        ACOS5 is Required for Primexine Formation and Exine Pattern Formation During Microsporogenesis in Arabidopsis

        Pollen exine, mainly composed of sporopollenin,plays important roles during microspore development. It hasbeen reported that Acyl-CoA Synthetase5 (ACOS5) is requiredfor sporopollenin biosynthesis in Arabidopsis. Here we showthat ACOS5 is essential for primexine formation duringArabidopsis microspore development. Through genetic screen,we identified a point mutation of ACOS5 allele, acos5-2,showing abnormal microspore development. Its microsporeswere degenerated and aborted after released from the tetrads. Transmission electron microscopy showed that primexineformation was reduced in acos5-2 mutant as compared tothat of the wild-type. Consequently, sporopollenin wasaggregated and randomly deposited on the microspores. Insitu hybridization indicated that the key regulators of tapetumdevelopment, DYT1 and TDF1, are required for the expressionof ACOS5 in tapetum. Furthermore, the GUS reporter showedthat the 593-bp promoter sequence was sufficient for theexpression of ACOS5 in the anther. Our data provide evidencethat ACOS5 is required for primexine formation andsporopollenin deposition during microspore development.

        Environmental Uncertainty, Accounting Conservatism and Investment Efficiency: Evidence from China

        Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the application of accounting conservatism on the investment efficiency of listed companies in China under the background of the current rising environmental uncertainty. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected 14,934 observations of A-share listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2013 to 2020, and analyzed the data by means of moderating effect test and multiple regression analysis. Findings - The results show that environmental uncertainty deteriorates the company s investment efficiency. The higher the level of environmental uncertainty, the more prone to over-investment and under-investment. Accounting conservatism plays moderating role between environmental uncertainty and investment efficiency. Among them, the moderating effect of conditional conservatism is to alleviate under-investment of the company under high financing constraints and the over-investment, while it intensifies the under-investment under low financing constraints. The moderating effect of unconditional conservatism is to alleviate the under-investment. Research implications or Originality - This study finds out the internal mechanism of accounting conservatism affecting investment efficiency, which not only helps to understand about the value of accounting conservatism standards, but also helps to improve the investment efficiency of listed companies.

        A heat shock protein 70 protects the green peach aphid (Myzus persicae) against high-temperature stress

        Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are encoded by Hsp genes and are important in insect tolerance to heat stress. The green peach aphid, Myzus persicae, is an important agricultural pest. The functions of Hsp genes in the thermal tolerance of M. persicae are unknown. This study identified an Hsp70 gene (MpHsp70a) and analyzed its role in protection against high-temperature stress. MpHsp70a encoded a protein consisting of 659 amino acid residues. The protein had three signature motifs of the HSP70 family and was predicted to be localized in the cytoplasm. The highest expression level of MpHsp70a was in adults, and differences in the mRNA levels between apterous and alate adults were not significant. Exposure to high temperatures (30, 35 and 40 ◦ C) for one hour and treatment with 40 ◦ C for different times (0.5, 1 and 2 h) all resulted in a greatly elevated expression level of MpHsp70a, suggesting that the gene is heat-inducible. The transcriptional level of MpHsp70a was suppressed by injection with double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), and knockdown of MpHsp70a significantly increased the suscep tibility of apterous adults to 40 ◦ C. These results indicate that MpHsp70a is required for tolerance to hightemperature stress in M. persicae. Our findings highlight the molecular mechanism underlying Hsp70-mediated thermal adaptation in M. persicae.

      • Lung Cancer Risk Prediction Method Based on Feature Selection and Artificial Neural Network

        A method to predict the risk of lung cancer is proposed, based on two feature selection algorithms: Fisher and ReliefF, and BP Neural Networks. An appropriate quantity of risk factors was chosen for lung cancer risk prediction. The process featured two steps, firstly choosing the risk factors by combining two feature selection algorithms, then providing the predictive value by neural network. Based on the method framework, an algorithm LCRP (lung cancer risk prediction) is presented, to reduce the amount of risk factors collected in practical applications. The proposed method is suitable for health monitoring and self-testing. Experiments showed it can actually provide satisfactory accuracy under low dimensions of risk factors.

