        Heme oxygenase-1 induced by desoxo-narchinol-A attenuated the severity of acute pancreatitis via blockade of neutrophil infiltration

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Heme oxygenase-1 (HO-1) has an anti-inflammatory action in acute pancreatitis (AP). However, its mechanism of action and natural compounds/drugs to induce HO-1 in pancreas are not well understood. In this study, we investigated the regulatory mechanisms of HO-1 during AP using desoxo-narchinol-A (DN), the natural compound inducing HO-1 in the pancreas. Female C57/BL6 Mice were intraperitoneally injected with supramaximal concentrations of cerulein (50 μg/kg) hourly for 6 h to induce AP. DMSO or DN was administered intraperitoneally, then mice were sacrificed 6 h after the final cerulein injection. Administration of DN increased pancreatic HO-1 expression through activation of activating protein-1, mediated by mitogen-activated protein kinases. Furthermore, DN treatment reduced the pancreatic weight-to-body weight ratio as well as production of digestive enzymes and pro-inflammatory cytokines. Inhibition of HO-1 by tin protoporphyrin IX abolished the protective effects of DN on pancreatic damage. Additionally, DN treatment inhibited neutrophil infiltration into the pancreas via regulation of chemokine (C-X-C motif) ligand 2 (CXCL2) by HO-1.         As Follow suggested : The purpose of this study was to consider tendency of modern sports information. today Modernst information system had four areas such as collection, clearance, communication and application So, most literuture of America and Europe was collected, cleared, communicated and apilcated in international sports data base. If we utillited communication circuit properly, we could use sports information beneficently at the laboratory and office. In the future and now, one was that special sports institution needed to obtain Education about sports imformation such as information of specialization, and information of knowledge on both soft phase and hard phase of new media. Although korea used date base of foriegn country efficiently, korea had to make effort to create its own information system and wish to avoid friction of economy and fiction of information.

      • 철재 케비넷 안에서 RFID 태그 인식 연구

        철재형 케비넷 안에서의 리더기의 UHF RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) 다중 태그인식에 대해여 실험 연구를 하였다. 철재형 케비넷 안에서 철재 물건과 근접한 150~200여개의 태그가 리더에 인식 될 때, 철재형 케비넷의 많은 전자파 반사와 산란의 영향을 받아 인식률이 저조하게 된다. 또한 철제 물건의 옆에 또는 붙어있는 태그의 인식에는 여러 어려움들이 따른다. 이런 영향을 최소화 하면서 인식률을 최대로 하기위한 태그의 방향, 간격, 위치에 대하여 실험하여 문제점 개선안을 제시하였다. 철재 캐비넷 안에서의 리더의 음영 구역을 시험을 하였다. Recognizing UHF RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) tags with a reader in a metal cabinet has been studied. When 150~200 multiple UHF RFID tags are adjacent or nearly attached to metal objects, and are operated in a metal cabinet, the tags are hard to be recognized because of electromagnetic wave reflection, and deflection in the metal cabinet. There are also difficulties in reading tags attached and adjacent to metal objects. This paper defines the problems of reading tags in a metal cabinets and shows the solutions of reading the tags while there are reflection and deflection of electromagnetic wave. Depending on the direction, orientation, distance and location of tags, the reading rate is different. This paper also shows blackout region of inside of the metal cabinet, the posture of tag which cannot be read, and the minimum distance between the tags.

        For the power line communication, we studied its characteristic impedance, noise characteristics, loss characteristics and the coupling circuit between the communication MODEM and power lines. As the results of the experiments, we concluded that the power line impedance in a house varied in the wide range because the electric systems generate the current and voltage hamornic noises.

        Evaluating the effects of honey bee (Apis mellifera L.) venom on the expression of insulin sensitivity and inflammation-related genes in co-culture of adipocytes and macrophages

