An electrochemical sensor for the rapid, selective and sensitive detection of Pb2+ was developed using polypyrrole-graphene (PPY-rGO) nanocomposite by electrochemical synthesis. The PPYrGO-modified electrode possessed a large effective area because of unique 3D porous architectures, and it displayed excellent selectivity for the determination of Pb2+. The response of Pb2+ on the nanocomposite-modified electrode was evaluated, and the relevant parameters were optimized by square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV). The stripping response was highly linear (R2 = 0.987) over a Pb2+ concentration range of 5 X 10-9 mol/L to 7.5 X 10-7 mol/L, with a detection limit of 4.7 X 10-11 mol/L (3σ method). Furthermore, its applicability was validated for the determination of Pb2+ levels using spiked tap water at different concentrations. The polyporous structure, satisfactory reproducibility, long-term stability and simple synthesis endow the PPY-rGO nanocomposite a promising application in the determination of Pb2+.
Mobile agents’ dynamic small-world ntwork based on attention mechanism
Rong Xie 한국통신학회 2020 한국통신학회 APNOMS Vol.2020 No.09
To solve the issues of high communication cost and slow information transmission in the applications of agents’ collaboration, in the paper, we propose an approach to the construction of dynamic small-world network based on attention mechanism. Small-world model is applied to handle information exchange among agents. During the movement to destination, agent obtains individual historical optimal position through self-attention mechanism, and obtains local optimal position of k-neighbor through local attention mechanism, enabling search for the next optimal position. The experimental results verify effectiveness of our method, as well as stability and invulnerability which can adapt to dynamic changes.

Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici is a soil borne pathogenic fungus associated with wheat roots. The accurate quantification of gene expression during the process of infection might be helpful to understand the pathogenic molecular mechanism. However, this method requires suitable reference genes for transcript normalization. In this study, nine candidate reference genes were chosen, and the specificity of the primers were investigated by melting curves of PCR products. The expression stability of these nine candidates was determined with three programs-geNorm, Norm Finder, and Best Keeper. $TUB{\beta}$ was identified as the most stable reference gene. Furthermore, the exopolygalacturonase gene (ExoPG) was selected to verify the reliability of $TUB{\beta}$ expression. The expression profile of ExoPG assessed using $TUB{\beta}$ agreed with the results of digital gene expression analysis by RNA-Seq. This study is the first systematic exploration of the optimal reference genes in the infection process of Gaeumannomyces graminis var. tritici.
A Density Functional Study of Furofuran Polymers as Potential Materials for Polymer Solar Cells
Xie, Xiao-Hua,Shen, Wei,He, Rong-Xing,Li, Ming Korean Chemical Society 2013 Bulletin of the Korean Chemical Society Vol.34 No.10
The structural, electronic, and optical properties of poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT) have been comprehensively studied by density functional theory (DFT) to rationalize the experimentally observed properties. Rather, we employed periodic boundary conditions (PBC) method to simulate the polymer block, and calculated effective charge mass from the band structure calculation for describing charge transport properties. The simulated results of P3HT are consistent with the experimental results in band gaps, absorption spectra, and effective charge mass. Based on the same calculated methods as P3HT, a series of polymers have been designed on the basis of the two types of building blocks, furofurans and furofurans substituted with cyano (CN) groups, to investigate suitable polymers toward polymer solar cell (PSC) materials. The calculated results reveal that the polymers substituted with CN groups have good structural stability, low-lying FMO energy levels, wide absorption spectra, and smaller effective masses, which are due to their good rigidity and conjugation in comparison with P3HT. Besides, the insertion of CN groups improves the performance of PSC. Synthetically, the designed polymers PFF1 and PFF2 are the champion candidates toward PSC relative to P3HT.
Differences in the Levels of Gastric Cancer Risk Factors Between Nanjing and Minqing Counties, China
Xie, Xiang-Quan,Zheng, Kui-Cheng,Wu, Bing-Shan,Chen, Tie-Hui,Lai, Shan-Rong,Lin, Zai-Sheng,Aoki, Kazuo The Korean Society for Preventive Medicine 2014 Journal of Preventive Medicine and Public Health Vol.47 No.5
Objectives: In Fujian Province, China, gastric cancer is one of the leading causes of mortality among all malignant tumors. Nanjing county and Minqing county are located in inland Fujian and have similar general demographics. However, the adjusted mortality rate of gastric cancer in Minqing was found to be much higher than that in Nanjing. We sought to explore factors associated with this increased risk of gastric cancer between the two counties. Methods: We recruited 231 and 224 residents from Nanjing and Minqing, respectively, and analyzed differences between their dietary habits, Helicobacter pylori infection rates, and concentrations of serum pepsinogen I, pepsinogen II, gastrin-17, and ratio of pepsinogen I:II. Results: Subjects in Minqing had more first-degree relatives who had been diagnosed with upper gastrointestinal tumor, more unhealthy dietary habits, a higher Helicobacter pylori positive rate, and greater proportion of abnormal serum gastrin-17 than those in Nanjing did. Conclusions: The factors that differed between these two counties might indicate that residents in Minqing have a higher risk for developing gastric cancer than those in Nanjing do.
Electrospun non-leaching biocombatible antimicrobial cellulose acetate nanofibrous mats
Rong Li,Xuehong Ren,Qianyuan Jiang,Zhiwei Xie,Tung-Shi Huang 한국공업화학회 2015 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.27 No.-
In this study cellulose acetate (CA) was modified with 4,40-diphenylmethane diisocyanate (MDI, an Nhalamineprecursor) in solution to form chemical bonds between CA and MDI to avoid the potentialrelease of biocides from CA. Nanofibers were obtained by electrospinning the CA–MDI solution. Theobtained CA–MDI nanofibers were characterized by FT-IR, SEM, TGA and DSC. TGA and DSC dataindicated that the CA–MDI nanofibers before and after chlorination had good thermal stability comparedwith CA nanofibers. 58% of active chlorine was lost after 2 h of UVA irradiation, and most of the activechlorine was lost after 4 h of UVA irradiation. However, about 85% of the chlorine could be regeneratedby rechlorination after 24 h of UVA irradiation. The active chlorine of the chlorinated nanofibers releasedslowly in water. The chlorinated CA–MDI nanofibers showed excellent antimicrobial properties againstEscherichia coli O157:H7 and Staphylococcus aureus within brief contact times. Also, the chlorinated CA–MDI nanofibers showed good biocompatibility.

Xie Shi-kun,Yi Rong-xi,Pan Xiao-liang,Zheng Xiao-qiu,Guo Xiu-yan 한국소성가공학회 2010 기타자료 Vol.2010 No.6
A new technique using slope vibration casting process during heating and isothermal holding period to prepare Al-7Si-2RE alloy has been studied. The small, near-spherical and non-dendritic microstructure with the semi-solid processing requirements has been obtained. Experiments show that the cooling method, pouring process and the convection of melt caused by slope vibration had significant effects on the formation of near-spherical primary gains. The water-cooled copper mold casting with slope vibration at the temperature near liquidus can obtain Al-7Si-2RE alloy with small homogeneous equiaxed grains, the average grain diameter is 48.3μm, and the average grain roundness is 1.92.
