      • 비소세포 폐암 환자의 이차 치료로서 Gemcitabine과 Vinorelbine 혼합 요법의 효과

        Background : Both gemcitabine and vinorelbine are effective anticancer drugs with mild toxicity on non-small cell lung cancer, and monotherapy of these drugs are effective as a second-line chemotherapy. The aim of this trial was to assess the response and toxicity of a combination of gemcitabine and vinorelbine in patients of previously treated for non-small cell lung cancer. Materials and Methods : 24 patients, initial stage III A/B,IV and previously treated with platinium and taxane based regimens, were enrolled from June 2000 to March 2004. The regimens consisted of vinorelbine 25mg/㎡ followed by an infusion of gemcitabine 1000mg/㎡ on day 1 and day 8 every three weeks. This course was repeated more than twice. Results : Twenty-four patients were analyzed for the response, survival rate, and toxicities. The overall response was 17% with a complete remission rate of 4%. The median time-to progression (TTP) was 3.1 months (95%, CI l-10months), and the survival time was 8.2 months (95%, CI 1-23 months). The grade 3/4 toxicities encountered were neutropenia (12.5%), anemia (0%), thrombocytopenia (0%). Non-hematological 3/4 toxicities were not observed. Conclusion : A combination of gemcitabine and vinorelbine in patients previously treated for non-small cell lung cancer provides a relatively good response rate, and a low toxicity profile. However, further study will be needed to confirm its effectiveness. (Tuberc Respir Dis 2005; 58: 344-351) 배경 : Gemcitabine, paditaxel, docetaxel, vinorelbine, ir-rinotecan 새로운 항종양제의 출현으로 일차 치료의효과가 증대 되고 있고 재발시에도 좋은 신체 활동도를 보이고 있어서 이차 치료의 대상군도 늘어나는 효과를 보이고 있다. 치료의 필요성은 증대 되고 있지만 현재까지 표준 치료가 확립되지 않은 상황에서 Gem-citabine과Vinorelbine모두 독성이 강하지 않아서 혼합 요법이 가능한 장점이 있고 비소세포 폐암에 대한효과도 입증이 되어있어서 본 연구는 반응이 없거나 반응을 보인후에 재발된 진행된 비소세포 폐암에 ge-mdtabine과 vinorelbine 흔합 요법을 시행하여서 치료 반응률과 생존율 그리고 부작용을 평가하였다. 대상 및 방법 :2000년 6월부터 2004년 3월까지 충남대학교병원에내원하여 진행성 비소세포 폐암 IIIA/IIIB, IV로 진단을 받고 일차 항암화학요법치료를 받은 환자중에 초기 치료에 반응이 없거나, 치료에 반응이 있었으나 병이 진행된 환자로 추적 관찰 기간이 6개월 이상인 환자를 대상으로 생존율과 반응률 그리고 독성을 분석하였다. 결과 : 총 치료 반응률은 17%. 반응 유지기간의 중앙값은 3.1개월(1-10개월)이었고 생존기간의 중앙값은 8.2개월 (1-23개월) 그리고 1년 생존율은 35%였다. 항암화학요법에 의한 독성은 3도 이상의 중성구 감소가 12%, 오심과 구토가 12.5% 였다. 결론 : 일차 치료에 반응이 없거나 재발한 비소세포 폐암환자의 이차 치료로 gemcitabine과 vinorelbine 혼합요법은 효과적이라고 생각되며 향후 3상 연구를 통한다른 약제와의 비교 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.

      • Experimental Study of Thermally Activated Magnetization Reversal With a Spin-Transfer Torque in a Nanowire

        <P>The current-induced domain-wall depinning in ferromagnetic nanowires with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is investigated. The nanowire patterns with 500-nm width are fabricated from 8-nm-thick Co-Re-Pt alloy films on 1-nm-thick Ta underlayer. By injecting the current into the nanowire, the domain wall motion via depinning from extrinsic structural pinning sites is observed. The depinning time ranging over 1 mus-1 s is found to be exponentially dependent on the current density. Based on generalized Neel-Brown formula, the slope of the exponential dependence is analyzed to estimate the depinning energy barrier as a function of the current density under a constant bias magnetic field.</P>

      • Lewis Acid Promoted Nucleophilic Substitution Reaction of an Azide to 7-Chloro-6-(N-isopropylamino) quinoline-5,8-dione

        The novel 7-amino-6-(N-isopropylamino)quinoline-5,8-dione (6), a modified portion of the potent antitumor agent lavendamycin, was synthesized in 32% overall yields in six stems from the commercially available 8-hydroxyquinoline. The key step is a nucleophilic substitution of the chlorine atom of 7-chloro-6-(N-isopropylamino)quinoline-5,8-dione (4) with an azide in the presence of Lewis acid (AlCl₃). Reduction of the 7-azido-6-(N-isopropylamino)quinoline-5,8-dione under hydrogen atmosphere provided the title compound which showed a potent in vitro antitumor activity in five different human tumor cell lines.