        Obese adipose tissue is characterized by adipocyte hypertrophy and a massive macrophage infiltration. The interaction between macrophages with mature adipocytes releases pro-inflammatory cytokines. This chronic inflammatory state can contribute to obesity-related complications, such as insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Therefore, we can attempt to prevent and treat obesity-related diseases by inhibiting macrophage infiltration and blocking their interaction with adipocytes. Honey bee (Apis mellifera) venom (BV) has been reported to have anti-inflammatory effects. Although BV is used to treat chronic inflammatory diseases, few studies have addressed its use in obesity-associated inflammation. This study examines the inhibitory effects of BV on lipid accumulation in differentiating preadipocytes, inflammation, and insulin resistance in macrophages and adipocyte-macrophage co-culture system. We treated 3 T3-L1 preadipocytes with BV during differentiation. We later measured lipid accumulation and gene expression of master adipogenic transcription factors. After RAW264.7 and 3 T3-L1 cells were pretreated with BV, RAW264.7 cells were activated with LPS or co-cultured with pretreated 3 T3-L1 cells. Gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines and insulin sensitizing genes was measured in these cells. BV inhibited lipid accumulation and C/EBPα and PPARγ gene expression during intermediate and late 3 T3-L1 cell differentiation. BV also suppressed gene expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines (COX-2, iNOS, MCP-1, TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6) in LPS-stimulated macrophages, and in co-culture of 3 T3-L1 adipocytes and RAW264.7 macrophages. However, adiponectin and GLUT-4 expression were both significantly increased by BV in co-culture. These findings demonstrate that BV attenuates adipocyte hypertrophy and improves obesity-related inflammation and insulin resistance in obese adipose tissue.

        Information has become a strategic tool with progress of sports science and sports technology. Demand on sports information is spreading to leisure, recreation, sociology, science of nutrition, psychology, sports medicine, sports therapy, prophylactic medicine, alternative medicine, sports industry and sports nature etc. if on line data base can be manipulated freely then acceleration and quality improvement of the study in this field can be effected and it is possible to gain new insight for receiving latest information But next problem is cost for use. For this reason this author summarized quick and effective on lline search points as follows: 1. Data base should be chosen with clear purpose for its use. Conduct prior investigation on contents and fee system of data base. With the same data base fee system may be differed depending on distributor therefore it is necessary to try different distributors at first as much as possible. 2. Prior to starting on line search prepare search method. If on line is started and then search method is checked than quickly telephone charge will go up. Search method should be prepared in advance by thinking sufficiently of what theme is to be searched. 3. Look for good advisor: lf there is no advisor nearby then the best thing is counselling with the person in charge for the distributor. If the result of search is stored at floppy disk by "downloading" then even after communication line is cut off it will be possible to print out anytime. 4. In this study the author explained about on-line search of lterature data line but recently it is possible to search overseas sports news or information on rate of victory or defeat of prfessional footbali etc. in real time. In Japan it is possible to search feature articles of Nihon Kesai or Asahi (except culture and sports column) by on-line. However in our country there are not many data bases in the field of sports and physical education which can be on-line searched. Our country belongs to up per level in the world in terms of study of sports science and technology and we are attracting attention from countries in Asia and from different parts of the world and the task facing us now is developing independent and unique data base for our country.

