      • Study on the Aerodynamic Characteristics of Tunnel and Metro Station with PSD During High-speed Train Passing Tunnel

Luo Jian-jun 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.6

A numerical simulation on the 3D compressible viscous unsteady flow field induced by a high-speed subway train, while it’s passing by the platform screen door of subway station, is presented in the paper. The research on transient pressure in tunnel due to changes of positions of platform screen door is proceeded in order to design platform screen doors for underground stations of Dong-guan to Huizhou inter-city rail traffic. Result shows that the platform is subjected to aerodynamic compression and tension cycle loads all the time. And compression load is larger than tension load. The maximum and minimum pressure values in absolute terms got from measuring points of the whole station decrease gradually along the direction train going ,no matter whether the platform screen door is fixed or not. The absolute values of maximum and minimum pressure of piston wind generated at platform screen door are decreasing while the spacing between platform screen door and platform becomes wider. The pressure value of air at exit is larger than that of air at entrance. As for a high-speed subway station, it is a practicable way to set air shafts at entrance and exit of station to mitigate pressure of air in station and tunnel. The pressure value of air could have a 10 to 15 percent reduction if there is an air shaft. Besides, the platform screen door can be installed in half tall of PSD.

Analysis of Volatile Compounds of Jasmine Scented Tea during the Orthodox Manufacturing Process Using HS-SPME/GC-MS

        Jian Lu,De-Jun Fu,Dong-Fen Wu,Yu Liu,Yao-Ping Luo 한국차학회 2015 한국차학회지 Vol.- No.S

Volatile components of jasmine-scented tea during the orthodox manufacturing process were extracted using Headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) and the major flavor compounds were identified by Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry/Retention indices (GC-MS/RI). The major volatile compounds extracted by SDE could also be obtained by HS-SPME, which appears more suitable for extraction of aromatic compounds, for its advantages of simplicity and convenience. The GC-MS chromatograms of tea samples showed that the aromatic constituents of jasmine tea had been identified in composition after 1st scenting, which contained 6 apparently high peaks representing linalool, benzyl acetate, α-farnesene, (Z)-3-hexenyl benzoate, methyl anthranilate, and indole. According to the change of peak area of major volatile compounds, (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate and (Z)-3-hexenyl butyrate with green grass aroma reduced by 71.13% and 63.10% respectively in jasmine tea product, while 7 compounds with favorable flowery fruity aroma-benzyl acetate, (Z)-3-hexenyl benzoate, linalool, benzyl alcohol, α-farnesene, methyl anthranilate and indole- increased by 17.84%, 28.33 times, 32.49%, 1.70 times, 6.67 times, 11.84 times and 21.48 times respectively, comparing to the base tea. Besides, nerolidol (fruity-flowery) and germacrene D (woody), not detected in the base tea also gradually increased. The quality grade of jasmine tea was potentially correlated to the ratio of peak area of the 9 favorable compounds to that of the 2 grass compounds. After 1st scenting, the peak areas of compounds from jasmine flower increased by 1.81×105-18.24×105, and decreased by 36.14%-69.95% after the 1st drying. The peak areas of some components detected in both the base tea and jasmine flowers, like (Z)-3-hexenyl acetate and methyl salicylate, increased by 9.05%-57.60% of those of the base tea after 1st scenting, and lost more than 100% after the 1st drying, while the increased peak areas of some other components both detected, like α-farnesene and indole, were more than peak areas of the base tea, with 30%- 95% loss after the 1st drying. The content change tendency of volatiles during 2nd scenting and the 2nd drying were consistent with those during 1st scenting and the 1st drying. After raising fragrance, the contents of some low boiling point volatiles and compounds not detected in the base tea increased.

      • FOXA1: a Promising Prognostic Marker in Breast Cancer

        Hu, Qing,Luo, Zhou,Xu, Tao,Zhang, Jun-Ying,Zhu, Ying,Chen, Wei-Xian,Zhong, Shan-Liang,Zhao, Jian-Hua,Tang, Jin-Hai Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.1

Accurate diagnosis and proper monitoring of cancer patients remain important obstacles for successful cancer treatment. The search for cancer biomarkers can aid in more accurate prediction of clinical outcome and may also reveal novel predictive factors and therapeutic targets. One such prognostic marker seems to be FOXA1. Many studies have shown that FOXA1 is strongly expressed in a vast majority of cancers, including breast cancer, in which high expression is associated with a good prognosis. In this review, we summarize the role of this transcription factor in the development and prognosis of breast cancer in the hope of providing insights into utility of FOXA1 as a novel biomarker.

      • Prognostic Significance of Overexpression of EZH2 and H3k27me3 Proteins in Gastric Cancer

        He, Long-Jun,Cai, Mu-Yan,Xu, Guo-Liang,Li, Jian-Jun,Weng, Zi-Jin,Xu, Da-Zhi,Luo, Guang-Yu,Zhu, Sen-Lin,Xie, Dan Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2012 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.13 No.7

