        단기교육으로 시행가능한 심실기능평가법

        Background: The initial history, physical examination, and ECG assessment should focus on identification of potentially serious noncardiac or cardiac disorders, including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, and electrical instability at the emergency room. additionally, it is essential to define disease severity, stability and need for emergency therapy. echocardiography is a useful tool for this purpose. especially Doppler echocardiography may be more sensitive and time-saving diagnostic tool for the evaluation of patients presenting with cardiogenic symptoms. So we evaluate the feasibility of the echocardiographic measurement by emergency physicain after short-term course. Method and Results: Twenty volunteers(10 male, 38.8±9.3 years) were included in the study for measurement of myocardial performance index and established parameters of ventricular function using conventional echo-Doppler methods. Myocardial performance index: (ICT+IRT)/ET, was obtained by subtracting ejection time(ET) from the interval between cessation and onset of the mitral inflow velocity to give the sum of isovolumic contraction time(ICT) and isovolumic relaxation time(IRT). The most of mean values of echocardiogrphic parameters were not significantly different between those of cardiologist and those of emergency physicians(p<0.01). The duration for measuring myocardial performance index was shortest among echocardiographic parameters. the validity of echocardiographic parameters measured by emergency physicians was proved relatively good. Conclusion: It is proved to be feasible for emergency physician to perform echocardiographic evaluation of ventricular function after short-term course

        Evaluation of Renal Toxicity by Combination Exposure to Melamine and Cyanuric Acid in Male Sprague-Dawley Rats

        Melamine-induced nephrotoxicity is closely associated with crystal formation in the kidney caused by combined exposure to melamine (Mel) and cyanuric acid (CA). However, there are few dosage-finding studies for toxicological evaluation of chronic co-exposure to Mel and CA. The objective of this study was to investigate the possible mechanism by which a Mel and CA mixture lead to renal toxicity in rats. Mel and CA were co-administered to rats via oral gavage for 50 days. Nephrotoxicity was determined by measuring blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and serum creatinine (sCr) levels. Relative kidney weights were significantly increased in rats after co-exposure to Mel+CA (63/6.3 or 630/6.3 mg/kg) mixtures. BUN and sCr levels were significantly increased after Mel and CA co-exposure. Taken together, significant increase in KIM-1, NGAL, and calbindin levels were observed in the urine of rats exposed to Mel+CA (63/6.3 or 630/6.3 mg/kg) compared with the corresponding control group. Histological analysis revealed epithelial degeneration and necrotic cell death in the proximal tubules of the kidney after co-exposure to Mel+CA (63/6.3 or 630/6.3 mg/kg). Our data suggest that Mel-mediated renal toxicity may be influenced by CA concentrations in Mel-contaminated milk or foods.

        Original Articles : Clinical significance of occult hepatitis B virus infection in chronic hepatitis C patients

        Background/Aims: We investigated the frequency of occult hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in anti-hepatitis C virus (HCV)-positive individuals and the effects of occult HBV infection on the severity of liver disease. Methods: Seventy-one hepatitis B virus surface-antigen (HBsAg)-negative patients were divided according to their HBV serological status into groups A (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs negative; n=18), B (anti-HBc positive, anti-HBs positive; n=34), and C (anti-HBc negative, anti-HBs positive/negative; n=19), and by anti-HCV positivity (anti-HCV positive; n=32 vs. anti-HCV negative; n=39). Liver biopsy samples were taken, and HBV DNA was quantified by real-time PCR. Results: Intrahepatic HBV DNA was detected in 32.4% (23/71) of the entire cohort, and HBV DNA levels were invariably low in the different groups. Occult HBV infection was detected more frequently in the anti-HBc-positive patients. Intrahepatic HBV DNA was detected in 28.1% (9/32) of the anti-HCV-positive and 35.9% (14/39) of the anti-HCV-negative subjects. The HCV genotype did not affect the detection rate of intrahepatic HBV DNA. In anti-HCV-positive cases, occult HBV infection did not affect liver disease severity. Conclusions: Low levels of intrahepatic HBV DNA were detected frequently in both HBsAg-negative and anti-HCV-positive cases. However, the frequency of occult HBV infection was not affected by the presence of hepatitis C, and occult HBV infection did not have a significant effect on the disease severity of hepatitis C.         The method burning completely the sulfur, by using the vanadium pentoxide in a current of the oxygen free of the sulfur dioxide, is employed to form sulfur trioxide. The sulfur trioxide in this gas mixture is absorbed by hydrogen peroxide solution and then converted to sulfuric acid. The sulfur is determined by titrating the sulfuric acid with standard sodium hydroxide solution after eliminating the carbon dioxide on warming.

