      • ??同位元素에 의한 火山灰土壤內 改良牧草의 燐酸肥料 利用效率에 關한 硏究

        火山灰土壤에서 orchardgrass와 ladino clover의 熔成燐肥와 燐鑛石의 利用效率을 究明하기 爲하여 野外 Pot試驗(試驗1)과 土壤內 置換成 燐酸(E-value), 可變態 燐酸(L-value) 測定을 爲해 ??同位元素를 利用하여 實驗室內 實驗(試驗2)을 施行하였다. 1. 牧草의 乾物收量은 濃暗褐色土壤과 黑色土壤에서 燐酸의 施用水準 增加함에 따라 增加되었으며 ?? 水準에서 顯著한 增加率을 나타내었다. 肥料의 種類에 따른 乾物增收 效果는 熔成燐肥가 모든 處理에서 優秀하였으나 黑色土壤에서 clover는 燐鑛石에 依해 增加效果를 나타냈다. 2. 牧草內 燐酸含量은 黑色土壤에서 施肥水準이 높아짐에 따라 有意的인 增加를 가져왔으며 濃暗褐色土壤에서는 clover의 單播 또는 混播에서 含量이 높아지고 있었다. 牧草內의 無機物 中 Na의 含量은 禾本科에 比해 荳科가 높았으며 K의 含量은 濃暗褐色土壤이 黑色土壤에 比해 높았다. 그러나 Ca와 Mg의 含量은 肥料水準이나 草種間에 큰 影響을 받지 않았다. 3. 供試土壤에 ?? 處理後 192時間의 E-value는 黑色土壤(5,552㎎/ℓ), 非火山灰土壤(1,125㎎/ℓ), 濃暗褐色土壤(801㎎/ℓ)의 順位였다. ??의 土壤吸着率은 黑色土壤에서 處理後 4日에 100%로 가장 빨랐고 濃暗褐色土壤과 非火山灰土壤에서 서서히 이루어져 處理後 8日에 各各 70% 및 80%의 燐酸이 土壤에 吸着되었다. L-value는 모든 土壤에서 clover가 orchardgrass보다 높았으며 熔成燐肥의 施用은 禾本科에서, 燐鑛石은 clover의 L-value를 높여 주었다. The growth responses of Dactylis glomerata and Trifolium repens to Fused-P and Rock-P were compared on the brown and black volcanic grassland soil in the outdoor pot experiment (Experiment 1). The E-value (Exchangeable value) of two soil types and L-value (Labile phosphorus value) measurements. using ?? tracer for P-uptake by two pasture species, were determined (Experiment 2). 1. Dry matter yield of orchardgrass and ladino clover on brown and black soil was increased according to level of fertilizer applied. There was marked increase in dry matter yield at the application rate of ?? per hectare. Influence of fertilizer on dry matter yield showed that Fused-P was more effective in all treatments with the exception of black soil with Rock-P. 2. The phosphorus content in the plant increased significantly according to the level of fertilizer applied on black soil. A similar tendency was observed in clover when sown singly or mixed on brown soil. Clover contained more Na than orchardgrass and the K content in the plant was higher in plant grown in brown soil than in black soil. No significant changes in content of Ca and Mg in the plant occured even different levels of fertilizer were used. 3. Exchangeable value (E-value) at 192 hours after ?? treatment was descending order, black soil ; 5552㎎/ℓ, non-volcanic soil ; 1125㎎/ℓand brown soil ; 801㎎/ℓ. Rapid P-binding kinetic in the soil solution was detected in the black soil (100% absorptive P within 4 days) and slow P-binding was observed in brown and non-volcanic soil with 70% and 80% absorptive P within 8 days of treatment respectively. L-value of pasture species was greater in orchardgrass than in clover on all soil types. It appears that Fused-P was more effective in the improvement of L-value of grass and Rock-P was more effective in the improvement of L-value of grass and Rock-P was influenced more by the L-value of clover.

