        This study is based on the problems of the counselees that was found in the course of the counselling from September, 1970 through June, 1971 at the Student Guidance Center of Pusan Taachers College. This study aims at finding out the tendency of the problems of the students by analyzing the results of the counselling and offering the source materials for the actual student guidance. The necessary source materials for this study have been got through the analysis of some interview records of 184 student counselees (male, 73; female, 111) who visited the Guidance Center from September, 1970 through June, 1971. In analyzing the records, 11 categories have been employed. The main points of this study are as follows: 1. Generally, the freshman students have more problems than the sophomore students do, and male students have more problems than the female students do. 2. The number of the students who have the problems on the matter of the side-jod is the largest and the number of the students who have other problems is in the order of, the future occupation or the field of work, the problems of personality, the military service problems, and the problems on the health. 3. The counselees' problems are vary according to the factors such as the survival of the parents or the state of no parents, the degree of the education of the parents, parents' occupation, their religion, and the family condition. 4. The writer could also find some significant facts according to the counselees' birth order, the type of the blood, the birth place, and the type of the lodging. 5. The most of the counselees have knocked the door of the Center voluntarily, but much of the students have been counselled by the recommendation of the College authorites.

        Callus distraction method를 이용한 하악골 신장술 : 계단골절단술식의 적용

        Since callus distraction technique was applied clinically for the correction of dentofacial deformity to the patients with hemifacial dysplasia by McCarthy in 1992, many surgeons have tried to apply this method to the maxillofacial region. But this technique has some drawbacks. One of the disadvantages of this technique is extensive scar formation in the facial area, which is a sequelae of extraoral approach for supraperiosteal dissection of the periosteum overlying the mandible. Recently, we have made an effort to perform this technique through intraoral approaches to prevent scar formation on the submandibular area and modified the design of the osteotomy, that is step osteotomy technique, to increase the raw bone surface on both osteotomized segments. The rationale for the application of this step osteotomy technique is to increase the amount of regeneracted bone and the length of distraction, to avoid damage of inferior alveolar neurovascular bundle, and to increase initial stability of the splitted segments. Step osteotomy procedure can be done with fine micro-osteotomy saw through subperiosteal tunneling. Extraoral pins should be inserted before making the osteotomy. Since 1974 we have applied this technique at 8 sites In 5 patients with mandibular deficiencies: 2 cases of hemifacial microsomia, 1 case of developmental facial asymmetry and 2 cases of mandibular bony defect. Mandibular elongation have been achieved from 12 to 20mm in length. 1 out of 8 site, we experienced non-union in the case of mandibular body defect. Some skeletal relapse and growth retardation phenomenon have been observed in some cases with the longest follow-up of 48 months.

        질량분석기로 사용되는 폴 트랩 내에서 보다 실제적인 이온운동을 예측해내기 위하여 약 2천 개의 다중입자의 궤적에 대한 계산을 실시하였다. 보다 정확한 질량 분석스펙트럼을 얻기 위하여 충돌확률에 대한 보다 정확하고 실질적인 함수 값을 도입하였다. 계산된 전산시늉의 결과들로부터 특히 작은 질량의 영역에 대한 분석을 할 경우 본 논문에서 제시된 바와 같이 매우 정확한 충돌확률이 고려되어야 함을 확인할 수 있었다. To predict the practical characteristics of ion motion in the paul trap as a mass spectrometer, the ion trajectories of the multi-particle(over than 2000 particles) were calculated. In order to expect more practical mass spectrum, the exact expressions for the collision probability was adopted. From the simulation result, we found that the exact collision probability has to be considered to analyze the materials existed in the low mass region.

      • 아조벤젠 분자(Disperse Red 1)를 포함한 측쇄형 고분자에서 광유도 복굴절의 실시간적 조사

        아조벤젠 그룹을 포함한 측쇄형 고분자 필름(PDR1)에서 광 유도된 이방성을 실시간적으로 조사하였다. 수평, 수직한 흡수율의 변화를 광 유도된 복굴절의 기록, 감쇠, 소거, 완화 과정에 따라 측정하여, 매질 내의 아조벤젠 분자의 정렬상태와 복굴절과의 관계를 광 이성화과정으로 설명하였다. 또한 기록빔의 세기를 따른 수직, 수평한 흡수율의 변화와 유도된 복굴절의 관계를 조사하였다. The photo-induced anisotropy for a polymeric film(PDR1) containing azobenzene group as side-chain was investigated dynamically. The change of absrobances with parallel and perpendicular components was measured in recording, decaying, erasing and relaxation processes of photo-induced birefringence, so the relation between the alignment of azobenzene groups and the birefringence was well explained according to the photo-isomerization. Also, the dependence of the photo-induced birefringence on intensity of recording beam was investigated with changes of both absorbance and birefringence.