      • 합기도 수련생의 수련 지속 요인에 관한 연구

        This study investigated participants who have taken part in Hapkido continuously, in view of age, carrier in exercise, and gender and then analysed how these factors affect continuous participation in Hapkido. 1) The significant factors which enable the participants to continue Hapkido were revealed as health/physical fitness(71.67%), enjoyment / interrest (58.13%), self-protetio / guard(48.28%), phychological benefits(20.94%) 2) The factors of continuing Hapkido were different in ages, which showed significant differences in phychological benefits, skill fulfilment / challenge, accomplishment / position, charm, recreational activity. The response represented specifically in one or two areas in case of younger participants. The more aged, it showed relatively even distribution to the various responses due to the broaden span of thoughts. 3) The factors of continuing Hapkido were different in carrier, which showed significant differences in self-protection / grard, skill fulfillment / challenge, accomplishment/ position in different experiences in exercise. By the time of reaching first phase and second phase, it is thought to show the psychological effect of continuing exercise unconsciously in various areas. 4) The factors of continuing Hapkido were not different in gender, which implicated the fact that the overall attitude and thoughts on Hapkido of female participants and male participants are similar.

        물리교육 분야 학술지 중 한국물리학회에서 발행한 ‘물리교육’지와 미국물리교육자협회에서 발행된 ‘The Physics Teacher’에 게재된 논문의 내용을 비교·분석한 결과를 바탕으로 국내 물리교육분야 학술지의 문제점을 찾고 그 개선 방안을 제시하였다. We compared ‘Mulli Kyoyuk’ issued by the Korean Physical Society with ‘The Physics Teacher’ issued by the American Association of Physics Teacher. Based on the content comparison of the articles in the two journals, we suggested the solutions to improve journals in physics education in Korea.

      • 수송기계용 복합재 원형튜브의 에너지흡수특성

        본 연구에서는 일 방향 CFRP 복합재 튜브에서 나타나는 상이한 압궤특성의 일관성을 보이고자 하며, 또한 계면수가 에너지 흡수능력의 함수인지 아닌지를 결정하고자 한다. 계면수는 최외층각도 0?를 갖는 4가지 형태(계면수는 2, 3, 6, 7 개)이며, 각 튜브에 압궤하중이 가해졌을 때 그 응답은 압궤과정을 제어하는 상이한 메카니즘 사이에서의 상호작용에 의존하고 그것을 매우 복잡하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 정적 및 충격압궤실험을 행하고, 그 결과 계면함수, g(k)에 대해 정의하였다. 또한 일반적으로 [0/90〕_(2s) 적층된 CFRP 튜브가 더 높은 에너지를 흡수하였으며, 이론적 및 실험적 데이터는 서로 일치하였다. The objective of this paper is to present a consistent description of the different collapse characteristics exhibited by uni-directional CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) composite tubes and determine whether the energy-absorption capability of these tubes is a function interlaminar number. Tube interlaminar number was 4 types (2, 3, 6 and 7) included ply orientation angle of outer was 0. When such tubes are subjected to crushing loads, the response is complex and depends on the interaction between the different mechanisms that control the crushing process. In this study static and impact collapse test were performed and the results have been shown as a function interlaminar number(g(k)). In general, the stacking sequence [0/90〕_(2s) CFRP tubes absorbed more energy than other tubes, theoretical and experimental data were to be likely each other.

      • FEM에 의한 차체구조용 단일모자형 단면부재의 축압궤특성에 관한 연구

        차체전면부 사이드부재는 점용접에 의해서 이루어진 모자형 단면형상을 갖는 강도부재로써, 차량의 전면충돌에 있어서 중요한 역할을 한다. 전면충돌에 있어서 차량의 전면부에서 충분한 에너지를 흡수한다면, 승차자에게 가해지는 충격에너지를 경감시킬 수 있다. 따라서, 이러한 강도부재는 충분한 강성을 가져야 하지만, 적절한 압궤 또한 이루어져야 한다. 본 연구에서는 단일모자형 단면부재에 대하여 플랜지부 점용접 간격을 변화시켜 준정적(0.017m/sec) 및 충격합궤(7.19m.sec, 1034J)하에서 압궤특성을 해석하고자 유한요소 프로그램인 LS-DYNA3D을 이용하여 준정적 및 충격압궤 시뮬레이션을 행하였다. 시뮬레이션은 압궤실험 결과와 비교함으로서 시뮬레이션의 타당성을 학인하였다. The hat shaped section members of vehicles compose the base frame which plays an important role in a front-end collision. It consists of the hat shaped section members with spot welds. In front-end collision, the impact energy for the passengers will be decreased as the front parts of vehicles has sufficiently absorbed energy. And then, this structures have not to be very stiff but collapse progressively to absorb the kinetic energy as expected. In this study. LS-DYNA3D has been used for analyzing collapse characteristics on hat shaped section members with respect to spot weld pitches under quasi-static(0.017m/sec) and impact load(7.19m/sec. 1034J). By comparing the results from simulation and the experimental results. the utilization fo simulation has been certified.
