Rhabdomyosarcoma, which is a very rare and highly malignant disease in urologic field, has three categories-pleomorphic, alveolar, embryonal, and may arise from any part of the body that contains embryonal mesenchyme, whether striated muscle tissue is present or not. The common site in the genitourinary tract are prostate, bladder, and vagina. Herein we experienced a rhabdomyosarcoma of the pelvic cavity and reviewed literature briefly.

In this paper, the pole-placement method is used in order to design a self-tuning controller for a system represented by a discrete stochastic state equation. In designing a discrete adaptive controller, the problems faced are that the rules of adaptive control must be suitable in any situation which may be caused by perturbation of the parameters and the algorithms should be simplified so that the sampling time can be shortened as much as possible. It is shown that when the floe-placement method suggested by Beger is used a self-tuning controller can also be applied to a non-minimum phase system and the algorithms are simplified. The extended least-squares identification algorithm is used to obtain an unbiased estimation of the parameters. Though this approach has been applied only to the single input-output system, it can be extended to multi-variable systems.

<P>ULK1 (unc-51 like kinase 1) is a serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a key role in regulating the induction of autophagy. Recent studies using autophagy-defective mouse models, such as atg5- or atg7-deficient mice, revealed an important function of autophagy in adipocyte differentiation. Suppression of adipogenesis in autophagy-defective conditions has made it difficult to study the roles of autophagy in metabolism of differentiated adipocytes. In this study, we established autophagy defective-differentiated 3T3-L1 adipocytes, and investigated the roles of Ulk1 and its close homolog Ulk2 in lipid and glucose metabolism using the established adipocytes. Through knockdown approaches, we determined that Ulk1 and Ulk2 are important for basal and MTORC1 inhibition-induced autophagy, basal lipolysis, and mitochondrial respiration. However, unlike other autophagy genes (Atg5, Atg13, Rb1cc1/Fip200, and Becn1) Ulk1 was dispensable for adipogenesis without affecting the expression of CCAAT/enhancer binding protein ? (CEBPA) and peroxisome proliferation-activated receptor gamma (PPARG). Ulk1 knockdown reduced fatty acid oxidation and enhanced fatty acid uptake, the metabolic changes that could contribute to adipogenesis, whereas Ulk2 knockdown had opposing effects. We also found that the expression levels of insulin receptor (INSR), insulin receptor substrate 1 (IRS1), and glucose transporter 4 (SLC2A4/GLUT4) were increased in Ulk1-silenced adipocytes, which was accompanied by upregulation of insulin-stimulated glucose uptake. These results suggest that ULK1, albeit its important autophagic role, regulates lipid metabolism and glucose uptake in adipocytes distinctly from other autophagy proteins.</P>

The purpose of this study is to identify how the environmental factors influencing casino industry directly or indirectly are operated in the strategy of casino industry, how its strategy implementation is related to its performance. To conducted a critical survey which is based on the theoretical study including a study model ad hypothesis, For this survey, sampled Seoul, Pusan, Cheju island-based Casino agencies. The conclusions are as follows; First, It is important to development unique product, specialized service that our casino industry's has through market segment and marketing strategy. system for domestic people and tourist who are enjoyed leisure with their family in casino. Third, Government give helps through institutional support such as reduction of taxes, irregulation of casino game, and permission of domestic people, and so on. This research has some limitations as follows. First, in a field survey I could not examine visitors' need. Second, in the analysis of business performance both financial and non-financial performance measurement are not simultaneously performed. But I just used non-financial performance measurement because couldn't determinate financial performance measurement. For the further studies on this research subject, the improved ways of determination of financial and non-financial performance measurement could be used.

The serum prolactin, LH, FSH, and testosterone were measured by RIA method for the evaluation of the hypothalamo-pituitary-testicular axis through the LHRH stimulation test before and after intramuscular injection of 50 mg of testosterone propionate(T.p.) in normal controls and patients with chronic renal failure(CRF) before specific treatment. 1. The basal level of the serum prolactin was significantly higher in the patients with CRF (124.9±46.3ng/ml, M±S.E.) compared with normal controls(11.2±2.1ng/ml). 2. The basal level of serum LH in normal controls was 7.1±l.4mIU/ml and the peak level was 46.5±3.9mIU/ml in 30 min. after I.v. injection of 100㎍ of LHRH. In patients with CRF, the basal serum level of LH was 15.5±2.7mIU/ml and peak level was 37.1±5.4mIU/ml in 180 min. after administration of LHRH, showing delayed response to LHRFI stimulation in patients with CRF. After administration of T.p., the response of LH to LHRH stimulation in normal controls was suppressed, while in the patients with CRF,as no significant difference between the responses before and after injection of T.p.. R. Basal serum FSH levels in normal controls was 3.2±0.4mIU/ml, and at 60min. After LHRH stimulation, level of the FSH was elevated to peak level significantly. The basal serum level of FSH in patients with CRF was 2.9±0.9mIU/ml and elevated more slowly with LHRH stimulation compared with normal controls. After injection of T,p., the basal levels of serum FSH and the responses to LHRH stimulation test were not changed significantly in normal controls and the patients with CRF. 4. The basal serum level of testosterone was 5.2±0.4ng/dl in normal controls. In the patients with CRF, the basal level of testosterone was significantly lower(3.5±0,8ng/dl) than that of normal controls. The serum testosterone level was not changed within 3 hours with LHRH stimulation in both normal controls and patients with CRF. After administration of T.p., the basal levels of testosterone in patients and controls were elevated significantly bhere was no response to LHRH stimulation. With the above results. It can be concluded that the abnormal response of the pituitary gland to the change of testosterone level, elevated serum prolactin level, increased LH level, and abnormal response to LHRH stimulation contribute the abnormal sexual functions in patients with CRF.
