        The diagnostic requirements were suggested and explained regarding the systems of differentiation of symptoms and signs in the second year study of standardization and unification of the terms and conditions used for diagnosis in oriental medicine. The systems were as follows; - differential diagnosis according to condition of body fluid, differentiation of syndromes according to the state of qi and blood, differential diagnosis according to relative excessiveness or deficiency of yin and yang(氣血陰陽津液辨證) - differentiation of diseases according to pathological changes of the viscera and their interrelation - analyzing and differentiating of febrile diseases in accordance with the theory of the six channels(傷寒辨證) The individual diagnosis pattern was arranged by the diagnostic requirements in the following order : another name(異名), notion of diagnosis pattern, index of differentiation of symptoms and signs(辨證指標), the main point of diagnosis, analysis of diagnosis pattern(證候分析), discrimination of diagnosis pattern(證候鑑別), a way of curing a diseases(治法), prescription(處方), herb in common use(常用藥物), diseases appearing the diagnosis pattern(常見疾病), documents(文獻調査). This study was carried out on the basis of the Chinese documents and references.

      • Al-TiNi(Cu) 소결재료의 재진 특성에 관한 연구

        TiNi(Cu) shape memory alloy powders were fabricated by mechanical alloying. MA powders for 10hours were formed amorphization and particles refinement. Damping capacity in Al/TiNi(Cu) sintered materials measured by cantilever beam method. And, to calclusions of specific damping properties in Al/TiNi(Cu) sintered materials. Specific damping capacity increased as the Ti content increased. It was due to martensite amount of TiNi particles, and few interfacial effect of the Al/TiNi phase on the damping properties were obtained. The best result of damping capacity was Al/20vol.%Ti-45Ni-5Cu sintered materials.

        This paper presents results of the development of energy saving technology for building automation system. As a result, the direct digital controllers are stand-alone control stations gathering data from the field devices such as sensors or controllers, alayzing them. Corresponding with central control & monitoring system and controlling the devices as programmed direct digital control has programmable logic control functions for reliable distributed direct digital control. Main software and direct digital control are our own developments which make it possible for us to extend or modify all the requirements of user's in the system promptly.

      • 중ㆍ고등학생 응급처치 지식수준에 관한 실태 조사

        This study was conducted to examine middle and high school students' knowledge level of first aid, health promotion, and safety. Data were collected from 1.165 students from March 6, 2000 to April 4, 2000. The results of this study are summarized as follows. 1.80.1% of the respondents felt the necessity of first aid. The sources of information about methods of first arid were school (43.9%), mass media (15.6%), and self-study (10.5%). 30.0% of them never leaned the methods of first aid. 2.In the case of obtaining information on first aid through mass media, 58.2% of them got it from TV. 7.3% of them obtained it from magazines, while 5.8% of them got it from newspapers. According to their viewpoints of adequate time to teach the methods of first aid, 38.6% of them thought that the methods had to be taught in the primary school and 25.2% of them thought that they had to be taught in the kindergarten. 24.9% of them replied that the methods had to be taught in the middle school, while 11.3% of them replied that they had to be taught in the high school. 3.The points for knowledge of first aid were 98.29±20.91 on the basis of 150 points (65.5 points on the basis of 100 points). The points showed significant differences in the variables of sex, education level, numbers of siblings, parents' education level, and guardian's occupation.

      • 유도 전동기를 위한 자기 동조 퍼지 제어기 설계

        The conventional PI control, that are used in the control loop for outer speed of the induction motor, also has difficulty dealing with the dynamic speed tracking, parameter variation, and the load disturbance. As a result, the motion control system operates with a poor performance in the motor´s low speed range. In this paper, a novel speed control system that implements the fuzzy logic controller(FLC) is proposed. The proposed FLC used the speed error, its rate of change, and the drive current as three fuzzy variables. The real command output current is chosen by the defuzzification of the fuzzy output extracted from the fuzzy control rules. The flux and the torque of the induction motor are estimated using the dynamic model with an excellent dynamic response over a wide speed range and with the rotor flux field-oriented scheme of the decoupling characteristics. The performance of this control system is substantiated by computer simulations.

