        Apoptosis Progression in the Hair Cells in the Organ of Corti of GJB2 Conditional Knockout Mice

        Objectives. Apoptosis may play an important role in the mechanism underlying the GJB2 gene conditional knockout (cCx26) mice cochlear cell death. The objective of this study was to explore the the damage mode of the outer hair cells (OHCs) and its real time point of apoptosis and provide information to further explore the role of apoptosis in the happening of hearing loss in cCx26 mice. Methods. Cochleae from mice at various developmental stages (P8, P12, and P21) were dissected out and first used to be observed under the scanning electron microscope (SEM). Basilar membranes from mice at P8, P14, P18, and P21were stained by fluorescein isothiocyanate-conjugated phalloidin and propidium iodide (PI) and examined under confocal microscope. Results. The loss of OHCs of cCx26 knockout mice was first set between P12 and P21 under SEM. Whole mount phalloidin and PI staining revealed that obvious apoptotic appearance of the OHCs surface morphology was observed at P18. Conclusion. Typical apoptotic morphology was found in the OHCs in the organ of Corti of the cCx26 mice at P18. This may provide information to further study the role of apoptosis in the occurrence of hearing loss of cCx26 mice. Objectives.         Development of a 97.5-inch Super Hi-Vision 8K × 4K liquid crystal display panel

        A prototype 97.5-inch 8K×4K a-Si liquid crystal display (LCD) panel for Super Hi-Vision with ultra-high definition was successfully developed using the BOE exclusive advanced super-dimensional switching technology. This LCD has a panel with 7680(×3) by 4320 pixels, 16 times those of the conventional Full High Definition (FHD), and the pixel size of the panel is 0.2811mm (90.4 pixels per inch). The liquid crystal charging time was extended by quad area and double source line structure (also called “2G2D driving”). Additionally, a multi-functional image-processing video board was developed to compatibly realize the real-time display of huge image data from FHD to 8K. Furthermore, the reason for the arcing that occurred in half-tone source–drain mask etching was discussed and was ultimately solved by improving the exposure process. The demonstrated panel features a 1200:1 contrast ratio, 500 nit brightness, and 72% color gamut.

        Sludge deep dewatering enhanced by zero-valent iron/peroxymonosulfate/walnut shell powder

        To enhance sludge dewatering performance, Zero-valent iron/peroxymonosulfate/walnut shell powder was used to condition sludge at 55 °C and pH=3 (ZVI/PMS/WSP-T/pH), and the dewatering mechanism was also analyzed. The results showed that the capillary suction time (CST) and water content of sludge cake (Wc) were reduced to 6.8 s and 62.1%, respectively, and net sludge yield (YN) increased to 58.74kg/(m2·h) after being treated by ZVI/PMS/WSP-T/pH. The thermal and acid conditions could promote the corrosion of Fe2+ from ZVI and enhance PMS to produce more SO −· 4 and ·OH. The radicals combined with acid and thermal hydrolysis could efficiently reduce extracellular polymeric substances (EPS), especially tightly bound EPS (TB-EPS), destroy sludge floc and release bound water. The stripping off of EPS and neutralization of Fe3+, Fe2+ and H+ caused the zeta potential to increase to −0.91 mV The flocculation of cations and adsorption of WSP further increased the fractal dimension to 1.71. Moreover, the rigid and porosity structure of WSP increased sludge incompressibility and formed channels for water. Under the combined oxidation, acid/thermal hydrolysis, re-aggregation and skeleton builder functions, the sludge dewatering performance was greatly improved.

        Development of a 120 Hz 110 ultra-high-definition a-Si liquid crystal display panel

        A prototype 120 Hz 110-inch ultra-high-definition a-Si liquid crystal display (LCD) panel was successfully developed using the BOE exclusive advanced superdimensional switching technology. This LCD has a panel consisting of 3840 × 2160 pixels, four times the number of pixels in the conventional full-high-definition LCD. For the brightness and contrast ratio, 1000 nits and 1200:1 have been achieved, respectively. Additionally, the liquid crystal charging time has been extended through quad area driving and 2G2D line structures. Furthermore, the local dimming and mirror-scanning techniques are applied to realize excellent image display. Finally, the system utilizes 3D shutter glasses, allowing the viewer to achieve the highest sense of realness and immersion.

