About 15-20% of ovarian tumors are teratomas. Struma ovarii is a highly specialized form of ovarian teratoma, in which thyroid tissue is the predominant element. It is rare, comprising about 2% of all teratomas, and malignant transformation occurs in less than 5% of struma ovarii. Among the malignant struma ovarii, papillary type is the most common histologic type. However, because of the rarity of malignant struma ovarii, there is considerable confusion concerning management. Recently, the authors experienced a case of papillary thyroid carcinoma arising in struma ovarii found in a postmenopausal woman who presented with adnexal mass and underwent laparoscopic unilateral salpingoophorectomy. Therefore, we report this rare case with a brief review of the literature.
글로벌 공급망 압력 지수가 우리나라 수출입 품목별 물동량에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

COVID-19로 인한 물류대란 이후 공급망 관리가 중요한 화두로 떠오른 가운데, GSCPI를 활용한 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 하지만, GSCPI가 우리나라 수출입 품목별 물동량에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 VARM과 VCEM을 통해 GSCPI가 우리나라 32개의 수출입 품목별 물동량에 미치는 영향을 알아보았다. 분석결과, 기계류 및 그부품, 차량 및 그부품 품목 등은 GSCPI의 후행시차에 대하여 양(+)의 영향이 있는 반면, 석유 정제품, 석유가스 및 기타가스, 철강 및 그제품 품목 등은 음(-)의 영향이 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 수출입 기업이 SCM 전략을 실행하는데 있어 중요한 시사점을 제공한다. Global Supply Chain Pressure Index(GSCPI) measures transportation cost data and manufacturing indicators to provide a criterion of global supply chain conditions. It usually has been used to analyze the importance of supply constraints concerning economic outcomes. As a result of the VARM(Vector Auto-Regressive Model) and VECM(Vector Error Correction Model), this study uncovered how GSCPI affects the import and export throughput in South Korea. In particular, the study divided total throughput into 32 things according to the Port-mis. Based on these results, this paper may provide practical policy implications for enterprises and government.

Nutcracker esophagus is thought to be a common cause of noncardiac chest pain although has not been clearly established, and the effective treatment is lacking. The usual forms of therapy for noncardiac chest pain by nutcracker esophagus have been directed traditionally toward reducing esophageal hypermotility and muscle tone such as nitrate and calcium channel blocker. However, the results of this treatment in the long term care of patient with esophageal symptoms have been generally disappointing and often unsatisfactory. Recently, psychosomatic aspect of esophageal motility disorder including antidepressant treatment has been accepted in the treatment of noncardiac chest pain. We report a 48 year old female with nutcracker esophagus associated chest pain by ambulatory 24 hour esophageal manometry who failed diagnosis by conventional manometry. The symptoms of chest pain, quality of life, and depression of the patient were improved after antidepressant medication. (Korean Journal of Gastrointestinal Motility 2001;7:227-232)

It is the best way that to make an inundation map and distribute it to inhabitants for the purpose of decreasing damage of tsunami. To make an inundation map, tsunami which broughthuge damage to Korea should be properly investigated and maximum inundation zonewas selected by simulating tsunami phenomenan. An inundation map must involve the location of shelters and evacuation routes. New evacuation simulation program connected evacuation simulation procedure and tsunami inundation procedure to get inhabitants` evacuation states in real-time.

Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 5A (eIF5A) is the only hypusine-containing protein, which is formed by deoxyhypusine synthase (DHS) and deoxyhypusine hydroxylase (DOHH). DOHH is a novel metalloenzyme with HEAT [named for human huntingtin (H), elongation factor 3 (E), a subunit of protein phosphatase 2A (A), and the target of rapamycin (T)]-repeat motifs. Inspite of much progress in determining the roles of iron-containing DOHH holoenzyme as an eIF5A hydroxylase, little is known about iron-free apoenzyme of DOHH under certain stress conditions. For this purpose, we compared cell growth in two yeast strains subjected to oxidative damage. Thus, the existence of more viable cells in the Saccharomyces cerevisiae BY4743 (parental yeast) strain than in the DOHH- strain after $H_2O_2$ treatment indicates the importance of DOHH in protecting yeast cells against oxidative stress. To identify endogenous target proteins influenced by DOHH under oxidative damage, proteomic analysis was applied to the two yeast strains. Of these proteins, the oxidized form of peroxiredoxin I (PrxI) was concomitantly up-regulated in both strains under $H_2O_2$ treatment. Two-dimensional electrophoresis (DE) followed by immunoblot analysis shows that the recovery of the oxidized PrxI to the reduced enzyme under $H_2O_2$ treatment was found to be much slower in the DOHH- strain than in the parental strain. Based on the results, we discovered a possible interaction between DOHH and PrxI by immunoprecipitation/immunoblotting in yeast under oxidative stress. Taken together, these results suggest that DOHH might be a candidate protein for protection of yeast cells against oxidative stress in conjunction with PrxI.

<P>New deep blue fluorescent emitters composed of anthracene as an electron rich unit, a diphenyltriazine as a strong electron acceptor unit, and phenyl or xylene as interconnecting units were synthesised. The interconnecting unit between chromophores increased the singlet transition energy and the ratio of horizontal emitting dipoles. As a result, a non-doped blue fluorescent organic light-emitting diode (OLED) using a new emitter was demonstrated, with an external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 6.6% and Commision Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) colour coordinates of (0.145, 0.068). This device performance has been the highest EQE observed in deep blue non-doped OLEDs with CIE coordinates less than (0.145, 0.068) to date.</P>

<P>For the application of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) to optoelectronic nanodevices, it is of critical importance to understand the mechanisms which result in novel phenomena of their light absorption/emission. Here, we present size-dependent shape/edge-state variations of GQDs and visible photoluminescence (PL) showing anomalous size dependences. With varying the average size (d(a)) of GQDs from 5 to 35 nm, the peak energy of the absorption spectra monotonically decreases, while that of the visible PL spectra unusually shows nonmonotonic behaviors having a minimum at d(a) = ~17 nm. The PL behaviors can be attributed to the novel feature of GQDs, that is, the circular-to-polygonal-shape and corresponding edge-state variations of GQDs at d(a) = ~17 nm as the GQD size increases, as demonstrated by high-resolution transmission electron microscopy.</P>
