A luminescent Tb3+-pyromellitic acid (H4L = pyromellitic acid) coordination polymer (Tb-H4L CP, TbL0.5(H2L)0.5(H2O)DMF) was prepared for multiresponsive fluorescence sensor. The Tb-H4L CP exhibits uniform nanospheres with average diameter of 220 20 nm, good crystalline structure, and good dispersion in water. The Tb-H4L CP emitted the characteristic green fluorescence through antenna effect from H4L which was an excellent antenna molecule when excited at 270 nm and could be used to selectively determine Fe3+ and polychlorinated benzenes based on fluorescence quenching effect. The coordination between Fe3+ and carboxylic oxygen of Tb-H4L to damage the antenna effect and polychlorinated benzenes absorb the excitation light to result the inner-filter effect of fluorescence, which quenched the fluorescence of Tb-H4L CP. The linear range for Fe3+ was 2.0–100mM with a detection limit of 0.7mM and for 1,3,5-trichlorobenzene was 0–0.44 103 ppm with a detection limit of 0.087 ppm. The Tb-H4L CP demonstrates excellent fluorescence sensing performances, indicating that it can be used as a multi-response sensor to effectively measure toxic and harmful substances.
Finite-time Control for Discrete-Time Switched Systems with Time Delay
Lin-Lin Hou,Guang-Deng Zong,Yu-Qiang Wu 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2012 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.10 No.4
The problem of finite-time state feedback control is considered in this paper for a class of discrete-time switched systems with time delay. Firstly, the concepts of finite-time stability and finite-time boundedness are extended to discrete-time switched systems with time delay, respectively. Then, by re-sorting to the average dwell time approach and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional technology, some new delay-dependent criteria guaranteeing finite-time boundedness and stability are developed. The state feedback controller is also obtained by virtue of a cone complement linearization (CCL) method. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.

Objective: To effectively use corn stover resources as animal feed, the changes in microbial population and chemical composition of corn stover during field exposure, and their silage fermentation and in vitro digestibility were studied. Methods: Corn cultivars (Jintian, Jinnuo, and Xianyu) stovers from 4 random sections of the field were harvested at the preliminary dough stage of maturity on September 2, 2015. The corn stover exposed in the field for 0, 7, 15, 30, 60, 90, and 180 d, and their silages at 60 d of ensiling were used for the analysis of microbial population, chemical composition, fermentation quality, and in vitro digestibility. Data were analyzed with a completely randomized 3×6 [corn stover cultivar (C)×exposure d (D)] factorial treatment design. Analysis of variance was performed using SAS ver. 9.0 software (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). Results: Aerobic bacteria were dominant population in fresh corn stover. After ensiling, the lactic acid bacteria (LAB) became the dominant bacteria, while other microbes decreased or dropped below the detection level. The crude protein (CP) and water-soluble carbohydrate (WSC) for fresh stover were 6.74% to 9.51% and 11.75% to 13.21% on a dry matter basis, respectively. After exposure, the CP and WSC contents decreased greatly. Fresh stover had a relatively low dry matter while high WSC content and LAB counts, producing silage of good quality, but the dry stover did not. Silage fermentation inhibited nutrient loss and improved the fermentation quality and in vitro digestibility. Conclusion: The results confirm that fresh corn stover has good ensiling characteristics and that it can produce silage of good quality.

Bio-inspired Fabrication of Cu-Ni Coatings onto Mercerized Flax Fabric by Electroless Plating
Lin Zhu,Hang Zhao,Bijian Lan,Lei Hou,Siyi Bi,Yumeng Xu,Yinxiang Lu 한국섬유공학회 2020 Fibers and polymers Vol.21 No.2
This research mainly prepared a bio-friendly electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding fabric, and discussed the influence of the grammage (i.e. 120 g/m2, 160 g/m2 and 210 g/m2, etc) of fabric substrate on the preparation of metalbased EMI shielding conductive fabric by electroless plating. A series of steps involved mercerization, dopamine (DoPA) modification, Ni0 seeding and electroless copper-nickel (Cu-Ni) plating were carried out to fabricate ideal EMI shielding fabric. The prepared Cu-Ni fabric endowed relatively high EMI shielding effectiveness (SE) (34.80-42.00 dB) ranging from 30 to 4500 MHz, which made it a huge potential in the field of wearable EMI shielding. Moreover, another discovery was that a relative higher grammage may lead to a lower total metal loading. Furthermore, Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) measurements were conducted to verify the introduction of functional groups in mercerization, modification and activation procedures. The crystalline phases and morphologies of resulting Cu-Ni coatings were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission-scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) measurements. The atomic ratio (at.%) of Cu and Ni in the sample was determined by Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDX) measurements. Overall, the Cu-Ni alloy fabric prepared in this research met the requirements of health, coating lining and EMI shielding.

