Prediction of retained austenite fraction is quite important in designing advanced high strength steels since retained austeniteis the source of transformation-induced plasticity. The present study investigates the phase constitution of a medium-carbonQ&P steel by comparing various approaches to the transformation stasis of bainitic ferrite and applying them to the partitioningprocess. Among them, the modified GEB approach gave the best agreement with the experimental observation, includingthe effects of heat-treatment condition and chemical composition on phase constitution. This indicates phase transformationduring partitioning can be effectively described by the physics of Gibbs energy balance approach.

In this paper, we study the signed- DLMS adaptive algorithm of wireless repeater for solving shadow region due to propagation between base station and mobile station. The the signed-DLMS algorithm reduces interference signals from multipath and solves the oscillation problem of repeater by estimation and cancellation. To efficiently reject interference signal. the signed-DLMS adaptive algorithm is applied. The computational complexities of the signed-DLMS are reduced verse standard LMS algorithm. Wireless ICS repeater based on signed-DLMS reduces the cost and is able to increase channel capacities.
FC 2-14 Clinical study of hypopigmentation induced by intra-articular corticosteroid injection

Background: Intra-articular corticosteroid injection (IACI) is commonly used in the field of orthopedic surgery and rheumatology for management of the joint disease. However, there have been very limited data about IACI-induced hypopigmentation. Objectives: The purpose of present study was to investigate characteristics of IACI-induced hypopigmentation. Methods: 43 patients who were diagnosed as IACI-induced hypopigmentation at Pusan National University Hospitals (Busan and Yangsan) from 2004 to 2016. Results: Of the 43 patients, 53 lesions were analyzed in this study, the male to female ratio was 1:7.8 and the mean age at diagnosis was 46.4 ± 13.5 years. The most common (24/43, 56%) impression at the local clinics was vitiligo. Mean number of injection 1.8 times and the interval from injection to the onset of IACI-induced hypopigmentation was 3.3 months. Wrist was the most commonly affected site (18/53, 34%), followed by elbow (13/53, 25%), ankle (11/53, 21%) and knee (7/53, 13%). All of the lesions showed hypopigmentation accompanying promient underlying veins (28/53, 52.8%), skin atrophy (27/53, 50.9%), telangiectasia (10/53, 18.9%). Hypopigmented patches clinically showed various figures such as polygonal-linear (23/53, 43%), polygonal (16/53, 30%), and linear (14/53, 26%) appearances. And, they mostly had speculated border (43/53, 81%). Conclusion: Dermatologists need to be familiar with IACI-induced hypopigmentation in order to avoid incorrect management under misdiagnosis of vitiligo.

Aims: CD44 have known as important modulators of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) together with transforming growth factor beta1 (TGF-β1). Moreover, CD44 and TGF-β1 double positive more enhanced cancer stem cell characteristics acquisition, EMT, and metastasis. In cancer, miRNAs functions as tumor suppressors or oncogenes. This study aimed to investigate the identify microRNAs regulating the EMT with CD44/ TGF-β1 in HCC cells. Methods: We sorted CD44<sup>-</sup> and CD44<sup>+</sup> liver cancer stem cells by fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACs) in TGF-β1-positive SNU-368 cells and TGF-β1-negative SNU-354 cells. The miRNA profiles of CD44<sup>-</sup> and CD44<sup>+</sup> HCC cells were analyzed by next-generation sequencing (NGS). To investigate synergy effect of CD44 and TGF-β1, we induced EMT by TGF-β1 treatment or inhibited EMT by TGF-β1 inhibitors. The expression level of mRNA and protein were detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and western blot. Results: miRNA NGS array data were compared among CD44 or TGF-β1 single expression HCC cells and CD44/TGF-β1 double positive HCC cells. The results showed that four miRNAs (miR-96-5p, miR-221-5p, miR-186-3p and miR-152-3p) were up-regulated and two miRNAs (miR-296-3p, miR-10a-5p) was down-regulated in CD44<sup>+</sup>/TGF-β1<sup>+</sup> cells than an expression of either one alone. These results were confirmed by qRT-PCR. TGF-β1-stimulated SNU-354 (CD44+/TGF-β1<sup>+</sup>) cells up-regulated three miRNAs (miR-96-5p, miR-221-5p, miR-186-3p) than SNU-354 (CD44<sup>+</sup>/TGF-β1<sup>-</sup>) cells and also, down-regulated the two miRNAs (miR-296-3p, miR-10a-5p). Inhibition of TGF-β1 in SNU-368 cells reduced miR-221-5p and increased miR-296-3p. Furthermore, TGF-β1-stimulated SNU-354 (CD44<sup>+</sup>/TGF-β1<sup>+</sup>) cells induced EMT and TGF-β1 inhibitor-treated SNU-368 (CD44<sup>+</sup>/ TGF-β1<sup>-</sup>) cells inhibited EMT. Overexpression of miR-221-5p in SNU-354 (CD44<sup>+</sup>/TGF-β1<sup>-</sup>) cells exhibited lower E-cadherin and higher β-catenin. Next, the loss of miR-221-5p in SNU-368 (CD44<sup>+</sup>/TGF-β1<sup>+</sup>) cells showed increased E-cadherin. Conclusions: We identified CD44/TGF-β1-related miRNAs and confirmed regulation of EMT by miRNAs in HCC cells. The results would suggest a possible application that CD44/TGF-β1- regulated miRNAs may serve as specific biomarkers and therapeutic targets for hepatocellular carcinoma.
Molluscum contagiosum occuring in an epidermal cyst developed on frontal hairline

Molluscum contagiosum (MC) is a common skin infection due to the molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV). MCV may rarely infect keratinocytes of the hair follicle and a few cases of MC occurring in an epidermal cyst (EC) reported in the literature. An 8-year old girl presented with asymptomatic, solitary 1 x 1 cm sized, skin colored, subcutaneous nodules on the frontal hairline for several months. The patient had no known history or evidence at presentation of MCV lesions on the skin surface. On histologic examination, there were multiloculated cysts containing laminated horny material. The wall of the cyst contained all layers of the epidermis, including a granular layer. There were abundant eosinophilic inclusion bodies inside the cyst, dispersed among the keratinous contents, consistent with MCV cytopathic changes. She was diagnosed with MC occurring in an EC. The coexistence of MCV infection in an EC is an unusual presentation. The exact pathomechanism is not well known, but there are two hypotheses. One is coinoculation of MCV at the time of development of the EC, and the other is the invasion of MCV into a preexisting EC. Because there were not only changes of MCV infection through the entire lesion but also multiloculated changes with close approximation of the adjacent cystic components, it was considered that MC occurring in an EC was developed by the former pathomechanism.
Selection of aerial insecticides to control the pine wilt disease vector

Pine wilt disease (PWD) is one of the most important forest tree diseases, especially in the East Asian countries of Japan, China, and Korea. The Japanese pine sawyer, Monochamus alternatus Hope, is the PWN vector for Japanese red pine and Japanese black pine while Monochamus saltuarius Gebler is the vector for Korean white pine. Various control methods, such as aerial pesticide applications, biological control using parasitoids and fumigant such as methyl bromide are used. But the PWD still has spread. Therefore, we were selected effective aerial insecticides. Susceptibility of M. saltuarius and M. alternatus adults were investigated using 9 insecticides which are available in the market in Korea. And then, we tested them to the Apis mellifera to vertify the environmental impact.
