        An experimental study of zinc wastewater treatment was conducted by standard zinc solutions. Most of zinc in wastewater was removed by calcium hydroxide solution. Used inorganic flocculant showed low adsorption quantity of zinc in wastewater compared to that of calcium hydroxide. From this study we suggest that zinc wastewater can be treated in two-step method. The first step is precipitation of zinc wastewater by calcium hydroxide solution. Most of zinc can be removed by this step. Next step is flocculation of the remainder zinc in wastewater by inorganic flocculant to meet the regulation.

        Probabilistic and spectral modelling of dynamic wind effects of quayside container cranes

        Quayside container cranes are important delivery machineries located in the most frontiers of container terminals, where strong wind attacks happen occasionally. Since the previous researches on quayside container cranes mainly focused on the mean wind load and static response characteristics, the fluctuating wind load and dynamic response characteristics require further investigations. In the present study, the aerodynamic wind loads on quayside container cranes were obtained from wind tunnel tests. The probabilistic and spectral models of the fluctuating aerodynamic loads were established. Then the joint probabilistic distributions of dynamic wind-induced responses were derived theoretically based on a series of Gaussian and independent assumption of resonant components. Finally, the results were validated by time domain analysis using wind tunnel data. It is concluded that the assumptions are acceptable. And the presented approach can estimate peak dynamic sliding force, overturning moments and leg uplifts of quayside container cranes effectively and efficiently.

        Research on The Attitude of Recreation and Purpose in Fine Art

        Art, as a carrier of human consciousness, has repeatedly its value. Today's art complex forms of expression, which not only highlights the speculation regarding traditional content, but also reflects the current spiritual life of people. Artists aim to live in the moment and reality, therefore, their works must be based on realism, the cultural environment, and occupy place and space. Nowadays, when the spotlight is cast on artist's work and they are asked inspiration, it is increasingly common to consider art as a fun escape. This seems to depart from the principles of contemporary art. This paper will focus on the production process behind this phenomenon from the perspective of art development, analysing the conflict between this active occurrence and the emergence of art. Finally, we will attempt to establish the rationality behind this. Like many interesting phenomena throughout the development of art, it continues to move ahead with human society.

        Probability of Chain Growth in Coke Formation on Metals and on Supports during Catalytic Reforming over Pt, Pt-Sn and Pt-Sn-K Catalysts Mixed Physically with Al₂O₃

        The main goal of this contribution was to study the probability of chain growth of coke on metal sites and on support sites for hexane dehydrogenation. The coke structure of the catalysts examined by IR was found to have the aromatic structure. Soxhlet extraction coupled with GC-14B(DB1 column) analysis was mainly employed for coke composition analysis and determination of the probability of chain growth (alpha value). It was found that the soluble coke was mainly composed of C_(8)-C_(12) on both sites. Interestingly, the probabilities of chain growth on both sites were identical. However, the extracted coke on the metal site was more easily removable and had lower carbon numbers than that on the support site. Moreover, the addition of promoter, especially of K promoter, was sensitive to inhibit the probability of chain growth, resulting in the reduction of the amount of coke.

      • Expression of Matrix Metalloproteinase-1,2,3 and Type IV Collagen in Gastric Adenocarcinoma : Influence on Lymph Node Metastasis and Prognosis

        Background : During tumor invasion and metastasis, cancer cells traverse the barriers of the extracellular matrix, basement membranes and interstitial stroma, and gain access to the lymphatics and blood vessels for further dissemination. Although matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) is believed to play an important role in these processes of several solid tumors, little is known in the gastric adenocarcinoma. Methods : Immunohistochemical staining using monoclonal antibodies to MMP-1(interstitial collagenase), MMP-2(type IV collagenase), MMP-3(stromelysin) and type IV collagen were performed in eighty paraffin blocks of the primary gastric adenocarcinoma tissue, and analysed the correlation with lympn node metastasis and survival. Gastric adenoma and benign gastric ulcer tissues were used as control. Results : 1. The immunoreactivity for MMP-1 in the gastric adenocarcinoma was observed in the stromal fibroblasts, cancer cells, neutrophils and monocytes. The increased immunoreactivity was not correlated with lymph node metastasis(P=0.4170), but correlated with prognosis(P=0.0063). 2. The immunoreactivity for MMP-2 in the gastric adenocarcinoma was observed in the stromal fibroblasts and vascular basement membranes. The increased immunoreactivity was correlated with lymph node metastasis(P=0.0517, Odd's ratio=2.274) and prognosis(P=0.0001). 3. The immunoreactivity for MMP-3 in the gastric adenocarcinoma was observed in the stromal fibroblasts and ascular basement membranes. The increased immunoreactivity was not correlated with lymph node metastasis(P=0.4508), but correlated with prognosis(P=0.0003). 4. The immunoreactivity for type IV collagen in the gastic adenocarcinoma was observed in the vascular basement membranes and tumor basement membranes. The decreased immunoreactivity was correlated with lymph node metastasis(P=0.0002, Odd's ratio=0.194) and prognosis(P=0.0001). 5. The intensity of immunohistochemical staining for MMP-2 in the gastric adenocarcinoma is inversely correlated with that of type IV collagen(Kendall's Tau-b correlation =0.37482, P=0.0001). Conclusion : Our results suggest that MMP-1, 2, 3 are important prognostic factors in human gastric adenocarcinoma. The increased immunoreactivity of MMP-2 and the decreased immunoreactivity of type IV collagen show statistically significant correlation with lymph node metastasis and prognosis. This suggest that the inverse correlation with MMP-2 and type IV collagen is important role in lymph node metastasis of gastric adenocarcinoma. The mechanism responsible for the production of MMP by the host fibroblasts remain obscure and require further investigation. (Korean Journal of Pathology 33(4):251-258, 1999)