      • 一带一路背景下国际汉语教育中的成语难易梯度研究

        “일대일로” 이니셔티브가 지속적으로 발전하고 있으며 이로 인해 많은 외국인들이 중국어와 중국문화 대한 큰 관심을 가지고 있다. “일대일로” 배경하에 외국인을 대상으로 한 중국어교육(즉 대외중국어교육)이 활성화 되는 반면, 대외중국어 교육수준 재고를 위한 많은 연구가 필요하다. 특히 사자성어는 중국어 실력을 판단하는 하나의 중요한 측정도구이고 사자성어의 난이도를 측정할 수 있으면 중국어능력평가시 많은 도움을 줄 수 있다. 하지만 기존 연구는 대외중국어교육 중 사자성어의 난이도 측정에 대한 언급조차 없었다. 본 논문은 대외중국어교육시 가장 많이 쓰이는 대강(权威大纲) 5세트, 고급단계 종합교재(高级阶段综合教材) 4세트, 그리고 “국내외 대외중국어교재 데이터베이스(国内对外汉语教材语料库)”에서 나타난 사자성어를 CLL데이터베이스의 사자성어과 사용빈도(使用频次) 및 피복률(覆盖率)등 치수로 비교하였다. 그리고 HSK 동태작문데이터베이스 (动态作文语料库)의 편차률과 비교한 결과로 900개의 사자성어를 지정하였다. 이어서 이 900개 사자성어로 질과 양적인 연구를 통해 3가지 난이도로 구분하였다. 또한 이를 외국인 학생 대상으로 층별교습법(分层教学法, hierarchical teaching)을 통해 교습하여 실증연구하였다. 연구결과로 사자성어 난이도를 측정하여 층별 교습 시 효과가 더욱 좋다고 나타났고, 학생도 빠르게 사자성어를 습득할 수 있다는 결론도 도출하였다. The “Belt & Road initiative depicts a new blueprint for the world to seek common development. The construction of the Belt and Road has not only effectively promoted the Chinese language’s internationalization, but also put forward higher requirements for the international communication of Chinese. Language intercommunication is the premise of “five factors of connectivity”, namely policy communication, road connectivity, unimpeded trade, monetary circulation and understanding among people. How to provide language service in Chinese international education has become an important issue in academic circles. One important sign to measure the level of Chinese is the degree of mastery and use of idioms. Strengthening the teaching of Chinese idioms is an important part of enhancing Chinese international education. Idioms in Chinese international communication should and can be defined. However, for many years, there have been some problems in the teaching of idioms, such as lack of objectives, methods and standards. This paper, based on 5 sets of authoritative syllabus, 4 sets of advanced stage comprehensive textbooks and idioms in domestic Chinese teaching material corpus , compares the frequency and coverage of idioms used by native speakers in CLL corpus and the error rate of HSK dynamic composition corpus, and 900 idioms are determined to be the quantity range for foreign students to learn and master. Both qualitative and quantitative studies are conducted on these 900 idioms, which are ranked into three levels, namely easy, relatively difficult and the most difficult levels. Then an empirical study is conducted on the hierarchical teaching methods of idioms with different difficulty levels. The results show that the hierarchical teaching method can quickly improve the level of foreign students memory and the use of idioms, which thus effectively improves the effect of foreign students idiom acquisition.

