      • Clinical Comparison between Paclitaxel Liposome (Lipusu<sup>®</sup>) and Paclitaxel for Treatment of Patients with Metastatic Gastric Cancer

        Aim: To compare the efficacy and safety of paclitaxel liposome (Lipusu$^{(R)}$) with paclitaxel in combination with tegafur and oxaliplatin in treating patients with advanced gastric cancer. Materials and Methods: Patients with advanced gastric cancer receiving chemotherapy were retrospectively collected, and divided into two groups. Patients in group A received paclitaxel liposomes at a dose of 135 $mg/m^2$ on day 1 of each cycle, and patients in group B were given paclitaxel at the same dose with the same timing. All patients received tegafur at a dose of 500 $mg/m^2$ on days 1-5, and oxaliplatin at a dose of 80-100 $mg/m^2$ on day 1 for 2 cycles (each cycle was 21 d in total). Results: Fifty-eight patients could be evaluated for efficacy. The overall response rate was 47% in group A (14/30), and 46% in group B (13/28). Disease control rate was 73% in group A (22/30), and 71% in group B (20/28) (P>0.05). No significant differences were detected in hematologic and neurologic toxicities between the two groups (P>0.05). However, nausea, vomiting and hypersensitive reactions were significantly lower in group A than in group B (P<0.05). Conclusion: Paclitaxel liposomes are as effective as paclitaxel when combined with tegafur and oxaliplation in treating patients with advanced gastric cancer, but adverse reactions with paclitaxel liposomes are less common.

        Study on Mechanical Properties Modification of Styrene Butadiene Rubber Composites Filling with Graphene and Molybdenum Disulfide

        Styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) composites, incorporated with graphene, molybdenum disulfide and their hybrid in different filling ratio, were fabricated by a two roll-mill. The dispersion states of all the samples' matrix were employed by carbon black dispersion tester. The curing properties of the pre-vulcanized rubber composites were investigated, after molding by heating press machine, the tensile strength, storage modulus, friction coefficient, the swelling property had also been tested according to ASTM. The composite G1M10 (filling with 1 phr graphene and 10 phr molybdenum) showed the best mechanical properties and viscoelastic properties in this research with a better filler dispersion state and more compact matrix structure.

        본 논문은 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 운동학적 탄성동역학 해석을 위한 새로운 방법을 제시한다. 분산 매개변수 방법에 기초하여 유연한 링크를 갖는 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 일반적인 운동 방정식을 유도하였다. 운동방정식의 결과식은 비선형 강체와 탄성운동 커플링 항을 갖는 일반 복합탄성 매니퓰레이터를 모델링하는 데 사용되어질 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안된 방법은 계산적으로 효과적이며 로봇 매니퓰레이터 및 공간메커니즘의 유연성 해석에 이용될 수 있다.

        Study on Improvement of Properties for Epoxidized Natural Rubber by Addition of Starch and Molybdenum Disulfide

        Epoxidized natural rubber(ENR)에 전분과 이황화몰리브덴이 다양한 비율로 혼합되었다. 제조된 복합체의 경화 물성과 동적점탄성은 고무 가공 분석기로 측정되었고, 시료의 형태학적 구조는 SEM으로 확인되었다. 기계적 물성, 열분해성, 인장강도, 경도, 마찰계수, 내마모성, 팽윤율도 물성 향상을 확인하기 위하여 조사되었다. 모든 실험결과에서, 충전제-충전제 상호작용은 전분 함량이 증가함에 따라 향상되었음을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 기계적 물성도 따라 향상되었다. 그 원인은 전분과 ENR 고무 사이에 수소 결합이라는 더 나은 결합의 형성이었다. 또한 이황화몰리브덴의 첨가에 따라, 고무복합에의 윤활성이 증가되어 마찰계수와 내마모성이 개선됨을 알 수 있었다. Epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) was filled with starch and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) on different ratios. The curing properties and viscoelastic behavior of the composites was tested by rubber processing analyzer, and the morphological structure of the composites samples were characterized by SEM. The mechanical properties, the thermal decomposition behavior, tensile strength, hardness value, friction coefficient, abrasion resistance and swelling ratio were investigated to verify the property improvement of the ENR composites. From the results of all the tests, it can be found that the intermolecular interaction increased with increasing starch content. And the mechanical properties also increased. The possible reason may be the starch could provide the better combination with ENR rubber matrix due to the hydrogen bonding. And with the addition of molybdenum disulfide, the friction coefficient and abrasion resistance properties were improved due to the lubrication of molybdenum disulfide.

        Study on the structure of reduced graphene oxide prepared by different reduction methods

        The reduced graphene oxide (rGO) has attracted more and more attention in recent years. How to choose a suitable reduction method to prepare rGO is a critical problem in the preparation of graphene composites. In this work, the differences of rGO reduced by thermal, microwave, Ultraviolet (UV) and reducing agent were studied. The reduction degree and functional groups of rGO were compared by SEM, XPS, Raman, FTIR and TGA. Thermal can remove most of the oxygen-containing groups of graphene oxide (GO) and the thermal reduction is the most effective reduction method. UV light can directly act on the unstable oxygen-containing groups, and its reduction efficiency is second only to thermal reduction. The efficiency of chemical reduction is not as good as that of UV reduction, because the reducing agent only act on the surface of GO. Microwave reduction is a mild thermal reduction with the lowest efficiency, but the residual oxygen-containing groups increase the hydrophilicity of rGO. To sum up, this work studies that rGO prepared by different reduction methods has different characteristics, which provides a reference for selecting appropriate reduction methods to prepare graphene composites with better properties.

