        Research Progress of the Structure Vibration-Attitude Coordinated Control of Spacecraft

        This paper gives an overview of research on the field of structure vibration-attitude coordinated control of spacecraft. First of all, the importance of the technology has been given an introduction, and then later the research progress of space structure dynamics modeling, research progress of structure vibration-attitude coordinated control of flexible spacecraft have been discussed respectively. Finally, future research on application of structure vibration-attitude coordinated control of spacecraft has been recommended.

        Modified Ginseng Extract Induces Apoptosis in HepG2 Cancer Cells by Blocking the CXCL8-Mediated Akt/Nuclear Factor- <tex> $ \kappa $</tex> B Signaling Pathway

        <P>The cytokine C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 8 (CXCL8) is produced in the tumor microenvironment and has an important role in cancer pathogenesis. CXCL8 activates the nuclear factor (NF)-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B signaling. However, the role of NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B inactivation in apoptosis induced by negative regulation of CXCL8 remains unclear. Here, we assessed the effects of MRGX on the transcriptional activity of NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B and the expression of tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-<TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX>-stimulated target genes in liver cancer cells. Furthermore, we found that modified regular ginseng extract (MRGX)-mediated inhibition of NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B signaling induced apoptosis. Importantly, MRGX exerted strong activity, inhibiting TNF-<TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX>-induced expression of Akt and NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B in a concentration-dependent manner. Furthermore, MRGX inhibited the TNF-<TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX>-induced expression of genes encoding CXCL8, CXCL1, inducible nitric oxide synthase and intercellular adhesion molecule 1. MRGX also dowregulated Akt activation, and there was a significant decrease in Akt activation in HepG2 cells treated with CXCL8 siRNA. Conversely, CXCL8 overexpression increased Akt activation in MRGX-treated HepG2 cells. When Akt was silenced, MRGX treatment of HepG2 cells overexpressing CXCL8 decreased nuclear translocation of NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B, whereas Akt overexpression increased nuclear translocation of NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B in MRGX-treated HepG2 cells. Moreover, MRGX negatively regulated the TNF-<TEX>$ \alpha $</TEX>-mediated I<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B/NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B pathway to promote Bax activation, resulting in caspase-3 activation and apoptosis. Taken together, these results indicated that MRGX inhibited CXCL8-mediated Akt/NF-<TEX>$ \kappa $</TEX>B signaling, which upregulated Bax activation and consequently induced apoptosis in HepG2 cells.</P>

        Lung-specific delivery of paclitaxel by chitosan-modified PLGA nanoparticles via transient formation of microaggregates

        <P>Chitosan-modified paclitaxel-loaded poly lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) nanoparticles with a mean diameter of 200–300 nm in distilled water were prepared by a solvent evaporation method. The mean diameter increased dramatically in contact with the mouse (CDF<SUB>1</SUB>) plasma, as a function of chitosan concentration in the modification solution (e.g., 2670.5 nm for 0.7% chitosan-modified nanoparticles, NP<SUB>3</SUB>), but reverted to almost its original size (i.e., 350.7 nm for NP<SUB>3</SUB>) following 5 min of gentle agitation. The zeta potential of PLGA nanoparticles was changed to positive by the chitosan modification. The in vitro uptake into, and cytotoxicity of the nanoparticles against, a lung cancer cell line (A549) were significantly increased by the modification. Most importantly, a lung-specific increase in the distribution index of paclitaxel (i.e., AUC<SUB>lung</SUB>/AUC<SUB>plasma</SUB>) was observed for chitosan-modified nanoparticles (e.g., 99.9 for NP<SUB>3</SUB> vs. 5.4 for Taxol™) when nanoparticles were administered to lung-metastasized mice via the tail vein at a paclitaxel dose of 10 mg/kg. Transient formation of aggregates in the blood stream followed by enhanced trapping in the lung capillaries, and electrical interaction-mediated enhanced uptake across the endothelial cells of the lung tumor capillary appear to be responsible for the lung-tumor-specific distribution of the chitosan modified nanoparticles. © 2008 Wiley-Liss, Inc. and the American Pharmacists Association J Pharm Sci 98:970–984, 2009</P>

        Variation and Correlation of Shearing Force with Feed Nutritional Characteristics of Wheat Straw

