        Review of the Macrophya regia group (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae) from China with the descriptions of two new species

        The Macrophya regia group is reviewed and five species are recognized from China, among them two new species, M. acutiserrula Li, Liu & Wei sp. nov. and M. frontalis Li, Liu & Zhu sp. nov., and three known species, M. regia Forsius 1930, M. maculoclypeatina Wei et al. 2003, and M. xiaoi Wei et al. 2003. A key to the Chinese species of the Macrophya regia group are provided.

        5-Formylhonokiol exerts anti-angiogenesis activity $via$ inactivating the ERK signaling pathway

        Our previous report has demonstrated that 5-formylhonokiol (FH), a derivative of honokiol (HK), exerts more potent anti-proliferative activities than honokiol in several tumor cell lines. In present study, we first explored the antiangiogenic activities of 5-formylhonokiol on proliferation, migration and tube formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) for the first time $in$ $vitro$. Then we investigated the $in$ $vivo$ antiangiogenic effect of 5-formylhonokiol on zebrafish angiogenesis model. In order to clarify the underlying molecular mechanism of 5-formylhonokiol, we investigated the signaling pathway involved in controlling the angiogenesis process by western blotting assay. Wound-healing results showed that 5-formylhonokiol significantly and dose-dependently inhibited migration of cultured human umbilical vein enthothelial cells. The invasiveness of HUVEC cells was also effectively suppressed at a low concentration of 5-formylhonokiol in the transwell assay. Further F-actin imaging revealed that inhibitory effect of 5-formylhonokiol on invasion may partly contribute to the disruption of assembling stress fiber. Tube formation assay, which is associated with endothelial cells migration, further confirmed the anti-angiogenesis effect of 5-formylhonokiol. In $in$ $vivo$ zebrafish angiogenesis model, we found that 5-formylhonokiol dose-dependently inhibited angiogenesis. Furthermore, western blotting showed that 5-formylhonokiol significantly down-regulated extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) expression and inhibited the phosphorylation of ERK but not affecting the total protein kinase B (Akt) expression and related phosphorylation, suggesting that 5-formylhonokiol might exert anti-angiogenesis capacity $via$ down-regulation of the ERK signal pathway. Taken together, these data suggested that 5-formylhonokiol might be a viable drug candidate in antiangiogenesis and anticancer therapies.

      • A Double-Layer Heartbeat Detection Algorithm Orienting to Embedded Heterogeneous Cluster

        The heartbeat detection is an important technology to detect faults of cluster nodes. This paper proposes a Double-layer Heartbeat Detection Model and a Double-layer Heartbeat Detection Algorithm (DLHB) orienting to embedded heterogeneous clusters to obtain high availability of embedded heterogeneous clusters. This algorithm divides the nodes in the embedded heterogeneous cluster into different areas by their physical positions. In each node area, a node is selected as the master control node. The inter-area detection uses heartbeat ring mechanism. The intra-area detection can only be made among master control nodes. The experiment results show that, DLHB is more accurate in prediction compared with DHB, and can detect faults concurrently occurring on multiple nodes with less time compared with the heartbeat ring algorithm.

        The natural product salicin alleviates osteoarthritis progression by binding to IRE1α and inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress through the IRE1α-IκBα-p65 signaling pathway

        Despite the high prevalence of osteoarthritis (OA) in older populations, disease-modifying OA drugs (DMOADs) are still lacking. This study was performed to investigate the effects and mechanisms of the small molecular drug salicin (SA) on OA progression. Primary rat chondrocytes were stimulated with TNF-α and treated with or without SA. Inflammatory factors, cartilage matrix degeneration markers, and cell proliferation and apoptosis markers were detected at the mRNA and protein levels. Cell proliferation and apoptosis were evaluated by EdU assays or flow cytometric analysis. RNA sequencing, molecular docking and drug affinity-responsive target stability analyses were used to clarify the mechanisms. The rat OA model was used to evaluate the effect of intra-articular injection of SA on OA progression. We found that SA rescued TNF-α-induced degeneration of the cartilage matrix, inhibition of chondrocyte proliferation, and promotion of chondrocyte apoptosis. Mechanistically, SA directly binds to IRE1α and occupies the IRE1α phosphorylation site, preventing IRE1α phosphorylation and regulating IRE1α-mediated endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress by IRE1α-IκBα-p65 signaling. Finally, intra-articular injection of SA-loaded lactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) ameliorated OA progression by inhibiting IRE1α-mediated ER stress in the OA model. In conclusion, SA alleviates OA by directly binding to the ER stress regulator IRE1α and inhibits IRE1α-mediated ER stress via IRE1α-IκBα-p65 signaling. Topical use of the small molecular drug SA shows potential to modify OA progression.