        비만과 고도비만 한국 여성의 혈청 페리틴과 비타민 D 수준의 비교

        본 연구는 국내 비만과 고도비만 여성의 혈청 영양소 수준을 관찰하고자 시행하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 비만인과 고도비만인의 비만 예방 및 관리 지표로서의 혈청 영양소와의 관련성을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구의 대상자의 연령은 만18세 이상에서 59세 이하 성인 여성이며 서울 B 외과의원 비만클리닉에서 제공된 ID에 의하여 판별되는 2차 가공된 자료로 병원에서 환자의 동의를 받고 후향적으로 자료를 분석하여 총 44명을 대상자로 선정하였다. 본 연구는 BMI의 지표를 활용하여 BMI가 25.0–29.9 ㎏/㎡의 비만을 비만군, 30.0 ㎏/㎡ 이상의 고도 비만을 고도비만군으로 구분하여 비만군 23명, 고도비만군 21명을 분석하였다. 연구 대상자들의 신장과 체중, BMI, SMM, BFM, PFM을 체성분 분석을 통해 조사하였고, 혈중 생화학적 지표와 엽산, 비타민 B12, 25(OH)D₃, 철, 페리틴 수준을 분석하였다. 비만군과 고도 비만군의 연령, 체중, BMI 및 체조성 중 체지방량, 체지방률은 비만군이 유의적으로 낮게 나타났으며 신장은 고도 비만군에서 유의적으로 낮게 나타났다. 생화학적 지표 검사결과 AST, ALT, 당화혈색소, 총 콜레스테롤, 중성지방은 대부분 정상 범위에 해당하였으며 두 군 사이의 유의적 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 비만과 관련된 혈청 영양소 수준을 조사한 결과 혈청 엽산, 비타민 B12, 25(OH)D₃, 철, 페리틴의 수치는 대부분 정상 범위에 해당하며 두 군 간의 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 본 연구에서 비만과 고도비만 성인 여성의 혈청 영양소 수준은 유의적 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 국내에서 비만 예방이나 치료를 위한 근거를 마련하기 위해서 비만과 영양소의 관련성에 대해 보다 심도 깊은 전향적 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. Purpose: This study examined the relationships among serum ferritin, vitamin D, folate, iron, and vitamin B12 as indicators of obesity. The results provide the basic data for the prevention and treatment of obese and severely obese people. Methods: This study selected 44 people from 18 years of age or older to 59 years. This study used the indicators of the body mass index (BMI) to analyze obesity as the obesity group (BMI of 25.0–29.9 ㎏/㎡) and as the severe obesity group (BMI ≥ 30.0 ㎏/㎡). Of the 44 subjects, 23 and 21 subjects were in the obesity and severe obesity groups, respectively. Their height, weight, body fat, skeletal muscle mass measured using bioimpedance analysis, and measured serum nutrients and biochemical parameters. Results: The obesity group showed a significantly lower age, body weight, BMI and body composition, body fat mass, and body fat percentage, and the height was significantly lower in the severe obesity group. The results of the biochemical parameters of the subjects showed that the levels of aspartate transaminase, alanine transaminase, hemoglobin A1c, total cholesterol, and triglyceride were within the normal range, and there was no significant difference between the 2 groups. The levels of folate, vitamin B12, 25-hydroxyvitamin D3, iron, and ferritin were almost normal, and there was no significant difference between the 2 groups. Conclusion: This study revealed an association with the serum nutrients and obesity, but there was no difference between the obesity group and severe obesity group. Observations of the nutrient levels in not only the blood in obesity and severe obesity but also in red blood cells and tissues will be necessary.