      • 제2분과 : 도시생태 ; 고속도로변 인공습지의 생물서식 특성 및 개선방안 연구 -경기도 지역 인공습지를 사례로-

        본 연구는 고속도로변에 조성된 인공습지의 생물서식특성을 조사하여 문제점을 도출하고 개선방안을 마련하였으며, 인공습지 조성방안을 제시하였다. 연구대상지는 영동고 속도로에 위치한 여주군 가남면 습지와 평택제천고속도로의 안성시 금광면 습지, 평택제천고속도로 대소분기점에 위치한 음성군 대소면 습지 등 3개소로 설정하였다. 대상지설치목적 및 개황, 동·식물 서식현황, 로드킬(Road-kill) 발생현황을 조사하였으며, 기상 및 기후, 수질과 토양특성 등 환경요인을 분석하였다. 현장조사는 봄, 여름, 가을에 걸쳐계절별로 총 3회 실시하였다. 여주군 가남면 습지는 산림계곡, 경작지에 위치하고 있으며, 생물서식 및 비점오염저감을 목적으로 조성되었다. 산림(59.6%)과 경작지(22.5%)가 가장 넓게 분포하였고, 습지내부는 습지자생초지(33.3%)에 갈대, 부들, 연꽃이 우점하고 있었다. 야생조류 12종 100개체와 고라니가 14개 지점에서 관찰되었고, 로드킬이 13건 발생하였으며, 참개구리 등 양서류 3종, 잠자리류 8종 143개체, 나비류 11종 32개체가 관찰되었다. 토양은 pH 7.24∼7.27로 약알칼리성이었고, 중금속이 미량 검출되었으며, 수질은 호소환경기준과 비교하여 약간 나쁜 상태이었다. 여주군 가남면 습지는 양서류산란 및 포유류 휴식처 기능을 하고 있었으며, 생물서식기능 향상을 위하여 적정 수위유지와 개방수면 확보, 비점오염물질 저감 및 고라니 로드킬 방지대책을 제안하였다. 안성시 금광면 습지는 산림계곡 상류에 위치하고 있으며, 양서류 대체서식지 및 비점오염저감을 위하여 조성되었다. 산림이 83.0%로 가장 넓게 분포하였고, 습지 내부는 습지자생초지 29.1%와 건조자생초지 25.7%가 분포하였으며, 달뿌리풀과 쑥이 우점하였다. 야생조류 10종 55개체와 고라니 및 너구리 등 포유류가 10개 지점에서 관찰되었고, 로드킬이 3건 발생하였다. 도룡뇽 등 양서류 5종과 파충류 3종, 잠자리류 12종 182개체, 나비류 13종 33개체가 관찰되었다. 토양은 pH 9.20∼9.25로 강알칼리성이었고, 중금속이미량 검출되었으며, 수질은 호소환경기준과 비교하여 좋은 상태이었다. 안성시 금광면 습지는 고라니, 도룡뇽, 한국산개구리 및 다양한 파충류가 출현하였고, 산지이동형 잠자리와 나비류가 서식하고 있는 것으로 조사되어 양서류 산란 및 포유류 휴식처, 파충류 먹이공급처 기능을 하고 있었다. 생물서식기능 향상을 위하여 포유류 및 양서류의 로드킬방지대책과 고속도로에서 유입되는 비점오염물질 저감 및 가뭄 시에 일정한 수심유지를 위한 대책을 제안하였다. 음성군 대소면 습지는 고속도로 분기점 녹지대 내부에 위치하고 있으며, 하천과 인접하고 주위에 논경작지가 넓게 분포하고 있었다. 습지 조성목적은 도로에서 유출되는 비점오염물질 저감 및 생물서식처 제공이었다. 경작지(53.60%) 및 하천, 습지(13.5%)가 가장 넓게 분포하였고, 습지 내부는 갈대가 우점하고 있었다. 야생조류는 19종 227개체가 주변논경작지와 하천에서 출현하였고, 삵, 수달 등 포유류가 6개지점에서 관찰되었다. 참개구리 14개체, 잠자리류 14종 141개체, 나비류 7종 44개체가 발견되었다. 토양은 pH 5.87∼5.96으로 중성, 중금속은 미량이 검출되었으며, 수질은 호소환경기준과 비교하여 매우 나쁜 상태이었다. 음성군 대소면 습지는 물새의 휴식처 및 삵과 수달의 먹이공급처 기능을 하고 있었으나, 수질이 매우 나쁘므로 생물서식기능을 위하여 비점오염물질 및 농경용수 정화를 제안하였다. 고속도로변 인공습지의 특성을 조사·분석하여 도로변에 인공습지를 조성 시 공간구성 및 고려사항을 제시하였다. 도로에서 유입되는 비점오염저감을 위한 시설은 배수면적을 고려하여 초기우수 5mm 처리가 가능하도록 적정규모로설치하여야 하며, 가능한 자연형 시설로 한다. 비점오염저감을 위해 정화습지를 조성할 경우에는 오염물질 정화효율이 높은 갈대, 줄, 애기부들, 미나리, 창포 등의 수생식물을 식재한다. 생물서식습지는 다양한 생물이 서식하도록 굴곡진 자연형태로 조성하여 호안의 길이를 가능한 길게 하는 것이 좋으며, 수면적은 최소 100㎡ 이상이 되도록 한다. 수심은 다양한 깊이로 조성하되 1m 이상인 곳을 일부 조성하고, 습지주변은 목표종의 서식에 적합한 다양한 환경을 조성한다. 오염물질 정화효율이 높은 수생식물을 식재하고, 자생종 및 정수식물, 침수식물, 부엽식물 등 다양한 생활형의 식물종.을 도입한다. 또한 수생식물의 식재면적은 수면적의 40%이하가 되도록 하고, 과도하게 번성하여 수면이 좁아지지않도록 포트식재 등의 조치가 필요하다. 습지에 서식하거나 이용하는 야생동물의 안전한 이동을 위하여 생태통로 및 야생동물유도울타리를 설치한다. 생태통로는 목표종 또는 출현종에 따라 유형 및 규모를 결정하고, 가능한 자연재료를 사용하여 동물에게 거부감이 없도록하여야 하며, 유도울타리는 양서·파충류를 보호하기 위한 조밀망이 포함된 울타리를 설치한다. 또한 고속도로에서 발생하는 소음, 불빛 차단을 위한 완충공간은 다층구조의 수림대를 조성하거나 자연재료를 이용한 차단벽 등을 설치하도록 제안하였다.

