      • An Efficient Blind Detection Algorithm of Median Filtered Image

Yongzhen Ke,Fan Qin,Weidong Min,Qiang Zhang 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Hybrid Information Techno Vol.8 No.1

Due to the significant advances of digital photography and the availability of many powerful photo editing tools, it becomes easier to create forgery images by non-professional users. Median filtering that is usually applied to erase the forensically significant fingerprints has recently received increased attention. In this paper, we present an effective blind forensic algorithm to detect the median filtering manipulation. First, the median filtered residual (MFR) is generated by computing the difference between a testing image and a median filtered version of itself. Then, three feature sets including histogram, autocorrelation and gradient are extracted from the median filter residual. Last, those features are fetched into support vector machine (SVM) for training and classification. Our experimental results demonstrate that our proposed forensic method achieves not only better detection rate but also lower computational complexity compared with other existing median filtering detection methods. Our proposed forensic method also can locate local median filtering of image effectively.

Iterative coupling of precise integration FEM and TD-BEM for elastodynamic analysis

        Weidong Lei,Chun Liu,Xiaofei Qin,Rui Chen 국제구조공학회 2018 Structural Engineering and Mechanics, An Int'l Jou Vol.67 No.4

The iterative decomposition coupling formulation of the precise integration finite element method (FEM) and the time domain boundary element method (TD-BEM) is presented for elstodynamic problems. In the formulation, the FEM node and the BEM node are not required to be coincident on the common interface between FEM and BEM sub-domains, therefore, the FEM and BEM are independently discretized. The force and displacement converting matrices are used to transfer data between FEM and BEMnodes on the common interface between the FEM and BEM sub-domains, to renew the nodal variables in the process of the iterations for the un-coincident FEM node and BEM node. The iterative coupling formulation for elastodynamics in current paper is of high modeling accuracy, due to the semi-analytical solution incorporated in the precise integration finite element method. The decomposition coupling formulation for elastodynamics is verified by examples of a cantilever bar under a Heaviside-type force and a harmonic load.

Sorption-enhanced reforming of tar: Influence of the preparation method of CO2 absorbent

        Huaqing Xie,Weidong Zhang,Xiangnan Zhao,Hao Chen,Qingbo Yu,Qin Qin 한국화학공학회 2018 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.35 No.11

To remove tar and produce environment-friendly H2, one of the promising routes is the sorption-enhanced steam reforming (SESR) process, in which the CO2 sorbent is a key element. We prepared the CO2 sorbents with Ca12Al14O33 as carrier with various methods. Their characterizations were examined, and the sample prepared by solgel (SG) method showed the strongest CaO and Ca12Al14O33 phases and the most excellent pore structure among all the samples. Then, a thermogravimetric experiment was conducted, and the results showed that the sample prepared by sol-gel (SG) method had the best CO2 adsorption capacity and excellent long-term cyclic stability. Finally, the sorbent was used into the steam reforming experiments of tar. Under the action of the sorbent, the reforming reaction was enhanced in-situ, with the H2 yield and concentration improved obviously, and especially, H2 concentration can reach over 98.85%.

The 16-year experience in treating low-risk gestational trophoblastic neoplasia patients with failed primary methotrexate chemotherapy

        Xiaodong Wu,Jiale Qin,Tao Shen,Weidong Fei,Lili Chen,Xing Xie,Weiguo Lu 대한부인종양학회 2020 Journal of Gynecologic Oncology Vol.31 No.4