        직장 내 괴롭힘 개념 분석: 간호사 대상으로

        목적: 병원 간호사의 직장 내 괴롭힘 개념을 명확하게 속성을 파악하기 위해 연구되었다. 방법: 병원 간호사의 직장 내 괴롭힘의 명확한 개념을 위해 문헌 조사하였다. 워크와 아반떼 개념 분석 방법(1995)을 이용하였다. 결과: 속성은 반복적인 행동, 피해자에게 부정적 영향, 힘의 불균형, 업무 관계로 나타났다. 결론: 간호사의 직장 내 괴롭힘 개념을 파악함으로 직장 내 괴롭힘을 예방하기 위한 도구와 중재를 개발할 수 있다. 좀 더 세부적인 명확한 개념을 위해 질적 연구를 제언한다. Objective: The study conducted to investigate the clear concept of workplace bullying in nursing and define the attribution and clarify the definition of the concept Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted to identify concepts in the relation to bullying in nursing workplace by searching research articles published. Research was conducted using Walker and Avant"s conceptual process Results: It has four defining attributes : 1) the repeated nature of the behavior 2) the negative effect of the behaviour on the victim 3) power imbalance 4) working relationship Conclusion: The meaning of workplace bullying in nursing defined in this study will contribute to develop the workplace bullying in nursing assessment tool and nursing intervention for prevent bullying. More detailed exploration and analysis of the concept through quality research are recommended.

        Chemial proerties of four commercial edible oils of Korea have been determined by this layer chromatography and spectrophotometer. Results obtained have been cernpared, for four seed oils, wich those obtained by soxhlet. Separation of unsaponifiable matters of those edible oils were stuied by reversed Phase Thin layer chromatgraphy employing of Silicagel G as the adsorbent.

        This paper provided to solve the interface between CIM and MIS database system design procedure and their solutions. There are many changes to processing the management data using computer systems, but a few studies are developed to integrated processing the huge information data. According to this situation, distributed data management becomes managed by integrated information processing system. And the manufacturing information has been developed separately with their own work flow and characteristics. It makes difficult to rebuild integrated control. Therefore this study invokes standardization of all data transaction and management there procedure.

        Essential oil pharmaceuticals for killing ectoparasites on dogs

        Background: External parasites, particularly ticks and fleas, are among the most common problems affecting dogs. Chemical medicines are commonly used to prevent and eliminate such external parasites, but their improper use can cause adverse reactions, and the toxins they contain may remain in the environment. Objectives: The objective of this study was to investigate the in vitro efficacy of Zanthoxylum limonella, citronella, clove, peppermint, and ginger essential oils against dog ticks and fleas and to test the sensitivity of dogs’ skin to these essential oils. Methods: The five essential oils were tested for in vitro efficacy against ticks and fleas, and the two most effective essential oils were then tested on the dogs’ skin. Results: The results revealed that these five essential oils at 16% concentrations effectively inhibited the spawning of female engorged ticks. In addition, all five essential oils had a strong ability to kill tick larvae at concentrations of 2% upward. Furthermore, 4% concentrations of the five essential oils quickly eliminated fleas, especially clove oil, which killed 100% of fleas within 1 h. A 50%, 90%, and 99% lethal concentration (LC50, LC90, and LC99) for the essential oils on tick larvae in 24 h were found to be low values. LC50, LC90, and LC99 for the essential oils on flea in 1 h was lowest values. Clove oil at 16% concentration was the most satisfactory essential oil for application on dogs’ skin, with a low percentage of adverse effects. Conclusions: This study confirmed the effectiveness of essential oils for practical use as tick and flea repellents and eliminators. Essential-oil-based pharmaceutical can replace chemical pesticides and provide benefits for both consumers and the environment.
