Muguk gold deposits are composed of quartz veins emplaced along faults in Mesozoic granodiorite. General strikes and dips of the veins are $N15{\sim}20^{\circ}W$ and $70{\sim}80^{\circ}NE$. Associated ore minerals are pyrite, arsenopyrite, sphalerite, galena, chalcopyrite, pyrrhotite, native silver, argentite, tetrahedrite and electrum. Vein mineral paragenesis is complicated by repeated fracturing, but five distinct depositional stages can be recognized. Electrum grains are associated mainly with sulfide bands formed along both margins of pale pink quartz of stage 3, and with patches of pyrite aggregate of stage 4. Before the close down in 1972, Muguk gold mine yielded more than 8 tons of gold of which major portion was produced from the No.2 vein. No.2 vein, extending about 1,500m laterally, was exploited to a depth of about 750m. In 1984, Young-poong mining company acquired the mining property and began geologic mapping, geochemical and geophysical exploration, diamond drilling and exploration tunnelling around the mine area to seek for other rich gold-bearing quartz veins. As the Samhyungje vein was disclosed to be the most rich vein, exploration works were focussed on the Samhyungje vein. As of August 1987, 22,338m of diamond drilling and 9,652m of exploration tunnelling have been undertaken. Owing to the successful result of exploration, the Muguk mine commenced normal operation on January 1987, treating 5,500 tons of ore per month.

Automotive manufacturing is a complex task that requires the production and assembly of thousands of different components or parts. The engine and the transmission are the major components that constitute a power train system. Although manufacturing processes of an engine are similar, the layouts of the manufacturing lines are different from factory to factory. It is due to the different design concept that how to combine the serial and parallel structures. In this paper, three engine lines of different factories are introduced, and the simulation technology is used to make the performance analysis for different design concepts.

본 논문에서는 마르코프 연쇄로 모형을 이용하여 한국프로야구의 경기결과를 예측하고 분석하였다. 타자의 타격결과와 주자상태를 나타내는 확률과정을 구체적으로 정의하여 경기진행 상황을 동적으로 반영한 프로야구 경기를 마르코프 연쇄를 구성하여 실제 데이터를 바탕으로 주자 상태를 고려한 진루행렬과 각 선수별 타격 확률을 구하여 경기당 득점 분포와 타석에 서는 타자 수의 분포를 구하였다. We use a Markov chain model to analyze the Korean Baseball League. We derive the distributions of the number of runs scored and the number of batters that complete their turn at bat in a baseball game using the time inhomogeneous Markov chain. The model is tested with real data produced from the 2011 Korean Baseball League.

감독이 작전을 구사하는 상황이나 타자의 타격 가치를 평가하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있는 지표로서 미국프로야구에 대해서는 기대득점과 기대승리확률, 타격의 득점가치, 타격의 승리가치 등이 제시되었다. 기대득점은 각각의 아웃카운트와 주자 상황에서 그 이닝이 끝날 때까지 얻는 점수의 기댓값이다. 기대승리확률은 이닝, 점수차, 아웃카운트, 주자상태가 주어진 상태에서 경기를 계속 한다고 할 때, 공격하고 있는 팀이 승리할 확률이다. 타격의 득점가치는 타격전 상황의 기대득점과 타격결과에 의하여 변화된 상황의 기대득점 사이의 차이를 말한다. 타격의 승리가치는 타격 전후 상황의 기대승리확률간의 차이로서 타격 결과가 승리에 미치는 영향을 나타낸다. 한국프로야구에서는 장기간 축적된 자료의 부족으로 총 발생횟수에 대한 특정 상황의 상대돗수를 이용하여 구한 이들 지표가 통계적인 의미를 갖지 못하는 경우가 종종 나타난다. 이와 같은 문제점을 극복하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 마르코프연쇄를 이용하여 한국프로야구에서 기대득점, 기대승리확률, 득점가치와 승리가치를 구하는 방법을 제시한다. Run expectancy (RE) is the mean number of runs scored from a specific base runner/outs situation of an inning to the end of the inning. Win expectancy (WE) is the probability that a particular team will win the game at a specific game state such as half-inning, score difference, outs, and/or runners on base. In this paper, we derive RE and WE for the Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) League based on six-year data from 2007 to 2012 using a Markov chain model.

이 논문에서는 철도차량 의장공장에서 적용되는 두 종류의 배치안 개념에 대한 논의하고자 한다. 현재 시스템은 전통적인 흐름라인 방식에 따라 조립라인이 설계되어 있지만 새로운 시스템은 고정위치형 배치방식을 따르고자 한다. 시스템에 영향을 주는 요소로는 공정시간의 변동성, 결품률 및 결품시간의 분포를 고려하였다. 시뮬레이션 실험결과 해당시스템의 경우 생산량, 차량당 평균 체류시간, 편성당 평균 체류시간 모두 고정위치형 배치방식을 사용하는 것이 좋다는 결론을 얻었다. 또한 시스템의 고정위치형 방식이 흐름라인 방식에 비해 변화에 둔감하게 반응함으로써 강건성 측면에서도 우수하다는 결론을 얻었다. In this paper we will discuss two different layout concepts which can be applied to rail-vehicle assembly factory. The existing system is based on the traditional flow line, and the suggested system is based on the fixed position layout. The main factors which affect on the system performances are the variation of process time, shortage rate of part and the shortage period. Simulation experiments indicate that the fixed position layout is better with respect to the throughput, mean flow time per vehicle and the mean flow time per fleet. Furthermore, the fixed position layout is more robust than the flow line because performance measures are insensitive to the variations of factors.
