This paper is to examine the dynamic relationship between export specialization and technological capabilities of renewable energy technology sectors, especially focusing on bio, wind and solar energy, using panel data from 21 OECD countries (1993-2008). Several panel unit root and cointegration tests are applied, and cross-sectional dependence is detected in the case of solar energy technologies. Subsequently, the long-run technological capacity elasticity is computed using the dynamic OLS and pooled mean group (PMG) techniques in the case of bio and wind energy technologies confirmed that there are co-movements among the variables. Panel system GMM estimations were conducted to avoid the correlation and endogeneity problems in the model. Then, based on the first difference GMM estimation results, causality is determined by running Wald tests on the coefficients of variables. There are solid and convincing evidence of a long-run relationship between export specialization and technological capabilities in bio and wind energy technologies. There is no causal relationship running from technological capabilities to export specialization but there is a positive causal relationship running from export specialization to technological capabilities in the case of bio and wind energy technology sectors. There is no bidirectional causal relationship between the two variables in solar energy technology. The results suggest that countries should instead set up long-run public policies to promote exports of renewable energy technologies. In particular, technological capabilities should continue to be directed toward creating reliable elasticity with regard to exports.

The stationary engines are widely used as power supplies for GHP or CHP, Micro generation system. but, the engine is used with diesel engine at the stationary engine system because of their rapid response to operation, high reliability, and good durability. However, diesel engines also have the disadvantage as well as high level of vibration and noise. So, the stationary is changed from diesel engine to alternative gas fuel(LPG, CNG, or DME) engine. This paper shows experiments and analysis for the vibration characteristics of changed combustion condition on the stationary engine used LPG fuel.
Fabrication and Characterization of an Enhancement-Mode Planar Resonant Tunneling Transistor

<P>We report the fabrication and characterization of a planar resonant tunneling transistor (PRTT) using a GaAs/AlGaAs heterostructure wafer. Our PRTT operates as an enhancement-mode device, and shows the negative differential resistance (NDR) modulated with the gate bias in an extremely wide range (from the fully depleted dot to the dot in a single-electron transistor regime). This NDR spectrum represents a full, gate-bias-modulated evolution of the 0-D states in a quantum dot. Our data are also consistent with the ground (<I>E</I> <SUB>1</SUB>) and the first excited state (<I>E</I> <SUB>2</SUB>) of the Fock-Darwin states.</P>

Soft mold imprinting method that uses nanostructured polymer mold was investigated for anti-reflection film fabrication. The nanostructured soft mold was polyethylene terephthalate(PET) irradiated by oxygen ion beams. The collisional energy transfer between oxygen ion and the polymer surface induced cross-linking and scission reactions, resulting in self-organized nanostructures with regular patterns of the wavenumber of 5 μm<SUP>-1</SUP>. Post processes including ultra-violet curable resin coating and delamination fabricated anti-reflection films. The imprinted resin surface also showed the consistent wavenumber, 5 μm<SUP>-1</SUP>. Pristine PET, oxygen ion beam treated PET, and imprinted replica sample showed total transmittance of 91.04, 93.25, and 93.57-93.88%, respectively.

Plasma devices such as jets, pencils, and torches have been developed as new tools that help penetration of target agents and applied to plasma medicine. However, these devices cannot be used in a large area. Therefore, we introduced a flexible plasma device, which can be treated of large area and designed as bendable plasma. In additional, in vitro model based on agarose gel was prepared that can be show effectiveness in the depth of penetration. Plasma treatment conditions such as power, time and distance can be optimized on the agarose gel wound model. The chemical structure of changed polysaccharides was predicted due to reactive excited atoms and molecules, UV photons, charged particles and reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS).