        『東國詩話彙成』의 기록양상과 그 의미 연구

        본 연구는 『東國詩話彙成』의 기록양상을 살펴보고, 그것을 중심축으로 대표적 이본들에서 변화된 기록 현황을 함께 추적함으로써 그것이 시사하는 의미를 살피는 것에 목적이 있다. 『동국시화휘성』은 洪重寅(1677∼1752)에 의해 1차로 편찬된 필사본이고, 얼마 뒤인 1734년에 洪重徵(1682∼1761)의 서문이 부기된, 『詩話彙成』이란 표제로 재정비가 시도되었다. 그리고 1821년에 沈魯崇(1762∼1837)이 『大東稗林』을 간행하면서 『詩話彙編』이라는 이름으로 전질 속에 수록하였는데, 그 결과 이들 3종이 대표적 판본으로 현존하고 있다. 본고는 먼저 최초본인 『동국시화휘성』의 서술방식과 기록양상을 고찰한 후, 이를 기준으로 『시화휘성』과 『시화휘편』은 어떤 변모양상을 보이는지 추적하였다. 『동국시화휘성』은 방대한 자료를 정리하고 취사선택한 후, 시간 순서대로 인물을 배열해 조목으로 選入하고, 각 인물에 해당하는 시화를 그 조목의 기사로 선별하는 방식으로 편찬되었다. 기존 시화서들에서 보다 한층 전문화된 편찬의식에 입각하여 ‘인물을 세로축으로 두고 정리’하였다. 기본적으로 원자료에 충실한 기록양상을 보였으나, 내용이 번다한 문장은 축약하여 싣거나 인물이 혼재된 기사는 각 인물에 해당하는 내용만 선택적으로 기록하기도 하였다. 기존 기록을 재구성하거나 취사선택하더라도 원전의 내용이나 취지에 반하는 기록 방식을 취하지는 않았으며, 어디까지나 객관적으로 자료를 정리하려는 입장을 견지한 일면도 보인다. 『시화휘성』은 『동국시화휘성』을 저본으로 다시 정리된 필사본이다. 《附 高句麗》에서 《附 百濟》를 독립시키고, 조선에 해당하는 《本朝》 앞부분에 〈列聖宸翰〉을 별도로 신설하였으며, 〈補遺〉 [無名氏] 조목의 하위기사를 대거 추가한 양상과 함께, 선입 조목의 가감도 진행하였다. 또 조목 내의 기사들 중 삭제된 현상이 발견되었는데 이들 대부분 단순 일화성 시화라는 특징을 내재하고 있었다. 『시화휘성』으로 轉寫 과정에서 발생한 變貌들은 체재면에서 좀 더 완비하려는 취지에서 진행된 작업의 결과물일 수도 있다. 그러나 『동국시화휘성』과 체재나 내용면에서 기록양상이 상이한 지점은 원저작과는 다른 선입 의식이 적용된 것으로 이해되기도 한다. 『시화휘편』은 필사 대상 母本을 ‘그대로 기록하기’ 방식으로 기술하였다. 『동국시화휘성』 및 『시화휘성』과 『시화휘편』을 대조해보면, 기존 내용을 충실히 기록하였고 거기에 추가된 조목과 기사들이 더 존재하는 현상을 발견할 수 있다. 『시화휘편』의 기록양상은 현존 『시화휘성』 보다는 오히려 『동국시화휘성』과 일치하는 부분이 많았으며, 『동국시화휘성』과 『시화휘성』에서 서로 가감을 보였던 부분들도 『시화휘편』은 모두 포괄하여 기록된 경우가 대부분이다. 이러한 현황들을 종합해 볼 때, 『시화휘편』이 필사의 저본으로 삼았다고 지칭한 『시화휘성』은 오늘날 현존하는 『시화휘성』이 아니라 현존 『동국시화휘성』의 편찬방식을 유지하면서도 내용면에서 한층 더 보완된 텍스트였을 것이라는 추정을 가능하게 했다. 또한 이본 3종의 기록양상 추이를 비교한 결과 『동국시화휘성』은 현실적으로 3종 합집합을 하나의 텍스트로 간주해야 하는 서지적 특징을 내포하고 있다고 판단된다. This study aims to examine recording aspect of Donggguksihwawiseon g, chase changes of document from a copy of a different edition and ex press what these changes imply. Donggguksihwawiseong is compiled by Hong Jung-in(洪重寅) at first, sh ortly thereafter it was rearranged as Sihwawiseong by Hong Jung-jing(洪重 徵, 1682-1761). In 1821, it was recorded as a Sihwahwipyeon in Daedong paerim(大東稗林) by Shim No-sung(沈魯崇, 1762-1837). As a result, thes e three versions are now being handed down as representative editions. First of all, this paper examines the narrative style and recording aspe ct of Donggguksihwawiseong. Based on this, the transformed aspects in Sihwawiseong and Sihwahwipyeon were traced. The compilation of Donggguksihwawiseong was done as follows: Orga nizing and selecting vast amounts of data and arranging