      • DNA 및 유전자 발현의 전자현미경 관찰

        본 연구는 전자현미경에 의해서 플라스미드 DNA의 모양과 크기 및 염색체 DNA의 유전자 발현 과정을 관찰하였다. 전자현미경 관찰을 위하여 본 연구에서는 Miller chromatin-spreading법과 micapress adsorption법을 이용하여, pBN_18, pBN_18A, pBN_18B 그리고 pBR_322 플라스미드 DNA들을 관찰하였다. 그 결과 이들의 크기가 각각 1.87±0.28(5.6kb)μm, 1.53±0.12(4.6Kb)μm, 1.53±0.12(4.6Kb)μm, 그리고 1.50±0.03(4.50Kb)μm이었음을 micapress adserption법에 의하여 측정하였다. 그리고 Miller chromatin-spreading법을 이용한 chromosomal DNA의 유전자 발현과정의 관찰로 transcription을 관찰함으로써 전사과정이 활발한 유전자 부위와 전사과정이 활발하지 않은 유전자 부위를 관찰할 수 있었다. 따라서 세포내에서 방출된 플라스미드 DNA를 선별적으로 관찰헐 수 있는 micapress adsorption법을 이용하여 분자량이 작은 플라스미드의 관찰을 신속하고 유용하게 할 수 있었으며, 플라스미드 DNA들은 2가 양이온이 없어도 mica에 잘 흡착되어졌다. 또한 Miller chromatin-spreading법은 E. coli에서 유전자 발현에 고나한 초미세구조적 관찰로 개개의 유전자 수준에서 조절기작을 연구할 수 있게 하며 유전자들의 replication과 transcription 수준에서의 물리적 상호작용을 관찰하는데 적용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다. This study was visualized the transcriptional activity, the size and the model of plasmid DNA by electron microscopy. Micapress adsorption method that allows selective visualization of the plasmid DNA released in situ from the bacterial cell is rapid and useful for visualization of plasmids. The released plasmid DNA was adsorbed preferentially on mica in a divalent cation-free solution, and the Muller chromatin-spreading method may allow the physical interaction and transcription to be visualized. Therefore micapress adsorption method and Miller chromatin-spreading method used to visualize the plasmid DNA, chromosomal DNA and gene expression. As a result, their estimated sizes of plasmid pBN18, pBN18A, pBN18B and pBR322 were 1.87±0.28(5.6Kb)㎛, 1.53±0.12(4.6Kb)㎛, 1.53±0.12(4.6Kb)㎛, and 1.50±0.03(4.50Kb)㎛, respectively, and transcriptional activity was observed by the visualization of gene expression of chromosomal DNA.

        A Fibrinolytic Enzyme from the Medicinal Mushroom Cordyceps militaris

        In this study we purified a fibrinolytic enzyme from Cordyceps militaris using a combination of ion-exchange chromatography on a DEAE Sephadex A-50 column, gel filtration chromatography on a Sephadex G-75 column, and FPLC on a HiLoad 16/60 Superdex 75 column. This purification protocol resulted in a 191.8-fold purification of the enzyme and a final yield of 12.9 %. The molecular mass of the purified enzyme was estimated to be 52 kDa by SDS-PAGE, fibrin-zymography, and gel filtration chromatography. The first 19 amino acid residues of the N-terminal sequence were ALTTQSNV THGLATISLRQ, which is similar to the subtilisin-like serine protease PR1J from Metarhizium anisopliae var. anisopliase. This enzyme is a neutral protease with an optimal reaction pH and temperature of 7.4 and $37^{\circ}C$, respectively. Results for the fibrinolysis pattern showed that the enzyme rapidly hydrolyzed the fibrin $\alpha$-chain followed by the $\gamma$-$\gamma$ chains. It also hydrolyzed the $\beta$-chain, but more slowly. The A$\alpha$, B$\beta$, and $\gamma$ chains of fibrinogen were also cleaved very rapidly. We found that enzyme activity was inhibited by $Cu^{2+}$ and $Co^{2+}$, but enhanced by the additions of $Ca^{2+}$ and $Mg^{2+}$ ions. Furthermore, fibrinolytic enzyme activity was potently inhibited by PMSF and APMSF. This enzyme exhibited a high specificity for the chymotrypsin substrate S-2586 indicating it's a chymotrypsin-like serine protease. The data we present suggest that the fibrinolytic enzyme derived from the edible and medicinal mushroom Cordyceps militaris has fibrin binding activity, which allows for the local activation of the fibrin degradation pathway.

