왕겨에 의한 신령버섯균사체 액체배양액의 생쥐 항복수암성 증가

왕겨가 Agaricus blazei Murill (AB: 신령버섯)균사체 액체배양 추출물의 항암성을 증가시키는지에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. AB균사체를 대두박을 기본으로 한 액체배지에 다양한 조건으로 배양하여, β-glucan 함량, Brix, 균사체를 측정하여 적정 생육조건을 선정하고, 이들의 열수추출물의 S-180 cell로 유도한 mouse 복수암에 대한 항암성을 조사하였다. AB균사체는 25℃에서 5일간 배양하였을 때 최적 생육을 나타내었고, 이 배양물이 다른 조건에서 배양한 배양물보다 우수한 항암성을 나타내었다. AB균사체의 생육 및 항암성은 변온배양에 따른 효과는 없었다. 따라서 이 최적배양조건(25℃, 5일 배양)에서 AB균사체를 1% 왕겨분말이 함유된 액체배지에 배양하고, 이의 열수 추출물의 항암성을 검증하였다. 1% 왕겨가 함유된 액체배지에서 배양한 열수추출물의 항암성은 왕겨가 함유되지 않은 배지의 열수추출물보다 항암성이 유의성 있게 증가되었다(p<0.05). 왕겨의 첨가는 AB균사체의 생육을 오히려 촉진시켰다. 이 결과는 왕겨가 AB균사체 뿐 만 아니라 다른 버섯균사체 액체배양물의 항암성 증진을 위한 원료로 활용될 수 있을 것임을 의미한다. The effects of rice hull (RH) powder on the anticarcinogenic activity of submerged-liquid cultures of Agaricus blazei Murill (AB) were assessed for mouse ascites cancers induced by mouse Sarcoma S-180 (S-180) cancer cells. Optimal growth of AB mycelia in the basal liquid culture medium, containing soybean meal, was achieved by culturing at 25℃ for 5 days, when evaluated by β-glucan content, Brix, and mycelial weight, relative to other culture conditions. Hot-water extract (HWE) of the submergedliquid culture of AB mycelia grown at 25℃ for 5 days exhibited a stronger anticarcinogenic activity, relative to HWE from other culture conditions. No such effects were obtained from AB mycelial cultures by alternative temperature-controlling cultures. Both cytotoxicity for S-180 cells and anticarcinogenic potentials for mouse ascites cancer of the HWE from AB mycelia grown in the basal medium containing 1% RH powder for 5 days at 25℃ were significantly (p<0.05) enhanced, relative to HWE from the AB mycelia culture of the basal medium without RH powder. These results indicate that HWE of submerged-liquid culture of AB mycelia, incubated in media containing 1% RH powder at 25℃ for 5 days, enhanced anticarcinogenic activity against S-180 cell-induced mouse ascites cancer, and suggest that RH powder is an excellent ingredient for the improvement of the anticarcinogenic potentials of the submerged-liquid culture of mushroom mycelia.
변형된 사이클론 먼지포집기의 이용이 무창계사의 먼지농도에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 변형된 사이클론식 먼지포집기를 이용하여 계사의 먼지농도를 낮추고자 먼지포집기를 개발하였으며 무창육계사에서의 먼지 저감효과를 알아보고자 경기 화성 소재 육계농장의 무창계사에서 시험을 수행하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 시험계사의 환기량은 2주령시 $0.014{\sim}0.015cmm$ 이었으며 5주령시에는 $0.158{\sim}0.181cmm$이었다. 암모니아가슬 농도는 1주령시 $13{\sim}16\;ppm$, 2주령시 $20{\sim}24ppm$이었으며 $CO_2$ 농도는 1주령시 400-500ppm이었으며 2주령 시 $1,000{\sim}2,000ppm$이었다. 2. 먼지포집기의 기계별 1주간 먼지포집량은 1주령시 104.1g, 2주령시 274.7g, 3주령시 388.6g으로 증가하다가 4주령에는 감소하였다. 3. 먼지포집기의 주령별 먼지 포집효율은 TSP의 경우 먼지포집기를 통과하기전 $3,111.7{\sim}8,745.2\;{\mu}g/m^3$로 높았으나 먼지포집기를 통과하고 난 후 $530.8{\sim}2,264.4\;{\mu}g/m^3$로 낮아져 $54.2{\sim}82.9%$의 효율을 보였으나 PM1.0의 경우 통과전 $15.2{\sim}39.0\;{\mu}g/m^3$에서 통과 후 $11.9{\sim}34.9\;{\mu}g/m^3$로 $7.6{\sim}33.8%$의 낮은 포집효율을 보였다. 4. 대조구의 경우 1주령시 TSP 농도는 $1,387.6\;{\mu}g/m^3$, 4주령시 $4,210.1\;{\mu}g/m^3$으로 높았으나 먼지포집기가 설치된 시험구의 경우 1주령시 $876.3\;{\mu}g/m^3$, 4주령시 $2,535.3\;{\mu}g/m^3$으로 $36.8{\sim}39.8%$의 먼지 저감효과가 있었다. 그러나 PM2.5, PM1.0의 경우 $11.4{\sim}39.8%$의 낮은 먼지저감 효과가 있었다. 5. 