltaic parameters, and the cell with a 15.3 ㎛ layer exhibited the highest Pmax, about 0.49 mW. The series.parallel connection characteristics of the DNA-like DSSCs reveal that the total voltage and the total short current equalled the sum of each cell’s in series and in parallel, respectively. It is anticipated that the novel DNA-like structured DSSCs have great application potential in larger modules using integrated circuit.

        Variations of stress and deformation in the straightening process of turnout base plate

        Straightening technology is an important method to manufacture a high-speed railway turnout base plate with positioning blocks after welding. According to the straightening experiment results, the differences in straightening deformation and stress distribution were investigated between the turnout base plate and the counterpart flat plate under different loading conditions. The residual deformation of the counterpart flat plate is much higher than that of the base plate because of the welded positioning blocks. A theoretical model was presented to predict the straightening deformation variation. Finite element simulations were performed to simulate stress variation in the straightening process of the base plate. The stress concentration and residual stress distribution of the base plate were visually observed. The stress concentration factor changes gradually with the interface angle deflection at the welding area of the positioning block. The variation of dynamic stress concentration factor can be calculated and provide a certain theoretical reference to predict the straightening parameters.

        Optical Polarization Characteristics of Low-Earth-Orbit Space Targets

        This study investigates the optical polarization characteristics of low-earth-orbit (LEO) space targets at different operating attitudes for different surface materials by analyzing these characteristics using a microfacet analysis model. Subsequently, the polarization image of a typical LEO space target was simulated, and several laboratory and outfield polarization detection experiments were conducted. Simulated and experimental results validate the effectiveness of polarization in analyzing and evaluating the operating attitudes of the LEO space targets and in identifying their material properties. Results show that the polarization images can effectively determine the constituent structure of the LEO space targets.

        Detecting Graspable Rectangles of Objects in Robotic Grasping

        Most convolutional neural network based grasp detection methods evaluate the predicted grasp by computing its overlap with the selected ground truth grasp. But for typical grasp datasets, not all graspable examples are labelled as ground truths. Hence, directly back propagating the generated loss during training could not fully reveal the graspable ability of the predicted grasp. In this paper, we integrate the grasp mapping mechanism with the convolutional neural network, and propose a multi-scale, multi-grasp detection model. First, we connect each labeled grasp and refine them by discarding inconsistent and redundant connections to form the grasp path. Then, the predicted grasp is mapped to the grasp path and the error between them is used for back-propagation as well as grasp evaluation. Last, they are combined into the multi-grasp detection framework to detect grasps with efficiency. Experimental results both on Cornell Grasping Dataset and real-world robotic grasping system verify the effectiveness of our proposed method. In addition, its detection accuracy keeps relatively stable even in the circumstance ofhigh Jaccard threshold.

        H_∞ Control of Networked Control Systems with Packet Disordering with an Improved Prediction-based Method

        This paper is concerned with H_∞ control of networked control systems (NCSs) with both network-induced delay and packet disordering taken into account. A switching-based method depends on different cases of prediction numbers is presented to model the NCSs as a switched system. With the application of an improved prediciton-based method to compensate for the time delay and packet disordering, H_∞ controller is designed by solving the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). The proposed method can be applied variously due to all kinds of prediciton numbers of the consective disordering packet have been considered, which means that our techniques are less conservative than existing lit-eratures. Finally numerical examples and simulations are used to illustrate the effectiveness and valid-ity of the proposed switching-based method and the improved prediction-based H∞ controller design synthesis.

        Growth Mechanism and Electrochemical Properties of Porous Hollow Tin Oxide Nanospheres

        "Porous hollow SnO2 nanospheres were prepared by means of enforced Sn2+ hydrolysis method under hydrochloric acid medium. These hollow nanospheres with an average diameter of 220 nm had a very thin shell thickness of about 40 nm and were surrounded by elongated octahedral-like nanoparticles with the apex oriented outside. The experimental conditions, such as HCl content, reaction temperature and time directly dominated the morphology, structure and crystallinity of the obtained samples. A pre-oxidation-nucleation-growth mechanism and inside-out Ostwald-ripening method was proposed on the basis of the previous research and time-dependent experiments. Electrochemical tests showed that the porous hollow SnO2 nanospheres exhibited improved cycling performance for anode materials of lithium-ion batteries, which retained a high reversible capacity of 540.0 mAhg-1 , and stable cyclic retention at 120th cycle."
