      • Associations of ERCC4 rs1800067 Polymorphism with Cancer Risk: an Updated Meta-analysis

        Background: Results from previous studies concerning the association of ERCC4 rs1800067 polymorphism with risk of cancer were inconsistent. To explore the exact relation with susceptibility, we conducted the present meta-analysis. Materials and Methods: Literature of electronic databases including PubMed, Web of Science, EMBASE, Wanfang and Chinese National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI) were systematically searched. ORs and their 95%CIs were used to assess the strength of associations between ERCC4 polymorphism and cancer risk. Results: There was no significant association between ERCC4 rs1800067 AA or AG genotypes and overall risk of cancer (AA vs. GG: OR=0.998, 95%CI=0.670-1.486, P=0.992; AG vs. GG: OR=0.970, 95%CI=0.888-1.061, P=0.508). A dominant genetic model also did not demonstrate significant association of (AA+AG) genotype carriers with altered risk of overall cancer (OR=0.985, 95%CI=0.909-1.068, P=0.719). In addition, no significant association was observed between A allele of ERCC4 rs1800067 A/G polymorphism and altered cancer risk compared with G allele (OR=0.952, 95%CI=0.851-1.063, P=0.381). Subgroup analysis suggested that AA genotype carriers were significantly associated with decreased risk of glioma compared with wild-type GG genotype individuals (OR=0.523, 95%CI=0.275-0.993, P=0.048). For subgroup of lung cancer, A allele of ERCC4 rs1800067 A/G polymorphism was significantly associated with decreased risk of lung cancer compared with G allele (OR=0.806, 95%CI=0.697-0.931, P=0.003). Conclusions: This meta-analysis indicated that ERCC4 rs1800067 A/G polymorphism might not be associated with risk of overall cancer. However, individuals with the AA genotype were associated with significantly reduced risk of glioma compared with wild-type GG genotype; The A allele was associated with significantly reduced risk of lung cancer compared with G allele. Future large-scale studies performed in multiple populations are warranted to confirm our results.

        Sensor based exploration is a task which enables a robot to explore and map an unknown environment using sensor information. This paper we present a new algorithm that enables a car-like robot to explore an unknown planar workspace, i.e, an unknown configuration space diffeomorphic to SE(2). This paper describes the procedures that are required to implement on a car-like mobile robot, a sensor based motion planning algorithm based on the Generalized Voronoi Graph(GVG). In previous research in GVG prescribed path for a circular robot with infinite detector range. The circular robot is holonomic system, but this time GVG is used in nonholonomic system, which is the central contribution of this paper.

        This paper presents an algorithm, based on conventional GVG that enables a car-like robot find a collision free path from depart configuration to some goal position in an environment containing some convex obstacles. Prior research on GVG prescribed path for a circular robot. The circular robot is holonomic system, but this time GVG is used in nonholonomic system. The proposed algorithm enables the car-like robot depart the GVG to the goal position with the nonholonomic path.

        논문(論文) : 후사에 대한 기원(子嗣之禱): 귀자모(鬼子母), 동아(東亞)와 동남아 지역에서의 전파와 변천

        유가이념(儒家理念)의 깊은 영향 아래서 중국 전통 사회는 일반 서민이든 귀족 계층이든지 간에 모두 가족의 혈통을 잇는 것을 최고의 대사(大事)로 여겼다. 또한 일본과 동남아시아 지역에서는 풍부한 가정 노동력을 추구하여 다산(多産)에 대한 사회적인 요구가 존재하였다. 이러한 배경 아래 동아시아와 동남아시아에는 광범위하게 송자신(送子神) 신앙 체계가 출현하여, 자식 낳기를 바라는 자의 소원을 들어주고, 임산부와 영아(영兒)의 보호신(保護神)으로서 널리 추앙받았다. 이러한 신령체계(神靈體系)의 기원은 각기 다른데, 오랜 인도교(印度敎)와 불교(佛敎)로부터 전래되어 기원하였거나 또는 동아시아와 동남아 본토의 토속 종교와 민간 신앙에서 탄생하였을 것이다. 장기간의 공존과 융합과정에서, 이들 각기 다른 연원의 송자신(送子神)은 점차 서로 같거나 혹은 닮은 숭배 양식과 형상(形象)적 특징을 형성하게 되었다. 그 가운데 가장 대표성을 지니는 것이 귀자모(鬼子母)이며, 각기 다른 신앙문화가 상호 융화되고 영향을 받은 중요한 사례이기도 하다. 귀자모(鬼子母)는 하리티(Hariti, 訶利체 또는 訶梨帝母)고도 불린다. 가장 이른 사례로는 인도 신화 중에 영아(영兒)를 잡아먹는 여자악귀로서, 불교 설화에서 불조(佛祖)인 석가모니의 가르침을 받아 깊이 깨우쳐 불교에 귀의하고, 널리 부녀자와 영아의 보호신이 되었다. 불교가 동아시아와 동남아시아 지역에 전파됨에 따라서 귀자모(鬼子母) 신앙도 중국·일본·베트남·말레이반도와 인도네시아 등지에서 광범위하게 유행하였다. 이러한 전파 과정에서 귀자모 숭배는 점차 현지 문화 및 전통 요소와 상호 융합하며 호칭과 형상(形象) 역시 단계적으로 토착화되어, 동아시아와 동남아시아의 ``구자만신묘(求子萬神廟)`` 가운데의 중요한 일원이 되었다. 본 논문은 풍부한 역사 문헌과 시각 예술 자료에 기초하여, 귀자모신(鬼子母神)의 전파와 변천 과정을 동태적인 시각에서 분석하고, 그 가운데 동아시아와 동남아시아 지역에서의 신앙적 융합과 문화적 영향관계의 대체적인 면모를 훑어보았으며, 아시아 지역에서 오랜 세월을 거치며 이루어진 문화적 총체성과 내재 관계를 간략하게나마 엿보았다.