        During anesthesia, unexpectedly endotracheal tube obstruction cause seriouscomplications which require early diagnosis and immediate management. Endotracheal tube obstruction with foreign body is rare. 74 year old man was scheduled for open lung biopsy. The patient was intubated with a 7.5 mm reinforced endotracheal tube and turned to the right lateral position. After 30 minute, signs of partial endotracheal obstruction was observed including high airway pressure and decreased end-tidal CO2. A suction catheter was not deeply advanced. A wheezing - like sound was heard. We temporarily stopped the operation and turned the patient to supine. We exchanged the tube with another one and found impacted mucous secretions at the distal tip of the tube.

        복식전자궁적출술 후 경막외 통증 관리시 0.1% Bupivacaine/Morphine과 0.1% Ropivacaine/Morphine의 비교

        Background: Local anesthetics combined with an opioid are frequently used as a postoperative epidural analgesia, to minimize individual doses and to reduce unwanted side effects. The aims of this study were to compare analgesic effectiveness, occurrence of motor block and other side effects of a 48 hr postoperative continuous epidural infusion of 0.1% bupivacaine/morphine or 0.1% repivacaine/morphine. Methods: Forty female patients scheduled for an elective total abdominal hysterectomy under general anesthesia were randomized in a double-blind fashion to receive either 0.1% bupivacaine with 0.02 mg/ml morphine or 0.1% ropivacaine with 0.02 mg/ml morphine using a continuous epidural analgesia pump at a rate of 4 ml/hr during the postoperative 48 hours. After toe operation, we assessed the blood pressure, heart rate, visual analog scale (VAS), side effects, additional analgesic requirement and time to ambulation for 48 hours in 12-hour intervals. Results: There were no significant differences in VAS on rest and cough between the groups, but VAS on deep breathing and position change were significantly lower in the bupivacaine group compared to the ropivacaine group. Side effects were similar in both groups except paresthesia. Time to ambulation was earlier in the ropivacaine troup compared to the bupivacaine group. Conclusions: Both the postoperative continuous epidural infusion of 0.1% bupivacaine with morphine and 0.1% ropivacaine with morphine provided similar pain relief and side effects. However, earlier recovery of ambulation in patients receiving ropivacaine/morphine will improve outcome after abdominal surgery. (Korean J Anesthesiol 2002; 43: 633~639)

      • 복부대동맥류를 동반한 환자의 위아전절제술 마취경험

        Abdominal aortic aneurysms rarely occur with cancerous lesion but occasionally with gastrointestinal malignancy, and need absolute blood pressure control to prevent rupture. A 71 year old male who complained dizzness and hematochezia. He has been managed for hypertension, stable angina and abdominal aortic aneurysm which diagnosed 2months ago. He was diagnosed as advanced gastric adenocarcinoma and subtotal gastrectomy was performed. General anesthesia was scheduled and epidural catheterization was performed to controll intraand post operative pain and minimize hemodynamic change to prevent aneurysmal rupture 37.5mg of Ropivacaine was injected through epidural catheter before anesthesia and infusion of remifentanyl and propofol was performed during general anesthesia. The blood pressure was maintained between 95/50 and 145/95 and did not significantly increased. The general-epidural combined method was successfully performed and we are report this case with a brief review of the literature.

        Acute unilateral airway obstruction may be developed immediately after general anesthetic induction. Tracheal intubation is essential procedure to support lives for who is coma or undergo general anesthesia, but several complications could occur. One of these is airway obstruction immediately after endotracheal tube insertion because of bronchial mucous plug, previous aspirated foreign body, hemoptysis ect. This acute bronchial obstruction may be manifested clinically by hypoxemia, cardiovascular instability, brain damage, if more aggravated to death due to partial or complete interruption of ventilation to an lung. Therefore if endotracheal tube obstruction may occur, early detection and treatment is very critical. A 53-year-old male patient underwent acute unilateral obstruction of bronchus immediately after inserted endotracheal tube, so he revealed hypoxemia, hypotension, but smooth operation and anesthetic care was progressed overall owing to endotracheal tube suction and replacement of tube.

