        Mycosis Fungoides and Variants of Mycosis Fungoides: A Retrospective Study of 93 Patients in a Chinese Population at a Single Center

        Background: Mycosis fungoides (MF) is the most common types of cutaneous T cell lymphoma. It typically presents with erythematous patches and plaques in the early stage and tumors and extracutaneous involvement with possibly fatal outcomes in the late stage. To facilitate early and accurate diagnosis of MF, it is essential to be knowledgeable of classic and variants of this disease. However, there is limited published data in the Chinese population. Objective: To characterize our patient group and to provide additional insight into these malignancies. Methods: Patients diagnosed with mycosis fungoides and its variants from October 2012 to January 2018 were retrospectively analyzed. Disease-specific survival (DSS) rate and curve according to early and advanced stages were also calculated. Results: The mean age at diagnosis of ninety-three MF patients was 38.9±1.73 years (range: 6∼77). Forty-five males (48.4%) and 48 females (51.6 %) were included in this study. The DSS rate of early- stage MF was 98.6%, while that of advanced stage MF was 88.9%. There was a significant difference in DSS rate between early stage and advanced stage MF (p=0.042, logrank test). The median age of 10 patients with hypopigmented MF (hMF) was 10.5 years (range: 6∼28). The age of hMF was younger than that of classical MF patients (p <0.05). Conclusion: Early-stage MF has a better prognosis than advanced stage and hMF affects younger people than classic MF among Chinese.         본 연구는 중국 산동성 중소기업들이 도입하고 있는 성과주의 인적자원관리 관행이 어떻게 구성되어 있으며, 이러한 성과주의 인적자원관리제도가 기업의 성과에 어떠한 영향을 미쳤는지에 대해서 검증하고자 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 중국 산동성의 중소기업을 대상으로 채용제도, 교육훈련, 평가제도, 보상제도 및 승진제도 등 성과주의 인적자원관리제도와 조직유효성, 특히 조직몰입간의 인과관계를 분석하여 이에 관한 시사점을 모색하는데 있다. 연구결과 채용제도, 교육훈련제도, 승진제도 등의 성과주의 인적자원관리제도는 조직몰입에 매우 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 평가제도, 보상제도 등의 다른 요인들보다는 상대적으로 약한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. The purpose of this study is to present and identify the relationship for the effects of performance-based human resource practices on the organizational effectiveness with focusing on small and medium-sized enterprises around Shandong province of China. The performance-based human resource practice factors include selective employment system, education training system, evaluation system, compensation system and the career promotion ladder opportunity system. As a result, among ten hypotheses, six hypotheses turned out to be the meaningful approaches. In addition there exist some human factors that interfere with the fairness of the evaluation due to the regional and personal factors, assessment system difference among firms. Finally the compensation system and organizational investment for increasing or decreasing will critically affect the enthusiasm of the staff members of firms, and the less invested for thema, the greater the likelihood of their turnovers.

        Uplink Achievable Rate analysis of Massive MIMO Systems in Transmit-correlated Ricean Fading Environments

        In this article, the uplink achievable rate is investigated for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) under correlated Ricean fading channel, where each base station (BS) and user are both deployed multiple antennas. Considering the availability of prior knowledge at BS, two different channel estimation approaches are adopted with and without prior knowledge. Based on these channel estimations, a two-layer decoding scheme is adopted with maximum ratio precoding as the first layer decoder and optimal second layer precoding in the second layer. Based on two aforementioned channel estimations and two-layer decoding scheme, the exact closed form expressions for uplink achievable rates are computed with and without prior knowledge, respectively. These derived expressions enable us to analyze the impacts of line-of-sight (LoS) component, two-layer decoding, data transmit power, pilot contamination, and spatially correlated Ricean fading. Then, numerical results illustrate that the system with spatially correlated Ricean fading channel is superior in terms of uplink achievable rate. Besides, it reveals that compared with the single-layer decoding, the two-layer decoding scheme can significantly improve the uplink achievable rate performance.

      • A Virtual Resistance Based Reactive Power Sharing Strategy for Networked Microgrid

        Different from the traditional microgrid with a common ac bus, networked microgrid always suffers more serious reactive power sharing problems due to its complex inner configurations. In such a situation, the reactive power sharing errors among distributed generation (DG) units can’t be eliminated effectively. Thus, an advanced reactive power sharing strategy that employs communication and virtual resistance control is hereby proposed for networked microgrid. First of all, the relation between reactive power output and virtual impedance regulation (VRR) is discussed. After that, communication is introduced to assign reactive power reference to each DG unit for their respective VRR, which is able to compensate the mismatch in network. The method is immune to the load change during the regulation stage, and also to the time delay in communication channels. From the small signal analysis, it also can be seen that in the designed regulation range, VRR has no significant effect on the system stability. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed strategy are validated by the simulation and real time digital simulator (RTDS) test results from a 50 kVA networked microgrid system.

