        동북아시아의 도자기용 짚 포장의 모든 형태를 분류하고 포장기술을 비교 고찰하면서 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 1) 동북아시아에 있어서 많은 도자기용 짚 포장형태의 독자성은 벼 짚 단일 소재를 낭비없게 활용해서 각 산지의 포장형태는 정형화 되어있다. 산지별 포장 시스템이 산지의 도자기에 대응해서 포장가공기술을 공유하는 것으로 특색 있는 도자기용 짚 포장 산업기술이 형성되었다고 추측된다. 정형화에 의한 산지의 포장형태가 산지식별을 인식할 수 있는 정보기능을 가졌다고 생각할 수 있다. 동북아시아 공통의 짚 포장이면서 산지에 따라 아주 닮은 부분과 독자적이면서 특색 있는 다른 부분을 비교하면, 짚 포장 기술 문화를 통해서 각 나라마다의 문화가 보여진다. 2) 중국의 특색은 실제 조사의 70%에 달하는 산지에서 대량의 생활 도자기를 대상으로 포장의 방식이 미묘하게 다른 새끼줄 포장을 하고 있다. 친토첸시 (景德鎭市) 에서는 표준화된 이나쿠사(?草) 포장 기술 규정1)이 발포되어 포장 규정에 따라서 행해지고 있었다. 대형기종에는 새끼줄 감기계(係)ㆍ두꺼운 새끼줄(?) 감기 타입, 짚 꼬아서 감기 「捻龍? (염용권)」이 규정되었고, 소형기종에는 짚 싸기 계(係), 짚 싸기「模龍?(모용권)」이 규정되었으며, 그 외 왕겨지통이 활용되며 이것의 다른 이름으로는 ?糠筒(권강통)이라 불린다. 중국에서 포장형태계통과 그 유형은 德化(더화), ?州(광저우)의 짚 싸기(草券法:초권법)를 포함한 3계통, 10종으로 유형화되어 전통적 짚의 완충포장기술이 동북아시아에서 기술도 공유하면서 현재 활발히 실시되고 있다. 3) 한국에서는 1975년경을 경계로 짚 포장을 하지 않게 되어 12조사지구 중 실제로 복원 조사를 실시할 수 있었던 곳은 이천, 고산리의 2곳에 머물렀다. 따라서 표본 수는 많지 않지만 이천 일대의 도자기 포장은 짚으로 싸서 서울에 반출하고 있다고 한다. 짚 포장은 기형(器形)에 맞춘 짚으로 묶어, 기본이 되는 제품은 정해진 수량을 함께 싸고 있었던 것으로 확인되었다. 묶음 기능이나 기술에 있어서 중국, 일본과의 공통성이 보이며 한국의 도자기용 짚 포장의 특색은 짚 싸기가 주류로 새끼줄 감기(?包み), 굵은 새끼줄감기계(太??係)가 눈에 띄지 않는 것이다. 4) 일본의 짚 포장의 모든 형태는 도자기의 형상에서 대형기종에 대응하는 두꺼운 새끼줄감기타입과 소형기종에 대응하는 짚 싸기 타입의 2계통에 따른 8종으로 유형화되어 전국적에서 계승되고 있었다. 그림 1의 산지별 짚 포장형태는 지극히 유사한 경향이 확인되었으며 특색은 하역에 대한 「깨지기 쉬운 물건」으로 어필하는 「상품이 보이는 포장」으로 유통하고 있었던 것에 있다. 5) 일본에서 도자기용 짚 포장 형태의 수용은 요업기술의 전파와 깊은 관계가 보인다. 전파의 경로는 분명하지 않지만 전통적 짚 포장인 쌀의 俵, 苞, 菰나 ?의 문화를 기반으로 일부 외래문화의 가능성으로 요업기술에 수반해 도입되어 발달한 가능성도 생각할 수 있다.

        Sugar-Rich Food Intake Is Negatively Associated with Plasma Pentraxin 3 Levels

        Background: Levels of pentraxin 3 (PTX3), an anti-inflammatory cardioprotective protein, increase after weight loss in obese men and aerobic exercise in non-obese adults. However, the effect of nutritional characteristics on PTX3 levels remains unclear. This population-based, cross-sectional study investigated the association between circulating PTX3 levels and food intake in Japanese adults. Methods: We hypothesized that the consumption of high amounts of high-sugar foods would lead to low plasma PTX3 levels, resulting in obesity. This study included 327 participants categorized depending on the consumption of the recommended amount of confectionary and sugar-sweetened beverages (CSSB) into high and low groups. Results: PTX3 levels were significantly lower in the high CSSB group than in the low CSSB group. Biological sex was the strongest effector of PTX3 levels. Moreover, the intake of Tsukudani and CSSB, as well as some metabolic syndrome factors, also affect PTX3 levels. In the groups categorized by sex and age, the determinants of PTX3 levels differed. Body mass index, waist circumference (WC), and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) were significantly associated with PTX3 levels in women. Tsukudani, HDL-C, heart rate, saturated fatty acids, systolic blood pressure, and CSSB were associated with PTX3 levels in individuals aged >65 years. Conclusion: Our results show that circulating PTX3 levels are affected by sex, sugar-rich foods, and metabolic syndrome characteristics (WC, HDL-C).

