        인체기생 열두조충류의 형태비교 및 진단적 소견

        최근 우리 나라는 열두조충과 (Diphyllobothridae)에 속하는 조충류의 인체 감염예가 빈번하게 보고되고 있다. 이는 본 조충류의 감염매체인 어류를 날 것으로 생식할 기회가 많으며, 또한 본 조충류의 제1중간숙주인 물벼룩이 음료수를 통한 인체 감염이 원인일 것으로 추정되고 있다. 조충류의 진단은 충체에 있어 두적과 편절의 형태학적 특징을 감별하여 種의 분류와 진단을 하는 것이 기본적 순서가 될 것이나, 1차적으로 가능한 진단은 환자의 증상 참작과 분변으로부터 충란을 발견 감별하게 된다. 특히 광절열두조충류의 충란에 의한 種鑑別은 환자로부터 편절이나 충체의 확실한 감별을 위한 사전 정보를 가늠하는 뜻에서도 중요성이 있다. 이에 저자들은 환자의 치료와 함께 수집된 Diphyllobothrium latum, D. latum parvum 그리고 Spirometra erinacei의 편절과 충란을 재료로 형태 및 진단적 결과를 분석한 바 그 성적은 다음과 같다. 1. 환자의 분변에서 수집된 충란 50개씩을 각각 선택하여 형태와 크기에 대한 계측을 실시하였다. D. latum의 충란은 난개가 있고 난원형 또는 타원형의 모양으로 관찰되었으며 D. latum parvum은 D. latum에 비하여 더 난원형이면서 작게 관찰되었다. S. erinacei의 충란은 폭이 비대칭적이며 길쭉한 모양으로 관찰되었다. 2. D. latum, D. latum parvum 그리고 S. erinacei의 충란의 크기에서 충란의 평균 길이와 폭은 각각 61.4X41.7㎛, 55.9X41.4㎛ 그리고 66.7X36.4㎛이었다. 3. 각 조충의 편절을 고정한 다음, 첫째 포매하고 microtome으로 절편을 만들어 hematoxylin-eosin 염색을 실시하였고, 둘째 고정과 함께 semicon's aceto-carmine 염색표본을 작성하여 현미경 관찰을 한 결과 D. latum과 D. latum parvum은 생식선이 편절의 중앙선상에 위치하고 개구된 자궁구가 관찰되었다. 그리고 편절의 양측에 난황이 follicle로 관찰되었으며 전형적인 rosette모양을 형성하고 있었다. 그러나 D. latum parvum은 D. latum에 비하여 아주 작은 크기로 관찰되었다. S. erinacei의 편절은 자궁이 나선형으로 5∼7회 이상으로 말려서 관찰되었고 음경낭안에서 저정낭이 이어져 연결되고 있었다. 이로써 본 연구에서는 편절의 형태특징과 함께 충란 크기에 대한 계측과 분석을 하고자 하였으며, 공학현미경에 의한 계측치로 세 종류의 조충 감별에 유의한 참고치를 제기하는 바이다. Recently there have been frequent reports on human infection caused by the Diphyllobothridae in Korea. The adequate opportunities for Koreans to eat raw fish, the primary infection medium of cestodes and the human infection through drinking water by cyclops, the first intermediate host are believed to be main reasons for the infection. The first task of this study was to classify and diagnose the species by differentiating morphological characteristic between scolex and proglottids of cestodes. However, the initially available diagnosis was done with the patient's symptoms and the eggs obtained from his stool. It is important to differentiate the species by the eggs of Diphyllobothrium latum especially in that it can help get advance information for a more reliable analysis in the near future. The morphological and diagnostic results from proglottids and eggs of Diphyllobothrium latum, Diphyllobothrium latum parvum and Spirometra erinacei are as follows; In each kind of cestodes from the patient's stool, the shape and size of 50 eggs were measured. Eggs of Diphyllobothrium latum had an operculum and were ovoidal or ellipsoid to elliptical in shape. Eggs of Diphyllobothrium latum parvum were more ovoidal in shape and smaller in size than Diphyllobothrium latum. And eggs of Spirometra erinacei were asymmetrical in width and long and slender in shape. The average lengths and widths of Diphyllobothrium latum, Diphyllobothrium latum parvum and Spirometra erinacei were 61.4X41.7㎛, 55.9X41.4㎛ and 66.7X36.4㎛, respectively. After the segments of each cestode were fixed, embedding and hematoxylin-eosin dyeing on a microtome-made specimen were done. The micrographs of the semicon's aceto-carmine dyed specimen showed that Diphyllobothrium latum and Diphyllobothrium latum parvum had a centrally-located genital gland and an opened uterine pore. The yolks were observed on both sides of proglottids and had a typical rosette pattern. Yet, Diphyllobothrium latum parvum was shown smaller than Diphyllobothrium latum in the micrograph. Proglottids of Spirometra erinacei displayed that the uterus was rolled spirally more than five to seven times, and connected successively to the seminal vesicle in the cirrus sac. Shown above, this study was performed to measure the size of eggs and analyze the morphological characteristics of proglottids and provided the measurements of three types of cestodes obtained by a light microscope.

