Spatial Correlation-based Resource Sharing in Cognitive Radio SWIPT Networks

Mei Rong,Zhonghua Liang 한국인터넷정보학회 2022 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.16 No.9

Cognitive radio-simultaneous wireless information and power transfer (CR-SWIPT) has attracted much interest since it can improve both the spectrum and energy efficiency of wireless networks. This paper focuses on the resource sharing between a point-to-point primary system (PRS) and a multiuser multi-antenna cellular cognitive radio system (CRS) containing a large number of cognitive users (CUs). The resource sharing optimization problem is formulated by jointly scheduling CUs and adjusting the transmit power at the cognitive base station (CBS). The effect of accessing CUs’ spatial channel correlation on the possible transmit power of the CBS is investigated. Accordingly, we provide a low-complexity suboptimal approach termed the semi-correlated semi-orthogonal user selection (SC-SOUS) algorithm to enhance the spectrum efficiency. In the proposed algorithm, CUs that are highly correlated to the information decoding primary receiver (IPR) and mutually near orthogonal are selected for simultaneous transmission to reduce the interference to the IPR and increase the sum rate of the CRS. We further develop a spatial correlation-based resource sharing (SC-RS) strategy to improve energy sharing performance. CUs nearly orthogonal to the energy harvesting primary receiver (EPR) are chosen as candidates for user selection. Therefore, the EPR can harvest more energy from the CBS so that the energy utilization of the network can improve. Besides, zero-forcing precoding and power control are adopted to eliminate interference within the CRS and meet the transmit power constraints. Simulation results and analysis show that, compared with the existing CU selection methods, the proposed low-complex strategy can enhance both the achievable sum rate of the CRS and the energy sharing capability of the network.

Resilient Consensus Control for Linear Multi-agent System Against the False Data Injection Attacks

        Meirong Wang,Jianqiang Hu,Jinde Cao 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.7

This paper is concerned with the resilient consensus control problem of the linear multi-agent system under the false data injection attacks, where each agent may receive the injected false data by attackers from its neighbours through communication links. Due to the existence of the false data, the desired consensus of multi-agent can not be reached by the general distributed consensus algorithms. By constructing an extended state observer to estimate the state and the injected false data towards each agent, a distributed resilient consensus control algorithm is designed to offset the negative effect of the attacks. Firstly, a sufficient condition is derived for the undirected multiagent system under a bounded and decaying false data injection. Secondly, a sufficient and necessary condition is provided for the directed multi-agent system under the false data injection with decaying rate. Finally, the simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed consensus algorithms against the false data attacks.

Fuzzy optimization of radon reduction by ventilation system in uranium mine

Meirong Zhang,Jianyong Dai Korean Nuclear Society 2023 Nuclear Engineering and Technology Vol.55 No.6

Radon and radon progeny being natural radioactive pollutants, seriously affect the health of uranium miners. Radon reduction by ventilation is an essential means to improve the working environment. Firstly, the relational model is built between the radon exhalation rate of the loose body and the ventilation parameters in the stope with radon percolation-diffusion migration dynamics. Secondly, the model parameters of radon exhalation dynamics are uncertain and described by triangular membership functions. The objective functions of the left and right equations of the radon exhalation model are constructed according to different possibility levels, and their extreme value intervals are obtained by the immune particle swarm optimization algorithm (IPSO). The fuzzy target and fuzzy constraint models of radon exhalation are constructed, respectively. Lastly, the fuzzy aggregation function is reconstructed according to the importance of the fuzzy target and fuzzy constraint models. The optimal control decision with different possibility levels and importance can be obtained using the swarm intelligence algorithm. The case study indicates that the fuzzy aggregation function of radon exhalation has an upward trend with the increase of the cut set, and fuzzy optimization provides the optimal decision-making database of radon treatment and prevention under different decision-making criteria.

