        On Translation Competence -An Approach in the Light of Mother Tongue Acquisition

        본 논문은 모국어 습득의 연구 성과를 이용하여 문법번역과 직업번역 간의 구별을 검토하였다. 문법번역은 외국어 습득에 있어서 학습을 보조하는 도구이다. 하지만, 직업번역은 두 언어 사이에서 교제하는 도구이다. 이 두 가지 다른 성질을 가지는 번역 사이에서 대응 관계와 모국어 습득은 발전 단계상 유사점이 있다. 언어 습득 및 번역 기능 습득을 이해하는 과정은 학생 번역자에게 이성적으로 번역 전략을 운용하여 문제를 해결하는 능력을 양성하는 데 도움이 된다. The paper explores the fundamental differences between grammatical translation and professional translation in the light of mother tongue acquisition. The former serves as a tool for foreign language learning and the latter for communication between two mutually incomprehensible tongues. The two types of translating performance come into a relay relationship, which has something in common with the developments of mother tongue acquisition. A rational exposure to what happens in translating and language learning provides student translators with a strategic approach to the solutions desired for their daily performance.

        Long Noncoding RNA PVT1 Promotes Stemness and Temozolomide Resistance through miR-365/ELF4/SOX2 Axis in Glioma

        Long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) are a class of non-coding RNAs demonstrated to play pivotal roles in regulating tumor progression. Therefore, deciphering the regulatory role of lncRNA in the development of glioma may offer a promising therapeutic target for treatment of glioma. We performed RT-qPCR analysis on the expression of lncRNA plasmacytoma variant translocation 1 (PVT1) and miR-365 in glioma tissues and cell lines. Cell proliferation and viability was assessed with CCK8 assay. Cell migration was assessed by wound healing assay. Transwell assay was used to assess cell invasion capacity. Expression of CD133+ cells was detected by flow cytometry. Western blot assay was used to detection the expression of ELF4 and stemness-related protein SOX2, Oct4 and Nanog. Bioinformatics and dual-luciferase assay were used to predict and validate the interaction between PVT1 and miR-365. Elevated PVT1 expression was observed in glioma tissues and cells. Knockdown of PVT1 and overexpression of miR-365 inhibited proliferation, migration, invasion and promoted stemness and Temozolomide (TMZ) resistance of glioma cells. PVT1 regulated ELF4 expression by competitively binds to miR-365. PVT1 regulated the stemness and sensitivity of TMZ of glioma cells through miR-365/ELF4/ SOX2 axis. This study identified that PVT1 promoted glioma stemness through miR-365/ELF4/SOX2 axis.

        一個獨特民族的文學珍珠 ―《路得記》寫作探幽

        《룻기》는 이스라엘 문학사에서 “문학의 진주”라는 명성을 지니고 있는 작품이다. 문학은 환경의 산물이다. 전기문학의 측면에서《룻기》는 광대한 민족사인 《구약성경》을 대표하는 민족문학이며, 다양한 형식의 문학작품을 탄생시키는 촉매역할을 했기 때문에 아시아와 아프리카의 고전이 되었고, 유럽문학의 원류 가운데 하나이다. 《룻기》는 전기문학의 전환점이며, 인류문학사의 참신한 텍스트가 되었다. “Ruth” is hailed as “literary pearls” in Israeli literature. Literature has its own soil to harvest results. This article explores writing skills of “Ruth”, showing that the Old Testament is a magnificent national historical biography with its unique national culture. It gives birth to a variety of literary works, making itself Afro-Asian classics and one of two European literary sources. “Ruth” is the glorious transformation of historical literature, creating a new genre in the human historical literature documentary novel.

        语用视角下的汉语句末语气词的功能研究

        本文以关联和连贯理论为框架,探讨了汉语句末语气词“啊”、“吧”、“呢”的语用功 能,得出的基本结论有:与“啊”和“吧”相比,“呢”的篇章功能更为突出,或者说,与“呢” 相比,“啊”与“吧”的情态意义比较明显。本文还探讨了上述三个句末语气词语用功能差异背后 的深层次原因。具体而言,与“啊”和“吧”相比,“呢”的意义主要是语气意义;“呢”字历史 更为悠久;“呢”的语法化过程更为彻底。相比之下,“啊”和“吧”都具有较为明显的情态意 义;两个语气词使用历史不长;它们的虚化过程还在继续。 With relevance theory and coherence theory as the theoretical basis, this paper studies the pragmatic function of Chinese-Utterance final particles: a, ba and ne and claims that the discourse function of ne is stronger than a and ba. In other words, the modality meaning of a and ba is stronger than ne. This paper also studies the reason why a, ba and ne have different pragmatic functions and concludes that the meaning of ne is mainly the meaning of mood, ne has a longer history and the grammaticalization of ne is more complete while a and ba have obvious modality meaning; they have a shorter history than ne as mood particles and their grammaticalization still continues.