      • 음파에 의한 게의 추음성에 관한 연구

        남해 및 부산 해변에 서식하고 있는 게{사각게:Sesarma(Parasesarma)picta(de Haan), 두이빨 사각게:Sesar-ma(Chromantes) bidens (de Haan), 엽낭게:Scopimera globosa de Haan}의 추음성(趨音性)을 조사하여 본 결과 (1) 700∼900 C.P.S.의 음파를 보냈을 때 추음성의 효과가 가장 좋다. (2) 보호색을 띄고 있으며 항상 은신하는 습성이 있어 추음할 때도 역시 은신의 기회를 노린다. (3) 추음 속도는 추음 효과가 가장 좋을 때 1cm/sec 정도이다. 가을 밤에 해변에 기어 오르는 큰 게에 대한 추음성의 frequency 측정은 앞으로 시도될 것이고, 각종 고기에 대한 추음성과 배음성(背音性)의 주파수에 관한 연구는 앞으로 어업에 큰 역할을 할 것으로 간주된다. The idea of luring numerous crabs by using underwater acoustical equipment was conceived on the theoretical thought that if numerous crabs could be lured to a location and driven into the fishing net, the fishing efficiency could be increased by many folds. It has been found by analysing the data of frequency that an under water acoustical equipment with frequency response of 700-900 cycles per second. It was noted during these experiments that numerous crabs gathered around the under water acoustical equipment.

        Recently Vehicle’s black box for accident analysis is mainly based on the camera that images are stored. However the issues such as sudden unintended acceleration type are insufficient for analysis. Because of the information collected by various sensors on the basis of analysis will be available is a vehicle accident. This paper will show how to build a system get the basic information to monitor and collect data for the analysis of vehicle accidents caused by internal defects.

        In this paper, We research into the way of improving electronic vehicle’s dynamic safety. We expect the performance of four wheel driven independent electronic vehicle. Because of the possibility that can be controlled the motor independently. So the vehicle controlled of the motor independently can distribute torque convenient to more than conventional vehicles. Our aim is a development the control algorithm about vehicle dynamic control system for four wheel driven electronic vehicle. And we develop the control algorithm for safe driving under any environment. We use Simulink and Carsim for development the control algorithm and simulation the system. We simulate the vehicle system under slalom course with low mu surface. And we decision the system’s suitability with vehicle’s behavior.

        Effect of Korean Red Ginseng treatment on the gene expression profile of diabetic rat retina

        Background: Korean Red Ginseng (KRG) is a herbal medicine used in Asian countries and is very popular for its beneficial biological properties. Diabetes mellitus (DM) and its complications are rapidly becoming a global public health concern. The literature on transcriptional changes induced by KRG in rat models of diabetic retinopathy is limited. Considering these facts, we designed this study to determine whether retinopathy-associated genes are altered in retinas of rats with DM and whether the induced changes are reversed by KRG. Methods: Male Sprague-Dawley rats were intravenously injected with streptozotocin (50 mg/kg body weight) to induce DM, following which, KRG powder (200 mg/kg body weight) was orally administered to the KRG-treated DM rat group for 10 wks. The rats were then sacrificed, and their retinas were harvested for total RNA extraction. Microarray gene expression profiling was performed on the extracted RNA samples. Results: From among > 31,000 genes investigated, the expression of 268 genes was observed to be upregulated and that of 58 genes was downregulated, with twofold altered expression levels in the DM group compared with those in the control group. Moreover, 39 genes were upregulated more than twofold and 84 genes were downregulated in the KRG-treated group compared to the DM group. The expression of the genes was significantly reversed by KRG treatment; some of these genes were analyzed further to verify the results of the microarray experiments. Conclusion: Taken together, our data suggest that reversed changes in the gene expression may mediate alleviating activities of KRG in rats with diabetic retinopathy.