        Catalytic Conversion of Cellulose to Cellulose Acetate Propionate (CAP) Over SO42−/ZrO2 Solid Acid Catalyst

        The solid super acid catalyst SO4 2−/ZrO2 was prepared by impregnation method using ZrO2 as the catalyst support. Catalyst forming was taken into consideration in order to separate catalyst from the mixture of cellulose acetate propionate (CAP). Al2O3 and sesbania gum powder were selected as binding agent and auxiliary agent respectively. The catalytic properties were evaluated through esterification of cellulose with acetic anhydride, propionic anhydride and characterized by XRD, FTIR and NH3-TPD. In this paper, the effects of concentration of H2SO4 impregnated, calcination temperature, esterification temperature and esterification time on the yield, acyl content and viscosity of CAP were investigated. The results showed that SO4 2−/ZrO2 successfully catalyzed CAP synthesis over catalysts impregnated in 0.75 mol/L H2SO4 and calcined at 500 oC. The yield, acetyl content and propionyl content of CAP reached the maximum value of 105.3%, 29.9% and 25.8% reacted at 50 oC for 8 h.

        Experimental Analysis of the Mechanical Properties of Austenitic S30408 Stainless Steel Welded Joints at Low Temperatures

        Austenitic S30408 stainless steel exhibits good low-temperature resistance and good welding performance. This steel is often used in liquefied natural gas stainless steel storage tanks. During the construction process, the tank wall is primarily connected by butt weld joints. Because welded joints are easily affected by temperature, low-temperature weld cracking can reduce the safety of structures. To study the cryogenic mechanical properties of austenitic S30408 stainless steel welded joints at low temperatures, the low-temperature mechanical properties of austenitic S30408 stainless steel base metal and welded joint components were studied by tensile tests from − 60 to 20 °C and scanning electron microscopy analysis of fractures at various temperatures. The results show that when the temperature decreases, the stress–strain curve of base metal components changes from a power function type to an inverted "s" type; in addition, secondary hardening occurs. The yield strength and tensile strength of the welded joint and base metal increased with decreasing temperature, and the elongation and reduction of area decreased. The plastic deformation capacity of the welded joint was significantly lower than that of the base metal, and there were obvious inclusions in the microstructure.

        Stress Localization in Brittle Rock-Like Samples of Particle-Filled Joints under Direct Shear Loading

        The mechanical strength and stability of particulate materials are controlled by their frictional behavior, which plays a vital role in evolving of landslides and geological hazards. While deformation of particles is closely related to the stress localization, the shear displacement processes controlling local stresses are difficult to be observed directly. In this paper, the laboratory direct shear experiments were designed to explore the relationship between local stresses and particles’ behavior, as well as clarify the particle size effect on the particle-filled joint’s mechanical properties. A new method was proposed, which combined the 3D scanning technology and statistical analysis for reconstructing the aperture distribution evolution during the shear process. The local stress regions were assessed by analyzing the aperture evolution. The direct shear tests on artificial joints filled with particles of different sizes were conducted with a normal load of 30 kN. The results obtained proved that the filled joint's mechanical behavior had a close correlation with the particle size, which involved not only the peak strength but also the residual shear strength. The particles’ deformation determined the normal strain, while the shear displacement controlled the aperture distribution, further influencing the local stress. Three modes of particle deformation were proposed based on the analysis of mechanical behavior and the local stress region. The findings of this study are considered instrumental in investigating failure mechanism with an increasing fault or landslide displacement that may trigger localization–delocalization events and, therefore, control the macroscopic stability and prevent the occurrence of potential geological hazards.

        Fast Supplementary Voltage Control Strategy to Mitigate Catastrophic Trip-off Risk of Wind Turbines

        There exists such a risk that Magnetic Control Reactor (MCR) type Static Var Compensator (SVC), which is widely used in wind farms, still outputs excessive reactive power after fault removal in the wind farm due to the slow regulating speed of MCR, leading to catastrophic trip-off problem of wind turbine. For the purpose of overcoming the shortage of MCR-type SVC on regulating speed and eff ectively controlling the transient over-voltage level of wind farm due to fault removal, an novel fast supplementary voltage control strategy for MCR-type SVC based on decision tree algorithm is proposed. The over-voltage level and trip-off risk of each wind turbine after fault removal is predicted by the proposed dynamic voltage security decision tree system. According to the predictions, appropriate capacitor banks are shed to lower the risk of wind turbine trip-off due to overvoltage, resulting from reactive power over-compensation. It can be proven with case studies that the proposed strategy is capable of reducing the risk of over-voltage in wind farms, accompanied by the excellent computational effi ciency.

        Product labels are one way for advertisers to provide information to purchasers on product quality (Atkinson & Rosenthal, 2014). Label policies have been issued to promote information disclosure on food products in some developed countries. Recent years have also seen increasing attempts to promote healthy eating in emerging markets. In China, nutrition labels became mandatory under the nutrition labeling acts. The laws require nutrition information to be presented at the point of purchase as well as in establishments where food is prepared or consumed. Additionally, similar actions were taken by India (India Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 2011), Mercosur members and in South Africa (Brazilian Ministry of Health, 2012; Institute of Food Technologists [IFT], 2011).