        정신분열병과 Glutathione S-Transferase M1유전자 다형성

        Objectives : This study aimed to test the possible association between Glutathione S-Transferase Ml gene (GSTMl) variants and schizophrenia. Methods : One hundred and eleven inpatients with schizophrenia and 130 healthy controls were recruited. Genotyping was performed by polymerase chain reaction-based method. Results : The GSTMl null genotype was significantly more frequent in patients with schizophrenia than in controls (p=0.014, odd ratio=1.93, 95% confidence interva1=1.115-3.351), while GSTMl genotype vahants were not associated with either tardive dyskinesia (TD) or total Abnormal Involuntary Movement Scale (AIMS) scores. Conclusion : The present study suggests that the GSTMl polymorphism may confer susceptibility to the development of schizophrenia but not to TD, at least in Korean population.

      • 스포츠 현장에서 사고 분쟁해결을 위한 법적 구조 및 그 효용성 분석

        1. The purpose of this study is to reflect reality of sports to legal structure. This author classified types of sports related accidents as match accidents, school accidents, leisure and living sports accidents. Out of such accidents common factors such as 'the provider of virtue' and 'user' could be deduced and this author reviewed what kinds of obligations must be shouldered by these people respectively. In particular this author stressed the fact that disproportionate emphasis is placed on malfeasance in disposition of dispute over the sports accidents. Malfeasance is a method for seeking relief through money after the accident. However default in an obligation enables supplementary completion when it is not performed or imperfectly performed. Thus if object which must be performed is providing safety then it is possible to secure safety prior to accident. Furthermore at such time mistake of the debtor can not become a factor. For this reason this line of thinking has the following merits: (1) In comparison with constitution of malfeasance default of an obligation has long prescription. It seems that such fact was a motivation for saving obligation for safety consideration by making it fall under the principle of faith. (2) Default of an obligation is not an obligation for ordinary attention which is cause of malfeasance but it takes up issue with obligation for attention required for performance. Game organization, sponsor and spectators etc. shares certain sense of identity and are demanded to have manners. As method for evaluation of such relationship of faith it may be possible to impose a special kind of obligation for attention and it will be close to constitution of default of an obligation. (3) Imposing obligation for provision clarifies that such responsibility belongs to game organizations promoting sports to which anyone can participates or to national or public organizations, sponsor, schools which induced such sports as a part of its educational programs, installer who made people use it as leisure facility or person in charge for its management. (4) It is also applicable to umpires, players or spectators who use field of sports. It is possible to reflect reality whereby these people specifically relate themselves to sports. In consequence it will be possible to make people feel the necessity of expanding the principals of sports from 'doers' to 'watchers.' (5) The obligation of provision is an obligation under the principle of faith therefore mutual negotiation may be expected to clarify such fact. It may be also evaluated by effectuation of users' self-determining right. 2. If the above mentioned structure is provided then, although it is limited to sports, students who are subjects of instruction, seminar attendants, and furthermore players who finished games may be obligated to bear responsibility for safety consideration under the principle of faith. Accordingly level of relief for considerable number of victims may be increased as cases of treating even borrowed materials as default of obligation being expanded. 3. As scope of responsibility becomes more clearer it will be possible to prevent disputes while securing more safety as rules and regulations become more clearly enacted or new contract is signed or existing contract is revised.

      • 청소년의 스마트폰 중독과 우울 및 불안과의 관계

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationships between the degree of smart phone addiction among adolescents and their depression and anxiety levels. Method: In this study, 379 high school students were selected using the convenient sampling method. The instruments used for this study were smart phone addiction measure, the CES-D (Center for Epidemiological Studies-Depression Scale), and the STAI (State-Trait Anxiety Inventory). Data were analyzed using the SPSS 20.0 program with descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA with Scheffe test, and Pearson’s correlation coefficient. Result: The mean score for smart phone addiction was 40.45±17.27, depression was 36.56±9.58, state anxiety was 44.00±9.61, and trait anxiety was 45.70±9.75. There were significant differences between the degree of smart phone addiction and the following variables: gender (t=-4.953, p<.001), hours of smart phone use per day (F=12.259, p<.001), types of frequently used features (F=3.485, p=.008), and satisfaction level for smart phone (F=5.18, p<.001). There were statistically significant relationships (p<.001) among degree of smart phone addiction, depression level, and state and trait anxiety levels. Conclusion: The results of this study suggested that there was a significant relationship between smart phone addiction and mental health, specifically, depression and anxiety among adolescents. Further research is needed to develop nursing strategies to provide care for adolescents who frequently utilize smart phones.
