      • An Epidemic Model of Information Dissemination in Mobile Social Networks

        Wang Weiguo,Chu Chen,Liu Jinzhuo,Li Tairan 보안공학연구지원센터(IJUNESST) 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.1

In this paper, we propose a new model for information dissemination in mobile social networks. The dynamic equation of information dissemination is modified. Moreover, we investigate numerically the behavior of the model on a real scale-free social site with the exponent γ =1.08. We find that initial spreaders with big out-degree of can accelerate information dissemination, and the nodes with large in-degree would be easier to be a spreader or to become to stiflers.

Overexpression of Long Non-Coding RNA HOTAIR Promotes Tumor Growth and Metastasis in Human Osteosarcoma

        Wang, Bo,Su, Yun,Yang, Qun,Lv, Decheng,Zhang, Weiguo,Tang, Kai,Wang, Hong,Zhang, Rui,Liu, Yang Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology 2015 Molecules and cells Vol.38 No.5

Human osteosarcoma usually presented a high tendency to metastatic spread and caused poor outcomes, however, the underlying mechanism was still largely unknown. In the present study, using a series of in vitro experiments and an animal model, we investigated the roles of HOX antisense intergenic RNA (HOTAIR) during the proliferation and invasion of osteosarcoma. According with our results, HOTAIR was commonly overexpressed in osteosarcoma, which significantly correlated with advanced tumor stage, highly histological grade and poor prognosis. In vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrated that knockdown of HOTAIR could notably suppress cellular proliferation, inhibit invasion and decrease the secretion of MMP2 and MMP9 in osteosarcoma. Collectively, our results suggested that HOTAIR might be a potent therapeutic target for osteosarcoma.

      • Role of Tie Strength in Information Dissemination in Mobile Social Networks

        Wang Weiguo,Chu Chen,Liu Jinzhuo,Li Tairan 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of u- and e- Service, Scienc Vol.8 No.3

In this paper, we propose a new model for information dissemination in mobile social networks, in which the infectious probability is defined as a function of the homogeneity and heterogeneity between nodes. Moreover, we investigate numerically the behavior of the model on a real scale-free social site with the exponent γ =1.08. We find that weak ties between nodes play an important role in information dissemination process. Specially, selecting weak ties preferentially can make information spread faster and wider, and the efficiency of diffusion will be greatly affected after removing them.

Cyclooxygenase-2 Polymorphisms and Susceptibility to Colorectal Cancer: A Meta-Analysis

        Jun Wang,Xufeng Guo,Jixiang Zhang,Jia Song,Mengyao Ji,Shijie Yu,Jing Wang,Zhuo Cao,Weiguo Dong 연세대학교의과대학 2013 Yonsei medical journal Vol.54 No.6

Purpose: Four polymorphisms, -765G>C, -1195G>A, 8473T>C, and Val511Ala, in the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) gene were identified to be associated with colorectal cancer (CRC) risk. However, the results are inconsistent. The objective of this meta-analysis was to evaluate the association between these four polymorphisms and the risk of CRC. Materials and Methods: All eligible case-control studies published up to December 2012 on the association between the four polymorphisms of COX-2 and CRC risk were identified by searching PubMed and Web of Science. The CRC risk associated with the four polymorphisms of the COX-2 gene was estimated for each study by odds ratio (OR) together with its 95% confidence interval (CI), respectively. Results: A total of 15 case-control studies were included. Overall, no evidence has indicated that the -1195A allele, -765C allele, 8473C allele, and 511Ala allele are associated with susceptibility to CRC (-1195G>A: OR=1.11, 95% CI: 0.82-1.51, p=0.78; -765G>C: OR=1.08, 95% CI: 0.96-1.21, p=0.07; 8473T>C: OR=1.03, 95% CI: 0.89-1.18, p=0.91; Val511Ala:OR=0.71, 95% CI: 0.46-1.09, p=0.94). However, stratified analysis with ethnicity indicated that individuals with -765GC or GC/CC genotypes had an increased risk of CRC among Asian populations (GC vs. GG: OR=1.05, 95% CI: 0.87-1.28, p=0.03; GC+CC vs. GG: OR=1.08, 95% CI: 0.96-1.21, p=0.07). Conclusion: This meta-analysis indicated that -765G>C polymorphism was significantly associated with susceptibility to CRC in Asian populations.

Preparation and properties of Al-Al2O3 metal ceramics via powder metallurgy methods

        Jieguang Song,Xiuqin Wang,Lin Chen,Cailiang Pang,Jia Zhang,Weiguo Shi,Songlin Guo,Xianzhong Wang,Ruihua Wang 한양대학교 세라믹연구소 2018 Journal of Ceramic Processing Research Vol.19 No.1

Metal ceramics are outstanding new engineering materials that offer the advantages of both ceramics and metals. In this study,Al-Al2O3 metal ceramics were prepared through powder metallurgy methods, and the densification and properties of theprepared metal ceramics were investigated to gain insights into the preparation of high-performance cermet materials. Resultsrevealed that as the forming pressure was increased, the relative density of the ceramics increased, whereas their electricalresistivity decreased. The relative density increased with increasing sintering temperature up to 700 oC and decreased beyond700 oC, whereas the electrical resistivity exhibited an opposite trend. The relative density increased with increasing Al content, whereas the electrical resistivity displayed an opposite trend. Under optimal technological parameters of 700 oC sinteringtemperature, < 20MPa forming pressure, and 75 wt% Al content, Al-Al2O3 metal ceramics with a high relative density(97.52%) and a low electrical resistivity (101.34 Ω·m) were successfully prepared.

