Purpose : To evaluation of usefulness of low-intensity ultrasound for nonunion and delayed union. Materials and Methods : For 5 months, we treated 7 delayed union and 8 nonunion using low-intensity ultrasound. After 5 months, in checked X-ray AP and Lateral view, when cortical bridge formation was done, we through union. Results : In 7 delayed union, 5 cases-2 femur, tibia, humerus, radius were healed. In 8 nonunion, 3 femur nonunion were healed. Union rate was 71% in delayed union 37.5% in nonunion. Conclusion : we thought that the low-intensity ultrasound has capacity of induction of union and was considered as the method of treatment for delayed union.

Symbiotic evolutionary algorithms, also called cooperative coevolutionary algorithms, are stochastic search algorithms that imitate the biological coevolution process through symblotic interactions. In the algorithms, the fitness evaluation of an individual requires first selecting symblotic partners of the individual. Several partner selection strategies are provided. The goal of this study is to analyze how much partnering strategies can influence the performance of the algorithms. With two types of test-bed problems: the NKC model and the binary string covering problem, extensive experiments are carried out to compare the performance of partnering strategies, using the analysis of variance. The experimental results indicate that there does not exist statistically significant difference in their performance.

Five elements motion and six kinds of natural factors influence not only human disease but also difference of medicine effect. Because the climate of summer is very hot, that is easy to increase the properties of hot medicines, a doctor must be careful to use it in summer. Also the climate of winter is very cold, that is easy to increase the properties of cold medicines, a doctor must be careful to use it in winter. But in the certain conditions to use diaphoretics or purgatives, in spite of that regulation a doctor can use them.
한글ㆍ영문 겸용 Word Processor System 개발에 관한 연구
이상인,강석건,서창렬,신태민,박규태,여재준,장이한 연세대학교 산업기술연구소 1984 논문집 Vol.16 No.2
The design theory and implementation of a word processor system with more efficient processing of Korean and English text are studied. A screen editing method is implemented which is more flexible to handle the texts. Convinient control of the keyboards, cursors moving, texts editing, line marking and block operations are considered. The codes to avoid the complexity and inefficiency which are caused by difference of the code length between the Korean and English characters are reconstructed. File management systems and algorithms for executing the control commands are also studied. As a result, a successful word processor system is designed and implemental which performs a complete screen editing system. The performance of the system includes flexible cursor movement, margin setting, block operations of insertion, deletion and copying any sizes of the line and blocks; and also, the printout routines for size variation of the characters are worked out.

We have cloned the gene fur long QT syndrome in Korean genome and determined its detailed nucleotide sequence. Blood DNAs were isolated from 68 healthy individuals (including males and females) and the genomic DNAs were amplified by PCR method followed by automatic DNA sequencing. Entire sequence of the coding region for KCNEI was located in exon 3. PCR products were reexamined for the confirmation of KCNE1-specific amplification by nested PCR. KCNE1 mRNA was 436 bp. This corresponded to 129 amino acids. There was no recognizable difference between males and females. This study should contribute to the better understanding of long QT syndrome in Korean population.

We have identified and analyzed the 5'-coding region of SCN5A gene in Korean genome. Although its sequence has already been reported in western countries it si still important to confirm our own sequence for the establishment of Korean-suitable diagnosis on genetic basis. Total RNAs were obtained from three healthy Korean adult hearts and reversely transcribed. RT products were then subjected to PCR reaction followed by DNA sequencing. Three different sets of SCN5A primers were designed and used for the amplification of 5'-coding region of SCN5A from Korean genome. Amplified sequence was roughly one-10th of the entire SCN5A mRNA in size and its detailed sequnce was completely matched up to the previously reported sequence. There was no difference between three heart samples, eiher. So, SCN5A was concluded as the relatively stable gene comparing to other genes that are involved in long QT syndrome.