        부모의 창의적 성격특성과 양육신념이 유아의 창의성에 미치는 영향

        본 연구에서는 부모의 창의적 성격특성과 양육신념이 유아의 창의성 발달과 어떤 관계가 있으며 어느 정도 영향을 미치는가를 규명하였다. 연구대상은 전주시에 소재한 유치원과 어린이집의 만 5세에서 만 6세의 유아 196명과 이들의 어머니, 아버지를 대상으로 하였다. 조사도구로서는 유아의 창의성을 측정하기 위한 창의적 사고력 검사, 부모의 창의적 성격특성 검사, 부모의 양육신념 척도 등의 세 가지를 활용하였다.연구결과, 부모의 창의적 성격특성과 유아의 창의성 그리고 부모의 양육신념과 유아의 창의성은 유의한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 부모변인을 구성하는 2개 하위변인이 유아의 창의성을 설명하는 전체 변량은 약 69%이며, 이 중 ‘양육신념’이 약 56%를 설명하고 있으며, 계속하여 추가로 ‘창의적 성격특성’이 13%를 설명해 주는 것으로 나타났다. 부모가 자녀의 자율성과 독립성을 강조하는 양육신념을 지닐수록 유아의 창의성도 발휘된다는 연구결과에 기초하여, 유아의 창의적 인성을 발달시키기 위해서는 부모가 자녀의 자율성과 독립성을 존중해주고 촉진시켜 주는 것이 중요하다는 결론을 도출하였다. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among parent`s creative characteristics, parent`s child-rearing beliefs, and children`s creativity. Another purpose of this study is to examine the effects of parent`s creative characteristics, but also parent`s child-rearing beliefs on the children`s creativity. Research was conducted on 196 children(age 5) and their parents in kindergartens in Chonju, Chonbuk Province. Data was anlyzed using percentages, averages, standard variations, Pearson`s r, and stepwise multiple regression. Statistical analysis of this study revealed several intriguing findings on two major questions. They can be summarized as follows; First, there was a significant positive correlation between parent`s creative characteristics and children`s creativity. Also, there was a significant positive correlation between parent`s child-rearing beliefs and children`s creativity. Second, for the effect of parent`s creative characteristics and parent`s child-rearing beliefs on the children`s creativity are 69% of which parent`s child-rearing beliefs(56%) and parent`s creative characteristics (13%) has a grear effect. Fanally, the level of children`s creativity related to parent`s child-rearing beliefs increase when parent`s autonomous and independent beliefs refers to children out of the specific parents` child-rearing beliefs, so these children can increase creativity when parent give children more autonomous and independent.

        Isolation of hyperthermal stress responsive genes in soft coral (Scleronephthya gracillimum)

        The extensive isolation of genes responsive to hyperthermal stress conditions in soft coral (Scleronephthya gracillimum) is described. Soft coral colonies were exposed to high seawater temperature conditions. Gene candidates whose transcript levels changed in response to hyperthermal conditions were identified by differential display polymerase chain reaction (DD-PCR). Twenty-four types of candidate genes were identified, 18 of which were upregulated in expression and 6 of which were downregulated. The genes were found to function in post-translational modification, protein turnover and chaperones (O); translation, ribosomal structure and biogenesis (J); signal transduction mechanisms (T); defense mechanisms (V); inorganic ion transport and metabolism (P); energy production and conversion (C); cytoskeleton (Z); cell cycle control, cell division and chromosome partitioning (D); lipid transport and metabolism (I); chromatin structure and dynamics (B); transcription (K); replication, recombination and repair (L); secondary metabolites biosynthesis, transport and catabolism (Q); extracellular structures (W); general function prediction (R); and finally, unknown function (S) based on KOG classification. Among these candidates, their expressional changes were confirmed by real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR). These 24 isolated gene candidates were differentially expressed and therefore have great potential as molecular biomarkers for the identification of environmental stressors.