Catalytic performance of amino acid/phosphotungstic acid as bi-functional heterogeneous catalyst for biodiesel production

        Qingyu Zhang,Xiaoling Duan,Siyi Tang,Cunwen Wang,Weiguo Wang,Weiliang Feng,Tielin Wang 대한환경공학회 2023 Environmental Engineering Research Vol.28 No.1

In this study, a series of acid-base bi-functional catalysts were prepared by mixing different amounts of basic amino acids (AAs) and phosphotungstic acid (PTA), which exhibited the excellent performance in catalyzing conversion of oleic acid (OA) for the biodiesel production. The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were characterized and analyzed using modern testing techniques and characterization methods such as XRD, FT-IR, XPS, SEM, TEM, and Hammett titration. The various influence parameters were optimized using the central composite design based the response surface methodology, where the maximum biodiesel yield of 97.0% was achieved at the MeOH/OA molar ratio of 5.9, the catalyst loading of 8%, reaction time of 6 h, and reaction temperature of 65℃. Furthermore, the stability and reusability of the prepared catalyst were also demonstrated. At last, the possible catalytic mechanism of the prepared catalyst was comprehensively described.

Low Carbon Concrete Prepared with Scattering-Filling Coarse Aggregate Process

        Weiguo Shen,Chuan Zhang,Xinling Li,Hua Shi,Guiming Wang,Xiaowu Tian 한국콘크리트학회 2014 International Journal of Concrete Structures and M Vol.8 No.4

The volume fraction of the coarse aggregate in the conventional plastic concrete is controlled relatively low to ensure a required workability. In this paper, a new type of coarse aggregate interlocking concrete with strength ranging from C30 to C80 was prepared with scattering-filling aggregate process. The strength of concrete prepared with this method increases obviously whereas the shrinkage decreases significantly, the cement dosage in the concrete decreased 20 % at the same time. The microhardness of the ITZ between the cement paste and scattering-filling aggregate is higher than that of the original aggregate, the ITZ become narrower and tighter also. The interlocking and more even distribution of the coarse aggregate and the water absorption of the addition of extra amount of coarse aggregates contribute to the strength and performance improvement of the concrete prepared with scattering-filling aggregate process.

Longitudinal Dynamic End Effect of Single-Sided Linear Induction Motor for Medium–Low Speed Maglev

        Wang Ying,Liu Xuelong,Lu Weiguo,Wen Tianqi,Yu Fan,Wu Qian 대한전기학회 2021 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.16 No.4

The Short Primary Single-sided Linear Induction Motor (SLIM) applied in medium–low maglev vehicle has end eff ect that will cause a signifi cant reduction of train thrust. This paper analyzes the relationship between the Longitudinal Dynamic End Eff ect (LDEE) and the speed of SLIM. It is concluded that LDEE increases with the motor speed. The LDEE at motor’s exit area is called tailing eff ect. We take advantage of the tailing eff ect between adjacent SLIMs to make the air-gap magnetic fi eld of these motors continuous by adjusting their intervals and excitation phase diff erence. The several SLIM on the same side of the vehicle is equivalent to a “whole motor” with overall one entry area and one exit area. This method can reduce the resistance of the whole vehicle running at high speed, which can provide a new solution for the design of high-speed SLIM applied in Maglev

Performance study on the whole vibration process of a museum induced by metro

        Weiguo Yang,Meng Wang,Jianquan Shi,Jiaqi Ge,Nan Zhang,Botao Ma 국제구조공학회 2015 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.55 No.2

The vibrations caused by metro operation propagate through surrounding soil, further induce secondary vibrations of the nearby underground structures and adjacent buildings. In order to investigate the effects of vibrations caused by metro on use performance of buildings, vibration experiment of Chengdu museum was carried out firstly. Then, the coupling tunnel-soil-structure finite element model was established with software ANSYS detailedly, providing a useful tool for investigating the vibration performances of structures. Furthermore, the dynamic responses and vibration predictions of museum building were obtained respectively by the whole process time-domain analysis and frequency-domain analysis, which were compared with the vibration reference values of museum. Quantitative analyses of the museum building performance were carried out, and the possible tendency and changing laws of vibration level with floors were proposed. Finally, the related vibration isolation measures were compared and discussed. The tests and analysis results show that: The vertical vibration responses almost increased with the increasing of building floors, while weak floors existed for the curve of horizontal vibration; The vertical vibrations were larger than the horizontal vibrations, indicating the vibration performances of building caused by metro were characterized with vertical vibrations; The frequencies of the museum corresponding to the peak vibration levels were around 6~17Hz; The damping effect of structure with 33m-span cantilever on vertical vibration was obvious, however, the damping effect of structure with foundation vibration isolators was not obvious.

Vibro-acoustic modelling of immersed cylindrical shells with variable thickness

Wang, Xianzhong,Lin, Hongzhou,Zhu, Yue,Wu, Weiguo The Society of Naval Architects of Korea 2020 International Journal of Naval Architecture and Oc Vol.12 No.-

Based on the Precise Transfer Matrix Method (PTMM), the dynamic model is constructed to observe the vibration behaviour of cylindrical shells with variable thickness by solving a set of first-order differential equations. The free vibration of stiffened cylindrical shells with variable thickness can be obtained to compare with the exact solution and FEM results. The reliability of the present method of free vibration is well proved. Furthermore, the effect of thickness on the vibration responses of the cylindrical shell is also discussed. The acoustic response of immersed cylindrical shells is analyzed by a Pluralized Wave Superposition Method (PWSM). The sound pressure coefficient can be gained by collocating points along the meridian line to satisfy the Neumann boundary condition. The mode convergence analysis of the cylindrical shell is carried out to guarantee calculation precision. Also, the reliability of the present method on sound radiation is verified by comparing with experimental results and numerical results.
