<▼1><P>A missense mutation of <I>KARRIKIN-INSENSITIVE2</I>, <I>KAI2</I><SUP><I>ply2</I></SUP>, compromises its ligand-binding activity, which subsequently impairs KAI2-signaling and multiple aspects of light-dependent responses.</P></▼1><▼2><P><B>Abstract</B></P><P>A smoke-derived compound, karrikin (KAR), and an endogenous but as yet unidentified KARRIKIN INSENSITIVE2 (KAI2) ligand (KL) have been identified as chemical cues in higher plants that impact on multiple aspects of growth and development. Genetic screening of light-signaling mutants in <I>Arabidopsis thaliana</I> has identified a mutant designated as <I>ply2</I> (<I>pleiotropic long hypocotyl2</I>) that has pleiotropic light-response defects. In this study, we used positional cloning to identify the molecular lesion of <I>ply2</I> as a missense mutation of <I>KAI2</I>/<I>HYPOSENSITIVE TO LIGHT</I>, which causes a single amino acid substitution, Ala219Val. Physiological analysis and genetic epistasis analysis with the KL-signaling components <I>MORE AXILLARY GROWTH2</I> (<I>MAX2</I>) and <I>SUPPRESSOR OF MAX2 1</I> suggested that the pleiotropic phenotypes of the <I>ply2</I> mutant can be ascribed to a defect in KL-signaling. Molecular and biochemical analyses revealed that the mutant KAI2<SUP>ply2</SUP> protein is impaired in its ligand-binding activity. In support of this conclusion, X-ray crystallography studies suggested that the <I>KAI2</I><SUP><I>ply2</I></SUP> mutation not only results in a narrowed entrance gate for the ligand but also alters the structural flexibility of the helical lid domains. We discuss the structural implications of the Ala219 residue with regard to ligand-specific binding and signaling of KAI2, together with potential functions of KL-signaling in the context of the light-regulatory network in <I>Arabidopsis thaliana</I>.</P></▼2>

Online supporters are the group of people selected by companies for the online promotion of their products or services and focus on generating messages that are conducive to stimulating hands-on experiences with companies` products and services to create advertising effects. This study examined how reviews offered by blogs operated by fashion brands` online supporters influence consumer`s brand attitudes and purchase intentions. Specifically, this study examined how brand awareness and directions of review messages influences consumers` brand attitudes and purchase intentions. This study employed a 2 (brand awareness: high awareness vs. low awareness) X 3 (review direction: one-sided positive, two-sided positive & negative, one-sided negative) between-subject factorial design. In total, 180 respondents participated, thus garnering 30 responses for each of the six conditions. The results of two-way ANOVA revealed the significant main effect supporters` review message direction on consumers` brand attitudes and purchase intentions. Two-sided messages were rated high for brand attitude and purchase intention compared to one-sided positive or negative or positive directions. The interactions between brand reputation and message direction were significant for brand attitude, but not for purchase intention.
Fast Upward Propagation of the Wound Signal That Systemically Elevates Phosphatidic Acid

Phosphatidic acid (PA) increases in response to wounding at the neighboring unwounded leaf as well as at the wounded leaf of many plants (Lee et al., 1997). This indicates that a signal propagates from the wounded leaf to its neighboring leaves. In this paper, we report the speed and direction of propagation for a systemic wound signal that elevates PA. When a leaf of a soybean (Glycine max) seedling at the 2-leaf-stage was wounded, the PA level of the neighboring leaf did not change within the first min, but did increase significantly in 2 min, returning to the control level after 15 min. This implies that the systemic wound signal was generated at least within 2 min of wounding, and was propagated at a speed of at least 10-16 ㎜/min. When we wounded individual leaves of soybean and tobacco (Nicotiana tabaccum) seedlings that had 3 or 4 leaves, PA levels were elevated only in the younger leaves located above the wounded leaf, but not in the older, lower leaves. Thus, the PA-elevating wound signal preferentially moves upward in these plants.

최근 많은 완성차 업체들이 자율주행 3단계 차량을 출시하고 있다. 2022 년 현재 상용화된 차량은 2 단계가 대부분이지만 머지않아 많은 차량들이 자율주행 3 단계 기술을 탑재하게 될 것이다. 많은 기업들이 자율주행 4 단계인 완전인공지능 주행시스템을 연구하고 있지만 사실 아직까지 3 단계와 4 단계 사이의 간극을 좁히는데는 사람의 개입이 불가피하다. 〈표 본문 참조〉 본 연구에서는 이 간극을 극복하기 위한 사용자 경험 디자인을 제안한다. 이를 위해 첫번째로 NHRS에서 정의한 자율주행 단계를 기반으로 주행자의 역할과 사고 발생시 책임 소재를 명시하고 원격으로 주행하는 시스템의 필요성과 기능 및 역할을 기술한다. 두번째 장에서는 대리 주행 시스템과 유사한 환경과 사용자 경험을 정의하고 대리주행을 위한 모바일 환경 사용자 경험 인터페이스를 설정하고자 한다.

‘캐리’는 운전에 어려움을 느끼는 초보 운전자와 장롱면허자의 안전운전을 위해 고안된 어플리케이션이다. ‘캐리’ 어플과 차량용 인공지능 스피커를 통해서 보다 안전하고, 심리적으로 안정된 상황에서 운전을 할 수 있도록 돕는다. 또한, 본 기능을 공유-렌터카 업체와 연동함으로써, 교통사고 발생 빈도가 상대적으로 높은 초보 운전자들에게 합리적인 가격으로 운전 교습을 제공하고, 심리적 안정감을 증진시키는 것을 목표로 한다. 본 논문에서는 ‘캐리" 어플리케이션의 프로토타입을 디자인 하는 과정을 담았으며, 그 과정에서 이루어진 설문조사와 사용성 평가의 결과를 중심으로 기술하였다. 각 평가는 "캐리"가 사용자들의 니즈를 정화하게 충족시키고 있는지, 어플의 디자인이 사용자에게 직관적으로 이용되고 있는지에 대해서 알아보기 위해 진행되었다. 평가는 실제 주행 환경이 아닌 테이블 테스트로 진행되었으며, 현재는 모듈 완성 이후 테스트 차량을 통한 사용자 평가와 AI Agent Device 베타 버전 평가를 진행중이다.