        With current real economic growth of more than 10% per year, the Chinese energy consumption is rapidly increasing. Coal supply consists of the vast majority of China's total energy consumption requirements in 2008. China, the largest energy consumer, is expected to be heavily dependent on coal for future power generation, too (IEA,2009). A growing concern on global warming, on the other hand, drives Chinese government to declare her commitment to the reduction of co₂ emission by 2020. In this paper, China's energy market is examined for the current and future primary energy mix. Coal is found to be the biggest part accounting for 68.7% of total primary energy consumption while coal-fired power accounts for over 80% of the total power generation. The importance of Clean Coal Technology is being discussed based on the findings of the importance of coal in China's economy and its sustainable development. Among the technologies involved, a brief investigation of IGCC(Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle) technology with a review on current IGCC projects in China are provided from the perspective of environmental benefits. Studies on regional Chinese power market is also conducted. It is found that the regulated power tariff in electricity system makes the power suppliers suffer from financial loss and changes in the electricity price system is under serious consideration by Chinese government. Even though Chinese power market system causes difficulties of commercialization for IGCC technology, the potential benefits will be high due to China's huge requirements of power generating capacity and its heavy reliance on coal if the electricity price system can be changed smoothly.

        A Three-Vector-Based Model Predictive Flux Control for PMSM Drives

        The model predictive fl ux control (MPFC) strategy is an improved method for the weighting factor that is diffi cult to adjust in the traditional model predictive torque control (MPTC). By analyzing the relationship among torque, stator fl ux and load angle, the simultaneous control of torque and stator fl ux amplitude is converted into the control of equivalent references stator fl ux vector, which eliminates directly the weighting factor. However, MPFC also suff ers from high torque and fl ux ripples if only one voltage vector is applied during each control period. In order to solve this problem, a three-vector-based model predictive fl ux control strategy is proposed for permanent magnet synchronous motor in this paper. Three voltage vectors are applied in one control cycle to achieve good control performance of torque and fl ux, and the durations of three vectors are determined based on the principle of stator fl ux deadbeat control. The experimental results show that, compared with the model predictive fl ux control strategy and the optimal duty model predictive fl ux control strategy, the three-vector-based model predictive fl ux control strategy can eff ectively reduce the torque and fl ux ripples, improve the system’s steady-state performance.

        Characterization of porcine skeletal a-actin gene promoter: expression specificity and regulatory elements

        Identification of essential fragments in the promoter region of genes to drive tissue-specific expression of exogenous genes in the skeletal muscle is obligatory for animal transgenic study. The skeletal a-actin is a major protein of the thin filaments of skeletal muscle fiber. In this study, the specificity and activity of porcine skeletal aactin gene promoter were investigated by approaches of cell transfection and assayed with green fluorescent protein (GFP) and dual luciferase reporter activity, respectively. The results revealed that the obtained 3717 bp fragment of porcine skeletal a-actin gene promoter drives GFP to be expressed uniquely in murine C2C12 cells, and two segments of 2.0–2.3 and 0.06–0.37 kb in the promoter region were essential for porcine skeletal a-actin gene expression. The regulatory elements in the 0.06–0.37 kb fragment were further investigated, and when it is deleted or the CArG box within this fragment was mutated, the promoter activity was reduced to 20 or 43 % (P\0.01), respectively, compared to the 3.04 kb segment, suggesting an important role of CArG box in regulating porcine skeletal a-actin gene transcription. The results may provide reference for creating transgenic pigs to express exogenous genes uniquely in pork.

        Three-vector-based model predictive current control with disturbance feedforward compensation

        Finite control set model predictive current control (FCS-MPCC) has attracted the attention of a large number of researchers due to its intuitive idea, fast dynamic response and control objective flexibility. However, FCS-MPCC has a high steady-state current ripple. Three-vector-based model predictive current control (TV-MPCC) is an effective method to improve steady-state performance. However, it results in high motor parameter dependency. In this paper, the effect of motor parameters mismatch in FCS-MPCC has been analyzed. The control performance of FCS-MPCC is impacted when the motor parameters are mismatched. Then based on the disturbance estimation technique, a disturbance feedforward compensation based generalized proportional integral observer is used to reduce the disturbances and improves the robustness performance of the system. Experimental results show that the proposed method effectively improve the robustness of the system.