Semi-dwarfism is an agronomically important trait in breeding for resistance to damage by wind and rain (lodging resistance)and for stable high yields. Dwarf Polish wheat (Triticum polonicum L., 2n = 4x = 28, AABB AS304) is a potential donor of dwarfing and other traits for common wheat improvement. A genetic analysis using an F2 population derived from a cross of AS304 and tall cultivar AS302 and derived F2:3 lines indicated that AS304 carries a recessive dwarfing gene, temporarily designated Rht-dp. Molecular markers and bulked segregant analysis were used to characterize and map the gene. Eight polymorphic SSR markers (Xwmc511, Xgwm495, Xgwm 113, Xgwm192, Xgpw7026, Xgpw3017, Xgpw1108 and Xgpw7521) on chromosome arm 4BS and two AFLP markers (M8/E5 and M4/E3) were mapped relative to the dwarfing locus. The closest linked markers, Xgpw3017 and M8/E5 at 0.5 and 3.5 cM, respectively, from Rht-dp will enable its marker assisted transfer to wheat breeding populations. Allelic tests indicated that Rht-dp was allelic to Rht-B1b; hence it may be an alternative allele at the Rht-B1 locus.
Adaptive Fixed-time Output Feedback Tracking Control for Uncertain Nonlinear Systems
Shuchao Hou,Lin Zhao 제어·로봇·시스템학회 2023 International Journal of Control, Automation, and Vol.21 No.2
This article studies the fixed-time output feedback tracking control based on the command filtered backstepping method for nonlinear systems. The approximation technique of neural network is used to estimate uncertain dynamics. The fixed-time filter is introduced to overcome the problem of complexity explosion, and combined with the compensation signal to reduce the filtering error. It is worth noting that the convergence time of fixed-time control is predetermined, and there is no need to know the information of the system initial value. The final results show that the tracking error reach to the expected neighborhood near the origin in fixed-time. Eventually, the effectivenessof the proposed fixed-time control strategy is demonstrated by a simulation case.

The phenomenon of cavitation is an unsteady flow, which is nearly inevitable in pump. It would degrade the pump performance, produce vibration and noise and even damage the pump. Hence, to improve accuracy of the numerical prediction of the pump cavitation performance is much desirable. In the present work, a homogenous model, the Zwart-Gerber-Belamri cavitation model, is considered to investigate the influence of the empirical coefficients on predicting the pump cavitation performance, concerning a centrifugal pump. Three coefficients are analyzed, namely the nucleation site radius, evaporation and condensation coefficients. Also, the experiments are carried out to validate the numerical simulations. The results indicate that, to get a precise prediction, the approaches of declining the initial bubble radius, the condensation coefficient or increasing the evaporation coefficient are all feasible, especially for declining the condensation coefficient, which is the most effective way.

Fatigue test of a needled C/SiC composite with a notch under tension-tension cyclic loading was completed, and the main fatigue crack propagation curve of the needled composite was obtained by the in situ observation of the fatigue process. By analyzing the influence of the failure number and distribution on the tensile loading subjected by 0° fiber bundles, the relationship between the main fatigue crack propagation and the distribution of 0° fiber bundles in the needled composite was established. By observing the fracture microstructure (especially the distribution of 0° fiber bundles) of the needled composite through scanning electron microscopy, the reasons for the varying fatigue resistance of different notched specimens were also explained. In addition, acoustic emission (AE) was also used to analyze the AE energy characteristics during the fatigue crack propagation process of the needled composite.