        Integrated omics approaches to characterize a nuclear receptor corepressor-associated histone deacetylase in mouse skeletal muscle

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Nuclear receptors regulate gene expression by differentially binding to coactivators or corepressors in a ligand-dependent manner, which further recruits a set of epigenome-modifying enzymes that remodel chromatin conformation. Histone acetylation is a major epigenomic change controlled by histone acetyltransferases (HATs) and histone deacetylases (HDACs). HDAC3 is the only HDAC that confers the enzymatic activity to the complexes nucleated by nuclear receptor corepressors NCoR and SMRT. To address the metabolic function of HDAC3, we have deleted it specifically in mouse skeletal muscles. We have performed the following omics profiling in skeletal muscles of these mice: (1) RNA-seq profiling of total RNA; (2) Global nuclear run-on (GRO-seq) analysis of nascent RNAs; (3) Chromatin immuno-precipitation (ChIP-seq) of HDAC3 at both early evening and early morning; (4) proteomics profiling with mass spectrometry; (5) snap-shot metabolomics profiling of water-soluble metabolites at the basal condition; (6) snap-shot metabolomics profiling of lipid species at the basal condition; (7) kinetic fluxomics analysis of glucose utilization using <SUP>13</SUP>C<SUB>6</SUB>-glucose <I>In vivo</I> during treadmill running exercise. These approaches have provided several novel insights into how nuclear receptors regulate circadian rhythm of skeletal muscle fuel metabolism, which has been published elsewhere.         Low-noise reconstruction method for coded-aperture gamma camera based on multi-layer perceptron

        Accurate localization of radioactive materials is crucial in homeland security and radiological emergencies. Coded-aperture gamma camera is an interesting solution for such applications and can be developed into portable real-time imaging devices. However, traditional reconstruction methods cannot effectively deal with signal-independent noise, thereby hindering low-noise real-time imaging. In this study, a novel reconstruction method with excellent noise-suppression capability based on a multi-layer perceptron (MLP) is proposed. A coded-aperture gamma camera based on pixel detector and coded-aperture mask was constructed, and the process of radioactive source imaging was simulated. Results showed that the MLP method performs better in noise suppression than the traditional correlation analysis method. When the Co-57 source with an activity of 1 MBq was at 289 different positions within the field of view which correspond to 289 different pixels in the reconstructed image, the average contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) obtained by the MLP method was 21.82, whereas that obtained by the correlation analysis method was 5.85. The variance in CNR of the MLP method is larger than that of correlation analysis, which means the MLP method has some instability in certain conditions.

        The Rapid and Efficient Synthesis of Bromohydrins from Olefins under HBr/H2O2 System by Visible Light Induced

        A simple and safe method has been presented for conversion of olefins into bromohydrins using hydrogen bromide and hydrogen peroxide as bromide source by visible light induced within a very short time to get high yield bromohydrins along with a little mount dibromo-product. In this paper, cyclohexene is firstly carried out as the model substrate and investigated the bromination under HBr/H2O2 system using 150 W incandescent light irradiated in CCl4 within short time to get good yield of 2-bromocyclohexanol along with a little mount of 1,2-dibromocyclohexane; then, a series of alkenes are brominated to corresponding bromohydrins using the same protocol.

        Study of Noise Reduction Based on Optimal Fan Outer Pressure Ratio and Thermodynamic Performance for Turbofan Engines at Conceptual Design Stage

        With the development of civil aero-engines, the noise emission is now an essential issue to be considered during engine design. In this study, the preliminary design for a model fan, which was used for the fan noise estimation, was carried out. The fans with different bypass ratios, different tip speed as well as different aspect ratio were designed and the rough dimensions of the fan were obtained. Based on the dimension and performance of the fan, the effect of fan bypass ratio, tip speed, rotor blade numbers, and rotor–stator spacing on noise generation was investigated. The results indicate that the fan noise can be reduced as high as 10 dB by the increase of bypass ratios, and fewer rotor blade numbers and larger rotor–stator spacing are proved to be benefit to the fan noise reduction as well. However, lower tip speed does not achieve the noise reduction as expected. This is because more rotor blades are added to maintain the constant fan pressure ratio for the fan with lower tip speed. The study demonstrates that trade-off study should be carried out when considering fan noise reduction during engine design.
