        영유아교사의 그릿, 정서적 지원, 교사전문성 간의 구조적 관계

        본 연구의 목적은 영유아교사의 그릿, 정서적 지원, 교사전문성 간의 구조적 관계를 파악하는 것이다. 본 연구는 서울 및 경기도 소재 유치원 및 어린이집에 근무하는 영유아교사 503명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0와 AMOS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하였으며, 구조방정식 모형을 사용한 변인 간의 구조적 관계를 탐색하였다. 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 영유아교사의 그릿과 정서적 지원은 교사전문성에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 영유아교사의 그릿은 정서적 지원을 매개로 교사전문성에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 영유아교사의 그릿이 교사전문성에 직결되는 요인이며, 영유아교사의 그릿은 교사 주변인의 교사에 대한 정서적 지원을 이끌어냄을 통해 교사전문성 향상에 중요한 역할을 하고 있음을 확인하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 영유아교사의 교사전문성 증진을 위한 그릿 수준의 향상 및 강화 방안에 대해 논의하였다. The purposes of this study were to examine the structural relationship of grit, emotional support, and teacher professionalism of early childhood teachers. The participants were 503 early childhood teachers working at kindergartens and daycare centers located in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do province. The collected data were performed Structural Equation Modeling analysis using SPSS 25.0 and AMOS 25.0 programs. The major results of this study are as follows: First, early childhood teachers' grit and emotional support had a significant positive effect on teacher professionalism. Second, early childhood teachers' grit had an indirect effect on the relationship between teacher professionalism through emotional support. In conclusion, this study showed that the grit of early childhood teachers is directly related to teacher professionalism, and the grit of early childhood teachers has an important influence on the improvement of teacher professionalism through the emotional support of teachers by persons around the teachers. Based on the results of this study, the improvement and reinforcement of the grit level for the improvement of teacher professionalism of early childhood teachers were discussed.

      • Multimodal learning: How task types affect learning of students with reading difficulties

        Purpose: The prevalence of multimedia technology in the current educational settings has increased the need for investigating how individual differences such as reading difficulties moderate multimedia learning. Given that instructional designs closely interact with task characteristics and requirements, we aimed to explore how students with reading difficulties perform various types of learning tasks within the context of multimedia instruction. Methods: College students with and without reading difficulties viewed a multimedia lesson on stem cell research while their eye movements were recorded. After viewing the multimedia slides, students completed four tasks pertaining to the content provided in the lesson. Results: Students with reading difficulties performed poorer than their peers on the procedural task while the groups’ performance did not differ on definitional, infographic, and argumentative tasks. Further, there was no difference in the eye fixation counts and gaze duration between the two groups. Conclusions: Our findings underscore the importance of an awareness that the types of tasks used to assess students’ knowledge may impact their performance. Information of this nature may be useful in determining optimal learning experiences for students with learning difficulties.

        Reflexion sur l’enseignement de la litterature francaise centre sur l’apprenant

        본 연구는 학습자들의 요구를 반영한 프랑스문학 교육에 대한 필요성을 강조하고 그 방안에 대해 성찰하며 학습자 중심의 프랑스문학 교육의 토대를 마련하는데 목적이 있다. 우선 프랑스문학 교수법의 방향성을 설정하기 위해 설문지를 통해 프랑스문학 교육에 대한 학습자(A2-B1)의 요구를 파악하고 인터뷰를 통해 그 이유에 대해서도 조사하였다. 프랑스문학 강의에서 문학사나 비평과 같은 지식을 배우기를 원하는 학생은 극히 소수(5%)였고, 프랑스 문학과 문화를 실용화 하는데 필요한 역량(50%)과 프랑스어 능력의 함양(45%)을 원하는 학생들이 대부분이었다. 이러한 그들의 요구는 현대사회가 학문의 실용성을 강조하며 통합적 인재를 요구하고 있는데도 불구하고, 여전히 문학의 순수성과 독립성을 고집하며 절대지식 중심의 수동적 강의를 하고 있는 교육 현장에 대한 거부감에서 비롯된다. 그리고 학습자의 눈높이를 고려하지 않은 원서 해독 또는 프랑스어 능력 함양이 배제된 번역서 강독으로 이루어지는 문학 강의의 실태에서 기인한다. 따라서 교수는 학습자들을 유희적이고 능동적인 학습활동으로 이끌면서 언어 능력 뿐만 아니라 문학 분석 및 응용을 통해 현대사회에 필요한 창의력을 함양시키는데 주력할 필요가 있다. 이에 첫째, 외국어 학습과 문학작품의 관계에 대해 살펴보면서 CECRL이 권장하는 ‘행위중심적 관점(언어적, 비언어적 능력을 활용하면서 협업을 통해 목표과제를 완수)’을 통한 문학 교육에 대해 숙고하였다. 둘째, 문학의 실용화 방안으로 문학작품을 바탕으로 한 문화콘텐츠 개발에 대해 모색하면서, 이를 위해 어문학 이론에 대한 학습 및 활용이 어떠한 점에서 유용한지 성찰하였다. 셋째, 문학의 실용화를 고려하면서 문학작품의 구조 및 의미를 분석하는 활동과 프랑스어 능력의 향상을 도모하는 활동을 조화롭고 효과적으로 결합하는 수업 방안에 대해 제안하였다. 이를 위한 강의 교재로서 동화가 적합한 이유를 설명하고 기호-서사이론이 동화 분석뿐만 아니라 문화콘텐츠 개발 시 하나의 도구가 될 수 있음을 밝히면서, 문학의 실용화와 행위중심접근법에 의거해 학습자들이 동화를 연극화 하고, 다소 비전문가적인 수준이지만 광고화 할 수 있도록 강의를 설계하는 것이 중요함을 강조하였다.

