With the introduction of future multimedia services such as VOD(Video On Demand), NOD(New On Demand), HDTV and digital library, the video server system able to store and retrieve a huge amount of multimedia data(video, audio, graphic and animation) will be important. One of key issues is the multimedia data optimization. In this paper present three schemes for placement of video data on parallel disk array. As compared to previous approaches, the proposed techniques harness the average transfer rate for each magnetic disk instead of its minimum transfer rate. Using MZR disk characteristics and subband compression technique, this paper analyze disk I/O bandwidth and buffer constraint for comparing three schemes. And this paper present MZR disk partition algorithm that reserving fixed throughput for subbanded video streams. The proposed schemes are evaluated performance on parallel disk array of 8 disks. One scheme, using striping and partitioning frames, is shown to be superior. The research result are as follows: ① The proposed placement scheme are reduce disk space waste rate by partition and striping technique for subbanded video data. ② The scheme can used the skewed environment that a video data accessed highly for another videos. ③ The scheme's admission control mechanism is very simple and effective for reserving fixed throughput.

VOD(Video-on-Demand) servers must be able to store large number of video data and maximize the number of concurrent user's requests. So VOD servers should be supported very large storage capacity and bandwidth. There are need to a study that allocate video blocks on disks efficiently. In this paper, We propose the video data placement methods based on user's video access pattern and disk products currently. When we are observed the user's video access pattern on VOD servers, there are skewed access pattern. The hot videos are accessed by many users very frequently. And cold videoes are not accessed frequently. We present an integerated system approach to replicate hot video blocks on another disk groups. And recently producted disks have different storage capacity and transfer rates on each disk track groups. The outer tracks have more storage capacity and transfer rate than inner tracks. We present a new placement method to allocate hot video blocks on outer disk tracks.

One of key issues is the multimedia data optimization. In this paper, I designed video data storage server based on parallel file system techniques. The parallel file system used scientific application for obtaining high I/O throughput. But it have not include any mechanism for real time constraints. Because a traditional file system and parallel file system use a buffer cache, there are many memory copy overheads. The designed video server are not used buffer cache. This paper proposed video server architecture that clustered workstation have cost effective performance than MPP. And I proposed fundamental techniques for video server : 1) optimized block size, 2) data placement technique that based round robin striping, 3) simple and efficient buffer management method, 4) admission control mechanism 5) user interface that used for programming multimedia application.
웹 환경에서 중학교 체육교과 보조학습 시스템 개발 및 평가

정보통신기술을 학교 교육에 도입함으로써 전통적인 교육방법과 교육내용 등에 획기적인 변화가 일어나고 있다. 이러한 변화에 따라 제7차 교육과정에서는 모든 교과 수업의 10%이상을 ICT를 활용하여 수업하도록 유도하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 제7차 교육과정의 체육교과 수업에서 ICT를 효율적으로 활용하기 위한 방법을 찾고자 체육교과에 적합한 코스웨어 설계 기본 방향을 설정하였다. 그리고 중학교 육상 단거리 달리기, 전력 달리기 동작 등을 대상으로 웹, 플래시와 데이터베이스 등을 이용하여 원격학습 프로그램을 개발하고 중학생 4개 학급의 140명 학생들을 대상으로 수업한 후에 효율성을 평가하였다. 설문과 시험을 통한 평가 결과에 따르면 학생들은 ICT 활용교육은 수업내용의 이해에 효과적이고, 수업 집중이 잘되고, 학생들이 능동적으로 수업에 참여하는 것으로 나타났다. There are making epoch changes of a teaching method and educational contents as information communication technology(ICT) introduced to school education. The 7th curriculum induces that teaching hours should be assigned to education using ICT more than 10% of all classroom work hours. In this study. we established basic course of' courseware design for applying ICT to physical education effectively in the 7th curriculum. We developed distance-learning program for motion of short-distance race and the entire his power race in middle school using Web. Flash and Database. And w+e evaluated efficiency by students that are 4 classrooms(140 persons) after teaching using the WBI. According to results of questions and a test. the students expressed that education using ICT make understanding of instruction substance effectively, concentrating their attention on leaching and concerning in teaching actively.
자기 주도적 학습능력 신장을 위한 영어 학습 웹 코스웨어의 설계 및 구현

The education of our country enters very important turning point toward one great goal, to educate the men of ability who are ready for the 21th century. To achieve this purpose, we should teach students who can perform their learning activity by themselves through free investigation an gathering information instead of providing a piece of knowledge to them directly. In other words, we need to bring up students who have the ability to live their lives self-directedly. In this study, we designed and implemented a virtual English conversation class using Web and DBMS to meet such need. This study will help students learn English conversation effectively by improving their creativity and self-directed learning ability through the DBMS of high school English curriculum and Web.
정보영재의 사고력 신장을 위한 단계별 교수-학습 모형의 적용 결과 비교 분석

이 논문에서는 정보 영재의 사고력 신장을 위한 교수-학습 프로그램으로 트리 구성과 트리 탐색에 기반을 둔 모형을 제시하고 분석한다. 제시된 교수-학습 모형은 문제를 표현하는 트리의 유형에 따라 세 가지 유형으로 구분되며, 각 모형은 다시 네 가지 단계의 학습 단계로 구성된다. 구성되는 트리의 모형에 따라 적용되는 알고리즘에는 recursion, heuristic, minimax 탐색 방법 등이 도입되어 적용된다. 이 모델은 저 수준의 사고력을 요구하는 간단한 모형에서 출발하여 고 수준의 사고력을 요구하는 복잡한 모형으로 발전시키는 교육 방법을 제시함으로써 사고력 신장의 정도에 따라 초등학교 학생들로 부터 중학교, 고등학교 학생들에 이르기 까지 대상을 확대하여 점진적으로 적용할 수 있는 교육 방법이 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. 이 교육 프로그램 모형을 실제 교육 현장에서 적용하여 교수-학습 프로그램 유형별로 학습 단계간의 적용 결과를 비교 분석한다.