        N/A The physiological effects of chitosan-oligomer on germination ratio, elongation ratio of seedling, and fresh weight in various kinds of vegetables (Chinese cabbage, radish, cucumber, watermelon, and melon) which are provided by domestic seed companies were investigated. Considering the effects of chitosan-oligomer on plant growth, it is concluded that chitosan-oligomer have the function of physiological activator even though there are some differences between species. The treatment concentration ranged from 0.01% to 0.05% was most effective in its physiological activation. Especially, cucumber and watermelon that are in the same taxa (Cucurbitaceas) showed a similar physiological response to chitosan-oligomer. As the results, the physiological activation of chitosan-oligomer on plants was affirmative in the domestic major vegetables as well.

        O-rings are commonly used in machines as a seal. Due to prolonged use the surface of an O-ring can degrade which can lead to leakage as well as contamination. Damage of O-rings used in vacuum applications such as sputter is caused by various mechanisms. Particles detached from the O-ring may cause significant problems on the performance of the system in the vacuum chamber. Therefore, understanding the tribological behavior of O-rings is important to tackle the damage caused by repeated contact. In this work, FKM rubber was used for friction and wear tests conducted to investigate the tribological behavior of O-rings. A reciprocating type of a tribo-tester was used for the tests. The friction coefficient between the steel ball and the FKM specimen was quite high. Also, in order to identify the wear behavior, the surface of the FKM specimen was characterized using both optical and scanning electron microscopes. Evidence of wear due to adhesion and extrusion could be found. The results of this work will aid in improving the durability of O-rings.

      • Recent trends of skin cancer in Korea from 2007 to 2013: a nation-wide cancer registry-based study with multicenter study

        Background: Although the incidence rates of skin cancers tend to increase, there have been few nation-wide epidemiologic studies on skin cancer in Korean. Objectives: We sought to investigate the incidence rates of skin cancers and time trends in Korean. Methods: We analyzed data of skin cancers from the Korean Central Cancer Registry (KCCR) from 2007 to 2013 and from our eight affiliated hospitals from 2007 to 2014. Results: Based on KCCR data and clinical records of dermatology outpatients from eight affiliated hospitals, a total of 27,757 cases were retrospectively reviewed. Overall incidence of skin cancer increased from 5.9/100,000 in 2007 to 9.2/100,000 in 2013. The incidence rates of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) and malignant melanoma (MM) increased from 5.1 /100,000 to 8.3/100,000 and from 0.78/100,000 to 1.01/100,000 during the same period, respectively. BCC (75.5%) and MM (39.9%) were the most common skin cancer in the head and neck area and in the extremities, respectively. Conclusion: Our results suggest that recently the incidence rates of skin cancers have increased in Korean, and that epidemiological data from our study can contribute to establishing diagnostic and treatment guidelines for skin cancers in Korean.

        Guided Wave ㎔ Spectroscopy of Explosive Materials

        One of the important applications of ㎔ time-domain spectroscopy (TDS) is the detection of explosive materials through identification of vibrational fingerprint spectra. Most recent ㎔ spectroscopic measurements have been made using pellet samples, where disorder effects contribute to line broadening, which results in the merging of individual resonances into relatively broad absorption features. To address this issue, we used the technique of parallel plate waveguide (PPWG) ㎔-TDS to achieve sensitive characterization of three explosive materials: TNT, RDX, and HMX. The measurement method for PPWG ㎔-TDS used well-established ultrafast optoelectronic techniques to generate and detect sub-picosecond THz pulses. All materials were characterized as powder layers in 112 ㎛ gaps in metal PPWG. To illustrate the PPWG ㎔-TDS method, we described our measurement by comparing the vibrational spectra of the materials, TNT, RDX, and HMX, applied as thin powder layers to a PPWG, or in conventional sample cell form, where all materials were placed in Teflon sample cells. The thin layer mass was estimated to be about 700 ㎍, whereas the mass in the sample cell was ~100 ㎎. In a laboratory environment, the absorption coefficient of an explosive material is essentially based on the mass of the material, which is given as: a(w)=[ln(IR(w)IS(w))]/m. In this paper, we show spectra of 3 different explosives from 0.2 to 2.4 ㎔ measured using the PPWG THz-TDS.