      • Conflicts Rules of Arbitration Agreements in China: Evolution and Reform

        The Evolution of the conflicts rules of arbitration agreements in China can be divided into three stages: Before the "Interpretation 2006" was issued by the Supreme People`s Court, when designating the applicable law of the arbitration agreement the Chinese courts followed the judicial practices developed for a long time; the "Interpretation 2006" provides clear guidelines for the courts to assign the law applicable to the arbitration agreement, but the rigidity of the conflicts rules in the "Interpretation 2006" often results in the arbitration agreements being held invalid because in most if not all the cases the Chinese law will be determined as the lex causae of the arbitration agreements, greatly frustrating the parties` expectation to have their disputes settled through arbitration; the newly promulgated Law on the Application of Laws to the Foreign-Related Civil Matters (CPIL) contains a set of specific conflict rules of arbitration agreement, but such a provision is no but the old wine in the new bottle, causing more uncertainty and even contradictory results. The author analyzes the main approaches adopted in other jurisdictions in determining the validity of arbitration agreements and proposes the possible reform in Arbitration Law in China.

        Establishment and evaluation of a murine anb3-integrinexpressing cell line with increased susceptibility to Foot-and-mouth disease virus

        Integrin anb3 plays a major role in various signaling pathways, cell apoptosis, and tumor angiogenesis. To examine the functions and rolesof anb3 integrin, a stable CHO-677 cell line expressing the murine anb3 heterodimer (designated as “CHO-677-manb3” cells) wasestablished using a highly efficient lentiviral-mediated gene transfer technique. Integrin subunits an and b3 were detected at the gene andprotein levels by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and indirect immunofluorescent assay (IFA), respectively, in the CHO-677-manb3 cellline at the 20th passage, implying that these genes were successfully introduced into the CHO-677 cells and expressed stably. A plaque-formingassay, 50% tissue culture infective dose (TCID50), real-time quantitative reverse transcription-PCR, and IFA were used to detect the replicationlevels of Foot-and-mouth disease virus (FMDV) in the CHO-677-manb3 cell line. After infection with FMDV/O/ZK/93, the cell line showeda significant increase in viral RNA and protein compared with CHO-677 cells. These findings suggest that we successfully established a stableanb3-receptor-expressing cell line with increased susceptibility to FMDV. This cell line will be very useful for further investigation of anb3integrin, and as a cell model for FMDV research.