        This experiment was conducted to study the variation laws and correlations of shearing force and feed characteristics including morphological characteristic, chemical composition and in situ degradability of wheat straw. Feasibility of evaluating the nutritional value of wheat straws with shearing force values was analyzed in this study. Six hundred wheat straw plants (Jimai 22) were randomly selected and placed in a cool and ventilated place. Samples were collected in the 1st, 15th, 30th, 45th, 60th d after harvest to measure shearing force, morphological characteristic, nutritional composition. Rumen degradation of dry matter (DM), neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and acid detergent fiber (ADF) of wheat straws were determined by the nylon bags method. The results demonstrated that linear and quadratic effects of storage time on all the tested morphological characteristics were significantly correlative (p<0.01). As storage time goes on, all the tested nutrients and their rumen degradations of wheat straw was linearly (p<0.01) and quadratic (p<0.01) correlative except ADF content and rumen degradation of ADF. Significant correlations were determined in linear effect of shearing force on morphological characteristics (p<0.01), and linear density and diameter were a more sensitive predictor than stem thickness for shearing force. There were strong correlations between storage time and all the measured physical characteristics (shearing force, morphological characteristics and shearing force standardized by morphological characteristics) (p<0.01). Nutrition compositions were linearly correlative with shearing force and standardized shearing force (p<0.01). The linear correlation between rumen degradation of DM and NDF and shearing force and standardized shearing force were evident (p<0.01). In conclusion, shearing force, nutrition compositions and their rumen degradation of wheat straw were still dynamic with storage time after harvest. Correlation could be found between shearing force and nutritional characteristics of wheat straw. Nutrient content, morphological index and rumen degradation of DM and NDF could be predicted by changes in shearing force. Shearing force should be applied according to a standardized storage time when it is used to forecast the feed value of wheat straws.

        Eu3+ emission in SrAl2B2O7 based phosphors

        Eu3+ doped SrAl2B2O7 phosphors were fabricated by the wet method. The structures of the phosphors were characterized by XRD. The doping content of Eu3+ ions in SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ phosphors are 1%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10% (molar fraction), respectively. Luminescence properties were analyzed by measuring the excitation and photoluminescence spectra. The luminescent properties of SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ phosphors are discussed. It is shown that from 4% to 6% of doping content of Eu3+ ions under 392 nm excitation in SrAl2B2O7:Eu3+ phosphors is optimum.

      • Biotoxins for Cancer Therapy

        In recent times, a number of studies have provided evidence that biotoxins present great potential as antitumor agents, such as snake venom, bee venom, some bacteria toxins and plant toxins, and thus could be used as chemotherapeutic agents against tumors. The biodiversity of venoms and toxins make them a unique source from which novel anticancer agent may be developed. Biotoxins, also known as natural toxins, include toxic substances produced by plants, animals and microorganisms. Here, we systematically list representative biological toxins that have antitumor properties, involving animal toxins, plant toxins, mycotoxins as well as bacterial toxins. In this review, we summarize the current knowledge involving biotoxins and the active compounds that have anti-cancer activity to induce cytotoxic, antitumor, immunomodulatory, and apoptotic effects in different tumor cells in vivo or in vitro. We also show insights into the molecular and functional evolution of biotoxins.

      • 찰벼의 다양한 종류의 공존으로 본 황강 동족의 쌀문화가 지닌 생태적 가치

        동족( 族)은 중국 백월(百越)족 계통의 중요 구성원으로서 반세기 이전부터 찹쌀을 주식으로 삼아왔다. 찰벼의 생산량이 적기 때문에 이후 경제 발전 과정 중에``찹쌀을 인디카계 쌀로``, 또는``인디카계 쌀을 잡곡으로``변화시키는 등의 운동을 거쳐, 이 지역의 주민들은 전통적인 찰벼 경작을 포기하도록 압박을 받았다. 이제는 단지 오지의 동족 마을에서만 찰벼 재배의 전통적인 방식이 남아 있는데, 귀주성( 州省) 리핑현(黎平) 슈앙장현( 江) 황강촌( 村)이 그 한 예이다. 황강촌 주민의 전통적 찰벼 재배 방식의 체계적인 조사를 통하여, 그와 유사한 생활 방식이 현지에서 높은 수준의 다품종 쌀 재배 방식을 만들어 냈을 뿐만 아니라, 중요한 생태적 가치를 지니고 있다는 점도 발견하게 되었다. 그러므로 동족이 지닌 전통 문화의 생태가치에 대한 올바른 인식을 통해, 자연과 인간의 조화로운 관계를 정립하는 과정에서 그것을 제대로 이용할 수 있을 것이다. Dong is an important member of Baiyue system, which has been eating glutinous rice in half a century ago. Glutinous rice cultivation due to low output, which in the subsequent course of economic development, through the "glutinous rice to indica type rice", "indica type rice to miscellaneous", the residents of these areas were forced to abandon the traditional glutinous rice cultivation. The traditional livelihood of glutinous rice cultivation methods only exist in extremely remote Dong village, Liping County of Guizhou Province Huang Shuangjiang Village Township is an example. After the systematic investigation of glutinous rice cultivation in the traditional way of livelihood of the residents, we found a similar traditional livelihood in the local levels not only higher than the output of the integrated hybrid rice species, but also have important ecological value. Therefore, we need to understand the traditional livelihoods of the ecological value; it will build a harmonious relationship between people and land play a significant role in the process.