        Primary Carnitine Deficiency and Cardiomyopathy

        Lijun Fu,Meirong Huang,Shubao Chen 대한심장학회 2013 Korean Circulation Journal Vol.43 No.12

Carnitine is essential for the transfer of long-chain fatty acids from the cytosol into mitochondria for subsequent β-oxidation. A lack of carnitine results in impaired energy production from long-chain fatty acids, especially during periods of fasting or stress. Primary carnitine deficiency (PCD) is an autosomal recessive disorder of mitochondrial β-oxidation resulting from defective carnitine transport and is one of the rare treatable etiologies of metabolic cardiomyopathies. Patients affected with the disease may present with acute metabolic decompensation during infancy or with severe cardiomyopathy in childhood. Early recognition of the disease and treatment with L-carnitine may be life-saving. In this review article, the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of PCD are discussed, with a focus on cardiac involvements.

Load carrying capacity of CFRP retrofitted broken concrete arch

        Peng Wang,Meirong Jiang,Hailong Chen,Fengnian Jin,Jiannan Zhou,Qing Zheng,Hualin Fan 국제구조공학회 2017 Steel and Composite Structures, An International J Vol.23 No.2

To reuse a broken plain concrete (PC) arch, a retrofitting method was proposed to ensure excellent structural performances, in which carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRPs) were applied to repair and strengthen the damaged PC arch through bonding and wrapping techniques. Experiments were carried out to reveal the deformation and the load carrying capacity of the retrofitted composite arch. Based on the experiments, repairing and strengthening effects of the CFRP retrofitted broken arch were revealed. Simplified analysing model was suggested to predict the peak load of the CFRP retrofitted broken arch. According to the research, it is confirmed that absolutely broken PC arch can be completely repaired and reinforced, and even behaves more excellent than the intact PC arch when bonded together and strengthened with CFRP sheets. Using CFRP bonding/wrapping technique a novel efficient composite PC arch structure can be constructed, the comparison between rebar reinforced concrete (RC) arch and composite PC arch reveals that CFRP reinforcements can replace the function of steel bars in concrete arch.

An Inter-Ethnic Comparison Study of Ziprasidone Plasma Levels, Dosage and Clinical Response in Patients with Schizophrenia

        Dongsheng Lv,Meirong Zhao,Lixia Chen,Dongsheng Yu,Xiaobin Yun,Qing Yang,Xiaojun Huang 대한신경정신의학회 2017 PSYCHIATRY INVESTIGATION Vol.14 No.3

Objective: The aim of this study was to investigate ziprasidone plasma concentration, daily dose and clinical efficacy and safety in Han Chinese and Mongolian patients with first-episode schizophrenia. Methods: A total of 123 inpatients affected by schizophrenia were recruited from the Mental Health Center of Inner Mongolia in China. Ziprasidone plasma concentration, clinical efficacy and side effects were systematically evaluated at baseline, and at 1, 2, 4, and 6 weeks. Metabolic measures such as changes in weight, body mass index (BMI), fasting blood glucose (FBG), triglycerides, and cholesterol, were also recorded. Results: 90 patients completed the study. Compared with Han patients, on average, Mongolian patients received a significantly higher ziprasidone dosage for adequate symptom control during the 6-week period and had a lower plasma concentration-to-dose ratio. The Mongolian patients also experienced greater increases in weight and BMI. No significant differences between the two ethnic groups were found in the rate of reduction in the Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale (PANSS) score, Treatment Emergent Symptom Scale (TESS) total score, FBG, triglycerides, cholesterol or Q-Tc interval. Conclusion: Compared to Han Chinese patients, Mongolian patients appeared to have increased ziprasidone clearance and require higher doses to achieve effective treatment for schizophrenia.