      • Murmur-adaptive compression technique for phonocardiogram signals

        <P>As mobile and wearable health technologies have evolved, constant monitoring of bio-signals from patients has become important for accurate diagnosis using mobile and remote health services. As the need for constant monitoring of bio-signals increases, the amount of bio-signal data also increases, therefore an efficient compression method for specific bio-signals should be developed. In contrast to other types of signals, bio-signals contain important diagnostic information that should not be removed during compression. An effective compression algorithm for phonocardiogram (PCG) signals that contain important diagnostic information (murmur) is proposed. In this algorithm, the murmur is first estimated, then an adaptive thresholding scheme is applied in the wavelet domain to the normal portions and the murmur portions of PCGs depending on the murmur estimates during compression. Although other conventional compression methods result in substantial loss of murmur information, the proposed method is able to keep most of the murmur information in compressed PCGs.</P>

        Index-based Update Policy for Minimizing Information Mismatch with Markovian Sources

        We consider a scenario where a base station collectstime-varying state information from multiple sources, and makessystem decisions based on the collected information. When theinformation update is constrained to one source at a time, thestate information at the base station can be stale and differentfrom actual state of the sources, in which case the base station canmake a false decision due to the information mismatch (or error). In this paper, we assume that the update decisions are made at thebase station without current state information, and consider theproblem of minimizing the information mismatch under limitedcommunication capability. For two-state Markovian source, weconsider two different types of estimators at the base station,and characterize the optimal update policy. For the symmetriccase, we can obtain the closed-form average cost. Further,with multiple symmetric sources, we show that the problem isindexable and obtain the close-form Whittle’s index for the twodifferent types of estimator.

      • Exploring the Effects of Narration and Pictures on Learning for Sudents with Reading Deficits

        Although narration is frequently recommended for students with reading deficits, benefits of narration have not been empirically investigated, particularly during the multimedia learning instruction. This study was designed to examine the effect of multimedia instruction on the comprehension of students with and without reading deficits. In experiment 1, the comprehension abilities of grade school and college students with typical reading ability and college students with reading deficits were compared on comprehension tasks using a simultaneous narration+picture presentation. In experiment 2, the multimedia conditions were varied: narration+picture, narration+picture+text, narration-only. The performance of college students with reading deficits was affected differentially by the multimedia presentations. They performed as well as their reading able peers in the narration+picture and narration+ picture+text conditions while they exhibited significantly lower comprehension scores than their peers in the narration-only condition, supporting the premise that multimedia presentations facilitate learning in students who face academic challenges.

        Perception of precocious puberty among school-aged children in South Korea with the experience of treatment for precocious puberty: a Q methodological approach

        Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the perceptions of precocious puberty and elucidate the distinct characteristics of each type of perception related to precocious puberty among school-aged children who had undergone treatment for the condition. Methods: This study applied the Q methodology to identify and classify the perceptions of precocious puberty among school-aged children who had undergone treatmentfor the condition. The analysis involved 34 questions from the Q sample and data from 35 individuals in the P sample, using the PC-QUANL Program for analysis. Results: The perceptions of precocious puberty among school-aged children who had undergone precocious puberty treatment were classified into the following four types: "shyness - passive self-management," "resentment - suppression," "anxiety - fear," and "adaptation - acceptance." Conclusion: This study investigated the experiences and perceptions of children who have undergone treatment for precocious puberty. Through the identification of four types of perceptions, we can see that there is a need to develop an intervention program for nursing that is tailored to the specific type of precocious puberty.
