Differential regulation of TLE3 expression in the mouse testis during postnatal development

Spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs; also known as Asingle [As] spermatogonia in mice) divide to self-renew or to produce progenitor cells known as Apaired(Apr) spermatogonia in basal compartment of seminiferous tubules of mammalian testis. These characterized cells are the finally differentiated product of a developmental process referred to as “spermatogenesis.” In the development of SSCs it is critical to maintain a balance between self-renewal and differentiation. because an excess of either process will lead to infertility. these two processes are tightly controlled by intrinsic signals of SSCs and extrinsic signals from the microenvironment, known as the SSC niche. The SSC niche is formed by Sertoli cells, the only somatic cells found inside the seminiferous tubules. The WNT/β-catenin pathway is known to regulate Sertoli cell functions critical to their capacity to support spermatogenesis in the postnatal testis, but The mechanisms and factors of the pathway are not well known. We found a factor TLE3 (Transducin Like Enhancer Of Split 3). The transcriptional co-repressor TLE family is known to function as transcription co-repressors within the context of Wnt signaling by interacting with histone deacetylase HDAC2. We examined the expression level of TLE3 in various mouse tissues. As a result of RT-PCR, TLE3 showed significantly higher expression in testis than that in other tissues. Immunofluorescent analysis revealed that TLE3 and HDAC2 expression are differentially regulated in the mouse testis during postnatal development. In adult testis, TLE3 and HDAC2 were co-expressed in Sertoli cells. TLE3 and HDAC2 protein are also located in nucleus in mouse TM4 Sertoli cells. Taken together, TLE3 may play a role in regulating WNT/β-catenin pathway via interaction with HDAC2 in Sertoli cell. Futher studies are needed to look into factors that regulated by siTLE3 in Sertoli cell and interated with TLE3 in WNT/β-catenin pathway.

Die Filme aus Zinkoxid‐vernetztem Polydiacetylen waren thermisch und mechanisch stabil und verfügten, neben weiteren vorteilhaften Eigenschaften infolge ihrer 2D‐Struktur, auch über eine hohe Ladungsträgermobilität (>1.3 cm<SUP>2</SUP> V<SUP>−1</SUP> s).</P>

고전압 방전 충격펄스를 이용한 유용광물 회수에 관한 실험적 연구

고전압 방전에 의한 파분쇄기술 중 ED(Electrical pulse Disintegration)는 고체 내 절연파괴를 유도하여 고체 내 취약한 경계면을 분리하여 유가자원을 분리·회수하는 고효율 자원처리 기술로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 고전압 방전에 의하여 고체 내 발생한 충격파가 황화광물 내 존재하는 아연광물의 단체분리특성을 분석하기 위하여, ED분쇄실험과 기계식 분쇄실험을 수행하고 분쇄산물에 대한 SEM-BSE 분석과 Microfocus X-Ray CT 분석을 수행하여 단체분리도를 비교하였다. Electrical pulse disintegration(ED) is known as an efficient technology for recovering valuable resources by inducing dielectric breakdown in solids to separate mineral interfaces in ores among the crushing technologies by high voltage discharge. In this study, ED crushing experiment and mechanical crushing experiment of sulfide minerals were performed, and SEM analysis and Microfocus X-Ray CT of the crushed product were performed in order to analyze the disintegration characteristics of zinc minerals exist in the sulfide minerals by the shock wave generated in the solid by high voltage discharge.
방향성 2차원 타원형 필터를 이용한 스테레오 기반 포즈에 강인한 사람 검출

이 논문은 방향성 2차원 타원형 필터(Multiple Oriented 2D Elliptical Filters;MO2DEFs)를 사용하여 스테레오 영상으로부터 포즈에 강인한 사람 검출을 제안한다. 기존의 물체 지향 크기 적응 필터 (Object Oriented Scale Adaptive Filter;OOSAF)는 정면을 보고 있는 사람만을 검출하는 단점을 지니고 있는데 반해 제안한 방향성 2차원 타원형 필터는 사람의 크기나 포즈에 관계없이 사람을 검출하고 추적한다. 2D 공간-깊이 히스토그램에 특정 각도로 향하는 4개의 2차원 타원형 필터들을 적용하고, 필터링된 히스토그램에서 임계값을 통해서 사람을 검출한 다음, MO2DEFs 중 승적 결과가 가장 큰 2차원 타원형 필터의 방향을 사람의 방향으로 판단한다. 사람 후보들은 얼굴을 검출하거나 검출된 사람의 선택된 방향의 머리-어께 형태를 정합함으로서 검증한다. 실험 결과는 (1) 포즈 각도 예측의 정확도는 약 88%이고, (2) 제안한 MO2DEFs를 사용한 사람 검출의 성능이 OOSAF를 사용한 사람 검출의 성능보다 15~20%만큼 향상되었으며, 특히 정면이 아닌 사람의 경우에 더 향상이 있었다. This paper proposes a robust human detection method irrespective of their pose variation using the multiple oriented 2D elliptical filters (MO2DEFs). The MO2DEFs can detect the humans regardless of their poses unlike existing object oriented scale adaptive filter (OOSAF). To overcome OOSAF's limitation, we introduce the MO2DEFs whose shapes look like the oriented ellipses. We perform human detection by applying four different 2D elliptical filters with specific orientations to the 2D spatial-depth histogram and then by taking the thresholds over the filtered histograms. In addition, we determine the human pose by using convolution results which are computed by using the MO2DEFs. We verify the human candidates by either detecting the face or matching head-shoulder shapes over the estimated rotation. The experimental results showed that the accuracy of pose angle estimation was about 88%, the human detection using the MO2DEFs outperformed that of using the OOSAF by 15~20%, especially in case of the posed human.
