Objective: To investigate individual and interactive associations of baseline serum leptin levels and physical comorbidity with short- and long-term treatment outcomes in outpatients with depressive disorders who received stepwise antidepressant treatment in a naturalistic prospective study design. Methods: Baseline serum leptin levels were measured, and the number of concurrent physical disorders ascertained from 1,094 patients. These patients received initial antidepressant monotherapy; then, for patients with an insufficient response or who experienced uncomfortable side effects, treatment was administered using alternative strategies every 3 weeks in the acute treatment phase (at 3, 6, 9, and 12 weeks) and every 3 months in the continuation treatment phase (at 6, 9, and 12 months). Then, 12-week and 12-month remission, defined as a Hamilton Depression Rating Scale score of ≤7, was estimated. Results: In multivariable logistic regression analyses, individual effects were found only between higher baseline serum leptin levels and 12-week non-remission. Significant interactive effects between higher leptin levels and fewer physical disorders (< 2 physical disorders) on 12-week non-remission were observed. However, neither individual nor interactive effects between leptin levels and physical comorbidity were associated with 12-month remission. Conclusion: The combination of serum leptin level and number of physical disorders may be a useful predictor of short-term treatment responses in patients with depressive disorders receiving pharmacotherapy.

The beginning of Web Services was understood as efficient technology for application integration in the internet, thus it was used to integrating the distributed enterprise applications or the e-business applications between partners. But, recently the usage trend of Web Services is largely spreaded out wireless network applications beyond the internet applications. The main reasons are that Web Services is the International standard of W3C, and Web Services is based on XML that is independent of the specific internal implementations such as platform, programming languages, communications networks etc. Currently Major company of Web Services such as MS. IBM. etc. focus on the research about technology for integrating various devices, in this paper, we define and explain technical issues for adapting web services to ubiquitous Environment.

SGML은 문서 정보를 체계적으로 조직하고, 생성하고, 전송하기 위한 문서 표준으로서 문서의 적절한 구조가 유지되도록 문서 구조를 표현하는데 사용할 수 있다. 이러한 문서 형태로 표현된 정보에서는 기존의 파일 형태의 정보에 비해 의미적인 정보의 단위를 구조(structure)로서 표현하며, 이 구조 정보를 이용해 문서의 관리 및 검색, 저장에 이용할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 SGML 문서 관리 시스템의 하부 구조로서 대량의 SGML 문서를 효율적으로 저장 및 검색, 관리할 수 있는 데이터베이스 관리기 구조의 필요 모듈들을 도출하고 각 모듈의 기능과 모듈 사이의 인터페이스 관계를 기술하였다. 또한 본 논문에서는 데이터베이스 관리기 구조의 각 모듈에 대한 구현 내용을 설명하기 위해 각 모듈간의 데이터 처리 흐름도를 기술하였으며, 구현 환경으로는 객체 지향 DBMS인 O2 DBMS를 기반으로 한다.
Effects of hierarchical zeolites on aromatization of acetylene

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>The conventional zeolites and the hierarchical zeolites were employed to investigate the catalytic performance of aromatization from acetylene. In the case of the conventional MCM-22 zeolites, the effects of their Si/Al ratio on the catalytic performance were investigated by considering the conversion of acetylene, the selectivity of aromatics, and the formation of cokes. By swelling the interlayers in the MCM-22 precursor followed by pillaring the swollen spaces, hierarchical zeolites with layered nanosheets (i.e., MCM-36) were successfully prepared, characterized and tested for aromatization. With the novel hierarchical zeolite-based catalysts, the effects of structural difference as well as the Si/Al ratio were scrutinized. From the catalytic activity tests, the selectivity towards aromatic compounds through MCM-36 was significantly improved, and the amount of carbon deposition was decreased a lot, probably due to the increased number of external Brønsted acid sites. To draw such conclusion, several characterization techniques were also applied and the results were analyzed. <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>We synthesized a planar pDPPTTi-OD polymer based on diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) and thieno [2,3-<I>b</I>]thiophene (TTi) and investigated the electrical properties of the pDPPTTi-OD polymer. pDPPTTi-OD films displayed a low optical bandgap of 1.57 eV, and HOMO and LUMO levels of −5.40 and −3.74 eV, respectively. The 150°C-annealed pDPPTTi-OD films showed a high hole mobility of 0.16 cm<SUP>2</SUP>V<SUP>−1</SUP>s<SUP>−1</SUP> in organic thin-film transistor (OTFT) devices. The photovoltaic properties of polymer solar cells (PSCs) incorporating the pDPPTTi-OD were also measured. A pDPPTTi-OD:PC<SUB>71</SUB>BM blend film was spin-coated at 25, 70 and 90 °C. High-temperature processing significantly improved the power conversion efficiency of PSCs by effectively reducing the PC<SUB>71</SUB>BM domain sizes, which improved the miscibility between pDPPTTi-OD and PC<SUB>71</SUB>BM.