Objective: To assess the outcomes and toxic effects of 5-day actinomycin D (Act-D) salvagetherapy and to explore the predictors of Act-D resistance in patients with low-risk gestationaltrophoblastic neoplasia (GTN)who failed 5-day methotrexate (MTX) chemotherapy. Methods: This retrospective study analyzed patients with low-risk GTN administered Act-Dsalvage therapy after failing MTX chemotherapy at Women's Hospital, School of MedicineZhejiang University between January 2000 and December 2015. The clinical parameters ofthese patients were collected and analyzed. Results: The final analysis included 89 cases. Of these, 73 cases (82.02%) responded tosalvage Act-D. The remaining 16 resistant cases were switched to etoposide, MTX, Act-D/cyclophosphamide, and vincristine chemotherapy and achieved complete remission. Serumhuman chorionic gonadotrophin levels before Act-D salvage therapy (hCGAct-D)in the Act-D resistant cases were significantly higher than those in the Act-D responders (median 605 vs. 103 IU/L, p=0.009). However, the range of hCGAct-D values in Act-D responders was wider thanthat in Act-D-resistant cases (5.76–16,664 IU/L vs. 11.43–6,732 IU/L). Thus, assigning a generalcut-off value was difficult considering the individual setting. Except for 2 cases requiring othersalvage regimens due to Act-D toxicity, 97.80% of cases (89/91) tolerated the toxicity. During atleast 1-year follow-up, the survival rate was 100.00% and no case developed recurrence. Conclusion: Based on the good therapeutic effect and tolerable toxicity, we recommendAct-D salvage therapy for all patients with low-risk GTN who fail primary MTX chemotherapy. The higher serum hCG levels before Act-D salvage therapy may be associated with resistanceto this treatment.

      • Detection of Seam Carved Image Based on Additional Seam Carving Behavior

        Yongzhen Ke,Qingqing Shan,Fan Qin,Weidong Min,Jing Guo 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.2

Seam carving is a kind of content aware image retargeting algorithm and can be applied to resize and deliberately remove objects from digital images. Based on the observation that after applying an additional seam carving operation, the similarity, the energy relative error, and the difference of seam distance of original image are quite different from those of the seam-carved image, we propose and develop a new method for detecting seam carving or seam insertion of natural images without knowledge of the original image. First, we apply an additional seam carving operation to the testing image, then calculate similarity, energy relative error, and difference of seam distance between the testing image and its seam carved version. Last, we extract 11 dimensional features to detect seam carving operation to train a support vector machine classifier for recognizing whether an image is an original or it has been modified using seam-carving. Our experimental results demonstrate that our proposed forensic method achieves not only better detection rate but also lower dimensional features compared with other existing seam carved detection methods.

Fluoroscopically Guided Three-Tube Insertion for the Treatment of Postoperative Gastroesophageal Anastomotic Leakage

        Guowen Yin,Qingyu Xu,Shixi Chen,Xiangjun Bai,Feng Jiang,Qin Zhang,Lin Xu,Weidong Xu 대한영상의학회 2012 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.13 No.2

Objective: To retrospectively evaluate the feasibility and effectiveness of three-tube insertion for the treatment of postoperative gastroesophageal anastomotic leakage (GEAL). Materials and Methods: From January 2007 to January 2011, 28 cases of postoperative GEAL after an esophagectomy with intrathoracic esophagogastric anastomotic procedures for esophageal and cardiac carcinoma were treated by the insertion of three tubes under fluoroscopic guidance. The three tubes consisted of a drainage tube through the leak, a nasogastric decompression tube, and a nasojejunum feeding tube. The study population consisted of 28 patients (18 males, 10 females) ranging in their ages from 36 to 72 years (mean: 59 years). We evaluated the feasibility of three-tube insertion to facilitate leakage site closure, and the patients’ nutritional benefit by checking their serum albumin levels between pre- and post-enteral feeding via the feeding tube. Results: The three tubes were successfully placed under fluoroscopic guidance in all twenty-eight patients (100%). The procedure times for the three tube insertion ranged from 30 to 70 minutes (mean time: 45 minutes). In 27 of 28 patients (96%), leakage site closure after three-tube insertion was achieved, while it was not attained in one patient who received stent implantation as a substitute. All patients showed good tolerance of the three-tube insertion in the nasal cavity. The mean time needed for leakage treatment was 21 ± 3.5 days. The serum albumin level change was significant, increasing from pre-enteral feeding (2.5 ± 0.40 g/dL) to post-enteral feeding (3.7 ± 0.51 g/dL) via the feeding tube (p < 0.001). The duration of follow-up ranged from 7 to 60 months (mean: 28 months). Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, the insertion of three tubes under fluoroscopic guidance is safe, and also provides effective relief from postesophagectomy GEAL. Moreover, our findings suggest that three-tube insertion may be used as the primary procedure to treat postoperative GEAL.