        비복신경이식을 이용한 긴 거리의 말초신경 결손부 수복

        The surgery of oral and maxillofacial area poses the risk of cranial nerve damage such as trigeminal nerve or facial nerve. Inferior alveolar nerve is prone to damage in the third molar extraction, implant installation, orthognathic surgery, open reduction and rigid fixation, and tumor ablation surgery. On the other hands,facial nerve is likely to be damaged or sacrificed with trauma or parotidectomy. In case of inferior alveolar nerve injury, the incidence is reported to be about 1.3%. The nerve function will almost recover in minimal damage, but it won't recover at last in total damage of a part of nerve unit. In latter cases, nerve regeneration in intended by allograft as nerve substitute or various route of merve condit. But the recovery with autograft is believed to be most relialbe mrthod in the rapair of long-span(longer than 15㎜)nerve defect. We have performed autologous sural nerve graft in the repair of nerve defect, which is caused by resection of benign or malignant tumor. Hereby we report the method of nerve harvesting, recovery of defected peripheral nerve and the complications of donor site with the discussion of sural nerve anatomy.

      • The Antioxidant Hesperetin Protects Porcine Oocyte from Damage by In Vitro Aging

        Hesperetin (H), one of the citrus flavonoids, shows a various of pharmacological properties including antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, and anticancer. The purpose of this study is to prevent in vitro aging by treating hesperetin to protect it from oxidative stress. Porcine oocytes were matured in vitro for 44 h (control) and for an additional 24 h in the presence of 0, 0.1, 1, 10, and 100 μM hesperetin (aging, H-1, H-10, H-100 and H-250, respectively). The study investigated the effect of proper concentration of hesperetin on nuclear maturation rate, and ROS level, apoptosis proportion, and the developmental capacity of aging porcine oocytes. The H-100 group was the most effective of protect for oxidate stress. The all results of the investigated showed that the aging group was significantly worse than the control group. During in vitro aging, normal spindle formation, apoptotic proportion, and expression of maturation marker genes were protected by the H-100 group, that result then the H-100 group was similar to the control group. The ROS level was the H-100 group better than the aging group. The estrogen receptor gene was examined to determine how hesperetin enters the porcine oocytes. As a result, it was confirmed that estrogen receptor was used because the H-100 group was expressed more than the aging group. Thus, the hesperetin is effective agent to protect from the oxidative stress during in vitro aging of porcine oocytes. Therefore, hesperetin will improve the quality of mature oocytes by allowing in vitro experiments to be protected from oxidative stress.

        The citrus flavonoid hesperetin has various pharmacological actions, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer activities. The purpose of this study is to confirm whether the treatment of hesperetin can protect the oocyte from in vitro aging. Porcine oocytes were matured in vitro for 44 h (control) and for an additional 24 h in the presence of 0, 1, 10, 100, and 250 μM hesperetin (aging, H-1, H-10, H-100 and H-250, respectively). This study investigated the effect of different concentration of hesperetin on maturation, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) level, apoptosis index, and the developmental capacity of aging porcine oocytes. In the results, the percentage of cleaved oocytes that reached to the blastocyst stage of H-100 group (37.9 ± 1.1%) was similar to control (38.1 ± 0.8%), and also significantly higher than other aging groups (23.2 ± 0.8%; H-1, 19.7 ± 1.3%; H-10, 26.7 ± 0.6%; and H-250, 18.4 ± 1.6%.)(p<0.05). The H-100 group was significantly decreased ROS activity, and increased the level of glutathione (GSH) and expression of the antioxidant genes (PRDX5, NFE2L, SOD1 and SOD2) compared to the aging group. The H-100 groups prevented aberrant spindle organization and chromosomal misalignment, blocked the decrease in the level of phosphorylated-p44/42 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and increased the mRNA expression of cytoplasmic maturation factor genes (GDF9, CCNB1, BMP15 and MOS). Also, it was confirmed that the H-100 group expressed higher level of estrogen receptor than the aging group. Therefore, this result indicated that hesperetin is an effective agent to protect from the oxidative stress during in vitro aging of porcine oocytes.