        Investigation of Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms in Porcine Candidate Genes for Economic Traits in the Commercial Pig Breed

        돼지 2번 염색체의 육질 관련 양적 경제형질에 관한 연구보고가 몇몇 이루어 지고 있다. 양돈업계에서 DNA 기술을 이용한 염색체 정보를 활용하기 위해 본 연구에서는 13개의 후보 유전자에서 생성된 중합효소연쇄반응(PCR) 생성물을 비교 재서열 함으로써 단일염기변이(SNP) 표지들을 개발했다. 11개의 중합효소연쇄반응 생성물에서 296 bp마다 에서 평균 하나의 SNP, 총 34개의 SNP를 발견하였다. 또한 11개의 SNP에 대해 PCR 제한효소 길이 절편길이 다형성(RFLP) 분석을 전개한 후, 이를 대한민국 상업돈 4품종 개체군의 유전자형을 분석하는데 활용하였다. 본 연구는 유용한 단일염기변이를 식별하고 돼지 개체군 내 경제적으로 중요한 특성들과 SNP의 연관성을 확인하는 데 그 목적이 있다. Several studies reported quantitative trait loci (QTL) for meat quality on porcine chromosome 2. For application of the chromosomal information to pig industry through using DNA technology, single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) markers are developed by comparative re-sequencing of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products of 13 candidate genes. A total of 34 SNPs were identified in 11 PCR products, an average of one SNP in every 296 bp.PCR restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) assays were developed for 11 SNPs and used to genotype four commercial pig populations in Korea. The SNP markers were used to map candidate genes in QTL and to clarify the relevance of SNP and quantitative traits.

      • Development of a Mobile Application, "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", for Identification of Plants in Bukhansan National Park

        We developed the educational purpose mobile application, named "Wild Flowers of Bukhansan National Park (version 1.0)", aiming for easy identification of wild flowers for students and visitors in the park. When visitors find a flower or part of plant in the park, visitors can search for its name utilizing the pictures and characters provided in their own smartphone mobile devices or tablet PCs. The application provides pictures of wild flowers in the park and character-based searching system based on 12 diagnostic features (e.g., growth form, leaf arrangement, flower symmetry, petal color, petal number, sepal number, etc). We adopted the complete floristic survey of Chung and Lee (1962) and added species that we confirmed their distribution in the park during the development of this application. In summary, number of vascular plants in this park was estimated to be 428 taxa including 100 families, 280 genera, 327 species, 1 subspecies, 50 varieties, and 5 formas. We provided a total of 588 pictures representing 358 taxa and each taxon includes multiple pictures in many cases. Included identification quizzes can be an efficient educational tool as well as fun activity for students and visitors who are learning plant species in Korea. Our next step will include GPS function in the application for indicating visitor's location and for providing previously reported sites of the species that we interested in the map of the park. The future application which includes GPS function will be a valuable tool for the monitoring of rare plants, plant researches related to the climate changes, etc. We currently provide Korean iPhone version only, and English version and both of android versions will be serviced soon.