      • A Role of Unsaturated Fatty Acid in Animal Reproductive Cells and Biology

        As a one of unsaturated fatty acid, polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) have multiple actions: as precursor of prostaglandins (PGs), steroid hormone synthesis and energy production in animal reproduction. PUFAs, which include omega-3 (n-3) and omega-6 (n-6), are derived from the diet and changed by diet, species, breed and season. The plasma membrane of spermatozoa in mammals contain various PUFAs. These composition of PUFAs regulate the membrane fluidity and cause lipid peroxidation via generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Induced lipid peroxidation by ROS decreased viability and motility of spermatozoa, and it is reduced by addition of antioxidant and low concentration of PUFAs. Because oocytes of animal have a high lipid components, process of oocyte maturation and embryo development are influenced by PUFAs. In in vitro study, oocyte maturation, embryo development, intracellular cAMP and MAPK activity were increased by treatment of n-3 α-linolenic acid (ALA) during maturation, whereas n-6 linoleic acid (LA) negatively influenced. Also, inhibition of fatty acid metabolism in oocyte influenced blastocyst formation of cattle. PGs are synthesized from PUFAs and various PUFAs influence PGs via regulation of PG-endoperoxide synthase (PTGS). Steroid hormone synthesis from cholesterol is regulated by expression of steroid acute regulator (StAR) protein and mRNA. Exogenous n-3 and n-6 PUFAs altered sex hormone in animal through stimulate or inhibit StAR activity. Because PUFAs altered PG and steroid hormone synthesis, follicular development was influenced by PUFAs. This effect of unsaturated fatty acid could provide information for improvement of reproductive ability in animals.

      • 肝吸蟲 感染家兎에 있어서 感染强度, 經過 및 治療에 따른 ELISA抗體價의 變動에 관한 實驗的 硏究

        Human clonorchiasis is one of the most common trmatode diseases and of very important pubic health problems in Korea. In the present study, the changing patterns of specific IgG antibody was demonstrated by the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in the sera rabbits infected with clonorchis sinensis. The O.D> (optical density) values of the ELISA in the sera were merwured according to intensity and course of infections and tendency of decrease after chemotherapy. The ELISA was performed with veronal buffered saline antigen of clonorchis, peroxidase conjugated antirabbit IgG and ortho- phenylendiamine as a substrate by micro method. In the 3 groups of rabbits infected with 50(A group), 500(B group) or 100×5(C group) metacercariae, the sera were prepared biweekly up to 18th week before chemotherapy, and biweekly up to 24th week after chemotherapy. The results were as follows: 1. O.D. values increased gradually with lapse of time before treatment. The O.D. values indicated firstly 1.000 or more in 8 weeks after infection in A group and 4 weeks after infection in both B and C groups. The O.D. values reached plateau at 10 weeks after infection in A group and 8 weeks after infection in both B and C groups. Regression equations between the O.D. values of the ELISA and period(week) after infection among 2 groups were as fllows, y=0.09x+0.319 in A group y=0.08x+ 0.826 in B group and y=0.08x+0.807 in C group. 2. The O.D. values in A group which had been treated decreased gradually and became preinfection level at 24 weeks after chemotherapy. On the contrary the O.D. values in A group which has not been treated showde plateau. The O.D. values in both B and C groups which had been cured decreased gradually and became preinfection level at 24 weeks after chemotherapy.

        Influence of ionic radius of alkaline-earth metals in ion conducting 2(Ca, Sr, Ba)O2TiO<sub>2</sub> SiO<sub>2</sub> glasses

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We have studied the relationship between ionic conductivity and the ionic radius of A site in 2AO2TiO<SUB>2</SUB> SiO<SUB>2</SUB> (ATSO; ACa, Sr and Ba) glasses. Electrical measurements were carried out in the frequency range 100 Hz ~ 30 MHz and temperature range 300–540 °C. Raman spectroscopy and differential thermal analysis measurements were also performed. The exponents of the Cole-Cole plot, power-law conductivity and modulus formalisms reveal the nature of ionic transport and the conductivity relaxation. Raman spectroscopic data of ATSO glasses clarify the modification of vibrational networks of silicate and titanate complexes by alkaline-earth metals (Ca, Sr and Ba). The ratio of non-bridging oxygens per tetrahedrally coordinated cations (NBO/T) in the 2CaO and 2SrO2TiO<SUB>2</SUB> SiO<SUB>2</SUB> glasses decreases rapidly, suggesting polymerization of the silicate and titanate networks. The disorder of the glass matrix in 2BaO2TiO<SUB>2</SUB> SiO<SUB>2</SUB> glass is greatly reduced with increasing non-bridging oxygens per NBO/T and decreasing interionic Coulomb interactions. The conduction mechanisms of <I>dc</I> and <I>ac</I> for all ATSO glasses are the same but the ions hop through a different fractal structured conduction pathway. The dimension of ionic conduction pathway decreases with increasing ionic radius of alkaline-earth metals in ATSO glasses.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> Coulomb interaction increases with decreasing ionic radius of alkaline element. </LI> <LI> Modification of vibrational networks depends on the species of Ca, Sr and Ba. </LI> <LI> Disorder of the glass matrix in BTSO glass is greatly reduced with increasing NBO/T. </LI> <LI> Temperature dependent <I>ac</I> and <I>dc</I> conductivities follow the same activated process. </LI> <LI> Structural conduction pathways are different for each CTSO, STSO and BTSO glass. </LI> </UL> </P>
