Why Does Bundled Product in Telecommunication Service Market Matter? : Evidence from South Korea

Due to network effects and market power with bundled product of telecommunication service market, service providers have to differentiate their product group in the competitive market. We explore that installed base(i.e., customer network), and a relationship between single and bundled products do affect corporate performance as well as a dominant transition of bundling market. We empirically describe these issues with data of which each net growth of single and multiple products(=bundled) was gathered by real industry of South Korea where there is overheated competition on their oligopoly market. We found strong evidences that through network effects, not only installed base was significantly associated with corporate finance such as total sales, total assets, and EBITDA, but also the difference between product types and size of installed base in single and multiple products was significant in a competitive market. As a result, our evidence provides an important explanation with operating firms currently. Furthermore, it was clear that using resource-based and market power view specifically vindicated the influences as we hypothesized.

Several problems with exhaust gas emitted by diesel engine must be solved. Especially particulate matter (PM) is the major concerns. To reduce emission of diesel soot, diesel particulate filter (DPF) has become widely known as an indispensable after-treatment component of the purification of the PM in the diesel exhaust gas. DPF is damaging by various forms such as whitening and crack due to controlled or uncontrolled regeneration and uncertain reasons, and there is no clear criterion to judge the cracked filter. So, we hope to classify the degree of filter crack using the particle emission characteristics. Filtration efficiency of PN for cracked filter is varying from time to time, it is showing a big differences by the test number. But, some failure shows no difference of PM filtration efficiency with fresh filter. In this study, we hope to find two objectives. First, it is find the reduction efficiency of PM mass & number for fresh and cracked filters. Second, we standardize the crack level of filter.

A traffic accident being happened on the road is mostly caused by rear-end collisions. In particular, the proportion of the big accident is high on the express highway. An information delivery system between cars is suggested as a method for decreasing the proportion of such big accident on the express highway. A traffic accident can be remarkably reduced if a rear car can notice the danger information of a front car in advance. If a GPS receiver and RF module are established in all the cars and the position coordinate and danger information received from the GPS receiver are sent to all the rear cars within the communication area, each of the rear cars can notice the opponent position, headway direction, and danger information by using the position coordinate and danger information received from the front car. Finally all the car drivers within the RF communication area can perceive the front danger information in advance. Accordingly, the present system delivers the front danger information to the rear car by means of a system between cars with low expense so that it can be easily employed as a device for safe driving on the express highway.
한국어 교육의 질적 개선 방안 고찰 - 교육서비스 품질이 학습전이, 학습효능감에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 한국어 교육의 질적 개선 방안을 마련하기 위하여 수행되었다. 이를 위해 한국어 교육서비스 품질, 학습전이, 학습효능감에 대한 개념 정의와 연구 도구를 마련하고, 통계적 분석을 통해 한국어 교육서비스 품질이 학습자의 학습전이와 학습효능감에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 규명하고자 하였다. 첫째, 한국어 교육서비스 품질 요인 중 교사 신뢰도와 교수품질이 학습자들의 학습전이를 끌어올리는 요인으로 작용했으며, 이들 중 교수품질의 영향력이 상대적으로 강한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 한국어 교육에서의 교육서비스 품질은 학습자의 학습효능감에 유의한 정적 영향을 미치고 있었다. 이들 중 교사의 신뢰도가 가장 강한 영향력을 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 한국어 교육의 질적 개선을 위해서는 다양한 교육 도구를 사용해야 하고, 학습자의 요구에 기반한 도구 선택이 선행되어야 할 것이다. 또한, 한국어 교사에 대한 지속적인 재교육, 학습자의 문화권에 대한 지속적인 학습을 통해 학습자들에게 교사로서의 신뢰도를 보일 수 있어야 학습자의 학습전이와 학습효능감을 높여 줄 수 있을 것이다. This study was conducted to prepare a plan for improving the quality of Korean language education. To this end, we prepared conceptual definitions and research tools for the quality of Korean education service, learning transfer, and learning efficacy. Furthermore, through a statistical analysis, the study attempted to empirically investigate how the quality of Korean language education service affects learners' learning transfer and learning efficacy and found the followings. First, among the quality factors of Korean education service, the factors that helped raise learners' learning transfer were teacher reliability and teaching quality, and the influence of teaching quality was found to be relatively strong among them. Second, educational service quality in Korean education had a significant positive effect on learners' learning efficacy, and among them, teachers’ trust was found to have the strongest influence. In order to improve the quality of Korean language education, various educational tools should be used, and they should be selected based on learners’ needs. It was The learning transfer and learning efficacy of learners could increase only when teachers can show their trust as a teachers to learners by re-educating themselves and learning about learners' culture continuously.

The architecture of WSN based Vehicle Speed Measurement System is presented in this paper from Telematics Sensor Network(TSN) to Management System. To verify the feasibility of the system, we implemented the vehicle speed measurement system and evaluated the accuracy of velocity measured by the system in our testbed, an old highway located near Kyungbu highway. The system performed over 95% of accuracy at 80kmph from the measurement. In addition, the battery life time of the sensor node was evaluated by simulation analysis with real measured current consumption profiles. Assuming the maximum average daily traffic in 2005, the battery life time is expected to be over 1.6 year from the simulation result.

This paper introduces an automated valet parking system (AVP) which applies an autonomous driving concept into the current parking assistant system (PAS). The present commercial PAS technology is limited into vehicle. It means vehicle only senses and controls by and for itself to assist the parking. Therefore, the present PAS is restricted to simple parking events. But AVP includes wider parking events and planning because it uses infra-sensor network as well as vehicle sensor. For the realization of AVP, the commercial steering system of a compact vehicle was modified into steer-by-wire structure and various sensors like LRF (Long Range Finder) and camera were installed in a parking area. And local & global server decides where and when the vehicle can go and park in the testing area after recognized the status of environment and vehicle from those sensors. GPS solution was used to validate the AVP performance. More various parking situations, vehicles and obstacles will be considered in the next research stages based on these results. And we expect this AVP solution with more intelligent vehicles can be applied in a big parking lot like a market, an amusement park, etc.

As it is known that the small size particles emitted from diesel engine are more harmful to human body, the concern about the emission of ultra-fine particles is growing. Then the total-Dumber-emission characteristics of nano PM that will be added to emerging regulation in the future are important targets of new coming technology to develope Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) system. In this paper, the nano PM emission characteristics in according with DPF porosity were evaluated and analyzed by Electric Low Pressure Impactor (ELPI) and Condensation Particle Counter (CPC). The total number of nano PM had been measured in different two case of DPF status ,those are, a PM loading case in filter and a cleaning case after regeneration. From the results of this study, the large difference of filtration efficiency of two cases was shown at low exhaust gas temperature(<400℃). And the more number of nano particles were emitted from 50% porosity DPF than 40% porosity DPF. But all of other experimental results including PM weight and engine performance were not different except the total number emission characteristic of nano PM.