people in chron ological order. Making that person as the sub-chapter, an article was co mposed with the relevant material for each sub-chapter. This is organizi ng around the characters , which was not in the existing Sihwa(詩話) co mpilation method. The basic principle of compilation was to faithfully re cord the original source material. However, sentences with miscellaneous contents were abbreviated and recorded. And for articles with a mixture of characters, only the content corresponding to each character was select ed and recorded. However, there was no record that contradicts the conte nts and opinions of the original data. The position to organize the data objectively was thoroughly maintained Sihwawiseong is a reorganization of Donggguksihwawiseong as a mater ial. ‘Bu Baekje(附百濟) was made independent from ‘Bu Goguryeo(附 高句麗) , and Yeolseongsinhan(列聖宸翰) was newly established at the beginning of ‘Joseon . And a lot of articles of the ‘Mumyeong Ssi(無名 氏)’ sub-chapter was added, and the pre-introduced sub-chapter was also added or subtracted. Some of the articles in sub-chapter have been delete d, and most of them are characterized as simple episodic Sihwa(詩話). T he transformations that appeared in the process of moving to Sihwawiseo ng may be the result of work that aims to be more complete in terms o f the system. However, it is undoubtedly an aspect that has a different meaning from the writer’s consciousness of Donggguksihwawiseong. Sihwahwipyeon describes the transcript subject in the manner of ‘recor ding it as it is . Comparing with Donggguksihwawiseong and Sihwawiseo ng, existing contents were faithfully recorded. Also, sub-chapter and articl es were added thereto. The recording aspect of Sihwahwipyeon was muc h more consistent with Donggguksihwawiseong rather than the existing Si hwawiseong. The parts that showed additions and subtractions to each ot her in Donggguksihwawiseong and Sihwawiseong were often recorded in Sihwahwipyeon. Considering these current circumstances, the Sihwawiseon g, which Shim No-sung referred to as original text of Sihwahwipyeon, w as not at least an extant Sihwawiseong. It would have been a more supp lemented text in terms of content while maintaining the compilation met hod of the existing Donggguksihwawiseong. Also, Donggguksihwawiseon g has a bibliographical characteristic that realistically considers the union of these three virsions as one text.