        Molecular Dynamics Simulation on Microstructure Evolution During Solidification of Copper Nanoparticles

        The effect of cooling rate on the microstructure evolution of liquid Cu nanoparticles during their solidification process is investigated by using a molecular dynamics simulation based on the embedded atom method (EAM) potential developed by Foiles et al.. The potential energy analysis,the pair distribution function and the common neighbor analysis have been used. The results show that the solidification point increases with decreasing cooling rate and that the solidification of the microstructure of Cu nanoparticles varies with the cooling rate. The microstructure consists of fcc,hcp and bcc crystals or mixtures, though the fcc structure dominates, except in the amorphous state. An amorphous structure was obtained when the cooling rate reached 1.0 × 1013 K/s or higher while crystallization degree increased with decreasing cooling rate, and the total content of crystal structures reached to 95% when the cooling rate dropped to 4.0 × 1011 K/s, which was nearly a perfect crystal structure. The results also indicate that a single-crystal nanoparticle will not be obtained by quenching the liquid metal under various cooling rates.

      • Analysis of the Effects of the Volume-Based Procurement Policy on the Use of Antihypertensive Drug in a Public Hospital

        目的:分析带量采购对中选与非中选抗高血压类药品的使用影响,为政策制定及医院合理用药提供参考。方法:以抗高血压药为例,采用实证研究对某院带量采购实施前后一年的数量、金额、用药频度(DDDs)、日均费用(DDC)、仿制药替代率及费用节省等情况进行比较分析。结果:实施带量采购后,抗高血压类药品总体使用量上升 18.60%,销售额下降 7.71%,仿制药对原研药的替代率为 65.07%,潜在节省费用 489.44万元,较带量前实际节省费用 545.78 万元。结论:带量采购实施后,仿制药中选品种呈价减量增的趋势,对原研药的替代率有显著提升,极大缓解了高血压类疾病患者用药负担。 Objective: To analyze the influence of the volume-based procurement policy on the use of antihypertensive and to provide reference for policy formulation and rational drug use in hospital. Methods: Take antihypertensive for examples, empirical approach was used to analyze sales amount, sales volume, generics substitution rate etc., comparing the policy before and after implementation. Results: After the implementation of the volume-based procurement policy, the overall use of antihypertensive drugs increased by 18.60%, and sales fell by 7.71%. Under the effect of the same curative efficacy, the substitution rate of generic drugs for the original drugs was 65.07%, and the potential cost saving was 4.89 million yuan, which is 5 457 800 yuan in actual cost savings compared with before the implementation of the volume-based procurement policy. Conclusion: After the implementation of volume-based procurement policy, the selected varieties of generic drugs showed a trend of decreasing prices and increasing volume, significantly increasing the replacement rate of original research drugs, which effectively alleviated the burden of medication for patients with hypertensive diseases.

        Anti-Diabetic Effect of Pectinase-Processed Ginseng Radix (GINST) in High Fat Diet-Fed ICR Mice

        In the present study, we investigate anti-diabetic effect of pectinase-processed ginseng radix (GINST) in high fat diet-fed ICR mice. The ICR mice were divided into three groups: regular diet group, high fat diet control group (HFD), and GINSTtreated group. To induce hyperglycemia, mice were fed a high fat diet for 10 weeks, and mice were administered with 300 mg/kg of GINST once a day for 5 weeks. Oral glucose tolerance test revealed that GINST improved glucose tolerance after glucose challenge. Compared to the HFD control group, fasting blood glucose and insulin levels were decreased by 57.8% (p<0.05) and 30.9% (p<0.01) in GINST-treated group, respectively. With decreased plasma glucose and insulin levels, the insulin resistance index of the GINST-treated group was reduced by 68.1% (p<0.01) compared to the HFD control group. Pancreas of GINST-treated mice preserved a morphological integrity of islets and consequently having more insulin contents. In addition, GINST up-regulated the levels of phosphorylated AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK) and its target molecule, glucose transporter 4 (GLUT4) protein expression in the skeletal muscle. Our results suggest that GINST ameliorates a hyperglycemia through activation of AMPK/GLUT4 signaling pathway, and has a therapeutic potential for type 2 diabetes.

      • Calculation of Life-Time Death Probability due Malignant Tumors Based on a Sampling Survey Area in China

        Purpose: To calculate the probability of one person's life-time death caused by a malignant tumor and provide theoretical basis for cancer prevention. Materials and Methods: The probability of one person's death caused by a tumor was calculated by a probability additive formula and based on an abridged life table. All data for age-specific mortality were from the third retrospective investigation of death cause in China. Results: The probability of one person's death caused by malignant tumor was 18.7% calculated by the probability additive formula. On the same way, the life-time death probability caused by lung cancer, gastric cancer, liver cancer, esophageal cancer, colorectal and anal cancer were 4.47%, 3.62%, 3.25%, 2.25%, 1.11%, respectively. Conclusions: Malignant tumor is still the main cause of death in one's life time and the most common causes of cancer death were lung, gastric, liver, esophageal, colorectal and anal cancers. Targeted forms of cancer prevention and treatment strategies should be worked out to improve people's health and prolong life in China. The probability additive formula is a more scientific and objective method to calculate the probability of one person's life-time death than cumulative death probability.