The enhancer of zeste homolog 2 (EZH2) methyl transferase and histone 3 lysine 27 (H3K27me3) protein can repress gene transcription, and their aberrant expression has been observed in various human cancers. This study determined their expression levels in gastric cancer tissues with reference to clinicopathological features and patient survival. We collected 117 gastric cancer and corresponding normal tissues for immunohistochemistry analysis. In gastric cancers, 82/117 (70.1%) were positive for EZH2 and 66/117 (56.4%) for H3K27me3 proteins in contrast to only 5.41% and 7.25% of normal gastric mucosa specimens, respectively. Kaplan-Meier survival data showed the average overall and disease-free survival of EZH2 high expression patients was 25.2 and 20.2 months, respectively, shorter than that with EZH2 low expression (40.5 and 35.9 months). The average overall survival and disease-free survival of high H3K27me3 expression patients was 23.4 and 17.4 months, shorter than without H3K27me3 expression (37.6 and 34.5 months). The average overall survival and disease-free survival of patients with both EZH2 and H3K27me3 expression was 18.8 and 12.9 months, respectively, shorter than that with either alone (34.7 and 31.2 months) or with low levels of both (43.9 and 39.9 months). Multivariate Cox regression analysis showed that H3K27me3 and EZH2 expression, tumor size differentiation and clinical stage were all independent prognostic factors for predicting patient survival. This study demonstrated that detection of both EZH2 and H3K27me3 proteins can predict poor survival of gastric cancer patients, superior to single protein detection. In addition, H3K27me3 and EZH2 protein expression could predict lymph node metastasis.

Critical effects of long non-coding RNA on fibrosis diseases

        Yue Zhang,Gang Luo,Yi Zhang,Mengjie Zhang,Jian Zhou,Weiwu Gao,Xiuyun Xuan,Xia Yang,Di Yang,Zhiqiang Tian,Bing Ni,Jun Tang 생화학분자생물학회 2018 Experimental and molecular medicine Vol.50 No.-

The expression or dysfunction of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) is closely related to various hereditary diseases, autoimmune diseases, metabolic diseases and tumors. LncRNAs were also recently recognized as functional regulators of fibrosis, which is a secondary process in many of these diseases and a primary pathology in fibrosis diseases. We review the latest findings on lncRNAs in fibrosis diseases of the liver, myocardium, kidney, lung and peritoneum. We also discuss the potential of diseaserelated lncRNAs as therapeutic targets for the clinical treatment of human fibrosis diseases.

Face Stability Analysis of Slurry Shield Tunnels in Rock–Soil Interface Mixed Ground

        Ping Lu,Da-Jun Yuan,Jian Chen,Dalong Jin,Jun Wu,Weiping Luo 대한토목학회 2021 KSCE Journal of Civil Engineering Vol.25 No.6

When shield tunneling in rock-soil interface (RSI) mixed ground, maintaining the stability of the tunnel face is very challenging. This study aims at the investigation of the face stability of slurry shield tunnels in RSI mixed ground. A new apparatus was developed to simulate pressurized slurry supporting the tunnel face in centrifuge tests. The progressive failure of the tunnel face was triggered with slow decrease of slurry pressure. With two equivalent model tunnels of circular shape and semicircular shape, the variations of soil (water) pressure and the displacement field in front of the tunnel can be obtained simultaneously. The face failure was found to be a local collapse in the upper soil layer. The limit support pressure was picked out at the sudden change of the measured soil or water pressures. Then the classical wedge-prism model was introduced and modified to calculate the limit support pressure for slurry shield tunnels in RSI mixed ground considering the partial collapse. Numerical analysis was applied to verify the theoretical analysis and sensitivity analysis was performed to estimate the influence of different parameters on the theoretical solutions.

Carotid Plaque Stiffness Measured with Supersonic Shear Imaging and Its Correlation with Serum Homocysteine Level in Ischemic Stroke Patients

        Jing Shang,Wen Wang,Jun Feng,Guo-gang Luo,Ying Dang,Jian Sun,Yan-qiu Yang,Li-tao Ruan 대한영상의학회 2018 Korean Journal of Radiology Vol.19 No.1

Objective: To ascertain the feasibility of using shear wave velocity (SWV) in assessing the stiffness of carotid plaque by supersonic shear imaging (SSI) and explore preliminary clinical value for such evaluation. Materials and Methods: Supersonic shear imaging was performed in 142 patients with ischemic stroke, including 76 males and 66 females with mean age of 66 years (range, 45–80 years). The maximum, minimum, and mean values of SWV were measured for 129 carotid plaques. SWVs were compared between echolucent and echogenic plaques. Correlations between SWVs and serum homocysteine levels were investigated. Based on neurological symptom, the surrogate marker of vulnerable plaque (VP), binary logistic regression was performed and area under curve (AUC) of homocysteine only and homocysteine combing SWVmean was calculated respectively. Results: Echogenic plaques (n = 51) had higher SWVs than echolucent ones (n = 78) (SWVmin 3.91 [3.24−4.17] m/s vs. 1.51 [1.04−1.94] m/s; SWVmean, 4.29 [3.98−4.57] m/s vs. 2.09 [1.69−2.41] m/s; SWVmax, 4.67 [4.33−4.86] m/s vs. 2.62 [2.32−3.31] m/s all p values < 0.01). Pearson correlation analysis showed that stiffness of plaques was negatively correlated with homocysteine level. R values for SWVmin, SWVmean, and SWVmax were -0.205, -0.213, and -0.199, respectively. Binary logistic regression analysis showed that sex (p = 0.008), low-density lipoprotein (p = 0.015), triglycerides (p = 0.011), SWVmean (p = 0.004), and hyper-homocysteinemia (p = 0.010) were significantly associated with symptomatic ischemic stroke. Receiver operating characteristic curves revealed that SWVmean combing serum homocysteine level (AUC = 0.67) presented better diagnostic value than serum homocysteine only (AUC = 0.60) for symptomatic ischemic stroke. Conclusion: Supersonic shear imaging could be used to quantitatively evaluate stiffness of both echolucent and echogenic carotid plaques. More importantly, SWVs of plaques were not only correlated to serum homocysteine level, but also associated with symptomatic ischemic stroke, suggesting that SSI might be useful for understanding more about VP.