        생태여성시(Ecofeminism-poetry) 교육 방안 연구 - ‘〈여우난골족〉의 사회공동체 문화 함양’을 중심으로

        본 논문의 목적은 〈여우난골족〉을 생태여성시(Ecofeminism-poetry)적 관점에서 교육하여 평등, 상생, 유대감의 사회공동체 문화를 함양하고 이를 사회에서 실천하는 태도를 기르는 것이다. 생태여성시는 생태시와 여성시의 융합이다. 생태여성 시 원리는 자연치유와 생명력 추구, 순환성의 협의의 의미와 주변부 중시, 신화적 지혜의 광의의 의미를 지니고 있어 생태시나 여성시와는 차이가 있다. 주변부 중시의 생태여성시 원리를 적용한 〈여우난골족〉시 교육은 평등과 상생, 유대감을 함양하여 우리가 직면한 생태 위기나 미투 운동 같은 사회공동체 문제 해결에 도움이 된다. 백석 시 〈여우난골족〉를 생태여성시 원리인 주변부 중시로 교육한다. 교육방법은 가정, 학교, 사회의 공간을 통합하여 사회공동체 문화를 함양, 실천하는 것이다. 생태여성시적 관점의 〈여우난골족〉 교육은 총체적 감각, 시적 화자, 사투리 시어, 반복과 나열 등의 표현기법으로 평등, 상생, 유대감의 사회공동체 문화를 함양, 실천하여 사회공동체 문제 해결에 기여하는 것이 시사점이다. This paper aims to develop a social community culture of equality, win-win, mutual bond by learning 〈The family of the valley where the fox was born〉 as an Ecofeminism-poetry point of view, and to develop an attitude that practices it in society. Ecofeminism-poetry is the fusion of ecological-poetry and feminine-poetry. The Ecofeminism-poetry principle is different from ecological-poetry and feminine-poetry because it has the narrow meaning of natural healing, life force, circularity and the wide meaning of peripheral emphasis, mythological wisdom. Education, which applies the principle of Ecofeminism-poetry to peripheral emphasis, helps solve social community problems such as the Ecological Crisis and the Me Too movement that we face by developing social community culture of equality, win-win, mutual bond. Baek Seok’s poetry 〈The family of the valley where the fox was born〉 educate as peripheral emphasis, the principle of an Ecofeminis-poetry. The method of education is to develop and practice a social community culture of equality, win-win, mutual bond by integrating spaces in the home, school, and society. The education of 〈The family of the valley where the fox was born〉 from the Ecofeminism poetic perspective is an expression technique such as overall image, poetic speakers, the dialect poetic-language, repetition and enumeration. And it is a point of implication to contribute to solving social community problems by developing and practicing social community culture of social practice attitudes.

        Ginsenoside Rh2 reduces depression in offspring of mice with maternal toxoplasma infection during pregnancy by inhibiting microglial activation via the HMGB1/TLR4/NF-kB signaling pathway

        Background: Maternal Toxoplasma gondii (T. gondii) infection during pregnancy has been associated with various mental illnesses in the offspring. Ginsenoside Rh2 (GRh2) is a major bioactive compound obtained from ginseng that has an anti-T. gondii effect and attenuates microglial activation through toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4)/nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-kB) signaling pathway. GRh2 also alleviated tumor-associated or lipopolysaccharide-induced depression. However, the effects and potential mechanisms of GRh2 on depression-like behavior in mouse offspring caused by maternal T. gondii infection during pregnancy have not been investigated. Methods: We examined GRh2 effects on the depression-like behavior in mouse offspring, caused by maternal T. gondii infection during pregnancy, by measuring depression-like behaviors and assaying parameters at the neuronal and molecular level. Results: We showed that GRh2 significantly improved behavioral measures: sucrose consumption, forced swim time and tail suspended immobility time of their offspring. These corresponded with increased tissue concentrations of 5-hydroxytryptamine and dopamine, and attenuated indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase or enhanced tyrosine hydroxylase expression in the prefrontal cortex. GRh2 ameliorated neuronal damage in the prefrontal cortex. Molecular docking results revealed that GRh2 binds strongly to both TLR4 and high mobility group box 1 (HMGB1). Conclusion: This study demonstrated that GRh2 ameliorated the depression-like behavior in mouse offspring of maternal T. gondii infection during pregnancy by attenuating the excessive activation of microglia and neuroinflammation through the HMGB1/TLR4/NF-kB signaling pathway. It suggests that GRh2 could be considered a potential therapy in preventing and treating psychiatric disorders in the offspring mice of mothers with prenatal exposure to T. gondii infection.