      • 日韓における個別の指導計畵と個別化敎育計畵作成に對する敎員の意識に關する比較硏究

        障害のある子どもの敎育は, それぞれのニ―ズにあった敎育內容を實施し, その成果を繼續するため, 他の關係機關と連携協力していくことが必要である。しかし, 必ずしも敎員の理解や意識が十分ではなく, その改善に向けて, 日韓の特別支援學級の擔任が個別の指導計畵作成についてどのように考えているかを明らかにし, 兩國においてどのような違いがあるかを檢討した。その結果, 兩國の特別支援學級の擔任は, 個別の指導計畵の作成方法などについては旣に知っており, 個別の指導計畵の作成を職務の重要な部分, 最優先的な課題として考えていることが推察された。その一方, 兩國の特別支援學級の擔任は, 仕事に追われ, 余裕がない現狀と, 個別の指導計畵作成に對して義務的な職務として考えていることや, 不安感を抱えていることなども推察された。また, 日本の敎員は韓國の敎員より, 個別の指導計畵作成を優先的に考え, かつその內容などを旣に知っていると捉えていると同時に, 義務感も感じていた。他方, 韓國の敎員は日本の敎員より, 多忙感を感じていることが明らかになった。 Education for children with special educational needs should be implemented based on individual needs and to build sustainable educational development and collaborations with related organizations. However, teachers` understandings and attitudes for Individualized Instruction /Education plans (then after IEP) are not enough. This study was implemented to clarify and analyze attitudes of Japanese special class teachers and Korean ones about IEPs. Based on the results of this study, it can be said that special class teachers of both countries already knew the methodology how to make IEPs and recognized them as the important part and a matter of the highest priority. On the other hands, it can say that the teachers of both countries are very busy for their jobs and no composure. Because, they think, composing IEP should be their duties and fill anxiety by it. Furthermore, comparing with Korean teachers, Japanese teachers think themselves more strongly that composing IEP is in the highest priority, stronger sense of duty and knowledge about IEP. Korean teachers fill stronger pressure of business.

        Curcumin supplementation attenuates the decrease in endothelial function following eccentric exercise

        [Purpose] Eccentric exercise induces a decrease in vascular endothelial function. Curcumin, a major component of turmeric, has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that are associated with vascular protective effects. The present study examined the effect of acute supplementation of curcumin on eccentric exercise-induced endothelial dysfunction in healthy young men. [Methods] Fourteen healthy sedentary young men (range, 21–29 years) were assigned to either the curcumin (n = 6) or placebo (n = 8) group. All subjects consumed either curcumin or placebo before exercise, and eccentric exercise of the elbow flexors was performed with their nondominant arm. Before and 60 min after exercise, brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (FMD), as an indicator of endothelial function, was measured in the non-exercised arm. [Results] Brachial artery FMD significantly decreased following eccentric exercise (p < 0.05) in the placebo group, but acute supplementation with curcumin before exercise nullified this change. The change in FMD before and after eccentric exercise between the placebo and curcumin groups was significantly different (p < 0.05). [Conclusion] The present study found that acute curcumin supplementation could attenuate the decrease in endothelial function, as measured by FMD, following eccentric exercise in healthy young men.

        Orignal Paper : High circulating Levels of oxidized LDL in strength-trained athletes

        Oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) has been shown to play a major role in the progression of atherosclerosis and cardiovascular disease. Aerobic exercise training has been reported to decrease plasma oxLDL levels. However, until now, there have been no studies regarding the effect of strength exercise training on plasma oxLDL levels. The purpose of this study was to investigate the plasma oxLDL. concentration and antioxidant capacity of plasma in strength-trained athletes. We specifically assessed the total scavenging activity against plasma hydroxyl radical (HO,) and alkoxyl radical (RO,) by using the electron spin resonance (ESR) technique, as both radicals are involved in oxLDL production. The subjects included young strength-trained athletes (SA group; shot put, hammer, javelin throwers, or power lifters; n=9) and sedentary individuals (control group; n=9). We measured plasma oxLDL concentrations and total scavenging activity against HO, and RO. Maximal muscle strength, as assessed by isokinetic tests of the knee and elbow joints and maximal handgrip strength, was significantly greater in the SA group than in the control group. Plasma oxl.DL concentrations were found to be significantly higher in the SA group than in the control group. The total scavenging activity of plasma against HO, and RO. did not differ between the two groups. These results suggest that high-intensity strength training increases plasma oxLDL concentration without upregulating the total scavenging activity against plasma HO, and RO.

      • Detection of 1270 nm Emission from Singlet Oxygen due to Photodynamic Therapy in vitro and in vivo.

        Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a cancer treatment modality which utilizes the cytotoxicity of the active singlet oxygen derived from irradiation of a tumor accumulated photosensitizer. As the oxygen in the singlet state radiates an emission of 1270nm wavelength when it decays to the triplet state, detection of the emission helps us to understand the mechanism of PDT or to evaluate photosensitizers. We detected the 1270nm emission from photosensitizers Photofrin and ATX-SI0 in vitro and in vivo by means of high sensitive NIR detectors. We obtained the maximum amount of singlet oxygen at irradiation wavelength of 665-670nm from a HeLa tumor in a nude mouse which is injected with ATX-S10.