        한국어 ‘的’자 구성과 중국어 대응어에 대한 연구

        This paper focuses on the difference between Korean ‘-jeok’ and the Chinese ‘de’.and aim to research the effective education method through the comparison between Korean suffix ‘-jeok’ and Chinese character ‘de’ appeared in vocabulary for learning Korean or Chinese. According to the grammar characteristics of ‘N₁+-적/的+N₂’ there was a great difference between ‘-joek’ and ‘de’ in Korean and Chinese. This paper analyzed the structure of ‘-jeok’ and ‘de’ and compared the usage of suffix ‘-jeok’ with the auxiliary ‘de’. It concludes the reasons which caused the formation of syntaxes and semantics differences between ‘-jeok’ and ‘de’ by analyzing their origins and historical evolvements comprehensively. In the end, There is a limit that was not the verification of education methods. However, there is significant that we have discussed the similarities and differences between the ‘-jeok’ in Korean and ‘de’ in Chinese through the contrast method. It is believed that this study will ultimately help the Korean Learner understand and use the Korean expression of ‘-jeok’ when they learn the Korean language. At the same time it can also help the Chinese Learner master the usage of ‘de’. 한국어 어휘 중 출현빈도가 높은‘적’자 구성의 용법과 특성에 대한 분석이 다양하게 제기되고 있다. 지금까지 형태론적 차원에서 접미사 ‘-적’에 대한 연구와 어휘론적 차원에서 ‘-적’ 파생어에 대한 연구를 활발하게 진행해 왔다. 본고에서 한국어의‘-적’자 구성과 중국어의 대응 양상을 살펴보고 이들이 갖는 문법적 특성을 밝히고 그들의 공통점과 차이점을 찾아내고자 한다. 본고는 한국어 ‘적’자 구성을 연구 대상으로 삼고 다차원에서의 특성을 고찰할 것이다. 우선‘적’자 구성의 정체성, 즉 문법 범주 설정 문제를 놓고 각종 쟁점에 대한 검토 작업을 통해재정립할 것이다. 그리고 한국어 ‘-적’의 기원과 중국어 ‘的’의 기원, ‘적’자 구성 유형과 중국어 ‘적’자 구성 유형 간의 대조, 한국어 ‘적’자 부정 형식과 중국어 대응어의 부정형식 등 면에서 대응 양상을 살펴볼 것이다. 이러한 대조를 통해 양국 언어 중에 공통적으로 존재하는 ‘적’ 자 구성의 특성을 밝히고자 한다.

        Distribution of diagenetic alterations within depositional facies and sequence stratigraphic framework of fan delta and subaqueous fan sandstones: evidence from the Lower Cretaceous Bayingebi Formation, Chagan sag, China–Mongolia frontier area

        Linking siliciclastic diagenesis to sequence stratigraphy allows a better understanding of the parameters controlling the spatial and temporal distribution of diagenetic alterations. A study of the subaqueous fan and fan delta sandstones of the Bayingebi Formation, Lower Cretaceous, Chagan sag (China), reveals that the distribution of diagenetic alterations can be constrained within a sequence stratigraphic framework. Eogenetic alterations, which were encountered in the sandstones of subaqueous fan and fan delta, include: (1) replacement of detrital silicates and mud matrix by kaolinites in sandstones of the late highstand systems tract (HST) and the lowstand systems tract (LST). The formation of kaolinites is attributed to the influx of meteoric water when the base level fell and the channels migrated laterally on preexisting floodplains or channel deposits. (2) Infiltrated clays, which rim around detrital grains, mainly occur in channel sandstones of the LST due to the percolation of mud-rich surface waters. (3) Calcite I (δ18OVPDB = –20.19‰ to −3.64‰ and δ13CVPDB = –0.67‰ to –3.1‰), Calcite II (δ18OVPDB = –14‰ to –18.28‰ and δ13CVPDB = –2.2‰ to –3.60‰), dolomite (δ18OVPDB = –17.91‰ to –21.04‰ and δ13CVPDB = –0.46‰ to –1.66‰) and ankerite (δ18OVPDB = –15.02 to –20.42‰ and δ13CVPDB = –0.074 to –1.43‰), which are associated with palaeosol horizons mainly developed on top of overbank and channel sandstones of transgressive systems tract (TST) and early stage of the HST. Such extensive eogenetic calcite cements may act as potential layers for the formation of reservoir compartments for underlying sandstones. Mesogenetic alterations include: (1) abundant quartz overgrowths in the overbank sandstones of subaqueous fan in the LST and pro-fan-delta sandstones in the HST, in which early carbonate cements are lacking and grain-coats are thin. (2) Illite, chlorite and albitized feldspars, which occur in small amounts, are most common in the LST and late stage of the HST sandstones. Such cementation by calcite, dolomite, quartz overgrowths and formation of illite led to porosity and permeability deterioration during mesodiagenesis. This study revealed the importance of integration of diagenesis with sequence stratigraphy of subaqueous fan and fan delta sandstones in improving our ability to predict the spatial and temporal distribution of eogenetic alterations and their subsequent impact on mesogenetic alterations, and thus on reservoir quality modifications.
