A binary segmentation procedure is proposed to detect clusters and provide inferences for the study space when the shape of the clusters and the number of clusters are unknown. The procedure involves a sequence of nested hypothesis tests of a single cluster versus a pair of distinct clusters. The size and shape of the clusters evolve as the procedure proceeds. The procedure allows for various growth clusters and for arbitrary baseline densities which govern the from of the hypothesis tests. A non-aggregated forest tree data is used to highlight the procedure. 이분법은 군집의 모양과 수를 모를 때 군집을 탐지하고 해당 공간의 추론을 제공하기 위해서 제안되었다. 하나의 공간과 둘로 분할된 공간을 반복적으로 비교하여 다양한 형태의 군집을 추론한다. 군집의 크기와 모양은 이분법이 진행됨에 따라 다양하게 변화한다. 미국 노스캐롤라이나 주의 한 지역에 서식하고 있는 특정 생물의 군집 형태를 새로운 기법을 이용하여 분석한다.

A physical model that characterizes the field effect of the polycrystalline thin film transistor(TFT) is developed. The model discribes grains as discrete single crytal transistors and grain boundaries as insulated layers having the potential barriers. Thus TFT is considered as serial connection of single crystal transistors and insulators. In the model, the currents in the grain and the grain boundary is calculated using gradual channel approximation and tunneling theory, respectively. By comparing computed I-V characteristics with measured I-V characteristics of CdSe TFT's , potential and electric field distributions in the channel are observed. And with this results, contradictions of the model are discussed.

The microsensors to detect NH3 gas were fabricated by continous deposition of In film by evaporation and ZnO film by rf magnetron sputtering onto the Si3N4 diaphragm that was prepared by MEMS technology. The sensors were heat-treated to dope In into the ZnO thin film. The electrical characteristics of sensitive films were studied as a function of heat-temperature by 4-point probing method and electrometer. The dependence of the sensitivity, selectivity and time response of sensor on heat-treatment temperature was investigated. The microsensor heat-treated at 400℃ that 3000 A ZnO:In film was chosen as gas sensitive film, showed the highest sensitivity 23% at 350ppm NH3 under 366mW heater power. The time response was 90sec. The sensitivity for CO and NOx was not observed.

Using RF reactive sputtering method, silicon dioxide(SiO_(2)) thin films have been fabricated on p-type(100) Si wafer. The electrical properties of SiO_(2) thin films have been examined by C-V and I-V measurement. The properties of SiO_(2) thin films on RF power, substrate temperature, O_(2)/Ar+O_(2)ratio and working pressure have been shown differently. The maximum dielectric constant of SiO_(2) thin film was about 2.0 at conditions that the RF power, substrate temperature, O_(2)/Ar+O_(2) and working pressure was 160W, 10%, 250°C and 100mTorr, respectively. This SiO_(2) thin film is expected to be used as the, image sensor blocking layer and TFT gate oxide.

The traveling salesman problem (TSP) is an NP-hard problem. As the number of nodes increases, it takes a lot of time find an optimal solution. Instead of considering all arcs, if we select and consider only some arcs more likely to be included in an optimal solution, we can find efficiently an optimal solution. Arc candidate set is a group of some good arcs. For the Lack of study in the asymmetric TSP, it needs to research arc candidate set for the asymmetric TSP systematically. In this paper, we suggest a regression function determining arc candidate set for the asymmetric TSP. We established the function based on 2100 experiments, and we proved the goodness of fit for the model through various 787 problems. The result showed that the optimal solutions obtained from our arc candidate set are equal to the ones of original problems. We expect that this function would be useful to reduce the complexity of TSP.
Al_2O_3를 첨가한 LaFeO_3 박막의 암모니아 가스감지 특성

LaFeO_3 thin films with 2%, 5% and 10% A1_2O_3 additives were fabricated by r.f. magnetron sputtering method on Al_2O_3 substrates. Structural, electrical and ammonia gas sensing characteristics of the thin films with different heat treatments were examined. From the XRD results, the compound of LaFeO_3 and Al_2O_3 was not found. Thin film with 5% Al_2O_3 additives, heat-treated at 800℃, showed the sensitivities of about 85% for 100ppm ammonia gas at the working temperature of 300℃. The response time to the ammonia gas was several seconds and the thin film showed good selectivity to NH_3 gas.