TCP10L synergizes with MAD1 in transcriptional suppression and cell cycle arrest through mutual interaction

( Suqin Shen ),( Jie Zuo ),( Huan Feng ),( Meirong Bai ),( Chenji Wang ),( Youheng Wei ),( Yanhong Li ),( Yichen Le ),( Jiaxue Wu ),( Yanhua Wu ),( Long Yu ) 생화학분자생물학회(구 한국생화학분자생물학회) 2016 BMB Reports Vol.49 No.6

T-complex protein 10A homolog 2 (TCP10L) was previously demonstrated to be a potential tumor suppressor in human hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). However, little is known about the molecular mechanism. MAX dimerization protein 1 (MAD1) is a key transcription suppressor that is involved in regulating cell cycle progression and Myc-mediated cell transformation. In this study, we identified MAD1 as a novel TCP10L-interacting protein. The interaction depends on the leucine zipper domain of both TCP10L and MAD1. TCP10L, but not the interaction-deficient TCP10L mutant, synergizes with MAD1 in transcriptional repression, cell cycle G1 arrest and cell growth suppression. Mechanistic exploration further revealed that TCP10L is able to stabilize intracellular MAD1 protein level. Consistently, the MAD1-interaction-deficient TCP10L mutant exerts no effect on stabilizing the MAD1 protein. Taken together, our results strongly indicate that TCP10L stabilizes MAD1 protein level through direct interaction, and they cooperatively regulate cell cycle progression. • The Research of Relationship between SICSFCL and Distance Relay Protection of Power Grid

Wang, Jianzhong,Cui, Jibin,Xiong, Zhiquan,Zi, Meirong The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2012 The Journal of International Council on Electrical Vol.2 No.2

A Saturated Iron Core Superconducting Fault Current Limiter (SICSFCL) provides a powerful fault current limitation in high voltage and high capacity power grid. A 35kV/90MVA SICSFCL was installed in a 35 kV network for live-grid operation, in January 2008 at Puji substation, Kunming, China. With deep research on SICSFCL, the matching problem between SICSFCL and relay protection currently needs to be solved. This paper analyzes the influence that SICSFCL brings to the distance relay protection which is used widely in high voltage power grid, and considering the characteristics of microcomputerbased protection, this paper proposes a new algorithm to eliminate the influence.

Differences in the gut microbiota between Cercopithecinae and Colobinae in captivity

        Zongjin Huan,Yongfang Yao,Jianqiu Yu,Hongwei Chen,Meirong Li,Chaojun Yang,Bo Zhao,Qingyong Ni,Mingwang Zhang,Meng Xie,Huailiang Xu 한국미생물학회 2020 The journal of microbiology Vol.58 No.5

The gut microbiome of captive primates can provide a window into their health and disease status. The diversity and composition of gut microbiota are influenced by not only host phylogeny, but also host diet. Old World monkeys (Cercopithecidae) are divided into two subfamilies: Cercopithecinae and Colobinae. The diet and physiological digestive features differ between these two subfamilies. Accordingly, highthroughput sequencing was used to examine gut microbiota differences between these two subfamilies, using data from 29 Cercopithecinae individuals and 19 Colobinae individuals raised in captivity. Through a comparative analysis of operational taxonomic units (OTUs), significant differences in the diversity and composition of gut microbiota were observed between Cercopithecinae and Colobinae. In particular, the gut microbiota of captive Old World monkeys clustered strongly by the two subfamilies. The Colobinae microbial diversity was higher than that of Cercopithecinae. Additionally, Firmicutes, Lactobacillaceae, Veillonellaceae, and Prevotella abundance were higher in Cercopithecinae, while Bacteroidetes, Ruminococcaceae, Christensenellaceae, Bacteroidaceae, and Acidaminococcaceae abundance were higher in Colobinae. PICRUSt analysis revealed that the predicted metagenomes of metabolic pathways associated with proteins, carbohydrates, and amino acids were significantly higher in Colobinae. In the context of host phylogeny, these differences between Cercopithecinae and Colobinae could reflect adaptations associated with their respective diets. This well-organized dataset is a valuable resource for future related research on primates and gut microbiota. Moreover, this study may provide useful insight into animal management practices and primate conservation.