        이 논문은 Luh의 연구[5]에 기초한 로봇의 CP(Continuous Path) 운동 궤적계획에 대한 알고리즘을 제시한다. 이동 경로는 직각좌표계의 매개변수 방정식 그룹으로 표현된다. 시간간격(0,T)은 m등분으로 분할되고 각 분할부분의 다항식 계수는 순환 형식으로 얻어진다. 본 논문에서는 최소시간 궤적계획 및 m분할 결정에 대한 연구를 하였다. 3차 곡선 스플라인 함수(cubic spline function) 방법과 비교해 보면, 제안된 알고리즘이 컴퓨터 프로그램으로 쉽게 변활될 뿐만 아니라 연산량이 적다.

        Possible role of Pax-6 in promoting breast cancer cell proliferation and tumorigenesis

        Pax 6, a member of the paired box (Pax) family, has been implicated in oncogenesis. However, its therapeutic potential has been never examined in breast cancer. To explore the role of Pax6 in breast cancer development, a lentivirus based short hairpin RNA (shRNA) delivery system was used to knockdown Pax6 expression in estrogen receptor (ER)-positive (MCF-7) and ER-negative (MDA-MB-231) breast cancer cells. Effect of Pax6 silencing on breast cancer cell proliferation and tumorigenesis was analyzed. Pax6-RNAi-lentivirus infection remarkably downregulated the expression levels of Pax6 mRNA and protein in MCF-7 and MDA-MB-231 cells. Accordingly, the cell viability, DNA synthesis, and colony formation were strongly suppressed, and the tumorigenesis in xenograft nude mice was significantly inhibited. Moreover, tumor cells were arrested at G0/G1 phase after Pax6 was knocked down. Pax6 facilitates important regulatory roles in breast cancer cell proliferation and tumor progression, and could serve as a diagnostic marker for clinical investigation.         Condition Assessment of Suspension Bridges Using Local Variable Weight and Normal Cloud Model

        A systematic work has been presented for condition assessment of suspension bridges in this study. Initially, a four-layer index system is built up. Subsequently, 45 experts are invited to determine the index weights by processing the experts’ opinions using the Group Decision-Making (GDM). The assigned weights seem more reasonable (especially weights of the tower and auxiliary facility) when compared with those in the existing China’s code. Next, assessment algorithms, the Local Variable Weight Model (LVWM) and Normal Cloud Model (NCM), are established based on the characteristics of the bridge condition assessment. The LVWM adjusts weight properly to make assessment results in line with the actual situation under extreme cases. The NCM describes not only the fuzziness but also the randomness in the assessment process. Finally, a case study is illustrated to verify the effectiveness of the methodology. For sake of highlighting the advantages of the LVWM, two more models are subjected to the case study, which are the Constant Weight Model (CWM) and Traditional Variable Weight Model (TVWM). Consequently, the assessment result of the LVWM is more in keeping with the actual situation than those of the CWM or TVWM.

        Radical Scavenging Activity of Sea Buckthorn Oils from Different Parts of Sea Buckthorn Berry

        Antioxidant-rich oils were extracted from different parts of sea buckthorn berry with supercritical CO₂ (SC-CO₂) and n-hexane. The functional components were analyzed and the extracts were screened for their potential as radical scavengers in 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical (DPPH), 2,2’-azinobis-3-ethylbenzotiazoline-6-sulphonic acid (ABTS), galvinoxyl systems. Minor differences were found in fatty acid composition of oils extracted by the two methods. Seed oil contains the highest content of tocopherols while pulp oil and whole berry oil possessed higher concentration of carotenoids. Whole berry oil, pulp oil, and seed oil extracted by SC-CO₂ showed 91.7, 90.9, and 93.5% radical scavenging activity (RSA) at 6 ㎎/㎖ towards DPPH and 74.3, 54.3, and 74.8% towards galvanoxyl radical at 10 ㎎/㎖. The hexane-extracted oils showed similar scavenging ability. However, the oils obtained by hexane showed significantly higher RSA (p<0.05) than those obtained by SC-CO₂ while whole berry oil has the highest RSA towards ABTS among 3 oil samples.

        A Study on Surface Treatment for Rubber Materials with Low Friction Factor

        Multi-Surface (MS) treatment is a new technique of surface treatment to reduce the static friction factor on the surface of rubber. MS treatments include 4 methods which names are MS-V (UV-irradiation on the rubber surface), MSM (doing the chemical reaction with double bond of rubber), MS-Q (dilution of rubber surface by silicone surfactant), and MS-P (coating and heating of rubber surface). The experiment and test of every MS-treatment had been carried out using acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR), ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM), and chlorosulphonated rubber (CSM) as rubber materials. It had introduced the steps of every MS-treatment process and the result of the properties test. From the research, it was found that the best method was MS-V treatment because it suited all the samples and the effect was obviously.
