This study observes the vertical perspective methods in urban architectural photography and takes Hong Kong building images as an example to explore the rendering method and effect based on the theory "Gestalt Laws of Organization" of Gestalt psychology. In the observation of building images with a vertical perspective, the authors first group the subjects by the shooting perspectives (a vertical front view or a vertical upward view), then, based on the Gestalt Laws of Organization, draw the conclusion about the role of shooting perspective in image composition as well as justifying the use of such perspectives in building images. The study shows, building images with a vertical front view are more flat, which feature will enhance the Equality of the forms of visual elements, and further take the advantages of the Gestalt Laws of Organization to connect these elements to realize an order-based coherence. While for building images with a vertical upward front view, the Law of Figure-ground is used as a major tool to define the visual hierarchy of the buildings and the sky, then create a perspective and gradient effect through the Law of Continuity and Law of Proximity to further improve the "three-dimensional rendering" and "spatial rendering". The study justifies the usage of vertical perspective in building photography, and the exploration and in-depth study of Gestalt Laws in building images could facilitate the understanding of connotations in the image composition.

Novels in China were recognized as the humble literature style and remained on the periphery for a long time. Getting to modern ages, novels were understood by the ways a save-the-nation drive and the Enlightenment and began to be written actively. Also novels occupied the central part of literature due to their diverse theories. Although the process was fairly unnatural, it aroused unprecedented development. Later it led to the birth of new novels of China after 4th May. It tried to study Zhuboshi; such as the social reality, wishes and anguish which they wanted to include by exploring novel theories and real creation of short stories which were actively discussed at that time.

Ginsenosides, which are the active materials of ginseng, have biological functions that include anti-osteoporotic effects. Aqueous ginseng extract inhibits osteoclast differentiation induced by receptor activator of NF-${\kappa}B$ ligand (RANKL). Aqueous ginseng extract produces chromatography peaks characteristic of ginsenosides. Among these peaks, ginsenoside Re is a major component. However, the preventive effects of ginsenoside Re against osteoclast differentiation are not known. We studied the effect of ginsenoside Re on osteoclast differentiation, RANKL-induced tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase (TRAP) activity, and formation of multinucleated osteoclasts in vitro. Ginsenoside Re hampered osteoclast differentiation in a dose-dependent manner. In an in vivo zebrafish model, aqueous ginseng extract and ginsenoside Re had anti-osteoclastogenesis effects. These findings suggest that both aqueous ginseng extract and ginsenoside Re prevent bone resorption by inhibiting osteoclast differentiation. Ginsenoside Re could be important for promoting bone health.
Loss of MicroRNA-137 Impairs the Homeostasis of Potassium in Neurons via KCC2

Neuropsychiatric disorders are the leading cause of mental and intellectual disabilities worldwide. Current therapies against neuropsychiatric disorders are very limited, and very little is known about the onset and development of these diseases, and their most effective treatments. MIR137 has been previously identified as a risk gene for the etiology of schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and autism spectrum disorder. Here we generated a forebrain-specific MIR137 knockout mouse model, and provided evidence that loss of miR-137 resulted in impaired homeostasis of potassium in mouse hippocampal neurons. KCC2, a potassium-chloride co-transporter, was a direct downstream target of miR-137. The KCC2 specific antagonist VU0240551 could balance the current of potassium in miR-137 knockout neurons, and knockdown of KCC2 could ameliorate anxiety-like behavior in MIR137 cKO mice. These data suggest that KCC2 antagonists or knockdown might be beneficial to neuropsychiatric disorders due to the deficiency of miR-137.

Background: Changes to work-life balance has increased the incidence of cervical cancer among youngerpeople. A minor ginseng saponin known as ginsenoside Rk1 can inhibit the growth and survival ofhuman cancer cells; however, whether ginsenoside Rk1 inhibits HeLa cell proliferation is unknown. Methods and results: Ginsenoside Rk1 blocked HeLa cells in the G0/G1 phase in a dose-dependentmanner and inhibited cell division and proliferation. Ginsenoside Rk1 markedly also activated theapoptotic signaling pathway via caspase 3, PARP, and caspase 6. In addition, ginsenoside Rk1 increasedLC3B protein expression, indicating the promotion of the autophagy signaling pathway. Protein processingin the endoplasmic reticulum signaling pathway was downregulated in Gene Ontology (GO) andKyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway enrichment analyses, consistent with tealtimequantitative PCR and western blotting that showed YOD1, HSPA4L, DNAJC3, and HSP90AA1expression levels were dramatically decreased in HeLa cells treated with ginsenoside Rk1, with YOD1was the most significantly inhibited by ginsenoside Rk1 treatment. Conclusion: These findings indicate that the toxicity of ginsenoside Rk1 in HeLa cells can be explained bythe inhibition of protein synthesis in the endoplasmic reticulum and enhanced apoptosis, with YOD1acting as a potential target for cervical cancer treatment.

Objective: The current research was aimed to profile the transcriptomic picture of the peripheral blood lymphocytes (PBLs) associated with immunity in Chinese Holsteins supplemented orally with coated folic acid during the periparturient period. Methods: The total of 123 perinatal cows were selected for this study and divided into three groups; group A (n = 41, 240 mg/500 kg cow/d), group B (n = 40, 120 mg/500 kg cow/d) and group C (n = 42, 0 mg/cow/d) based on the quantity of folic acid fed. Three samples of PBLs were selected from each folic acid treated group (high, low, and control) and RNA sequencing method was carried out for transcriptomic analysis. Results: The analysis revealed that a higher number of genes and pathways were regulated in response to high and low folic acid supplementation compared to the controls. We reported the novel pathways tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling, antigen processing and presentation, Staphylococcus aureus infection and nuclear factor (NF)-kappa B signaling pathways) and the key genes (e.g. C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10, TNF receptor superfamily member 1A, cluster difference 4, major histocompatibility complex, class II, DQ beta, NF-kappa-B inhibitor alpha, and TNF superfamily 13) having great importance in immunity and anti-inflammation in the periparturient cows in response to coated folic acid treatment. Conclusion: Collectively, our study profiled first-time transcriptomic analysis of bovine lymphocytes and compared the involved cytokines, genes, and pathways between high vs control and low vs control. Our data suggest that the low folic acid supplementation (120 mg/500 kg) could be a good choice to boost appropriate immunity and anti-inflammation as well as might being applied to the health improvement of perinatal dairy cows.