대조구의 경우 폐사율은 4.06%이었으나 시험구는 3.13%으로 낮아졌으며 출하체중도 대조구는 1.658kg인데 비하여 시험구는 1.742kg으로 높았다. This study was carried out to develop the modified cyclone dust collector in windowless broiler building measuring 12 m wide, 46 m long, with a side wall height of 3 m and a capacity of 12,800 birds. Ventilation rate in windowless broiler building was $0.014{\sim}0.015\;and\;0.158{\sim}0.181cmm$ in second weeks and fifth weeks of age, respectively. Ammonia concentration was $13{\sim}16\;and\;20{\sim}24\;ppm$ in first and second weeks of age, respectively. Amount of dust collected in dust collector each week was 104.1, 274.7 and 388.6g in first, second and third weeks of age. But it was decreased from fourth weeks of age because of the increased ventilation rate. Total suspended particulate(TSP) of polluted air was $3,111.7{\sim}8,745.2{\mu}g/m^3$, but it was decreased to $530.8{\sim}2,264.4{\mu}g/m^3$ when it passed through the dust collector. Collecting efficiency was $54.2{\sim}82.9%$ in TSP. But collecting efficiency of Particulate matter smaller than $1{\mu}g$ (PM1.0) was $7.6{\sim}33.8%$, and lower than TSP. TSP concentration in control broiler house was 1,387.6 and $4,210.1{\mu}g/m^3$ in first and fourth weeks of age, respectively. But it was decreased to 876.3 and $2,535.3{\mu}g/m^3$ in broiler house operated dust collector in first and fourth weeks of age, respectively. Dust collecting efficiency for TSP was $36.8{\sim}39.8%$, and it was decreased to $11.4{\sim}39.8%$ in smaller dust size.
Design of compact microwave plasma ion sources for focused ion beam

Two types of compact microwave plasma ion sources (MWPIS) for focused ion beam (FIB) have been developed. Cavity resonator type plasma ion source is subjected to make resonant electric field in order to ignite plasma efficiently. The optimum length of resonator and antenna, and position of quartz and antenna have been designed by both simple calculation and computer simulation. The other source consists of a cylindrical dielectric discharging chamber and an insulated co-axial antenna. To maximize electric field inside discharge chamber, both shape and length of antenna are determined. A magnet system is designed to provide the resonant magnetic field for electron cyclotron plasma.
Personal values underlying ethnic food choice: Means-end evidence for Japanese food

Background Ethnic cuisines are increasingly popular in global food markets. This study identifies the personal values underlying Malaysian consumers' decision making with respect to Japanese food. Methods A total of 134 Malaysian consumers were interviewed and analyzed using means-end chain methodology. Results Our findings indicate that Japanese food is chosen for the values that the attribute “tasty” can help achieve, not for that attribute per se. Conclusion Identified values primarily related to longevity, meaningful life-style and sense of accomplishment. The identification of these connections is an important step in understanding why a particular ethnic food is favored by foreign consumers. Our findings could be helpful to restaurateurs in meeting marketing strategies with consumer values and policymakers when designing health campaigns.
